Baba’s way: see inner feeling + 3 more

Baba’s way: see inner feeling

Namaskar,

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “To attain salvation is the birth right of all individual beings. Paramátmá makes no difference between educated and uneducated, rich and poor, young and old – no such external difference has any meaning to Him. He is the all-knowing entity. He judges everything by studying the inner sentiments of individuals. Even the most sinful and most virtuous people are equally entitled to salvation in the eyes of Paramátmá.” (1)

Paramátmá only considers the inner thoughts and devotional sentiments of people. The intense desire to know Him, the deep urge to attain Him, the intense longing for Him – these are the qualities which Parama Puruśa values.

We are aware that in our Ananda Marga straight and clean conduct - not social status - has far more value and importance than any other quality. A classic proof of this is that during different DMCs, Sadguru Baba graciously treated everyone equally, whether rich or poor. In the DMC pandal, all margiis, irrespective of their nationality or economic status, were sitting on the ground / dusty carpet inside the pandal. It is not that there was a special air-conditioned lounge arranged for wealthy people. Never was it like that. Rather all sat on equal seats before Beloved Baba.

Baba story: dealing with one politician

When one very important political leader, Guljarilal Nanda', came to see Baba, he wanted desperately to have personal contact. However Baba did not allow him. That time that political leader was holding a very important ministerial post in the Central Gov't of India. In an attempt to get PC this politician followed Baba from Delhi to Bombay airport, but Baba refused to give him the time of day-- means he did not get the chance to talk to Baba even. Because Baba maintains only the strictest standards on dharma based on proper conduct.

Baba story: dealing with one capitalist

One time, in the 1960's when Ananda Marga was in need of money for schools, jagrtis and service projects, one wealthy capitalist named Hanuman Prasad Poddar who owned the famous Giita Press in Gorakhpur came to see Baba.

At the time Baba was in Bettiah and Hanuman Prasad arrived there and insisted that he should be initiated by Baba, not by any Wt or family acarya. The margiis and Wts were reluctant but ultimately agreed since they felt they would need to get money from this wealthy man to support our schools etc.

So they brought Hanuman Prasad to Baba's door and he was allowed to enter. Hanuman Prasad approached Baba with a large bag of money in his hand which he promptly offered to Baba. Baba immediately called His PA and ordered PA Dada to take the bag of money over to the window, and drop the entire bag of money outside.

Seeing this Hanuman Prasad ran out of the room to go get the money. Immediately, Baba ordered PA Dada to go over to the door and lock it. And Hanuman Prasad was never allowed inside again. Baba then scolded all the margiis and warned them to never compromise and be purchased by any wrongdoer ever again.

Some review

So this is the way Baba deals with people-- according to their mental feeling. In other organizations money often plays a significant role. But His relation with each and every margii is totally based on bhakti, and bhakti alone. And that bhakti is related with conduct. Without proper conduct, bhakti is not possible.

Namaskar,
In Him
Bhaktiyogii

Plagiary?

It is the accepted international standard and Baba's system not to copy another's work and publish it in your own way. Baba has given a very strict rule on plagiarism. Why is Baba against plagiarism or stealing someone's work? There are many reasons:

1) It is against the code of asteya (non-stealing).

2) Countless stories of bhaktas need to be published. But some do not want to do the hard work of compiling and writing these stories, so they just steal them from others. But new stories need to be told, otherwise so many unpublished stories of sadhakas will be lost and forgotten forever. So watch out for story thieves, and kindly help them not to steal by posting on social media in their own way. If you want to forward this story then attach the following yellow section with the story:

“Courtesy of unknown bhakta via Ananda Marga Universal (https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/)”

This will be treated as the standard protocol.

His endless kindness

"Ba'nshii ba'jye gele…” (Prabhat Samgiita #4126)

Purport:

By His infinite and fathomless grace, Parama Purusa has secretly come and played the flute in my mind. And now, by His mercy, I am crying in longing for Him. It is very hard for me to remain even a little bit away from Him. Even now the resonance of His flute is pulling my heart. By His endless kindness, I can hear His divine flute very clearly. My dearmost Baba, You are that Parama Purusa.

Baba, I do not know from which heavenly world the sweet and charming resonance of the flute is reaching to my ears. But this much I can say: It is blissfully pulling my whole existence towards Your Divine Self. By Your krpa, my mind has lost the feeling of gain and loss. This shady garden alcove with sides and a roof formed by trees or climbing plants trained over a wooden framework in the garden is aware of my mental feeling. Everything is just Your bliss.

Ajana Pathik, my Dearmost, You are calling me with Your divine flute from such a distance. From there please accept my sastaunga pranam. By Your sweet will, I am surrendering everything at Your altar. Baba, on the one side You are making me float in my tears, and on the other side You go on playing Your rasa liila. Why do You do all this. Indeed there is no answer. The Parama Purusa is playing His exquisite flute and attracting me with its divine resonance in this vrindavan of divine radiance...

Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #4126:

[1] Ajana Pathik: The term Aja'na' Pathik means 'The Divine Entity Parama Purusa Who moves around this entire universe, and resides everywhere and knows everything; irrespective of where one goes, He remains along with you'. That is one of His many unique attributions and that is the speciality of the name 'Ajana Pathik'. The name 'Ajana Pathik' denotes this special quality.

Literally, Aja'na' means 'unknown' and Pathik means 'traveler' or ‘tourist.’ But this is just the word by word, literal translation; and proper nouns are not meant to be translated. So we cannot call Him the ‘Unknown Traveler’ or ‘Unknown Tourist', or Unknown Vacationer', or 'Unknown Backpacker', or 'Unknown Visitor', or 'Unknown Globetrotter', or 'Unknown Daytripper', or 'Unknown Hitchhiker.’ The spirit and meaning is then lost.

The inner sense of the name Ajana Pathik is that Parama Purusa is always moving throughout this vast cosmos and He is constantly present with everyone, all the time. He is in the Cosmic Nucleus yet at the same time through His ota and prota yoga He is everywhere - carefully watching & lovingly guiding everyone. This unique aspect of His grand Personality is treated as Aja'na' Pathik. Because He is constantly traveling yet present everywhere. He is in the nucleus as well as throughout this entire universe.

As the Ajana Pathik, Parama Purusa Baba moves and moves and moves. In their spiritual approach bhaktas feel that wherever they go the Aja'na' Pathik will always be there to shower His blessing. By His grace, bhaktas can always get His intimate company and companionship. With this mystical link, sadhakas understand that Parama Purusa is present everywhere, yet side by side He travels on and on throughout this entire cosmos. Thus He is Aja'na' Pathik.

Overall the name Aja'na' Pathik has one special and unique meaning that goes far beyond its literal translation. And in our hearts we A'nanda Ma'rgiis know and feel that Baba is that Aja'na' Pathik. Indeed in His discourses, in Dharma Samiiksa, and in reporting, in DMC, and in numerous ways Baba has shown this very fact that He is ever-present and always along with us. He is always moving and wherever we go then He will also be there. Parama Purusa has infinite attributions and one of them is this special quality where He always remains along with us wherever we are in this vast universe. In this way He is known as - Aja'na' Pathik. In true sense, as the omnipresent Entity, He does not go anywhere because He is everywhere; but in a more literal manner He goes from place to place.

Those who use ‘Unknown Traveler’ or ‘Unknown Tourist’ in place of Aja'na' Pathik are naive and ignorant.

[2] Sas't'aunga pranam: Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Prostration is called sas't'aunga pranama...Of the five sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin), one, the skin, can be omitted, and of the five motor organs (vocal chord, hands, legs, excretory and genital organ), one, the vocal chord can be omitted. This leaves the eight constituent parts. And the prostration made with these eight body-parts is called sas't'aunga pranama." (Ananda Marga Philosophy - 6, Ekendriya – 5)

Here following is the etymological meaning of the term sas't'aunga.

sa    +   as't'a  +  unga = sas't'aunga
(with)    (eight)    (parts)  = with eight parts

Thus, as Baba tells us in the above quote, "the prostration made with these eight body-parts is called sas't'aunga pranama."

As we all know, sas't'aunga pranam is only done to Guru, not to anyone else.

Which languages are good

Prout philosophy guides us, “In the past undeveloped persons used to express their thoughts through gestures and postures. A time will come when there will be no language. With the advancement of science human beings may again adopt new types of postures and gestures, and they may think of using the energy saved by minimizing the use of spoken language for higher pursuits.”

“Intelligent people will evolve a common world language and will not be guided by false, narrow sentiments. Like all other mundane property, languages are the common property of the Cosmic Father. We should love all these languages, hate none, and adopt one of these languages as the world language. As all languages are our common property, we should not oppose the existence of other languages. We should not brand any language as foreign or national.”

Prout philosophy says, “In the present system the English language deserves to be the world language because it is scientific and widely spoken. It would be a great folly for any government to deny this fact. With the change of time future generations may select any other language as the world language. Thus we should adopt a common lingua franca for the mutual exchange of ideas. For this purpose English may be accepted as the world lingua franca for some time more. We should however feel that all the languages of the world are our own languages. No language should be treated as indigenous, foreign or national, and nobody should treat the world language as a foreign language and discourage its propagation.” (1)
