About skin colour
Namaskar,
The closer one lives to the equator the darker their skin is and the further one lives from the equator the lighter their skin is. It is all due to a body chemical / pigment known as melanin in order to protect the body. This is a vital issue around the globe these days.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "As human beings were not able to unravel the mystery of this diversity, they wrongly preached the doctrine of racial supremacy, resulting in hatred of their fellow human beings and heartless cruelty, and indulged in savagery and bloody warfare - these were the darkest and the most lamented chapters in human history.” (1)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, “Sometimes people are wrongly led to believe that the white people are perhaps superior to the black population, and that the blacks are only a little higher than our animal ancestors on the scale of evolution." (2)
Racial supremacy is psychic disease
Legally speaking, racial supremacy is no longer an issue in most every country. There are other types of discrimination based on gender and religion that are legally supported - but not racism. There are laws and legislation ensuring racial equality. So on the theoretical plane, in most areas, racism has been eliminated. Segregation along racial lines was declared unconstitutional in the US in 1964. But, in practice, it is rampant; it is almost everywhere. In some areas the majority of people harbour racial hatred etc, and in other regions a minority of the population have feelings of racial superiority or inferiority.

50 years ago in the US, scientists tried hard to prove that black people were subhuman and close to monkeys. A huge amount of research was done in an attempt to prove this. This theory was very popular. Whites ruled all around the world and injected an inferiority complex race wherever they went. And still that resonates amongst the global population. It is visible nearly everywhere.
Cause of white or black skin
Here below, Baba provides the rational explanation for why people have light skin or dark skin.
Ananda Marga philosophy says, “The greater the heat of the sun, the greater the amount of ultraviolet rays in the sunlight. A study of geography tells us why there are differences in the degree of heat of the sun's rays. Where the sun's rays fall on earth obliquely, there is less heat of the sun, and where the sun's rays fall straight on the earth, the heat is greater. In very hot countries white-skinned people find it very hard to live, because their skin, having less of the chemical substance called melanin, is unable to stand much heat. Body skin with a great quantity of melanin in it turns jet black, and obviously a lesser quantity of melanin makes one's skin white.”
“If ever white people are forced for some reason to live long in a hot climate, their colour turns brown. In 1939-40, when British soldiers came to India for war purposes, their colour became brown due to the great heat. Naturally, as the skin of these soldiers had to adjust with the hot climate of India, there were some necessary changes in their skin to effect acclimatisation.”
“In hot countries the irises of people's eyes are generally black, because more melanin is required to protect the eyeball from the scorching rays of the sun.” (3)
Inferiority complex: wants to change to white skin
Throughout SE Asia, India, Africa, South America, Central America, and in so many lands there is a strong demand to become white. People are applying harsh chemicals to their skin to make themselves look white. Such a pervasive trend is that proof of the extent that people have an inferiority complex about the colour of their own skin. In the mind it is very deep-rooted, and widespread from one community to the next. In Europe there are numerous groups and parties that promote a racial agenda.

Conclusion
All should know that the white and black issue has no basis in the psychic and spiritual fields. It is purely a physical phenomenon related with one’s body chemistry. The closer one lives to the equator the darker their skin is, and the further one lives from the equator the lighter their skin is. It is all due to a body chemical / pigment known as melanin in order to protect the body from the sun.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Although according to perfect logic the culture of all humanity is one and indivisible, the exponents of isms do not understand this. They prefer to assert that the different sets of script and language, behaviour and habit, and local variations in expression, are actually the constituents of human culture.” (4)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Members of a particular race who consider themselves superior to others also very frequently inflict injustices on other sections of society. The expulsion (see note *) of the Jews from Germany by Hitler’s so-called superior Aryan race is a glaring example of racial injustice in society. In this country, also, injustices on Harijans by the so-called superior races have caused a tremendous amount of disruption in society. To obviate this type of social injustice, the first attempt should be to do away with racial distinctions in society. In Ananda Marga the first step that one takes is to forget one’s race or sect – to no longer identify oneself with one’s race, caste or sect.” (5)
(*) “Between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews across German-occupied Europe, around two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population.” (Wikipedia)
All belong to the race of the human race
Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, ”In social functions based on racial considerations, racial prejudices figure very prominently. In our collective functions, members of all races, castes or creeds take part as equals. The caste, race or nation is often the main consideration in arranging marriages. In our Márga, there is no such consideration. These petty differences between human beings are not given any importance. Humanity as a whole is considered as one family belonging to the race of human race. In such a society, injustice due either to economic background, sex or racial considerations will be unknown.” (6)

I am awake to receive You
“Álo jhalamala nabhah nirmal, ándhár giyeche sare…” (Prabhat Samgiita #4582)
Purport:
Baba, my mental sky is clean; all the darkness has vanished. In the past, for numerous reasons, my home was dirty. Now, by Your grace, it is pure. This is the opportune moment: please come to my home, my Dearmost, come in my abode.
Supreme Entity, I wanted to have You. I have forgotten the stain of all those past happenings that took place over ages and ages. After shaking off all lethargy and drowsiness, with samvit I am awake to receive and have You. I have retained and saved all my flood of tears and kept them for when I get You. Then with my full heart’s content of having You, I will cry out of love and affection at Your lotus feet - my Dearmost, who is living in such a far distant abode.
Baba, because I am following the path of sadhana and bhagavad dharma very strictly by Your grace, people pass judgement and say all kinds of negative remarks about me. But I do not pay heed to their words. In my life You are, and I am treading on that very path which You have shown me. I shall never forget the suffering humanity. By Your mercy, I understand that You have sent me on this earth to remove their suffering, and be deeply involved in doing the work which You told me to do. I am for You and want to satisfy You by following Your order and carrying out Your allotted duties...

Female exploitation
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Purdah” means not only a curtain on the window or over the door, it means a piece of cloth covering the head and face of a woman (i.e., a veil); it means that a woman must not move freely outside the house; it also means keeping the women covered in burkas. The purdah was not in use among the ancient Aryans. It was originally a Semitic concept. Indian women did not use the purdah before the Pathan rule. The Sanskrit word avaguńt́hana [“veil”] is not an ancient word. (The Hindustani word ghunghat́ [“veil”] was used in the olden days in the sense of covering.) In those parts of India where the Pathans were not firmly established, for instance in south India and Maharastra, the veil was not introduced at all; to this day there is no such custom. Married women in ancient Maharastra never used to veil themselves – it was optional. Widows did not need to use a veil if they chose not to. Even where the Pathans were firmly established, the aborigines living in the hills and forests did not use the purdah. Today as well there is no custom of veiling oneself among the tribal women of Bengal and north India. Although the Santhals of Bengal are now totally identified with the Bengali mainstream, Santhal women do not use veils to this day.” (1)

Who are true whistleblowers
Those who fight against injustice should have this quality:
Yadi tor dák shuńe keu ná áse;
Tave eklá cala re...
[If none to my call pays heed, Then alone must I proceed.]
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Keeping this refrain in mind, they [writers] must continue in their relentless effort to fight against the seemingly indomitable might of hundreds and thousands of obstacles which are deeply rooted in age-old superstitions that are firmly entrenched in petty selfishness. Their pens may break into pieces, their brushes may be compelled to draw only lines of water on the canvas, and their histrionic flows may end in mute protests, yet their efforts must continue unceasingly. Each of their petty defeats shall be strung together as pearls in the garland of victory." (1)

Bananas: wide array of applications
Ananda Marga Ideal Farming states, "Banana trees are known more for their fruits than for their fibre. Both the fruit and the flower can be eaten, and when the tree is young the inner trunk can be taken as a vegetable as well. The leaves are used for plates or for wrapping food. Sodium carbonate may be obtained from the banana tree by burning the trunk into ash, and sodium bicarbonate may be obtained by boiling the ash until the water evaporates. There are numerous products which can be made from the banana tree. The fibre is obtained from the trunk of the tree. The greater the size of a tree, the greater the quantity of fibre, but the same rule does not necessarily apply for the quantity of fruit produced by the banana tree. Not more than two offshoot saplings should be allowed to grow from one banana tree. The extra shoots should be cut. There are many varieties of banana." (1)
