Conspiracy behind Prabhat Samgiita

Conspiracy behind Prabhat Samgiita

Namaskar,

#1: One margii of Tatanagar is spreading false news about Prabhat Samgiita. He is telling that Prabhat Samgiita compositions should be translated / converted into poems in various languages and that those translated poems should be sung.

How Baba Scolded dada Cidghanananda on this same issue

#2: In the 1980s, Dada Cidghanananda began translating and converting Baba’s PS lyrics into a Hindi poem. But this was outrightly rejected by Sadguru Baba. Indeed, Cidghanananda got a big scolding from Baba about this.

#3: So Baba gave the instruction that all had to sing Prabhat Samgiita using the original language of any given PS composition by Baba. For example, if a song was composed in Bengali, Hindi, or Urdu etc by Baba then it should be sung in that original language. Similarly, if a song was composed by Baba in English then it should be sung in English. Baba forbids people to convert Prabhat Samgiita, i.e. translating and converting them into poems in various languages and then singing those poems.

#4: The proof is that at the DMC 1982 Sadguru Baba implemented the rule that everyone should sing the PS composition in the original language in which He composed it, otherwise they were kicked out from DMC. Everyone had to sing accordingly, and this practice was imposed by Baba and implemented in all AM programs everywhere. On this point, there was no compromise.

Conclusion

#5: Sadguru Baba’s Prabhat Samgiita compositions should not be translated into poems and sung in other languages. Baba’s clear guideline and directive from His DMC is that all should sing each Prabhat Samgiita composition in the languages in which Baba wrote it.

In Him,
Gopii

Note: Baba coerced everyone to sing

During the occasion of DMC, at the evening General Darshan on 30 Dec 1982 in Ananda Nagar, Sadguru Baba sternly scolded all those who were not singing Prabhat Samgiita. He accused them of being mutes and rebuked them for passively watching as if they were members of the audience at some theatrical performance. Verily, He directly challenged their level of engagement and publicly questioned why they were not singing. He then clearly instructed those very margiis, who had assembled from around the globe, that they must sing Prabhat Samgiita. In that moment, a Prabhat Samgiita composition in Bengali was being sung, and margiis - regardless of their linguistic background - had to join in and sing along in Bangla.

Here is that scene as published in Ananda Vacanamrtam - 46 (Pure) chapter 5:

[प्रभात संगीत #१४१ “से जे आकाशे सागरे, वने कान्तारे, लताय पाताय लुकाये रय” गाया जा रहा है । /
Prabháta Samgiita #141 “Se je ákáshe ságare, vane kántáre, latáy pátáy lukáye ray” is being sung. /
[Bábá:] “As if they are mutes?”([1])([2])
[Bábá:] Is it a theatrical performance that you have come to witness?
[Bábá:] Why don’t you sing?(५)

It stands on its own merit as a point of interest and ideological awareness.

Carried to the funeral pyre

Ananda Marga ideology says, “Suppose in one’s garden there is a big rose; obviously the owner of the garden will boast to other people about the size of the rose. Perhaps the flower was as big as a fig, but the owner will describe it as huge...”

“[But one should remember that] Human beings are made of flesh and bones. If their heart or lungs stop functioning, then they will have no other option but to be carried upon the shoulders of 4 other persons and placed onto the funeral pyre. When this is the situation of human beings, where is the scope for self-glorification?” (1)
