After every DMC, Sadguru Baba would graciously shower His divine blessing by chanting this following shloka: Sarve bhadráńi pashyantu na kashcid duhkhamápnuyát.Oṋḿ shántih oṋḿ shántih oṋḿ shantih.
The meaning is: “Let everybody be happy; let everybody be free from all physical or psychic ailments; let everybody see the bright side of everything…”
Baba’s guideline is that we should “see the bright side of everything”, and give credence to constructive criticism. That means when parents notice that their child is not studying properly in school then those parents give constructive criticism and point out their child’s weakness in order to help the child become a better student. So the parents constructively criticise their child’s study habits. Those who do not understand the situation will just think that the parents are needlessly scolding and mudslinging the child. But actually the parents are seeing they bright side as they are helping their child improve.
And verily in Baba’s unique teaching, He guides us that “seeing the bright side” means correcting all kinds of social ills and individual faults through the process of constructive criticism. By this helpful method, people are able to progress.
Baba presents this aspect of His discourse by differentiating between the bright side and dark side. Generally, people have a combination of good and bad attributes.
Ananda Marga ideology says, “You know for each and every expression, or each and every entity, each and every human mind, each and every human body, each and every material or abstract entity in this world, there are two sides, [the] bright side and [the] dark side. A man, suppose he has got so many qualifications. But he is a miserly fellow---the dark side---he doesn’t want to spend. One dark side and there are so many good qualifications. Now a man takes the form or takes the shape, of his object of ideation. If his goal is lofty, then he will become lofty. If the goal is, say, humiliating, his nature will also be like that.” (1)
And Baba’s discourse continues...
In His above guideline, Baba equates “seeing the bright side” with constructive criticism. That means if anyone points out the problem in order to make the situation better, then they are “seeing the bright side.”
For instance, if Wt contravenes the code of conduct and indulges in negative things, then if anyone points out the problem with the aim of raising the standard of that Wt worker, then that person is “seeing the bright side.” Unfortunately, all too often some are confused about this. So one must be able to recognise that when the pointing out is done in a constructive manner. Because then it is a positive approach. Then they are “seeing the bright side.”
It is just like if your 12-year-old child starts smoking cigarettes, then naturally you as the parent will point out your child for their wrongdoing. You will make that type of constructive criticism. But some ignorant people who cannot understand the situation will think that you are needlessly reprimanding the child and just engaging in mudslinging. But the reality is that you as the parent are “seeing the bright side” and engaging in constructive criticism: You want to see your child grow in a vibrant, healthy way. That is why you are pointing out the child and giving constructive criticism about their harmful habit of smoking cigarettes.
By all this, we can easily understand that constructive criticism is part of the process of "seeing the bright side." That's why bhaktas oppose all sorts of injustices and engage in constructive criticism to unmask the hypocrisy of certain wrongdoers holding the top posts. But cowards do not do this.
Namaskar,
in Him,

Where to use this

What is constructive criticism
Ananda Marga ideology says,
“Sulocana” means the man who only sees the
bright side of everything, only the positive qualities, only the
good side, and not the bad side. Such a person never supports
any sort of destructive criticism, rather always constructive
criticism. The person who always sees the good side of
everything, is “Sulocana” in [the] masculine;
in [the] feminine it will be “Sulocaná”. One "a" is to be
suffixed to the word.” (2)

Mudslinging and constructive criticism: some
are confused
