Baba’s joke about communism + 4 more

Baba
Baba’s joke about communism

Namaskar,

Baba advised some LFTs that it is very important to interweave philosophical teachings with jokes. Baba explained that if you just preach one philosophical point after another, the people will get bored. So the way to be successful in gathering a crowd for a street corner meeting is to make people laugh. Here we learn from Sadguru Baba why laughter is an important element when giving a talk or making a presentation to the public.

Baba began, "Everybody knows the communist leaders have some favourite slogans, ‘Those who work in the factory are the owners of the factory, and those who plow the field are the owners of the land’."
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Reply of ridiculous slogan of communist

After all, if the worker in the factory is the owner of the factory and the farmer who wields the plow is the owner of the land, then the masseuse who gives the massage is the owner of the body, and the chef who prepares the food is the owner of the meal, the street-sweeper who cleans the street is the owner of the road, the doctor who operates on the patient is the owner of the patient, the plumbers and electricians who do work on the house are the owners of the house, and the dentist who checks and treats a patient's teeth is the owner of the mouth, and a mechanic who repairs a car or bike is that owner of that car or bike.

Baba is pointing out the ridiculous and hypocritical ways of communism: Working in a factory does not make one the factory owner, and plowing the field does not transfer ownership to the farmer. No right-thinking person can think like this. The overall idea is that Baba is teaching us that when giving a lecture then we should employ humour that will be easily understood by the local people.

Here it should be understood that the above slogans, which are used by communists to rouse the sentiment of the people, are actually diametrically opposite of the philosophy expressed in the Communist Manifesto which states that all the land belongs to the state. The communists use the slogan - "Those who wield the plough are the owners of the land" - in countries where the government is not communist and they want to gain the sympathy of the people; and when in a fully controlled communist country then they resort to the latter slogan of the Communist Manifesto which states that all land belongs to the state. This is their deceptive, devious, and hypocritical manner.

Real owner

According to Prout, Parama Purusa is the ultimate Owner of everything because He created this entire universe and all are His progeny. So everyone has the God-given right to enjoy this created world and utilise it in the proper manner. All should have access to the minimum requirement for their personal care and survival. That degree of ownership all should have. Plus those with special talents and merits may get more - but only after all have minimum needs met. The gross over-accumulation and seemingly unlimited collection of wealth and property is not condoned by Prout. Thus Prout is radically different from capitalism. The unbarred over-accumulation of physical pabula while other starve is unacceptable in the Proutistic model.

Conclusion: Why humour is essential in classes & meetings

The central idea of this entire letter is that it is very important to interweave philosophical teachings with jokes. Sadguru Baba explained that if you just preach one philosophical point after another, the people will get bored. So the way to be successful in leading any class or talk is to make people laugh through stories, jokes, humour, and engaging tales. By that way the slumber and inertia of the audience will dissipate and they will feel refreshed to listen attentively to your thoughts.

Namaskar,
at His lotus feet,
Prabha’

About that unforgettable LFT reporting session with Baba

In 1988, in one of Baba's regularly held LFT reporting sessions He focused on how to conduct street corner meetings. Then, in His magnificent and charming manner, Baba presented one joke that those LFTs of  samaj & Prout could use for their street corner meetings. With a grand smile, Baba told: "If the worker in the factory is the owner of the factory, and if the farmer who wields the plough is the owner of the land, then the barber who wields the scissors is the owner of the head."
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

So in that unforgettable LFT reporting session Baba, in His divine and unique manner, made the above humorous remark. Hearing Baba's dramatic delivery and colourful analogy, everyone present immediately erupted into laughter. The room was full of people giggling. Here again is Baba's marvelous joke: "If the worker in the factory is the owner of the factory, and if the farmer who wields the plow is the owner of the land, then the barber who wields the scissors is the owner of the head."

It is ludicrous to think that the barber owns the person's head whose hair he (the barber) is cutting. So that is the humorous joke Baba told to those LFTs doing pracara in a few of the areas riddled by communism.

Entire wealth of the universe is the common patrimony

Prout philosophy states, “None of the movable or immovable property of this universe belongs to any particular individual; everything is the common patrimony of all, and the Father of all is Brahma. All living beings can enjoy their rightful share of this property, like members of a joint family in the Dáyabhága system. As members of a joint family, human beings should safeguard this common property in a befitting manner and utilize it properly. They should also make proper arrangements so that everyone can enjoy it with equal rights, ensuring that all have the minimum requirements of life to enable them to live in a healthy body with a sound mind.” (1)

Prout philosophy states, “We must not forget, even for a single moment, that the entire animate world is a vast joint family. Nature has not assigned any portion of this property to any particular individual. Private ownership has been created by selfish opportunists, as the loopholes in this system provide them with ample scope for self-aggrandizement through exploitation. When the entire wealth of the universe is the common patrimony of all living beings, can the system in which some roll in luxury, while others, deprived of a morsel of food, shrivel up and starve to death bit by bit, be said to have the support of dharma?” (2)

They suck dry the vital juice of others

Prout philosophy states, “In a joint family every member is provided with adequate food, clothing, education and medical treatment, and amenities, as per their individual needs, according to the financial capacity of the entire family. If, however, any member of the family appropriates more grains, clothes, books or medicines than he or she requires, will that person not be the cause of distress to other members of the family? In such circumstances his or her actions will be certainly against dharma – certainly antisocial. Similarly, the capitalists of this modern world are anti-dharma, or antisocial, creatures. To accumulate massive wealth, they reduce others to skin and bones gnawed by hunger and force them to die of starvation; to dazzle people with the glamour of their garments, they compel others to wear rags; and to increase their own vital strength, they suck dry the vital juice of others.” (3)

Prout philosophy states, “A member of a joint family cannot be called a social being if he or she does not possess the sentiment of oneness with the other members, or if he or she does not want to accept the lofty ideal of joint rights and the principle of rationality. According to true spiritual ideology the system of private ownership cannot be accepted as absolute and final, and hence capitalism cannot be supported either.” (4)

Are you the owner or who is the owner?

According to Prout, Parama Purusa is the ultimate Owner of everything because He created this entire universe and all are His progeny. So everyone has the God-given right to enjoy this created world and utilise it in the proper manner. All should have access to the minimum requirement for their personal care and survival. That degree of ownership all should have. Plus those with special talents and merits may get more - but only after all have minimum needs met. The gross over-accumulation and seemingly unlimited collection of wealth and property is not condoned by Prout. Thus Prout is radically different from capitalism. The unbarred over-accumulation of physical pabula while other starve is unacceptable in the Proutistic model.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy states, “Parama Puruśa [Supreme Consciousness] is my Father, Paramá Prakrti [Supreme Operative Principle] is my Mother, and the universe is my homeland. We are all citizens of this universe. The universe is the thought projection of the Macrocosmic Mind, and it is in the extroversial and introversial phases of the Cosmic imaginative flow that the creation, preservation and destruction of all entities continues. When an individual imagines an object, then that person alone, and no one else, is the owner of the object. For example, when an imaginary human being roams about in an imaginary green field, the imaginer, and not the imaginary person, is the owner of the field. The universe is the thought projection of Brahma [the Supreme Entity], so the ownership of the universe lies with the Supreme Entity, and not with His imagined beings.” (5)

Plagiary?

It is the accepted international standard and Baba's system not to copy another's work and publish it in your own way. Baba has given a very strict rule on plagiarism. Why is Baba against plagiarism or stealing someone's work? There are many reasons:

1) It is against the code of asteya (non-stealing).

2) Countless stories of bhaktas need to be published. But some do not want to do the hard work of compiling and writing these stories, so they just steal them from others. But new stories need to be told, otherwise so many unpublished stories of sadhakas will be lost and forgotten forever. So watch out for story thieves, and kindly help them not to steal by posting on social media in their own way. If you want to forward this story then attach the following yellow section with the story:

“Courtesy of unknown bhakta via Ananda Marga Universal (https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/)”

This will be treated as the standard protocol.

Example of weak mind

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Let me give another example of what happens when one loses control over the nerve fibres. Some people are so crazy about football that they dream of the game while sleeping. What is a dream? When we think during the wakeful state our conscious mind operates and we understand that we are thinking inwardly. But when we think during the state of sleep, the conscious mind does not work and we wrongly think the objects thought of are real. So a football fan who dreams about the game while sleeping may shout, “Gooaal! Gooaal!” and start kicking left and right with his legs. Clearly, his nerve cells have lost control of the nerve fibres.” (1)

Before sadhana

Here is the English summary of Baba’s Hindi teaching of Átmatiirtha, V24 25(H), 22 Nov 71 Purnea, Bihar.

After involving in mundane works one is generally plunged in worldly thoughts. So then if one sits in sadhana, in the mind you will think that 'Tomorrow I will go to Arariya town. Indeed I have to go in the morning. I will have to catch the first bus'. You will sit in sadhana and go on thinking like this. In this situation what should you do? Before sitting for sadhana you should do kiirtan-- either 2 min, or 5 min, or 10 min. So first one should do kiirtan. Because by doing kiirtan the mind will get elevated. After that immediately one should sit in sadhana. Then you will see that there will not be any worldly thoughts. Then sadhana will be proper...Do not worry; you have learned sadhana and I am always ready to help and serve you. (English Summary, V24 25(H), 22 Nov 71)

Note: Every sincere Ananda Margii wants to do sadhana. Yet most of the time this aforesaid problem occurs. And our Guru understands this. That is why He has graciously given such a beautiful solution-- as mentioned above. I think many may be following His divine guideline; and for those who are not, they should do so from now onwards, i.e. sing kiirtan before doing sadhana.

Alert: TP’s gross flaws in YT book

Here is the way Tiljala Publication has published the below paragraph in the Yogic Treatments book. Pay special attention to the yellow highlighted terms.

Tiljala Publications wrote: "Taking excessive fatty and oily food and not undertaking a proportional amount of physical labour loads the human nervous system down with fat, and as a result it becomes impossible for the nerves to properly assist the heart. As a result the heart becomes weak. Fat accumulated in the nerves and blood vessels terribly hampers the blood circulation, and in order to maintain the circulation, the heart is forced to overwork. As a consequence the heart soon becomes weak." (1)

By reading the above, it is clear that the yellow highlighted terms in the above passage are incorrect.

Corrected version

Here below are the suggested changes in bracketed bold red font to correct the blunders by Tiljala Publications.

"Taking excessive fatty and oily food and not undertaking a proportional amount of physical labour loads the human nervous system [circulatory system] down with fat, and as a result it becomes impossible for the nerves [arteries] to properly assist the heart. As a result the heart becomes weak. Fat accumulated in the nerves [arteries] and blood vessels terribly hampers the blood circulation, and in order to maintain the circulation, the heart is forced to overwork. As a consequence the heart soon becomes weak." (2)

Note: Any person, young or old, who has taken even the most basic level class in biology or human anatomy will easily realize that the way the Tiljala Publications presented this section is completely wrong. Sadguru Baba is the all-knowing Taraka Brahma, and it is our duty to ensure that His books are published with the highest accuracy and utmost integrity. Sadly, time and time again, Tiljala Publications proves that their work is flawed and clearly not up to the mark.

About protozoic & metazoic mind

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The protozoic minds are guided by instinct only. The protozoic mind is citta only, with no development of ahaḿ[tattva] or mahattattva. Ingesting food, supporting offspring – this is all done instinctively, according to their svabháva [spontaneously], the reasons being quite unknown to those creatures. The earthworm does not know that it is an earthworm. It moves instinctively, spontaneously, according to its undeveloped mind. The protozoic minds and the protozoic microcosm can be said to be the physical mind. A protozoic creature has only physical mind. The collection of protozoic minds in the human can be said to be the physical mind of the human, known as the [kámamaya kośa]. It is guided by instinct, there is no discrimination.”
“But the metazoic mind moves with some intellect, or discrimination, as there has been some development of intellect in it. Hence the metazoic mind has control over the protozoic mind. The more the metazoic mind is developed in a creature, the more developed the creature is; that is, a metazoic structure will be more complicated. And where this complication has increased considerably, that physical structure is the human physical structure.” (1)

Note: Living cells act according to instinct because of their protozoic mind. There are many organs in the human body such as the kidneys and the liver. These organs have have a more developed mind, i.e. metazoic mind. So long as the kidneys and liver are in a greater structure like an animal or a human they will do their job. That is why doctors are able to perform kidney and liver transplants from one human body to another. So metazoic mind controls protozoic mind. And, in the human structure, both protozoic and metazoic mind comes under the domain of the unit human mind.

Which gold are sadhakas interested in

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Take the case of the precious metal gold. Whenever you say “gold” you refer to gold in general, the gold of the universe. To be of some practical use, the gold will have to be brought within the limitation of a certain form, such as a gold necklace, a gold bangle, or gold tiara. Women may get a certain pleasure by wearing these gold ornaments, but for the goldsmith has no practical use for them as ornaments. He is only concerned about one thing – gold. Likewise, due to the influence of the static principle, an infinite number of names and forms have emerged out of Parama Puruśa, the Singular Entity. Most people enjoy using these finite names and forms, but to practical spiritual aspirants they have no special importance. Sádhakas are only interested in the original substance and not its finite forms. Thus, their only object of ideation is Parama Puruśa. They only accept Parama Puruśa, the Singular Entity, as the goal of their lives, just as the goldsmith is only interested in the gold and not its different forms.”
“How can one shake off the influence of static inertness? How can one get freedom from the bondages of names and forms? Just as the goldsmith uses a hammer and process of melting (in fire) to extract the real gold from the various ornaments, similarly a practical spiritual aspirant will have to break the bondages of names and forms in this expressed world through the cultivation of knowledge (which is mutative), devotion (which is sentient). By virtue of the heat of the fire of sádhaná and the strength derived from sustained intuitional practice, a sádhaka can overcome the static inertness, the apparent cause behind the quinquelemental universe. Life and the world will become effulgent with the resultant unfoldment of latent consciousness.” (1)

Prout & today's political landscape + 2 more

Baba

Prout & today's political landscape

Namaskar,

Now that the wealth disparity has become completely untenable where a mere handful of persons control most of the money and property, the cracks of capitalism have come to the fore, and some have taken a sympathetic turn towards the leftists. Terms like “democratic socialists” have captured the imagination of idealistic youths. But everyone should approach this new landscape with their eyes wide open. Although capitalism has fallen from its crest, as Ananda Margiis we should be cent-per-cent clear about the ills, demerits, and pitfalls of the leftist movement, i.e. those socialist flagbearers.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Alert: watch out for leftists

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Those who are leftists in the world are even more dangerous...they are deliberately seeking out the dark and dirty aspects of life and, like flies, growing fat on the secretions of society's festering sores. It must be remembered that flies do not heal sores-- rather they exacerbate them, because the very pus of these sores provides them with their vital juice. So the filthy aspects of society are the only wealth on which these [leftists] subsist." (1)

Here it should be understood that artists come in all shapes and forms. Essentially, anyone who applies themselves to a particular field is an artist in that arena of life, including politics. Some artists promote universal welfare, and some do for selfish, malevolent purposes. Those politicians, regardless of their party affiliation or the name of their political party, who use their artistry to manipulate and befool the common people are negative artists; indeed, by their action, they are leftists. They talk ill of others for their own personal gain, and never try to solve the problem or lead humanity in the proper direction. In contrast, Baba’s dharmic guideline is to point out the problem and give the solution. By just criticizing and never resolving any issue, they are just like flies festering on society’s wounds. Their advertisements blast the other party solely to confuse and swindle voters. This negative approach is rampant amongst today’s politicians, regardless of their party affiliation or the name of their political party. Baba takes an uncompromising stand against such people.

They only criticize - have no true plan

Moreover, it is commonly known that leftists do not have any constructive ideal. They have only one single item of agenda: abuse capitalists. But we have seen that this type of abuse does not produce results because, by this abuse, capitalists become more alert about their mode of exploitation. And, ultimately, capitalist exploiters invent new techniques to cheat and exploit the general mass.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy states: "Those who lack a constructive ideal help the capitalists in their exploitation. Only criticizing capitalism will not do any service to the people, rather it will help the anti-social elements in finding out or inventing more tactics for exploitation." (2)

Here is another way of thinking about this same situation and the defective tactics of leftists. In the political map of the whole globe, wherever capitalism has spread its noose, they employ one special technique. Capitalists influence the prevailing government and capture the political power indirectly. And their rapacious exploitation continues in new and newer form. So, by only criticizing capitalists, the leftists do not produce any yield because these leftist people do not have any practical solution for how to eradicate capitalism and / or implement anything better. Just their sole method is to abuse capitalists, but such abuse is worthless without a constructive plan. Their sole method is to abuse capitalists and capture power.

Prout philosophy further states: "The leftist groups are engaged in criticizing the capitalists, which is bearing no fruitful results, and capitalists have captured power by influencing the ruling party." (3)

Why Proutists must not align with leftists

Hence, there is no sense for Proutists to join hands with such leftists and accept their strategy and propaganda because their whole approach is contrary to ours. For example, these leftist / socialists do not have any proper ideal; whereas we Proutists have an ideal. Moreover, they are materialists, and we are not. These leftists are fighting with capitalists, whereas Prout fights capitalism. So the stand of Prout and that of the leftists are diametrically opposite, i.e. vastly different.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy says, "Ours should be a constructive ideal and we should wage a ceaseless and pactless struggle against all anti-human and anti-social factors. We are to fight capitalism and not the capitalists." (4)

Whether we call it socialism, communism, Marxism, or even democratic socialism, they are all one and the same. They are all standing on the leftist platform. Yet, they keep adopting new appellations to escape from their past horrors. When one cunning tactic gets exposed, negative people invent new techniques and brandish themselves with new names in order to continue their same misdeeds. Their sole method is to abuse capitalists and capture power.

For decades, atrocity after atrocity has been committed by different communist countries on their own people. That is why the whole globe treats communists as abhorrent. No intelligent person has any positive opinion about communism. So cunning communist-minded leaders give many new names to their movement, including leftists. But their limited strategy is always the same. Those leftist members time and again criticize capitalists, multinational corporations, globalisation, IMF, etc, but they never, ever raise accusations about the suppression which existed and still may exist in communist countries like China, Vietnam, Russia / USSR, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela etc.

Very important point to know

Some may wonder how socialism, communism, Marxism, or even democratic socialism are all one and the same. The answer is that they are all matter-centered philosophies. In each case, their goal is matter, and when the goal is matter the aim is to try to accumulate money in whatever way possible, right or wrong. In contrast, Prout is a God-centered philosophy. And the goal of the Proutist is to merge themselves with the Supreme Entity. For them, matter is just for adjustment in the world. So when matter is not the goal then Proutists do not fall into the defective approach of embracing the accumulation of material wealth as their goal of life; nor do they try to satisfy their infinite longing by indulging in material, sensual enjoyment etc. Whereas, socialism, communism, Marxism, or even democratic socialism are of the same ilk: They are all grossly matter-centered philosophies where people are sunk in the woes of indulgence and degradation.

Socialism is state capitalism

In His 'Economic Dynamics’ discourse, Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar exposes both capitalists and communists / socialists on how their economy is a centralised economy such that the whole profit goes either to the pockets of a few certain individuals or in the pockets of the communist party leaders. So capitalism and communism are both working under the direction of a centralised economy, i.e. the profit goes to a few individuals. Profit does not go to the common people. Ultimately, the money that is accumulated lands in the hands of a certain few individuals. In stark contrast, in Prout, the profit goes to the common people. Hence, the stand of Prout is completely different— directly opposite.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy states, "In capitalist economies, production is for the profit of the capitalist and the profit goes to individuals, groups and the state exchequer. In socialist economies or so-called communism, the profit goes to the state exchequer and a microscopic fraction of the profit goes to the actual producers. In both cases capitalism exists." (5)

It is therefore evident that leftists, or socialists, or communists, whatever they may be, wholly adopt the system of state capitalism by their actions and approach. Such communists, leftists, and socialists aim to have their party heads control all of the mundane wealth. In that sense, they are as bad as the capitalists. Verily, they all are materialists where matter is taken as the be-all and end-all of life.

Prout philosophy states, “Even if there is abundant production in a country, the common people do not benefit. The rich become richer and get more scope to continue their merciless exploitation. In state capitalism, the exploitative rulers tighten their grip over society even more. State capitalism may call itself capitalism, socialism or communism, but ultimately it stands before the masses as more dangerous and bloodthirsty than bloodsucking ghouls and demons.” (6)

Conclusion

Prout’s approach is entirely different from these materialistic philosophies. Prout's work is to out root capitalism. To establish Prout, we should stand firm on our ideological principles. We should never compromise on our ideological fundamentals by linking up with such materialistic leftists.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy guides, "Those of you who ardently believe in PROUT should be vigilant in this regard...Human beings want selfless service. PROUT is dedicated to the service and welfare of one and all. You should immediately build a one and indivisible human society without further delay by popularizing PROUT." (7)

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Carry on a ceaseless and pactless fight against dogma. You are sure to be crowned with victory." (8)

in Him,
Shyam deva

False promises

In addition to their incessant criticism of capitalists, leftist promise that they will create a level playing field by the redistribution of wealth: taking from the rich and giving to the poor. But that never happens. Rather in their approach, the state captures all of the wealth. So those leftists are just full of empty promises. Moreover, theirs is a godless approach that negates spirituality. Hence, all practices - sadhana, kiirtana, puja, etc - have to be done underground for fear of being rounded up by the state.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Be aware

On and off, over the last few decades, some so-called Prout leaders have been enamoured with groups like the World Social Forums and other leftist-minded approaches, just because they criticize capitalists, but this is wholly against the ethics and ethos of Prout. We should stand firmly on our Prout fundamentals and not align ourselves in any way with those from the leftist paradigm.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "Do not have any dealings with a party whose policies are opposed to those of the Marga." (9)

Counting the days

“Mańir dyutite phúler hásite, ese chile mor madhuvane, bhúle jáoá kon phálgune…” (Prabhat Samgiita #0561)

Purport:

O’ my Dearmost, You came in my madhuvan - You came in the inner recesses of my heart - shining like pearls and with Your soft smile that is just like a bunch of fragrant flowers. This was one incredible moment during that auspicious and unforgettable spring season. I cannot ever forget it. After relinquishing everything, giving up hearth and home, and only ideating on You, for ages upon ages, I had been counting the days, waiting for You.

Since that blissful encounter and unbelievable occasion, so many southern breezes have passed, and the sandalwood tree has exuded and leaked so much of its sap and intoxicating fragrance and heavenly nectar. Countless morning stars have faded away, and so many days have gone by in my listlessness and melancholic longing for You. Alas, so many wonderful opportunities for a tender, loving rendezvous washed away in vain as You did not come.

O’ Parama Purusa, in Your absence the sweetness of the mind has been lost; my mental river of bhakti has dried up. Relying exclusively on Your unending mercy, the viina of my mind tearfully beseeches You, “O’ Prabhu, due to Your own sweet grace and infinite kindness, please come to me”...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #0561:

(1) Madhuvan: This is the special grove or orchards where lovers meet and where bhaktas go to be with their Lord.

Be careful before asking

Ananda Marga ideology says, “Suppose a man wants to be a king. In the next life he may be born into the household of a poor man whose surname is 'Raja' (king). He wanted to be a raja (king) and he became one! One must be very cautious before wishing for anything. In this regard there is a nice story. Once a certain person asked Shiva to grant him the boon of immortality. Shiva told him, 'It's impossible to become immortal. You should think more intelligently before asking anything.' So the man said, 'Alright, please grant me the boon that I will never die at night or during the day.' He died in the evening! In fact, the best thing is not to ask Parama Purus'a for anything." (1)

Note: First thing is that it is best not to ask mundane things from Parama Purusa because one does not know what is going to happen even after one second - whether one will survive or die. In that case, asking for something will be useless as we ourselves do not know our future needs. That is why one should say, "O' Parama Purusa, please act according to Your wish." Finally, if one has so much desire to ask something from Parama Purusa, then the only thing one should ask for is parabhakti - the highest devotion.

Be ready for Prout + 3 more

Baba
Be ready for Prout

Namaskar,

Most do not realise that communism and capitalism are brother-sister philosophies. Both are based on materialism. In communism, the state controls and hoards all the wealth; that means those top government post-holders bask in extravagant luxury. And in capitalism, private entities accumulate all the riches; that means a select few individuals preside over a large percentage of the wealth.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy states, "Capitalism and communism are the same internally. Fruits of the same variety may have different colour skins, but their seeds are the same. Capitalism and communism are fruits of the same variety." (1)

From one materialistic philosophy to another

Thus East Germany rolled from one materialistic philosophy into another - where a disproportionate number in society become “have-nots”. When material goods and money are limited, then a society of “haves” and “have-nots” results where there is tremendous wealth disparity. That was the case with communism, and it is the case with capitalism. Now 35 years later, there are a growing number of Germans who long for those days of old. The reason for this is that capitalism has run amuck.

Capitalism has run amuck

We must bear in mind that all in society do not have the same intelligence and talent. And in capitalism, those with greater capacity ruthlessly exploit the masses. There is no check on this. The masses quickly become beggars while the corporate elite rule over 99% of the wealth. Indeed, those countries that recently joined the ranks of capitalism and the free market economy - like Russia, India, and China, along with eastern Europe - have the most striking degree of wealth disparity.

And unlike communism, in capitalism those have-nots will just get left behind. It is akin to a runner in the Olympics. If that runner lags behind and falls to the ground, the other competitors do not care. They do not look back and extend a hand. Just they keep racing ahead. Same is the case of the materialistic model in capitalism. Those who lag behind are forgotten and left to wither away by themselves.

With the fall of the Berlin Wall, the wealth disparity multiplied many fold. Some few became ultra-rich, while many more fell into the depths of poverty, languishing in dire straits. That is why some reminisce and fondly look back upon that era of the Berlin wall where at least they were granted the basics of life. The key element here is that  in capitalism there is more selfishness and more competition, and it is not easy to keep up.

Put Prout in position to fill the vacuum

In the near future, once again there will be a vacuum. And all the competing philosophies will be jockeying for the top spot. As Ananda Margiis, our foremost duty is to spread the message of Prout and see to it that next time Prout is a major player and in position to fill the vacuum. Only then will true peace and harmony exist in society - and the gross disparity of wealth will be eliminated, just a problem of the past.

Conclusion

With regard to today’s global socio-economic climate, Prout is certainly the need of the day. Capitalism has worn out its stay. The divide between the rich and the poor is immense. Only Prout has the rational response and solution.

In Him,
Shriimukha

With the fall of communism in 1989 a vacuum was created. At that time, Prout was unable to fill the space. The competing philosophy of the day was capitalism and that easily took hold. Those in the former East Germany had seen from afar the material wealth of the west and were allured by those riches. So they felt bringing in the free market economy of capitalism was a tremendous boon.

~ In-depth study ~

Prout philosophy states, "Human hunger is limitless. If it is channelised in the direction of worldly objects, conflicts between one human being and another are bound to persist because mundane wealth is limited. Excessive hoarding of wealth within one group implies scarcity in another." (2)

Prout philosophy states, "Capitalism and communism are the same internally. Fruits of the same variety may have different colour skins, but their seeds are the same. Capitalism and communism are fruits of the same variety." (3)

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Communism is also a socio-economic-political theory based on materialism. In communist society people’s psychic urges and psychic pabula instinctively run after material acquisition and crude enjoyment." (4)

Prout philosophy states, "The capitalists of this modern world are anti-dharma, or antisocial, creatures. To accumulate massive wealth, they reduce others to skin and bones gnawed by hunger and force them to die of starvation; to dazzle people with the glamour of their garments, they compel others to wear rags; and to increase their own vital strength, they suck dry the vital juice of others."
"A member of a joint family cannot be called a social being if he or she does not possess the sentiment of oneness with the other members, or if he or she does not want to accept the lofty ideal of joint rights and the principle of rationality. According to true spiritual ideology the system of private ownership cannot be accepted as absolute and final, and hence capitalism cannot be supported either." (5)

Prout philosophy says, "According to true spiritual ideology, the system of private ownership cannot be accepted as absolute and final, and hence capitalism cannot be supported either." (6)

Essential for sadhana

Here is the English summary of Baba’s Hindi teaching of Átmatiirtha, V24 25(H), 22 Nov 71 Purnea, Bihar.

After involving in mundane works one is generally plunged in worldly thoughts. So then if one sits in sadhana, in the mind you will think that, “Tomorrow I will go to Arariya town. Indeed I have to go in the morning. I will have to catch the first bus.” You will sit in sadhana and go on thinking like this. In this situation what should you do? Before sitting for sadhana you should do kiirtan-- either 2 minutes, or 5 minutes, or 10 minutes. So first one should do kiirtan. Because by doing kiirtan the mind will get elevated. After that, immediately one should sit in sadhana.

Ways to cure food poisoning

The following is an English summary of Baba’s Bangla discourse from Shabda Cayanika:
Antidotes of poison - green turmeric, spinach leaves, basil...mainly black basil and secondly white basil or any kinds of basil.

If some negative effect is going on due to food poisoning or because of eating poisonous fish, then without any delay a sufficient quantity of spinach leaves should be eaten and by that way the poison will be antidoted. (English summmary) (1)
