Only one way to unite + 2 more

Baba

Only one way to unite

Namaskar,

It was a dark night and all were soundly asleep in the dormitory when one patient started shaking the bed to get rid of the bed bugs. Then so many bed bugs started rushing in all directions.

Others in half-asleep cried out, “Can you just live in harmony together.”

The patient looked towards them and said, “You neither know nor understand the problem.”

The patient took pity on them because they could not understand that the exploiter and exploited cannot live together.

Similarly, in our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha, those sitting distant do not know the underlying reasons behind the group fight and the disintegration of AMPS. It is only due to their ignorance that they are calling for unity. In the present circumstances, asking for unity in AMPS is like inviting the bed bug and patient to live together.

Note: To understand this story one must indepthly know the entire history of the organisation (AMPS), and its internal struggles.

In Him,
Dayamaya

Ananda Marga philosophy, "Human unity is purely an ideological unity, which means unity in the psychic sphere. Where there is psychic unity, physical unity will also occur. In the realm of unity, unity is always psychic – ideological unity means unity in the subtlest level of the mind. However, psychic or ideological unity may be affected if we encourage the exploitation of one group by another. So to avoid this there should not be any scope for exploitation in society. And to ensure this we have to start a new order to safeguard the interests of the exploited masses. So for a proper social synthesis what we require is a common philosophy of life; that is, ideological unity." (1)

Insight into madhuvidya

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “This world is changing, moving. The word jagat (world) is derived from the root, gam-kvip, which means moving. This universe is the psychic manifestation of Brahma. All thought processes are moving and restive, and that is why this world, the psychic manifestation of Brahma. All thought processes are moving and restive and that is why this world, the psychic manifestation of Saguńa Brahma (the Subjectivated Transcendentality), is moving and restive. A thing that appears beautiful today is not necessarily so tomorrow. A sandesh (sweetmeat) that is delicious today will not be fit for consumption after a few days. Indeed one cannot even vouch for its shape still being intact. Every unit is in a state of change, and that is why the pleasure derived from unit objects cannot last permanently. So what should a Sádhaka (spiritual aspirant) do? He or she must ascribe divinity to every unit object. Everything is the manifestation of God. Whether it is land, home, river, mountain, respect, insult, day or night – everything is He and His manifestation as a unit. Make proper use of all objects thinking that they are His gifts to us. To enjoy or endure anything is to enjoy or endure Him. Avoid the attraction of the unit and make contact with the integral whole. When you are able to live this way, the desire to steal the property of others will completely disappear. In Ananda Marga there is a special process through which one can dedicate everything to God. The ascription of divinity to objects means the pursuit of the Infinite, leaving the finite behind. Are you feeding your son? No, no, you are feeding the son-like manifestation of Brahma. Are you tilling the field? No, no you are serving the finite manifestation of Brahma with your plough. Really speaking, the ascription of divinity to objects precludes their material enjoyment, as the objects then merge in the non-material Supreme Brahma. Thus the mind of one, who has established him or herself in real Vaerágya (the renunciation of all sensual pleasures) can never become attached to finite objects. Even in their midst he or she remains beyond the reach of their attraction and gains eternal peace after death.” (1)

Note: Some people are not aware how to practice second lesson (brahamacarya, madhuvidya). They merely repeat their mantra without taking any ideation. What they do not realise is that ideation is key for the efficacy of second lesson.

Sign of weak Wt + 4 more

Baba

Sign of weak Wt

Namaskar,

It happens that certain people lose their temper and do bad things. Due to their confusion, they think that that is the normal way in Ananda Marga way of life. Unfortunately, this point about anger is grossly misunderstood in AMPS - especially amongst Wts. That is why many story writers have wrongly portrayed various scenes in their books and accounts. Here it should be clear that according to Ananda Marga philosophy losing one's temper is the sign of a very weak mind.

Watch out who is who

If somebody's face is flushed it means they have been overpowered by their internal enemy - i.e. anger vrtti - as blood is rushing towards their face. That means they are defeated. Clever lawyers do all sorts of tricks in the courtroom to get the opposite party flustered and angry so that they (the opposite team) will make a fatal error in the courtroom and lose the case.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Sometimes, someone seemingly has control over their anger, but that may not be an accurate assessment. To be fully sure, you must watch their entire personality. For example, in front of his boss, Harry may not show his anger; even if his boss misbehaves with him Harry remains calm. But, at home, Harry may become extremely angry over the smallest of incidents, i.e. silly things. So at work his anger vrtti is just controlled by his fear instinct, whereas at home that fear instinct is not engaged, so he flashes his anger and exposes his weakness. Harry unjustly gets flustered and angry with others. So you have to view that person's behaviour in various ways to correctly know who is truly established in non-anger, akrodha. That is a sign of a real dharmika.

Anger is not something one should gloat over - rather one should be ashamed that after practicing sadhana for decades this vrtti could not be controlled. So watch out. Why is this so important? Because akrodha (non-anger) is one of the main wonts of dharma. Those who lose their temper are not true dharmikas. They are half-baked. If anybody's face is flushed then you can conclude that this fellow is not a full-fledged dharmika. That is the central idea of this entire letter.

Characteristics of anger

Those who suffer from anger:
(a) they lose all their physical and intellectual strength
(b) they talk in an irrational manner
(c) they get flushed and red in the face
(d) their body starts trembling
(e) they do not have control over their nerve cells and nerve fibres
(f) their emotions are beyond their control
(g) their hands and feet are trembling
(h) they fall down at the slightest push
(i) their faculty of judgement is paralysed
(j) they become restless mentally
(k) they fail in any logical argument
(l) they are over-powered by anger

Conclusion

If you see anyone like this then it will be clear he is in the noose of anger. Those who are overwhelmed by this vrtti later repent, because they do nonsense things and harm others. That anger is very harmful. Baba's dharmic teaching is that no sadhaka should ever give way to anger [krodha] per se. The anger vrtti must never take control over one's existence.

~ In-depth study ~

Here is Baba's special guideline about akrodha

Ananda Marga ideology, "“Akrodha”. Krodha means anger. Akrodha means “free from anger”. A dhármik person – and indeed an intelligent person – must be free from anger...Suppose you are free from anger, but your opponent is quite angry with you; so angry that his or her hands and feet are trembling and his or her faculty of judgment is paralysed. If you say something rational, he or she will be defeated because the mind has become restless and fails in any logical argument. He or she is sure to be defeated in argumentation. Even if it comes to a physical fight, he or she will surely be defeated because, with hands and feet trembling, he or she will fall down at the slightest push. So if you are clever you will avoid anger. Rather, you should make your opponent angry – that will surely make you victorious in the fight. Many experienced lawyers succeed in making the [[witnesses]] of the opposing party angry, and thus manage to extract much valuable information. So one of the criteria for a dhármika person is to be free from anger." (2)

When overcome by anger, one does not have control over their nerve cells and nerve fibres. Their face gets red and their body starts trembling and ultimately they lose control over their motor and sensory organs. In that case, they may succumb to an uncontrollable rage, talk in an irrational manner, and lose all their physical and intellectual strength. When a person is overpowered in this way, it is known as tamasik krodha.

Anger is internal enemy

Everyone is aware of Guru’s teachings of the sadripus, or six internal enemies, the second of which is anger.

You have given me the warmth

"Nútan varaśe práńeri haraśe, prańati jánái tomáre,
ámár jiivane varańe varańe, ańur manane ácho bhare..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3626)

Purport:

Parama Purusa, Baba, on the auspicious occasion of New Year's Day, with full gratitude and reverence, I am surrendering myself at Your lotus feet. In every facet of my life - in various colours and forms - You pervade my unit mind. You have inundated my life with abundant blessings and filled and saturated my whole existence; my each and every atom feels indebted towards You.

Parama Purusa, You have provided me with all the necessities - food, water, clothing, shelter, medicine, and education - and have also given fruits and flowers. Your brilliance has made the cimmerian darkness disappear. You have given everything: the sweet breeze filled with the flower fragrance as well as the soothing, cool shade in the burning heat of summer. Prabhu, You are showering Your love, which is saturated with mineness and fills my entire being. You have satiated my heart with Your unparalleled, divine love. Baba, on this occasion, I do sastaunga pranam to You.

Parama Purusa, in the shivering cold, winter night You have given me the warmth of the fire, filled the flowers with a sweet, aromatic fragrance, and granted me the strength of intellect and willpower to fight against all sorts of enemies - degenerative forces, demons in human form. My Bandhu, what have You not given me. You have blessed me with every single thing and provided more than what was needed. It is Your affection. In this way, You have given so much. In spite of all this, I’ve forgotten the divine method which You showed me and am intoxicated in matter. I have not properly treaded the spiritual path and have not obeyed You. Instead, I have degraded myself and fallen due to deep attraction with the material world. By seeing my pitiful state, You have always felt for me, forgiven me again and again, and lovingly lifted me up from the dust and placed me on Your lap. Baba, You have done everything for me; words alone are incapable of singing Your glory. Lord, on this holy occasion, I offer my all at Your lotus feet by doing sastaunga pranam.

Parama Purusa, on the blissful occasion, I lay in prostration over and over again with full reverence at Your lotus feet. Baba, You are my everything...

Fate of pet owners

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "A monkey is a more developed animal than a dog or a cow, but as it does not live with humans, its development - the speed of its development - is less. Dogs and cows, who live with humans have a speedier evolution. A monkey which lives in the proximity of humans also has a speedier development." (1)

Note: But the reverse happens effect happens in the case of humans. Those people who keep such animals as their pets and live around those animals become that animal in their future life. This happens due to deep attachment with that animal and overall lack of Brahmabhava. Baba has given countless demonstrations about this.

Allopathic medicines create many new types of diseases

Ananda Marga ideology states, "When people take allopathic medicine to cure a disease, the medicine disturbs the ecological balance of the body because more negative microvita get concentrated at the point of the disease. Allopathic medicines do not kill diseases – diseases die by their own natural death. Although the medicine may check the disease, the increased concentration of negative microvita can overcome the effect of the medicine. In fact, the increased concentration of negative microvita caused by allopathic medicines creates many new types of diseases, and due to this, two or three new diseases are presently being created every decade."
