Comparative view: tantra vs pop yoga

Baba

Comparative view: tantra vs pop yoga

Note: There are many sincere, innocent, kind-hearted people who have been drawn into the contemporary yoga scene, but sadly they are not given the practices or answers they deserve to progress. It is our duty to help them. So we should know the wide gap between AM and the modern “yoga” movement and develop convincing and appealing strategies to draw them onto the path of true tantra, i.e. Ananda Marga sadhana and spirituality.

Namaskar,

The Ananda Marga system of yoga is the unique method given by Taraka Brahma Himself based in tantra. AM is the path of dharma that leads to the all-round growth and development in all the spheres of life. It stands on its own, completely independent of the current ways of pseudo-culture yoga in the popular domain.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Food in today’s yoga scene

(A) In our AM, Baba has given the philosophy of sentient / sattvika food which positively affects one’s quality of mind, the secretion of hormones, as well as one’s spiritual ideation etc. This is fundamentally lacking in the contemporary yoga movement.

(B) Our AM system of eating gives specific guidelines about when and how often one should eat, as well as how many items one may take at a given meal. Moreover, Baba guides us not to eat when others are taking tamasika food etc.

(C) The idea of engaging in spiritual ideation while eating is completely new. So eating is not a mundane affair but part of our spiritual approach to life. In addition, Baba warns us not to eat food if the person cooking is of debased mind or making a show for their own prestige. For more info, please read the points in Caryacarya part two about shráddhánna, priityanna, and ápadanna.

These above points are wholly absent in the contemporary yoga / pseudo-culture yoga scene.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Contemporary yoga: wrong asanas & dogmatic pranayama

(D) In AM, our asana practice is fixed. The total number of recommended asanas is forty-two. And each practitioner performs a specific number of asanas daily according to an exact number of repetitions with a standard duration for each posture. Moreover, all of the AM asanas are based on the secretion of hormones, control of the vrttis, and the channelization of the mind, thereby making the whole human existence a fertile ground for spiritual practice. So, in all respects, our AM system is completely scientific, whereas the contemporary yoga style has hundreds of asanas that are done in a free-form manner. Each person does their asanas according to their own feeling and liking.

(E) The reality is that the current physical yoga movement is not based on a rational approach. Sadly, in an attempt to cure something, they invite more problems. For example, in order to turn their gray hair black, they do shiirs'asana (headstand). But what they fail to understand is that by doing this posture their blood pressure is adversely affected and their eyesight deteriorates.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

(F) So contemporary yoga folks do not know the harmful effect of doing certain asanas like shiirs'asana (headstand). This asana is their most highly regarded posture. That's why even the first prime minister of India - Jawaharlal Nehru - used to practice this asana. The main point is that shiirs'asana is harmful in many ways, including being highly detrimental to the eyes. But, today, the contemporary fake yoga movement has fully embraced shiirs'asana as the king of asanas.

(G) In our Caryacarya, there are twenty-one specific rules regarding the practice of asanas. In contrast, there are no such rules in the pseudo-culture yoga classes for asanas.

(H) The pranayama of fake yoga is just related to physical exercise or even a fashion statement by the way they hold their nose. Their pranayama is completely devoid of ideation and mantra. In this type of crude approach, pranayama is just a worldly, breathing modality, and, in this way, they invite serious psychic diseases and physical ailments.

(I) They even teach kumbhak pranayama -- holding of the breath -- to new practitioners. And, if not done properly, it can be very harmful to one’s physical health such that kumbhak pranayama can create a hole in the lungs, and it can also cause various types of psychic diseases. For more, kindly reference the Caryacarya section on rules for pranayama.

Fasting: AM vs pseudo-culture yoga

(J) Baba has given all the details about fasting including the number of hours and how to conduct the fast. He has also clarified that fasting does not mean starvation but upavasa -- remaining close to God. These are completely new ideas. In contrast, the "system" of fasting in today’s yoga movement is essentially non-existent. And if they do some type of fast it is done according to their own whim or convenience because, unfortunately, they just do not know what to do.

(K) In the name of fasting they eat all kinds of things – fish, partial food, milk, garlic water, prasad and sweets – on that day, or, at the very least, they drink juice. So there are no clear-cut rules for fasting as we have in AM.

(L) In our AM, Baba's revolutionary approach reveals for the first time how to break fast properly. We have our special process for breaking upavasa with lemon / salt water. A minimum of 2-3 litres is needed to clear and cleanse the entire digestive tract. So, in AM, there is a proper system.

(M) Baba says that animals also do fasting, but they don't know how to properly break their fast. In a similar manner, those few in the contemporary yoga scene who have adopted some type of fast also do not know how to break that fast.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Misc: laungota & myrobalan

(N) Still today, in India, many males do not know the proper way of using a laungota - and more commonly they may even just use western underwear. In both cases, they wrongly place the organ in a downward direction. This creates impotence - and thus causes public misunderstanding and fear. Even today, the so-called yogacaryas and fake sannyasis use this incorrect and harmful approach. While in the contemporary yoga movement outside of India, they have no idea whatsoever about the use of a laungota. For more about this, please read the addendum at the end of this letter.

(O) Regarding the use of myrobalan, Sadguru Baba has given the strict rule that in 24 hours one must not take more than ¼ quantity of myrobalan, otherwise the lymph will dry out, the functioning of the brain will be disturbed, and one will be at risk for becoming impotent. But those dogmatic sadhus of India do not have any such warnings or regulations. And outside of India, most have never heard of myrobolan, and thus have no idea of its benefits.

(P) Sixteen Points is entirely unique, newly given by Sadguru Baba. And AM is grounded in the Sixteen Points. There is not even a shadow of a hint of this in the contemporary yoga scene.

Conclusion

AM is the tantrika path given by Taraka Brahma Himself that leads to self-realization and liberation. The path of Ananda Marga is unparalleled and unprecedented — a gift of Parama Purusa, Mahasambhuti. In contrast, the contemporary yoga scene is more of a fad or activity that has numerous defects, demerits, and dogmas. It is our duty to draw those followers onto the path of tantra. Sincere seekers will appreciate the depth and rationality of Ananda Marga.

In Him,
Ramsvarupa

~ In-depth study ~

Hatha / contemporary yoga is fake

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Hat́ha Yoga is not Yoga. In Yoga one has to do Vrtti nirodha, and for Vrtti nirodha one has to withdraw oneʼs mind from the crude objects and direct it towards Paramátman, then only suspension of propensities is possible. There has to be a goal without which suspension is not possible.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “If yoga is treated as a means of realizing Parama Puruśa and not as a type of hat́há yoga, then this is the real yoga.” (2)

Such so-called yogis cannot get liberation

Ananda Marga ideology states, “This particular type of yoga where a yogii does not bear love for the Supreme Entity is called “hat́ha yoga” in Saḿskrta. It is dangerous for human elevation. “Hat́ha” comes from “ha” and “t́ha”. “Ha” represents the súrya nádii or [[piuṋgalá]] nádii” and is the acoustic root of physical force. “Tha” represents the candra nádii or [[id́á]] nádii” and is the acoustic root of the mind. So “hat́ha” implies forcible control of mind by physical force. In popular parlance whenever something happens very abruptly or all of a sudden we use the word “hat́hát” i.e., “Hat́hena kurute karma.” Obviously a practitioner of “Hat́ha Yoga” can not attain liberation.” (3)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Regarding the definition of yoga, it is said that yogashcittavrttinirodhah – the suspension of all mental propensities is yoga. Hat́ha yoga is another name for such yoga. Suppose people suspend their mental propensities by artificial methods, by stopping the activities of their nerves. Will that help in attaining God-realization? When people fall asleep, their mental activities remain suspended – does sleep help in attaining Brahma? Hence, this is also not the correct approach. The logic that the suspension of mental propensities leads to supreme spiritual attainment is also false.” (4)

No scope for service

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Many people criticize this path of hat́ha yoga because, they say, the practices of ásanas, práńáyáma, and so on, are not very congenial for spiritual progress. In fact, the defects of this system are as follows: first, such yogis cannot render any useful service to the world, for they have to keep themselves engaged in these practices for twenty-four hours a day. Yet, human beings have to do so many things in life, not only the practices of ásanas, práńáyáma, and so on. They must learn many things and teach many things to others. If, instead of doing that, some people spend a major portion of their days practising práńáyáma, how will they find time for setting an example for others?” (5)

Misuse of the term “yoga”

Ananda Marga ideology states, “You should be careful about the frequent misuse of the word “yoga” nowadays. In this connection you should remember one thing. In the Sanskrit language, the verbs yuiṋj and yuj do not have identical meanings. Yuj means “to add”, while yuiṋj means “to unify, to become one without any difference”. [In the same way,] jiivátmá and Paramátmá become one. The jiivátmá no longer has any separate identity. It has merged itself in Paramátmá. Brahmavid brahmaeva bhavati – “One who knows Paramátmá becomes Paramátmá Himself.” He no longer has any separate existence. In the spiritual domain, yoga is used in this sense (in the sense of “unification” and not in the sense of “addition”). You should remember that maybe one has learnt a few ásanas such as shiirśásańa, sarváuṋgásana, pashcimottanásana, and so on, but does one thus become a yogi? It does not happen like this. It is not so easy to become a yogi.” (6)

Not real yoga

Ananda Marga ideology states, “If yoga is treated as a means of realizing Parama Puruśa and not as a type of hat́há yoga, then this is the real yoga. Otherwise if one practices práńáyáma for a long portion of the day, then oneʼs coming onto this earth becomes meaningless. Many people suspend their vital energy by means of hat́há yogic practices. Others wrongly think that since such people can suspend their life-force, they must be great personalities – mahápuruśas. Such a notion is wholly defective. Through regular practice, oneʼs life-force can be suspended, but that does not prove oneʼs greatness. One can survive for long without food; there are some specific techniques for that; but most people in the world do not know those methods. If those who know the methods are called mahápuruśas, this is not correct.” (7)

Devoid of Cosmic ideation

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “When práńáyáma is done without fixing the mind on a particular point of concentration, and without imbibing Cosmic ideation, it is called hat́ha yaogika práńáyáma” (8)

Part of avidya tantra

Ananda Marga philosophy says, “Depending upon the difference in the controlling points of the cakras, spiritual sádhaná can take either of two forms: (#1) Controlling the hormone secretion of the glands and strengthening the controlling points of the cakras is the system known as hatha yoga, because it is more physical in character. This science is more extroversive in character and consequently part of avidya tantra. (#2) To surrender oneʼs mind to Shrii Krśńa – This is introversive or ideational in character and is part of Vidyá Tantra. This is the real sádhaná, where the entire psycho-physical entity surrenders itself to Parama Puruśa.” (9)

Addendum: It is written in our AMPS publication on Sixteen Points: "It is proper and desirable to pull back the skin of the genital organ and to wear a laungota holding penis upright."

How to look upon the world

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “This world is changing, moving. The word jagat (world) is derived from the root, gam-kvip, which means moving. This universe is the psychic manifestation of Brahma. All thought processes are moving and restive, and that is why this world, the psychic manifestation of Brahma. All thought processes are moving and restive and that is why this world, the psychic manifestation of Saguńa Brahma (the Subjectivated Transcendentality), is moving and restive. A thing that appears beautiful today is not necessarily so tomorrow. A sandesh (sweetmeat) that is delicious today will not be fit for consumption after a few days. Indeed one cannot even vouch for its shape still being intact. Every unit is in a state of change, and that is why the pleasure derived from unit objects cannot last permanently. So what should a Sádhaka (spiritual aspirant) do? He or she must ascribe divinity to every unit object. Everything is the manifestation of God. Whether it is land, home, river, mountain, respect, insult, day or night – everything is He and His manifestation as a unit. Make proper use of all objects thinking that they are His gifts to us. To enjoy or endure anything is to enjoy or endure Him. Avoid the attraction of the unit and make contact with the integral whole. When you are able to live this way, the desire to steal the property of others will completely disappear. In Ananda Marga there is a special process through which one can dedicate everything to God. The ascription of divinity to objects means the pursuit of the Infinite, leaving the finite behind. Are you feeding your son? No, no, you are feeding the son-like manifestation of Brahma. Are you tilling the field? No, no you are serving the finite manifestation of Brahma with your plough. Really speaking, the ascription of divinity to objects precludes their material enjoyment, as the objects then merge in the non-material Supreme Brahma. Thus the mind of one, who has established him or herself in real Vaerágya (the renunciation of all sensual pleasures) can never become attached to finite objects. Even in their midst he or she remains beyond the reach of their attraction and gains eternal peace after death.” (1)

Note: Some people are not aware of how to practice second lesson (brahamacarya, madhuvidya). They merely repeat their mantra without taking any ideation. What they do not realise is that ideation is key for the efficacy of second lesson.

Baba’s guideline during Emergency & beyond + 3 more

Baba

Baba’s guideline during Emergency & beyond

Namaskar,

In countless discourses, Baba guides us that bhakti lies within. That sweet, close devotional proximity with Him is achieved internally. This is Baba's eternal teaching on bhakti. We also know that everything Baba has given is 100% clear, consistent, and conclusive. In that way, His every thought, word, and deed are perfectly accordant with His AM ideology.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Sixteen Points & Emergency

In those weeks and months before going to jail, Baba beautifully introduced His divine system of Sixteen Points. Now, in retrospect, we can clearly see that this was His special timing. Being the omniscient Parama Purusa and knowing that the unjust jail period was upcoming, Baba introduced Sixteen Points with the intention that even during His physical absence –  i.e. jail period – all margiis would be able to endure and have ample resilience to face the difficulty of the Emergency. By strictly adhering to Sixteen Points, margiis would have the strength, vigour, and bhakti to overcome all obstacles.

So, in that pre-jail period around 1970, Baba was living in Patna, and, on a regular basis, He began checking up on everyone's Sixteen Points, ensuring that all were following properly. Baba knew that without those special guidelines it would be impossible for sadhakas to survive the Emergency. Whereas, by following Sixteen Points, every margii would have the requisite bhakti to withstand any and all difficulties. This was Baba's unique and special planning.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Vanii guidelines

And, during the Emergency period itself, Baba graciously issued these below dharmic mandates about Sixteen Points in His eternal and timeless teachings of Ananda Vanii Samgraha.

Ananda Vanii says, "Be firm on Sixteen Points. Unite all the righteous forces. All the tall talks of the evil forces will be silenced." (1)

Ananda Vanii says, "In order to march ahead on the road of human welfare, we will have to strengthen ourselves in all the arenas of life. The complete seeds of welfare in all the spheres -- physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual -- are embedded in the SIxteen Points. Hence be firm on the Sixteen Points." (2)

So this is one special aspect of that jail period, and that universal teaching holds true for today and eternity: By strictly adhering to Sixteen Points, one's level of bhakti will blossom.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Baba’s special reply to sadhakas

During the jail period, many margiis visited Baba, and Baba graciously gave countless guidelines to all those who came — often directing people in their personal lives and answering their various questions about how to proceed. All through His incarceration this was going on. But, over the course of this entire period, there was one query that was asked again and again. And that question was, “How to best manage during this difficult time?” After all, each and every Ananda Margii was facing many challenges, and every disciple was also keen to keep the flag of AM upright in this hostile environment. Baba’s reply was, “Tell everyone that they should be very strict and sincere in following Sixteen Points.”

After the Emergency period ended, many of our dedicated Ananda Margiis (Wts and general margiis) were pardoned and released from jail. However, Sadguru Baba's case was still pending so He had not yet been released. Naturally, everyone was eagerly asking about how they could best carry on while He was still in jail. Here again, Baba’s guideline was to strictly adhere to Sixteen Points. And this lesson was not just applicable for that juncture, but stands as an eternal guideline for those on the spiritual path.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Even CBI agents will be transformed

Each and every Ananda Margii knows in their heart that bhakti transcends the physical sphere as it is a psycho-spiritual quality. And Sixteen Points is essential for developing bhakti. After all, so many communist spies and CBI agents were planted here and there, physically watching Baba intently during DMCs and His fieldwalks etc. But such communists and CBI agents did not have an iota of bhakti in them. Rather, they were totally against AM and did not understand anything about Baba's divine advent. So, even though they were watching physically, they could not get the real nectar. Even Jyoti Basu-- the crooked communist leader of West Bengal-- who lived in the same city for years, did not have any inkling of bhakti. However, had those same nefarious people become strict in Sixteen Points they would have been wholly transformed and become great bhaktas.

Central dadas had to do sadhana

Here is the other half of the equation. Various central workers were around Baba 24hrs a day, but they still had to do sadhana and follow Sixteen Points. Baba never said to them that since they were in His physical proximity they did not have to do sadhana or follow Sixteen Points. This was never Baba's instruction. Instead, even if a Dada had been working all morning with Baba then, before lunch, that Dada still had to do half-bath, sadhana etc. It was not that he could skip sadhana and eat just because he had been physically close that morning. Rather, the rule was always, 'No sadhana, no meal'. So sadhana (i.e. following Sixteen Points) always had to be done regardless of the degree of one's physical proximity to Baba.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

We can say then that bhakti is such a unique force that is not limited to the physical sphere. Rather we know-- and in numerous discourses Baba guides us-- that the secret to the higher stages of bhakti is dhya'na; and, that dhya'na is not possible without strict adherence to Sixteen Points. So Baba’s guideline is to be very strict in Sixteen Points, as by this avenue one will become an elevated sadhaka and gain those deep spiritual realisations and samadhis etc.

Here, Baba beautifully describes how internal bhakti and sadhana are the key ingredients for attaining Him. Thus, strictness in Sixteen Points is needed.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "It is wrong to think that Parama Purus'a is realizable by man through empirical knowledge...To attain Brahma you shall have to do sa'dhana' or spiritual meditation. You should make Him the only goal of your life. For this you require integrity, devotion and singular and earnest love for Him. He is not attainable without reverence and unflagging and unflinching devotion. When the devotional depth will come, love, too, will be out-brimming with high sentiments - will be full and over-flowing... In that state alone will come your final realization of the Supreme Consciousness." (3)

Conclusion

Sixteen Points is essential. It is vital towards our well-being in all fields of life. And by being strict in Sixteen Points one gains that crown-jewel of life: bhakti. So no matter what phase of life one is in, and no matter the circumstances one is facing, every sadhaka should be very strict in Sixteen Points. And one will feel Baba’s divine presence always. That is His great blessing upon us.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

At His lotus feet,
Gurubhakti

To understand AM books requires the mind of a sadhaka and that’s why non-margiis do not understand our AM books. AM books are the theoretical side, and the practical side is spiritual practice. Those who do not do sadhana will not understand Baba's teachings. For example, the Indian CBI had all our books, including the acarya diary, but they did not understand anything. Rather, they became paranoid by reading the word sadvipra leadership.

The sublime brilliance

"Bhálobese chile tumi ámáy, vinimaye kichu cáo ni..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3811)

Purport:

Parama Purusa, You are so kind. Since ages You have loved me, but in return You have never wanted anything. You do not wish to receive anything from me; only You want to go on pouring Your divine compassion on me. Whatever I have offered unto You, You have politely refused to take - You only shower Your affection.

Baba, my Supreme Entity, Your kindness knows no limit. It is just like the moon which suffuses its sweetness by pouring its soft moonlight on everything. The moon does not consider the good or bad quality of those entities, just the moon goes on shining its refulgence. In the same way, You pour Your karun’a’ upon all incessantly, everywhere. You never consider or look into who is high, or who is mean and low. You lovingly see everyone as Yours - worthy of Your infinite kindness.

My divine One Baba, in the pouring rain of the pitch dark night, the smiling fragrance of the ketaki flower permeates the entire atmosphere all the 24 hrs, regardless whether there is darkness or light. Similarly, You also do not care about the proper or improper time, or who is qualified for Your mercy or not. Your affection never ceases. Even in the wake of meteor strikes in Your beautiful sky, still Your prema shines forth on all. You are most gracious to everyone - all the time. Your blessing is like the sublime brilliance which removes all the darkness in the blink of an eye.

Baba, You are the most compassionate One. I surrender everything at Your altar; please accept me and keep me under Your shelter...

== Section 3: Important Teaching ==

All are blessed

Ananda Marga ideology guides, "Those who have fallen today may become evolved people, great personalities in the future – mahápuruśas. This is why no one should ever be disappointed in life. Parama Puruśa is calling everyone and He will continue to call everyone: all shall find a safe shelter on His loving lap. He does not hate or neglect anyone. Hence the only answer to the question, “kasya tvam” – “Whom do you belong to?” – is: “I belong to Parama Puruśa, to Him and Him alone, because I have come from Him and I am in Him, and finally I will return to Him.” And the only answer to the question, “Kuta áyátah” – “From where have you come?” – is: “I have come from Parama Puruśa and I will go back to Him. He is my permanent abode.”" (1)

Key tool for sadhakas + 3 more

Baba
Key tool for sadhakas

Namaskar,

Multiple times through the course of each day we should involve ourselves in introspection: Review the entirety of our conduct and compare it with Ananda Marga ideology. By that way, we can see how we are doing. Throughout all movements in life, we should do self-analysis and ensure we are heading in the right direction.

Without introspection and these other avenues - Sixteen Points chart, svadhyaya, benevolent guide, satsaunga etc - invariably people fall away from the path, misusing their existence in degrading pursuits. Unfortunately, they revert back to animality and in the future they will get a body accordingly. They may become an animal or even worse.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

The situation is serious, and the best way to keep abreast of the matter is to perform introspection and review one’s course of actions. With an unbiased mind, carefully analyse your modus operandi in life. One must ask themselves: “Do my actions reflect Baba's divine teachings? Is my daily conduct guided by ideology?” Depending upon how many times the answer is "no", that is the degree to which one is going against human dharma.

Realising Parama Purusa within

It is essential to bear in mind that this life is an opportunity to realise Parama Purusa within. That means wholeheartedly embracing Ananda Marga ideology and crossing the ocean of maya. That is the proper use of this human machine or human body, and those who achieve this are truly blessed.

Proper utility of human life

In His discourse, "Utilize All Your Potentialities" (21 April 1969 morning, Manila), Baba guides us that if we have a tractor and a big lot of land then we are foolish and ignorant if we do not use the tractor and let the land become overgrown and unusable. Our job is to use the tractor to make the land arable. That is the proper use of the tractor.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Similarly, this human body is a tool or a machine for attaining Parama Purusa. Yet, commonly people misuse their bodies for indulgent pursuits. Many get lured towards the lower propensities. In that case, they are going to degenerate and miss the great opportunity to attain godhood and merge with Parama Purusa.

As sadhakas we should (a) regularly review our code of conduct, (b) ensure we are moving on the path of ideology, and (c) use our machine for attaining Parama Purusa. Just sitting back and letting life go by is not the way. We are to utilise this life for realising Him. For this, introspection is an essential tool. In that process, we can see how far our intentions and actions are ideological. Are we doing what we should be doing. That is how we can ensure our human existence is being used properly.

Conclusion

As followers of Ananda Marga, we have been blessed with a wonderful opportunity. We should not waste it and degrade back into animal life - goaded by instincts and baser propensities. Ours is a human march meant for the expression of ideology. Regular introspection enables one to stay on track. That is the best utilisation of this human life - freeing oneself from the noose of maya and attaining Parama Purusa.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Acala

~ In-depth study ~

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Then who can get Parama Purusa? They say it is very, very easy. What to do? “O Lord, I am Your creation. I am Yours, I am at Your disposal. This body is a machine. Utilize it.”" (1)

By surrendering to Parama Purusa and doing His work, one is sure to overcome the trappings of maya and delve inside to the Supreme stance. That is what happens when one leads a life based on ideology. And that is the best use of this human life.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "You have got a human body. Make the best utilization of it. Forget everything of the past from this very moment...Go on working in such a way that you give your proper worth to society, and you bring about the actual evolution of humanity. Be a devotee of humanity as well as a devotee [bhakta] of Parama Purus'a. Let victory be with you." (2)

One will feel His presence

Having a strong, dharmic, and benevolent guide is a boon for every sadhaka. The unparalleled, greatest guide is having Taraka Brahma as the Guru. Then one is truly blessed. With a pointed mind one will feel His presence.

When a strong dharmika is watching over your growth, that guide will keenly view your each and every action and ensure your diet, dealing and overall code of conduct are proper. Some acaryas do this with their initiates.

But really speaking this aspect is truly lacking these days. As the standard of many acaryas is lower, and they themselves are falling into problem, then how can they justly point out and watch over someone else's progress.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Great value of strong & dharmic guide

Having a strong, dharmic, and benevolent guide is a boon for every sadhaka. The unparalleled, greatest guide is having Taraka Brahma as the Guru. Then one is truly blessed. All know that as Mahasambhuti Baba kept sadhakas firm to the path through dharma samiiksa, reportings, and personal contact, etc. Baba benevolently pointed out one's wrongdoing in the spirit of universal welfare. By that way, countless sadhakas were directly benefited. And still today He is personally watching and guiding us in various ways. When the mind is in a spiritual flow, one will surely feel His presence.

Following Guru’s guidelines like introspection, 16 Points chart, and svadhaya are essential for a sadhaka. In addition, when a strong dharmika is watching over your progress, that guide will help ensure your overall code of conduct is proper. Some acaryas do this with their initiates. But really speaking, this aspect is mostly lacking these days. Sadly, the standard of acaryas is in decline, and when they themselves are involved in degrading activities, then how can they properly point out and watch over someone else's progress. Parents, teachers, and friends can fulfill this role but wherever materialism crops up then that type of bond is broken as people become selfish, debased, and disinterested in dharmic conduct. Thus all around there is an extreme dearth of proper guides.

The cream of spiritual life is to wholly surrender at His lotus feet and take Sadguru Baba as the Supreme Guide in each and every action in life. There is no other way.

Reason for not creating another God

In this darshan, Sadguru Baba raises the query why Parama Purusa cannot make or create another omnipotent Entity. Then in response, one margii says that if Parama Purusa creates 2, 5, or 10 omnipotent entities then those omnipotent entities might create even more. In that case, there will be a plethora of omnipotent entities and some of them may cause huge chaos - even making or destroying the entire creation. That is why Parama Purusa cannot make a second omnipotent entity. That is the basic idea of what the margii says in the below section and Baba accepts the overall spirit of the  margii’s response.

[Baba says] “For the sake of His omnipotency, He cannot create a second Parama Purus'a. Yes, right you are.”

[Baba says]  এইটা হল উত্তর |

[Baba says] “For the sake of His omnipotency, in order to maintain the dignity of His omnipotency, He cannot create a second Parama Purus'a. So, it is not ultravarious to the spirit of omnipotency.” (1)

How religions suffocate humanity

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "To stifle the progress of humanity, the followers of these religions play on human sentiments and other weaknesses. They want to perpetuate the hold of the vested interests by infusing an inferiority complex into the human mind. While preaching their religious ideas, some claim that the social, economic and political systems were direct creations of God and hence destined to be observed in all ages and all times with equal veneration. They pronounce that those who refuse to follow this divine decree will be doomed to burn in the scorching heat of God’s wrath, or dammed to suffer eternal hell-fire. To deny people the scope of verifying the rationality of different scriptures they declare that such-and-such scriptures are infallible and so nobody has the right to question their veracity. If the philosophical texts contradict the scriptures, then their propounders will be declared as atheists." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Through nityánitya viveka, human beings become aware of the fleeting nature of transient objects. They observe that with change in time, place and person, corresponding changes occur in social, political, economic, and all other spheres of life take to which they have to adapt themselves. Those who are reluctant to adapt themselves to the changed circumstances are doomed to destruction. A religion or an “ism” is created in a certain age which itself is a product of the three factors of time, place and person. However, the religion does not recognize the necessity of adjustment with the change in social life. It refuses to realize that the old rules and regulations of the previous age are now only mere historical records, having lost their relevance in the present dynamic society." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology says, "So it is seen that in the absence of nityánitya viveka the propounders of religion want to thwart the intellectual progress of human society at large. They knowingly refuse to understand that any observation regarding the spatial, temporal and personal factors, from whatever person it might come, is bound to lose its relevance in a transformed situation." Depraved condition of so-called chosen ones

Prout philosophy states, "There are many philosophies which tend to crudify the human mind, and make people violent and inconsiderate. They make people believe that they are God's favourite children, whereas the rest of humanity are cursed. Although these views have philosophical sanction, they do not have the sanction of the a'tman (soul)...Intellectually such people are certainly slaves, and in the material world also they are slaves." (1)

Note: This psychic disease is present in fundamentalist Jews, fundamentalist Christians, and fundamentalist Muslims etc. All are bad and guilty of this point, but especially the fundamentalist Jews and Muslims. They feel very negatively towards those who do not belong to their dogmatic beliefs. Muslims brand others as Quafir (demons) and Jews label non-Jews in their own derogatory language. According to Prout philosophy, the status of those fundamentalist Jews and Muslims is like slaves - intellectually and physically.
