Baba
Namaskar
Those who want to highlight themselves are going against Baba's fundamental teaching. That is the theme of this letter: In a confused state they are moving in the wrong direction. It is understood that Baba condemns those who indulge in self-praise. In fact, in any civilized society self-praise is not openly accepted as it looks ridiculous - just a grand display of an outsized ego. People are ridiculed for this, so they refrain from praising themselves openly or directly.
Rather, in those so-called, seemingly civilized societies, when people have a strong desire to be praised, then they hire some other persons for this task by giving them some payment or post. And they keep those hired persons nearby; and their duty is to praise. This is the regular tactic that is done. Many egocentric kings were like that in the past. They kept certain ministers only for the special duty of praising the king. This was the only work of those ministers.
These days also many politicians pay money to the newspapers to get their self-glorifying propaganda published. To highlight their own personality politicians do like this. But this self-praise has never been accepted by a truly civilized society, or by balanced and rational people.

Now people blatantly glorify themselves
Now, however, society has become even more degenerated. Up to a few decades back no normal or respected person was feeling comfortable announcing, “I am great, I am extraordinary. I did this….” - and so on and so forth.” People would never do this for themselves; rather they had others do it for them - as noted above. But now we are in a new era; society has since changed. It is far more degenerated than earlier. Comparatively, people became so self-centered and self-engrossed that they lost their sense of propriety and impropriety. They lost their sense of decency and civilization. Now they come forward and praise themselves openly, with no shame. The ongoing situation with the various people is a glaring case of such self-propaganda. If they were more civilised they would not yearn to be praised.
These days people have become very self-centered, and this has only been compounded with the rise of social media where people glorify and gloat about their each and every action and work. Aside from social media, in various parts of the world many even prepare their own tombstones and glorify their life before they die. Otherwise they fear that after their death nobody will care about him. So they do it themselves, when previously their sons and daughters were doing this job. Those who are self-engrossed cannot think about others. Just they are busy in thinking of their own self. So in their natural course they forget about all decency and indecency, or propriety and impropriety of their behaviour.

“Please stop praising yourself so much”
We Ananda Margiis have come in the shelter of Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji. We have to leave the path of dogma and follow His noble ideas - and bring our life from darkness to light. Here below Baba gives the teaching that self-glorificationis not good. One should not give way to vanity. Those who have vanity lose their sense in their speech and writing. That is why those engrossed in establishing themselves indulge in self-praise without the least care. And they forget whether what they are doing is right or wrong. With an imbalanced mind they say, do, or write something so over the top about themselves that it is altogether intolerable to others.
Ananda Marga ideology states, "“Kiirttaniiyah sadáharih”. Kiirtana should be done on Hari and on no other entity. One should not praise oneself or any other person. There are many people who are very fond of praising themselves by telling everyone what wonderful things they have done, but, as mentioned in this sloka, kiirtana is not for one’s own self but for Hari. Even though people are taught to do kiirtana for Hari, they still make the mistake of praising themselves too much. Sometimes their self-praise is so intense that others are obliged to say, “Please stop praising yourself so much.” They forget that their self-applause is rather boring for others. Human beings should realize that no one likes to hear the self-praise of others." (1)
In Him,
Jiivendra
In Prabhat Samgiita #337, says, “A’lokera path cha’r’ibo na’...A’mi nijere praca’r karibo na’..."
Purport: O' Lord, I will not leave the path of Ananda Marga ideology, the path of effulgence. I will never leave the path which You showed me. By Your grace I will change myself according to Your desire. By Your grace I will make my mind straight, focusing on You and propagating Your glory. I will never glorify my own existence. I will never propagate my own personal glories, attributions, or accomplishments. I will never praise myself in front of anyone. I will never glorify myself in this way. Because You have taught me to propagate the glory of the Supreme - the glory of Parama Purusa. So I will never praise myself….

Future of the arrogant bull
In this following story about the egoistic bull our Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji guides us.
Ananda Marga ideology says, “We have seen bulls moving about in the streets with an air of arrogance. Such a bull creates a sound expressing the idea that it is big- Ham bar’a’. But when the bull dies and ta’nt [vina string] is made out of its intestines and musicians start playing on it, the sound which is then emitted expresses the idea Tun bar’a’- meaning thereby that the bull realizes that others are big, and realizes that he has arrived at this condition because of his arrogance.” (2)
This bull-like situation we see unfolding nowadays in some so-called civilized societies.

== Section 3: Important Teaching ==
Ananda Marga ideology states, “The word “godly” and “god-fearing” do not have the same meaning. Behind godliness is a soul-stirring sentiment – an ardent zeal to realize one’s true Self; and the reason behind the fear of God is the important attempt to escape from the consequential suffering of one’s misdeeds. Yet the latter is still superior to the atheists, because at least for fear of divine punishment they refrain from sinful acts. The greatest advantage of the theists is that they do not endure the pangs of internal clash. But no matter how brazenly sceptics indulge in tall talks or sharpen the edge of their verbal weapons to win in an argument, there is always a fight going on in their minds. Reading a few pages of a book or listening to the eloquences of a few speakers, they seek to violate their own nature. With their fragmental external knowledge they try to struggle against the indivisible Supreme Entity, and in the end, being defeated, they say, “If He does exist, then why can’t we find Him?” Yet all the while their inner selves lament within them.” (1)
Note: There are three key and important points from the above teaching.
(1) The religions preach that one must be God-fearing otherwise God will punish and destroy you. They think that is the best possible relationship one can have with the Divine, i.e to be God-fearing. According to Ananda Marga philosophy, fear is the worst type of relation with God. If one fears Him they will not like to go close to Him. In which case, one can never become one with that Supreme Entity. So it is very obvious that by this religious formula, no one can realize God.
(2) The teachings of Ananda Marga are the topmost: Ananda Marga preaches that one should cultivate love for the Divine Entity. By that way, the bhakta wishes to go close to Him and ultimately becomes one with Him, by His grace.
(3) The status of atheists is worse than followers of the dogmatic religions. Religious adherents refrain from doing bad due to fear of the Lord. But atheists have two problems. First, they do not have any genuine, dharmic rules in their life. Secondly, such atheists perpetually suffer from existential issues. With their logic they say they do not believe in God and try to disprove His existence, yet their heart tells them otherwise. Then their logical mind retorts, “If God exists then why can I not see Him?” So they live in a perpetual dilemma—always in limbo. The all-knowing Baba knows everyone's thoughts and He says that no one is an atheist. In sum, the condition of such atheists is pathetic as they live in perpetual crisis and misery.

Inherent dangers of party politics
Prout philosophy states, “Party politics is one of the factors which stands, or tries to stand, in the way of human unity. In fact party politics is even more dangerous than disease-causing germs. In party politics all the refined attributes of the human mind, such as simplicity and the spirit of service, slowly but surely get totally destroyed. Party affiliation commands more respect than individual ability; service to self, not service to people, is the main motto; ministerial office, rather than human welfare, is considered superior; and mass deception, political somersaults, etc., are most common phenomena."
"Instead of rectifying themselves, politicians want to accomplish everything through their grandiloquence. By identifying the weaknesses in others and by resorting to bombastic language, they incite one section of people against another so that they can usurp the seat of power and cling to it. Human beings will have to remain vigilant against persons of this type."
"Politicians want to poke their noses into every aspect of life: social, religious, educational, literary, etc. Under the hypnotic spell of power, politicians remain oblivious of the fact that experience and wisdom in various spheres of life cannot be acquired by merely mouthing high-sounding slogans from public platforms." Which foods cause tuberculosis & leucoderma
Ananda Marga Yogic Treatments says, "If any person is long habituated to eating badly-combined foods, such as meat, fish, eggs and similar támasika foods immediately before or after milk, kśiira [a kind of rice pudding] and similar sáttvika foods, then those foods create a favourable condition in the body for tuberculosis.” (1)
Ananda Marga Yogic Treatments says, “Constipating foods should be strictly avoided. Foods which increase the amount of pitta should also be rejected. Fish, meat, eggs, ghee and large quantities of spices usually weaken the liver and bring about constipation, which is one of the causes of leucoderma. In this disease fish and other non-vegetarian foods are very harmful, hence they are to be avoided like poison. No matter how great is the desire for non-vegetarian dishes, patients shall have to control that desire. Leafy vegetables such as heleiṋcá, gimá, ámarula, bráhmii, etc., are most beneficial for leucoderma patients." (2)

Baba, I search for You in my each and every action. Keeping Your name in my heart, I go on fighting against all difficulties and dangers in my life, whenever and wherever they arise. In this entire universe only You are most adorable for me. I perceive You in each and every thought, word, and deed. My body, mind, and heart have become one with You. My whole existence is saturated in Your ideation. It is Your krpa’.
Baba, O’ Parama Purusa with a smiling face, You always float in my vision. Please shower Your karuna on me incessantly. Whatever my needs are, You always fulfil them. You have removed all the cimmerian darkness, dogma, negativity from my mind. By Your causeless grace, You are doing everything for me.
