Trisha’stra: AM + 3 more

Baba

Trisha’stra: AM

Namaskar,

As Ananda Margiis, we should have a clear-cut idea of how Guru’s teachings are organised. And verily Baba has made everything very simple. Between the years of 1987 - 1989, in order to distinguish between His philosophical and spiritual teachings, Sadguru Baba organised His teachings into two distinct book series:
  • (a) Ananda Marga Philosophy in a Nutshell
  • (b) Ananda Marga Ideology and Way of Life

Philosophical vs spiritual treatise

As the name suggests, Ananda Marga Philosophy in a Nutshell is comprised of discourses that make up our philosophical treatise, also known as darshan shastra. For this series Baba has  gathered the discourses from the following five books: Ananda Sutram, Ananda Marga Elementary Philosophy, Idea and Ideology, Namami Krsnasundaram, and Namah Shivaya Shantaya. So those five titles are our darshan shastra or philosophical treatise.

And Ananda Marga Ideology and Way of Life is comprised of discourses that make up our spiritual treatise, or dharmashastra. And for this series Baba has gathered the discourses from the following books: Subhasita Samgraha and Ananda Vacanamrtam (to be done). So those two titles are our dharmashastra or spiritual treatise.

Conclusion

By this way it is very clear which books form the philosophical treatise of Ananda Marga scripture and which books comprise the spiritual treatise.

Publishers wrote: “The Author classified Idea and Ideology, together with Ánanda Sútram, as the darshana shástra, or philosophical treatise, of Ananda Marga.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “In our philosophical treatise, Ánanda Sútram [etc].” (2)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The recognized book on Ananda Marga Philosophy is Ánanda Sútram [etc].” (3)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The “Subháśita Saḿgraha” series of books are the scriptures of Ananda Marga ideology. The books expound in simple and [[lucid, elaborate]] and rational ways, many important aspects of Bhágavata Dharma. Upon reading this series of books, the reader will receive immense spiritual inspiration.” (4)

Ananda Marga philosophy states: "Shásanát tárayet yastu sah shástrah parikiirttitah. There is the necessity of scripture in all the four vargas of human life. The scripture which is required in the spiritual field is called dharma shástra, the treatise of spiritual injunctions, as discussed above; and Brahma in the form of guru is the controller of the scriptures. The third factor is the philosophical treatise relating to the mental world, called darshana shástra." (5)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The recognized book on Ananda Marga Philosophy is Ánanda Sútram. Usually a philosophical treatise has four main sections – (1) ontology, (2) metaphysics, (3) ethics, (4) epistemology. But in Ananda Marga philosophy two more sections, in addition to the above-mentioned four, have been added. They are (1) psychology and (2) spiritual cult. In Western philosophy there is no mention of spiritual cult, because Western philosophers had no opportunity to learn such a cult. The main reason is that in the theology prevalent in the west there is no concrete spiritual cult." (6)

Spent day and night

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart.

"A’már e gán divase nishiithe, raciáchi prabhu tava tare..." (Prabhat Samgiita #1168)

Purport:

Baba, I have spent day and night composing this special song only for You. By Your grace, all the feelings and emotions of my heart are decorated, layer by layer, in the lyrics of this tune. The affection which my I feel for You in my core is threaded and conveyed through the melodious music.

Baba, my Supreme Entity, the dawn has smiled and left Your sweetness before me. The charm of the early morning is Your exquisite beauty. The expressions of the flowers, leaves, and petals only tell me of Your tales and stories. Now I feel Your presence everywhere, by Your kindness.

Baba, the soft, gentle breeze has come to me. With its sweet, tender touch, it happily conveys Your message and tells me that You are showering Your causeless grace endlessly - pouring Your eternal, sweet, love boundlessly upon me.

Parama Purusa Baba, I surrender at Your lotus feet...

Exploited but they don’t know it

Namaskar,

These days fish justice is a common phenomenon in society. Sadly, those who are exploited the most don't even know that they are being exploited. For example, capitalists are exploiting in all spheres of life, but the common people think that those capitalists are helping them. In the US and many places, the people think that those big corporations are providing jobs, food, and stability, and are thus doing a great service to society. Yet those capitalists are doing this for their own selfish profit motive; they have no regard for the common people.

In our Proutistic outlook, we know that the entire property of the cosmos belongs to Parama Purusa, but the common people in materialistic areas think that those wealthy people are fortunate and blessed - regardless of how they acquired their riches and fortune.

How blind people think

In India, the people think that the super rich did some great virtue in their past life and that accounts for their tremendous wealth in this life. And those same commoners believe that, “I am poor because of my past misdeeds.”

The west is exporting pseudo-culture everywhere by various media. Yet naive people think that the west is helping them and they feel proud and glorified by adopting western pseudo-culture. But by that way those simple communities are being degenerated and swallowed whole by those big capitalist entities.

Conclusion

So wherever you look exploitation is going on. Yet the people are not aware. That is the sad state of affairs these days. Mass awakening is needed to turn this situation around. When people become cognizant of the presence of exploitation, then the tides will begin to turn in the right direction.

In Him,
Harideva

There are examples of fish justice. In Samskrta literature different words and analogies have been formed based on the characteristics of various creatures. The below teaching on fish justice is one such example. The main purpose is to educate the public about the inherent qualities of those animals and demonstrate how this concerns our human society. To this end, in Samskrta literature, there is an abundance of words and phrases related with the natural world, i.e. animals, birds, and various other creatures.

Here below is an English summary of Baba’s original teaching from Shabda Cayanika in Bengali:
The reign of fish is known as matsya-nya'ya (fish justice). Fish justice means a disorderly, unjust condition where the strong eat the weak. When this situation arises in our social life then we say that in society fish justice is going on. (English summary)  (1)
