From Jamalpur to whole world + 5 more

Baba

From Jamalpur to whole world

Namaskar,

We should all learn from this following Baba story.

In the early days when Baba was working in the Railway Office, Baba used to talk to His colleagues about His plans and programs for changing the humanity-at-large and the entire globe—in order to serve and help the suffering people. In particular, Baba would talk about social service projects such as children's homes, schools, medical clinics, and various other endeavours. This was all going on before He started AMPS.

Keep quiet vs tell others

Hearing this, His office colleagues were thinking, "We are too few in number. What can we do—how will we be able to do this. It is just not possible." Still other non-margii colleagues who also were not aware about who Baba is, replied, "What You are telling is very important, and we have great admiration for these ideas, but without the requisite means, it is all just talk. Theoretically, this is fine to discuss, but on the practical plane it is of no value. How will You ever do such things when You are working here."

These non-margii colleagues could not imagine how Baba would ever implement such programs, let alone establish these works around the whole globe. In reply to all this, Baba would merely say, "I am putting forth ideas, and I will continue to talk to those who come around Me. Those who are interested will carry out these works. So I will continue to talk to others—I feel that to be My moral obligation."

Here the point is that Baba Himself never gave an ounce of weight or credence to their doubts and skepticism about what is or is not possible, nor about how steep the odds are etc. Baba did not give value to their pessimism. He strictly kept to His ideological platform, principles, and vision—as well as His plan.

We know that Baba infused the needed vibration and created a vast organisation that is executing His grand plan. By this way, His projects will be established in due course. We should always keep this story in mind when confronted by obstacles in the form of naysayers etc.

No pessimism about ideology

There are many right-minded people in this world who want to do good things but they do not have ideas. So our duty is to propagate dharmic ideas, and in due course sincere and right-minded people will implement those plans. We should not think otherwise. One should never invite any type of pessimism while talking about ideology. The aim should always be lofty. How much a single individual can do on their own is one thing, but we should not lose sight of the goal. Baba's ideals are the aims of Ananda Marga pracara and all other efforts like dharma sadhana, social service projects (both temporary and permanent), Prout, Neo-humanism, schools etc.

A few pessimistic people who see only the organisational crisis may think Baba's ideals are too radical to establish in the present environment. This is their pessimistic way of thinking. But let us remember this. Before 1985, who thought that the USSR would crumble so precipitously and cease to exist. No one could imagine such a turn of events. The central notion is that we should go on propagating His divine ideals without compromise.

When we propagate Baba's teachings even non-margiis are inspired by the aims and goals. Those ideas touch their heart. In turn, they start so many organisations and movements to spread and implement those concepts.

Many great successes

We all know the story where Baba says that, "If you do not do the work then I will get it done by others—non margiis, even animals." And to some degree, this is what we see going on. On various occasions when talking about Prout, Baba simply told us to propagate the name Prout and the rest of the work will be done—even done by non-margiis.

Since AMPS started, so many Ananda Marga ideals have been propagated by others because they saw what we were doing and read about Baba's ideas. Then they started to implement those teachings too. For instance, when AMPS started in the 1950's and 60's, inter-caste marriages were firmly rejected by the society at-large. Such villagers would attack and burn our jagrtis simply because we propagated and practiced inter-caste marriages. Those villagers were absolutely livid and furious. But see the irony. The common people have since embraced inter-caste and inter-racial marriages. Now those protesting villagers are witnessing their own grandchildren engaging in inter-caste marriages. Such is the divine liila of Parama Purusa. Indeed, since those early days, many have begun following Baba's guideline and they are preaching others to do the same.

If we do not propagate or if we compromise on His teachings, then Ananda Marga ideology will be propagated by others. Thus, at the very least, in our discussions we must be firm; we must not compromise. By this way, we will sow the seed and support the cause of dharma.

Sadguru Baba says, "I am always an incorrigible optimist, because I know that optimism is life." (1)

Let this be our way—certainly then our success is assured.

At His feet,

Everything getting implemented

Thousands of years ago people dreamed of flying—we see proof of this in texts like the mythological Ramayana and those Puranas. And in due course, in the 20th century this idea came to fruition. Likewise in AMPS, we have the plan that one day our system of education, Prout, social service projects etc should come into form. If we do not plan or talk about it, then it will never happen.

Here the idea is that Parama Purusa fulfills His desire by any means. Everything and everyone is His creation. By that way, He can and will get the job done. Always His plan will be implemented—somehow, maybe even in the least likeliest of avenues. But certainly it will happen. This we must always remember: We should become a society of optimists.

When we discuss ideas on the internet, even non-margiis will pick up the topic and start propagating those concepts as evidenced by the recent growth and use of Sanskrit, plus so many other positive movements have been launched: Animal welfare movements, environmental activism, deep ecology, human rights, and the dignity of women etc.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Baba's ideas are unique and we should go on propagating them, then margiis and even non-margiis will get attracted and do the same.

If we look around it becomes quite apparent that the very ideas which Baba started propagating are getting implemented throughout the society.

Significant preparations for next phase of speed

The ideas of Ananda Marga are based on bhagavad dharma. In this day and age, some feel that it is easy to compromise and remain sloppy in following Baba's guidelines, but we should be careful. If we do not follow His teachings then a wrong tradition will be started and suffering humanity will not be benefited by the teachings of Taraka Brahma. Rather they will be led in the wrong direction. Yet it is His sublime teachings which are so highly needed for the society. So we should not be shy in propagating Ananda Marga ideals. Rather we must work hard to perfectly exemplify His rules, regulations, and guidelines.

The slippery slope—of not following Ananda Marga teachings—is easy but not safe.

Once again let us remember that we should always follow the path of optimism, and never indulge in pessimism or negativity. If our schools are not in line with and / or are compromising with Baba's educational ideals then we should raise the matter and create the necessary pressure that they should follow 100% Baba's teachings. Never should we appreciate the status quo. We should talk on the plus points and encourage everyone that one day all Baba's teachings and guidelines will be implemented. Our aim is to move in that direction—regardless of what others say or do.

We can see that many have started propagating the Saḿskrta language and now the number of Saḿskrta speakers is in the hundreds of thousands. It has been accepted and welcomed on a mass-level. That was not happening 50 years ago. Yet Baba wanted to propagate Sanskrit and now He is doing this by other organisations.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "There are some people who are pessimistic. They say that the society around us is very bleak, that it has no expression of vitality and that it seems that everyone is in a deep slumber. Pessimists say this because they have never made any detailed study of human history, nor do they care to. Had they done so, they would certainly be optimistic, because if they had looked carefully at the symptoms of pause, they would have realized that significant preparations were being made for the subsequent phase of speed. So under no circumstances should human beings be pessimistic. That is why I am always an incorrigible optimist, because I know that optimism is life." (2)

When mission is noble, victory is certain

Ananda Vanii says, "In the crimson rays of the early dawn floats the trumpet sound from the distant blue void. The call resounds: Arise, awake and waste no time in sleep. Tear off the fog of dogma and march on smashing under your feet the sky-kissing challenges of the rocky mountains. Remember that victory does not come by itself. Victory has to be invited and welcomed with sweat, the warmth of the blood and the fiery flames of hard labour. The task you have undertaken has to be brought to its consummation. When the mission is noble victory is sure to come. So do not sit inert wasting your valuable time. Be ready to give a fitting response to the clarion call of the cosmos. Be ready from this very moment."  (3)

Plagiary?

It is the accepted international standard and Baba's system not to copy another's work and publish it in your own way. Baba has given a very strict rule on plagiarism. Why is Baba against plagiarism or stealing someone's work? There are many reasons:

1) It is against the code of asteya (non-stealing).

2) Countless stories of bhaktas need to be published. But some do not want to do the hard work of compiling and writing these stories, so they just steal them from others. But new stories need to be told, otherwise so many unpublished stories of sadhakas will be lost and forgotten forever. So watch out for story thieves, and kindly help them not to steal by posting on social media in their own way. If you want to forward this story then attach the following yellow section with the story:

“Courtesy of unknown bhakta via Ananda Marga Universal (https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/)”

This will be treated as the standard protocol.

Victory of humanity

"Kánt́aye járá bharie chilo,kánt́ár gháye tárái gelo..." (Prabhat Samgiita #4756)

Purport:

Those antisocial elements, who stuck thorns on other’s path, were wounded and destroyed by those same pointy needles. Such immoralists worship matter, swindle and cheat others to accumulate material treasures, and indulge in degrading pleasures. Due to the boomerang effect, those sinners got destroyed by their own swords. Where there is dharma there is victory.

Such communist leaders and wealthy swindlers had no love or affection for anyone. They were only infatuated with the dogma of material gain. In trying to establish themselves in mundane riches and their materialistic philosophy of communism, millions of lives were lost. In the end, nothing good came out of it, only devastation. Those selfish leaders destroyed everything. They ruthlessly harmed humanity every step of the way.

The natural tendency of the human mind is to oppose sin; and the innate feeling of the human intellect is to be free. In their attempt to pulverise these two unique qualities, the demons used a steamroller to try and crush the human spirit. But ultimately those exploiters got destroyed by those very blows. And the victory of humanity and dharma was established, by the grace of Parama Purusa. The golden dawn arrived...

Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #4756:

[1] The first line of the above Prabhat Samgiita, "Ka'nt'a'y ya'r'a' bhariyechilo ka'nt'a'r gha'ye ta'ra'i gelo", describes how the immoralists destroyed themselves - by their very own blows. It was the boomerang effect. In 1982 the Propounder of PROUT delivered this following passage and within a decade all the main communist leaders were wiped away from the face of the earth.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The wickedness, the deceit, that pollutes human society first moves along a crooked path like its masters, and finally ends up by annihilating its masters themselves. The wicked persons at the helm of affairs, who are now out to liquidate others, will one day themselves be liquidated and erased from history by their own followers. Sinful persons, by following the crooked path, contaminate the atmosphere of the universe, but ultimately that sinful conduct, in a similar crooked way, will recoil like a boomerang on the sinners themselves." (1)

[2] The above song contains two English words: dogma and steamroller. Even though the entire song is in Bengali, the above two words are used in the lyrics and printed using Bengali script.

Sad tale: the “Elizabethan gait”

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "England’s Henry the Eighth was an unruly king. Once he came to Paris with the queen. In Paris many kinds of covetable drinks were available, thus when they were in Paris his desire for drink naturally increased. One day, while under the influence of liquor, he beat the queen so mercilessly that one of her legs became practically crippled. For several days she was obliged to drag it behind her as she walked. When the time came they returned to London (In those days they did not call it London but rather Londre in the aristocratic French language). The residents of the city fell head over heels in the nooks and crannies of the royal residence trying to see whether or not the king and queen had brought back any new fashions from Paris. They saw [Queen] Elizabeth dragging her leg and thought perhaps that this kind of walk was some kind of ultra-modern French style. Women have one great quality; they can easily imitate others. Thus it happened that within three to four days most of the women in the aristocratic households were dragging their leg behind them when they walked and taking a lot of pride in it. It is not written in the histories whether they ever discovered what the real story was behind the queen dragging her leg when she walked. Elizabeth’s style of walking while dragging her leg was called the “Elizabethan gait”." (1)

Tamasik gourd

Ananda Marga ideology states,

The below image is a snake gourd. In the west it is available in Asian vegetable markets and in tropical areas it readily available in the general market. But this is tamasik - so watch out. I remember one time a Wt made and mistake and purchase and ate this, and the entire day he was groggy and sleepy. Later on he was shocked to learn it was tamasik. So we should propagate this.

This will accelerate the speed of their movement

"Human beings will have to draw up all sorts of plans and programmes for the collective welfare of universal humanity. This will accelerate the speed of their movement and enable them to easily remove the thorns from the path. Obstacles are inevitable on the path of movement. In fact, in all actions, auspicious and inauspicious, obstacles arise, but the innate force lying in each thought and every action, from the cosmic perspective, provides the necessary stamina for forward movement. Let us not forget this fact." (Ananda Vanii #62)

Note 1: True Ananda Vaniis have a number whereas Fake Ananda Vaniis do not - just as a fake car license plate has no number. By this way, you can easily recognise a Fake Ananda Vanii.

No mother tongue should be suppressed

Prout philosophy states, “”For the all-round welfare and development of human beings, society needs to follow some fundamental socio-political principles. Without the firm foundation of such principles, disunity, injustice and exploitation will flourish. To avoid this and to safeguard the interests of all people, the leaders of society must ensure that cardinal socio-political principles are strictly followed. Otherwise, individual and collective progress can never be achieved.”

"There are three cardinal socio-political principles which should never be violated…..Thirdly, no mother tongue should be suppressed."

“Thirdly, no mother tongue should be suppressed. If a mother tongue is suppressed, the consequences are most dangerous. Take the example of Pakistan. When Pakistan was formed, Urdu was declared the national language. But the actual language position of undivided Pakistan – that is, East Pakistan and West Pakistan – was that 60% of the population spoke Bengali and 40% spoke Hindi, Baluchi, Punjabi or Urdu. When Urdu was declared the national language, East Pakistan revolted and this led to the division of Pakistan. There was a famous song at the time.” (1)

In this above teaching only the third socio-political principle has been addressed - the first two are: Not retrenched from their jobs and not forcibly converted to another religion.
