Baba
AM history: first initiation
Namaskar,
One of the great teachings that comes from the Shravanii Purnima festival (19 Aug 2024) is that of repentance.

“Then I was very young” of Shravanii Purnima
Here below Baba recounts the scene of that auspicious Shra'van'ii Pu'rn'ima' when He performed His first initiation.
"This is Shra'van'ii Pu'rn'ima'. It is an important day. Then I was very young, studying in Vidy'asagar College in Calcutta. One evening a very interesting event took place. Suddenly a wicked person came near me. I use the word 'wicked', but it is not a permanent state of human beings. A person who is wicked today may be a noble person tomorrow, and one who is dull or stupid today may be wise tomorrow. These are all relative matters bound by the bondages of relativity. No one can be called permanently wicked. It should always be borne in mind that one should always try to develop the good and the subtle in a wicked person."
"That evening a certain wicked person came to me. What could he expect from me? But then he came. In accordance with natural human psychology, I asked him, "What do you want? Why do you adopt this evil path?" In the course of our conversation, he realized that he should change the course of his life, and he took initiation. That was the first spiritual initiation I ever imparted to anyone. And that same day, Shra'van'ii Pu'rnima, has again returned."
"A long time has elapsed since then." (1)
Parama Purusa takes away negative samskaras
When a sadhaka feels repentance for his sins in the deep core of his heart, then grace-personified Parama Purusa takes away all those negative samskaras. Then all-loving Parama Purusa blesses that sadhaka with His unfathomable grace.

That is what happened with Kalicharanji - the first person initiated into Ananda Marga sadhana. For Kalicharanji was that person who approached Sadguru Baba that evening and took initiation into Ananda Marga tantra sadhana. With His loving countenance and all-knowing mind, Baba knew that Kalicharanji felt repentant for his misdeeds, and Baba showered His grace by bringing him onto the path of sadhana.
Your future is always bright
Here Baba reveals the importance of repentance.
Ananda Marga ideology states, "Someone might have committed a pa'taka [sin of commission], but after that wrong action feels repentance, and compensates for the harm his action caused. After such repentance and compensation, the action is no longer a sin...that person's sin has been washed away." (2)
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "If, knowingly or unknowingly, you have committed any mistake or any sin, then your repentance and your singing kiirtana, wholeheartedly, will free you from all sins. So, your future is always bright, never dark, never dark." (3)

Regarding Shra'van'ii Pu'rn'ima', one important fact remains that Baba performed the first initiation in the cemetery. So this demonstrates and foreshadows how in each and every Ananda Margii's life the cemetery has immense, practical value. Those suffering from the dogma that the cemetery is only for avadhutas or kapalikas should gain the proper understanding. Our Ananda Marga meditation is tantra sadhana and that has relevance and importance for each and every Ananda Margii. That is the special significance why the first disciple Kalicharanji was initiated in the cemetery.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The reaping of consequences of original actions performed by a human being occurs mainly in the psychic sphere. And if a person attains the blessings of evolved beings and the Cosmic grace in that same psychic sphere, the problem is solved. Pain and misery is bound to come. Depending upon one's inborn sam'ska'ras and the actions performed, tortures and afflictions are bound to be undergone - the expression of one's own samskara [reactive momenta]. Tortures and afflictions will not be as severely painful as before; with the blessing and grace, the psychic afflictions will be removed. Well, when there is pain and the pain is not felt as such, should it then be called pain? In this case, in the psychic sphere, one will remain in a state of bliss. Let the afflictions come. When the affliction and pain are not felt as such, one should not worry about it." (1)
The only way to permanently relieve oneself of any suffering is not to run after worldly allurements but rather get His divine grace. Just a tiny portion of His grace is enough to free the mind of any suffering. Then one will just be in a state of peace - bliss.
Sadhaka not feel the suffering
According to Ananda Marga philosophy, nobody can escape the reactions of their past deeds. When the all-benevolent Guru wishes then He showers His grace and the mind becomes elevated. In that state Mr X is not undergoing any suffering; but, others will see Mr X’s plight and think that Mr X is suffering. But because Mr X does not feel any pain then for him there is no suffering of that bad samskara. For bhaktas, they are in bliss by His grace whenever they have to face any bad samskara.
For example, suppose a bhakta and a non-devotee are both facing their own individual samskara and became sick with tuberculosis. Physically both are suffering. But the bhakta is not undergoing any psychic suffering. If one is not in mental agony they may remain in a blissful state. The end result is that although both are suffering from the same disease physically, but only the non-bhakta is suffering psychically. In that case the bhakta’s mind may remain ensconced in bliss.

Wicked people and sub-human creatures
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Those creatures that pulsate in the darkness of the deep sea are blind due to the darkness; and hence by natural law, just as their bodies possess the power to radiate light, so as weapons some of them possess sensitive spines, some have glandular poison jets and some have attractive voices. With the help of these, they compensate for their lack of visual perception of form-vibrations and preserve their own existence by their subtler reception of other tanmátras or vibrations."
"The capacity of an instinctively wicked person to absorb vibration differs somewhat from that of an average person. The amount of beating that might endanger the life of average people, may be easily borne by those who are instinctively wicked. Very often they remain quite unconcerned about the bleeding that pours out of their cuts and wounds – rather they feel relieved from such bleeding. Such people can also perceive the premonitory hints of nature. In other words, in such matters their ways, to some extent, correspond to those of the sub-human creatures. Yet to attain such power even a virtuous person has to perform sádhaná or spiritual practice most diligently." (1)

Maduvratnanda bewildered
Namaskar
#1: Those who are so degraded do not propagate Baba's teachings rather they find out and highlight rotten ideas from the Hindu puranas.
#2: These types of lowly people Rudrananda handpicked to run his clan.
#3: Madhuvratananda is the member of Rudrananda's clan / bootlicker fiefdom.
#4: If Madhuvratananda would have been a decent, conscientious Wt he would have propagated the gospel of neo-humanism and Baba's dharmic teachings.
#5: Look what Madhuvratananda doing - by seeing his writing you can see how lowly he is:
जब तारक ब्रह्मा साधक की इच्छा पूरी करने की स्थिति में हैं, तो राज्य को कल्पत्ता कहा जाता है।कल्पतरू प्रतीकात्मक पेड़ है, जिसके तहत आप जो कुछ भी चाहते हैं वह पूरा हो जाएगा।

Who says animals are for human enjoyment
Question: Baba is talking about which religion?
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "At one time people were told that this world is for human enjoyment only, so the existence of all the plants, of all the birds and animals, in the world is intended merely to provide objects of enjoyment for human beings. Their hopes and aspirations, their intense desire to live, their pains and pleasures, their affectionate family or community lives are simply without value. However much a baby goat may wish to live, the main consideration is how much meat that kid carries on its frame. This defective philosophy has made people ruthlessly violent – even more dangerous than blood-thirsty tigers. Tigers kill only to fill their stomachs, to preserve their physical existence; whereas human beings kill animals mostly out of greed. Generally people have resorted to hypocrisy to camouflage this instinct of greed; they have killed animals on the pretext of pleasing the gods, while actually their main motive in doing so was to please their own tongues. These are all the inevitable results of such defective philosophies." (1)
Answer: Baba is talking about the Semitic religions. This is done by the semitic religions, i.e. Islam, Judaism, Christianity. The theology of these religions claims said that all the animals are for human consumption and enjoyment. These animals do not have their own independent existential value. Humans can keep or kill them according to their desire. Animals have no intrinsic value or right to exist on their own. According to their theology, God created animals for human use and desire.

Increasing spiritual unfoldment of human beings
"Those entities in whom psychic and intellectual powers are looked upon as more gorgeous than the physical ones are called humans – predominantly mental beings. Hence, to bring about the real well-being of humanity, greater attention has to be paid to the psychic and intellectual expressions of human beings, for that will lead to perfect spiritual composure and all-round fulfilment in human life.'
'Competition in the realm of physical pabula may bring satisfaction in material enjoyment, but it leads human beings far, far away from inner tranquillity. It is true that to give emphasis to existential security of human beings food, clothes, accommodation, education and medical care are absolutely necessary. Accepting these requirements as indispensable needs for living beings, you will have to move forward. But remember that while giving utmost importance to these requirements, human characteristics should not be even slightly neglected under any circumstances. You must also remember that the physical expressions of life and the increasing spiritual unfoldment of human beings are not antithetical, rather they are complementary to one another in the task of establishing a great ideology.'
'So keep moving, enlighten humanity with crimson rays, and make your existence meaningful and effulgent. Move on, move on." (Ananda Vanii #73)
Note 1: True Ananda Vaniis have a number whereas Fake Ananda Vaniis do not - just as a fake car license plate has no number. By this way, you can easily recognise a Fake Ananda Vanii.
