Doomsday?

Sadguru Baba completely dispels the myth of doomsday. Yet, it is very
sad to see how various believers get completely drowned by this dogma -
and in the following case the parents killed themselves and their
children. Tragically, in this way one family succumbed to the false
belief that the world is going to end, i.e. doomsday theory. Here below
Sadguru Baba completely dispels this myth of doomsday.
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "Some philosophers, quoting the
scriptures, say that a day of final doom will darken the Earth when the
dead will rise from the grave. Others predict that a doomsday (pralayá
in Saḿskrta – “pra” means “complete” and thus pralaya means “complete
destruction”) will obliterate all forms of life. One should laugh at
such illogical doctrines. According to Ánanda Márga philosophy, this
doomsday or pralaya will never occur. On the one hand, the flow of
creation will continue and on the other, there will be jadasphota
[gradual or instantaneous disintegration]. There will never be a
complete thermal death. of the universe. Thus, predictions of an
imminent doomsday should be of no concern to you. It is nonsense;
pralaya will never occur." (1)

Utah parents, fearing apocalypse killed themselves
~ Courtesy of US News & World Report ~SPRINGVILLE, Utah – A Utah couple and their three children who were found dead in their home last fall overdosed on drugs after the parents told friends and family they were worried about the apocalypse, authorities said Tuesday.Police also found old letters written by the mother to a Utah inmate serving time for killing family members in the name of God, slayings chronicled in the 2003 Jon Krakauer book "Under the Banner of Heaven."Benjamin and Kristi Strack and three of their four children -- ages 11, 12 and 14 -- were found dead in September in a locked bedroom of their Springville home. All five were in a bed, with the kids tucked into the covers around their parents.At a news conference Tuesday, Springville Police Chief J. Scott Finlayson said investigators have concluded their probe and determined the family members died from drug toxicity from either methadone, heroin or a combination of drugs, including those found in cold medicine....Police said Benson wrote a goodbye letter, leaving some of his belongings to his best friend. The only other recent writing the family left behind was a notebook containing handwritten to-do lists about feeding the pets and other chores.Finlayson said interviews with people who knew the Stracks indicated the parents were worried about evil in the world and wanted to escape from "impending doom.""There seemed to be a concern about a pending apocalypse that the parents bought into," Finlayson said.During their investigation, police found years-old letters between Kristi Strack and Dan Lafferty, who is serving a life sentence after being convicted of committing a double-murder with his brother Ron. Religious revelation sanctioning the slayings
~ Courtesy of Washington Post ~"Under the Banner of Heaven" is about members of an offshoot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, told through the true story of the Laffertys' crimes. The two killed their brother's wife and 15-month old daughter.Ron Lafferty was condemned to death for the July 1984 slayings of his sister-in-law, Brenda Lafferty, and her baby in American Fork. He claimed to have had a religious revelation sanctioning the slayings because of the victim's resistance to his beliefs in polygamy.Investigators said Kristi Strack was deeply interested in the case and struck up a friendship with Dan Lafferty."It was almost like he talked to her like one of his children," Lt. David Caron said. She and her husband both became close to him, and he had directed his remains to go to them after his death. They hadn't talked to him since 2008 and investigators do not believe the couple's beliefs came from Dan Lafferty, police Cpl. Greg Turnbow said."Looking back, the connection to Dan Lafferty was a troubling sign about the couple's mental state, he said.The Stracks' older son and the children's grandmother found the bodies Sept. 27, according to search warrants. The older son was Kristi Strack's child from a previous marriage.Police found cups with liquid inside next to each of the bodies and a child's sand bucket behind a door with traces of the same combination of methadone and cold medication that was found in their systems.Police believe that Benjamin Strack died last because he was the only member of the family who wasn't underneath the bed covers.In a recording of the 911 call released Tuesday, family friend Maureen Ledbetter tells the dispatcher about the deaths as grandmother Valerie Sudweeks screams in the background.Springville is a city of about 30,000 near Provo, about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City. ~ Courtesy of CNN ~The mysterious deaths of five Utah family members in their Springville home baffled authorities at first....But why would a family do this?According to a statement released by J. Scott Finlayson, chief of police for Springville, the parents had bought into "a concern about a pending apocalypse.">From interviews with friends and relatives of the Strack family, the statement said, "it became fairly apparent that the topic of 'leaving' this world was a fairly common theme."It added, "While some friends thought that suicide may have been, or could have been included in their plans, others believed they were going to move somewhere and live off the grid."Tragically, the parents chose the former option, police believe, and took their children with them. Purport:
O’ Parama Purusa, this sweet relation of ours is eternal. Since ages and ages we have been together. How long this intimate link between You and I has been going on, nobody knows; only You know. In the very beginning You were all alone - there was no one for You to love, and nobody to love You. So You created this expansive liila. In that way the jiivas sing and chant Your glory, and You shower Your grace and love the bhaktas. This intense closeness between unit and Cosmic is known to all. You also know and accept this very fact.
There is such a loving feeling and affectionate tenderness between the bhakta and their Lord. At any cost, the jiivatma cannot remain without the Cosmic Entity. And in absence of the unit, the Cosmic Entity cannot exist either. The sweetness and beauty is due to both - the sadhaka and the Supreme One. They are loving the each other. Then why are You remaining distant and far away from me. Why are You not allowing me to come near. You know that both the individual and Supreme merge together to become one, then why do you not accept this very truth.
Baba, You are omnipresent. You exist in all the lokas; You are beyond the lokas; and You are in the astral world; You are everywhere. You are present in the rhythmic expression, divine horripilation, and bliss - each and every moment. You are hiding in my Guru cakra; You are playing Your divine liila with my mind. I want to be with You; why are You not allowing me. In spite of hearing and knowing my mental thoughts and feelings - the tale of my heart - alas, You do not listen.
Baba, please give me shelter at Your lotus feet...
Note: The above Prabhat Samgiita reveals how Parama Purusa created this grand universe to have the company of His devotees. The song further
expresses how the bhakta cannot live without Parama Purusa and that Parama Purusa cannot exist without His devotees. So both are mutually depending upon each other; and in their own way both are thinking that the other is something very great - superior. This is part and parcel of the wonderful message of the above Prabhat Samgiita. And this same unique idea is beautifully explained in this below excerpt:
Ananda Marga ideology says, "When there were no devotees, God had no name -- He was nameless. When there came to be devotees, then God became named God. I was saying in Delhi that the fight between God and devotees is an old fight, a sweet fight. And what is that fight? God says to devotees, 'It is you who are superior. Because of you, I have been named. Had it not been for you, who would have called me by the name of God? Even if I was God, I was not 'God'. Because of you, I have become God.' And devotees say, 'You are the base of my life. In Your absence, the existence of my life becomes jeopardized. You have created, and You alone are the base.' Devotees consider God to be superior, and vice versa. This fight to make the other superior has no end." (1)

About Prout revolution
Prout philosophy states, “If, in the history of human struggle, the role
of the vipras [intellectual exploiters] is one of parasitic dependence
on others, I cannot find words to describe the role of the vaeshyas
[wealthy exploiters]. Both the vipras [religious exploiters] and the
vaeshyas exploit society, but the vipra exploiters are not as terrible
as the vaeshya exploiters. The vaeshyas are like a deadly parasite on
the tree of society which tries to kill the tree by sucking dry all its
vital sap. But if the tree dies, the parasite will also die. The vaeshya
parasites understand this and therefore try to ensure the survival of
society by making some donations; they build temples, mosques, churches
and pilgrims’ inns, give little bonuses, feed the poor; etc. Calamity
only comes when they lose their common sense out of excessive greed and
try to suck society completely dry. Once the social body falls
unconscious, the vaeshyas will die along with the rest of the body.
Otherwise, before allowing themselves to die, the exploited shúdras
[toiling mass], kśatriyas [warriors] and vipras [intellectuals] can
unite to destroy the vaeshyas [wealthy exploiters]. This is the rule.”

भावार्थ
हे परमपुरुष! तुम प्रेम स्वरूप हो। तुम सदैव कृपालु हो। अंधेरे और दुखी हृदय में तुम दिव्य प्रकाश हो। तुम मेरे हृदय की मिठास हो। तुम हृदय के आनन्द हो। तुम अपनी अनन्त कृपा से अंधेरे को हटा देते हो। हे मेरे प्रभु! तुम सबके हृदय को भक्ति भाव से प्रकाशित कर देते हो। अनुपजाऊ सूखे मरुस्थल जैसे हृदय में तुम भक्ति अमृत की वर्षा कर उसे सुमधुर सुगंधित हरियाली में बदल देते हो। बाबा तुम सब कुछ कर सकते हो। तुम सदैव कृपालु हो, तुमने अपनी अहेतुकी कृपा से सूखे हृदय को भक्ति और प्रेम से छलका दिया है।
हे परम सत्ता! तुम्हारे अलौकिक छत्ते के नीचे सभी आश्रय पाते हैं सूखी लता, और बिखरी फूलों की कलियों को, तुम अपने प्रेमस्पर्श से मधुर बना देते हो । और पौधे तथा हरियाली जिन्होंने ग्रीष्म के कारण अपनी सुंदरता खो दी है उन्हें अपनी कृपा से ठंडी ताजी वयारि प्रदान करते हो। तुम अपने प्रेम और आनन्दायी उपस्थिति से सब के दुखों और कष्टों को दूर कर देते हो। और जो जीवन से निराश हो चुके हैं, जिनके पास निवेदन करने के लिये शब्द और भाषा नहीं है, उनके लिये निकटतम प्रियतम बन कर हृदय में बस जाते हो। जिनके पास आगे बढ़ने का सामर्थ्य नहीं , दबे कुचले और हताश हैं, तुम अपनी कृपा से उनके हृदय, अमृत से भर देते हो। बाबा! तुम सब के साथी और शुभचिंतक हो, और आवश्यकता के समय अपनी दिव्य करुणा से सब की मदद करते हो।
हे परमपुरुष बाबा! तुम ही सर्वाधिक कृपालु हो। पातकी और महापातकी, पतित और भ्रष्ट सभी तुम्हारी कृपा चाहते हैं, क्योंकि वे जानते हैं कि तुम उन्हें बचा लोगे। यही कारण है कि केवल भक्त ही नहीं पापी भी तुम्हारी ओर दौड़ते है, सभी तुम्ही में आश्रय पाते हैं। बाबा! तुम किसी से भी घृणा नहीं करते, चाहे वे भयंकर महापापी ही क्यों न हों। बाबा, जाने अन्जाने सभी अपने मन में तुम्हारे आशीष की चाह छिपाये दौड़ रहे हैं। जिस प्रकार मधुमक्खियाॅं , मधु प्राप्त हो सकने वाले रास्ते की खोज कर उस ओर भागती हैं, उसी प्रकार भक्त भी तुम्हारी ओर भागते हैं । हे दिव्य! हे बाबा! तुम मधुर से भी मधुरतम हो,m और सभी सुखों और आनन्द के धाम हो | ए मेरे प्यारे ! तुम महान से भी महानतम हो।
टिप्पणी-(1 ) ‘नाशो कालो‘:- नाशो का शाब्दिक अर्थ है नष्ट करना और कालो अर्थात् अंधेरा। इसका अर्थ वैसा ही है जैसा गुरुपूजा के दूसरे पद में कहा गया है ‘‘ अज्ञान तिमिरान्धस्य, ज्ञानान्जन शलाकया‘‘ अज्ञान के अंधकार को ज्ञान रूपी अंजन की मरहम लगाकर हटा देना। बाबा कहते हैं कि आॅंखों में जिस प्रकार सुरमा लगाने के लिये शलाका का उपयोग किया जाता है उसी प्रकार गुरु को भी आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान का सुरमा आंखों में लगाना पड़ता है, क्योंकि सभी साॅंसारिक इकाइयाॅं, उन्हीं के अभिन्न अंग होते हुए भी, अज्ञान के अंधकार के कारण यह सब भूले रहते हैं।
(2) ‘महापातकी‘ :- बाबा कहते हैं, पाप क्या है? जो नहीं करना चाहिये वह करने पर पाप होता है, जो करना चाहिये वह नहीं करने पर प्रत्यवाय होता है, पाप और प्रत्यवाय का संयुक्त नाम पातक है। पातकी अपने पापों से मुक्त हो सकता है यदि वह आध्यात्म के रास्ते पर चलने लगे। जिसने किसी की शारीरिक या मानसिक क्षति स्थायी रूप से की, उसे अतिपातकी कहते हैं | इससे बड़ा होता है महापातकी, जिसके पाप पुनःपौनिक, बारम्बार होनेवाले प्रकृति के होते हैं। अतिपातकी अपने पापों से मुक्त हो सकता है यदि वह अपनी सब सुख सुविधाओं का त्याग कर जनकल्याण में लग जाये | पर महापातकी को अपना पूरा जीवन त्याग कर मानव सेवा करते हुए, कोई ऐसा स्थायी कार्य करना पड़ेगा, जिससे लोगों का स्थायी रूपसे भला होता रहे।
