Our role as pracarakas + 4 more

Baba
Our role as pracarakas

Namaskar,

Some in our unit were involved in teaching others about Ananda Marga guidelines like yama and niyama etc. Then a Wt intervened and stated that we should not do this as we were "not qualified." So that raises the question: Should we start teaching others about Ananda Marga yama and niyama etc only when we get moksa, i.e. perfection?
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

In dharmacakra, some think that after meditation then only a Wt should read and explain a few paragraphs of svadhyaya from Ananda Vacanamrtam like yama and niyama etc. Yet, it could happen that a Wt may be less familiar with a topic but will speak about it anyway, while there may be a margii present who knows far more on that subject. But the margii is overlooked because some think that only those in Wt dress should speak to others about Sadguru Baba's teachings. A few dadas feel that this is their due honour: Since they have the dress then only they can speak before others. This dogma has been brought into Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha from the various religions.

Religious dogma & AMPS

Who does not know that in the black pages of history before the invention of the printing press, the Bible was not allowed to be copied and given to anyone. The common people did not have access to it at all. Finally, when the printing press came along the pope did not permit the Bible to be printed and distributed. This went on for some time. And still today there are strict regulations about the Koran (Quran) and the superiority of Arabic whereby those who want to know about it must consult a mullah. This is the way they keep their dogma intact. Similarly, in AMPS, some think that our scriptures should only be read and explained by acaryas. This is the dogma they want to impose.

Yet, on this point, Ananda Marga ideology is extremely different from the dogmatic religions. Baba has blessed us with a revolutionary approach where all have the moral duty to teach yama and niyama, dharma etc. Unfortunately, a few Dadas feel that only they should talk about dharma, i.e. yama and niyama etc. They want everyone to listen to them. That is what their ego tells them. So they feel threatened if a margii sincerely engages in talks about Ananda Marga philosophy with others. But again, Baba's guideline is clear and pointed: Every initiated person in AMPS must teach others about our Ananda Marga way of life. Of course, it is the sole duty of tattvikas and acaryas to teach meditation. But that is not the subject here.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

No bar: all can guide

It is the duty of each and every Ananda Margii to start teaching others about Ananda Marga philosophy. Even the day a person is initiated they can start doing pracara with others. Here is the support from Baba's teachings:

(A) SIXTEEN POINTS: It is the duty of every Ananda Margii to follow 16 Points and embedded within 16 Points is service or seva. As we all know there are 4 types of seva in Ananda Marga philosophy: shudrocita seva, ksatriyocita seva, vaeshyocita seva, and viprocita seva. And Baba guides us that we, i.e. all margiis, are to perform all four types of seva, including viprocita seva, which includes guiding others about the ideals of Ananda Marga.

Duty: all must do viprocita sevá (intellectual service)

Ananda Marga ideology says, "We can give joy to Parama Puruśa by serving His creations – human beings, animals and plants – and this service will be the best application of neo-humanism. This service can be done in four ways – viprocita sevá (intellectual service), kśatriyocita sevá (service of courage), vaeshyocita sevá (economic service) and shudrocita sevá (manual service). None of these is inferior: we cannot ignore any one of them. People should render service according to their capacity. Those who like intellectual service, can do that; those who like manual service, can do so. But it will be best if all the four types are performed." (1)

In His above teaching, Baba clearly tells that everyone, new and senior margiis alike, is to engage in all kinds of seva including teaching others about Ananda Marga philosophy and lifestyle. Everyone should do this according to their capacity. That means even a newly initiated margii can and should teach the general public about kiirtan, or yama and niyama etc. To the degree one is properly aware about Baba's guidelines and tenets is the degree to which a sadhaka should teach others. Then they will be performing seva and following 16 Points. So this should be our approach.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

What Baba tells to do

(B) THE ANANDA MARGA MISSION: Self-realisation & selfless service - concerns each and every Ananda Margii.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Átmamokśárthaḿ jagaddhitáya ca – “Whatever one is to do one is to do for átmamokśa – for his own liberation – and for the elevation of the entire world, elevation of the entire human society.” One is to do both these things." (2)

Here again Baba is directing each and every person in the AMPS to perform service - i.e. helping to care for and elevate all beings. Upon entering into Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha, everyone must do this from day 1. Baba does not say that one should do sadhana for ten years, or after getting perfection, i.e. moksa, then one should start doing service. Rather from the very beginning every margii is to do sadhana and perform service by explaining the ideals of dharma to others. So here Baba is guiding us that every Ananda Margii must do Ananda Marga pracara and explain the tenets of Ananda Marga to others.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

(C) IN ORDER TO GET MUKTI: In our Supreme Command too Baba tells each and every Ananda Margii to teach others about dharma and inspire them onto the path of spirituality.

The Supreme Command says, "...It is the bounden duty of every Ananda Margii to endeavor to bring all to the path of bliss. Verily is this a part and parcel of sadhana, to lead others along the path of righteousness." (3)

By Baba's teaching in the Supreme Command, it is clear that all margiis, young or old, male or female etc, must embark on teaching others about Ananda Marga ideals.

Conclusion

So it is important to educate oneself about Ananda Marga ideals and consult Baba's discourses by reading Ananda Marga books. And side by side one should practice and teach others.

Every Ananda Margii should be eager and ready to teach Baba's gospel to any and all who are interested. And those who are not interested, we should try and inspire them. Here the culminating idea is that all should teach. At the same time one should know their own personal limits and continue to prepare oneself and expand the boundaries of what you can teach. Baba certainly wants for everyone to teach yet it should be done thoughtfully keeping the above parameters in mind.

~ In-depth study ~

In the dogmatic religions they mandate how lay / family people cannot teach the tenets. In Christianity only the priest can do; in Islam, only the mullah can do; and in an array of dogmatic religions only the pundits can do. They are the only ones to speak the gospel of their religion, not the common people. So Ananda Marga ideology is unique. Baba says that all can and should do. Unfortunately, a few Wts want to introduce religious dogmas into our Ananda Marga society by stating that only the priest class can guide others. They just want to "copy & paste" such dogmas into our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha.

If you or anyone in your unit is sincerely teaching others about Ananda Marga philosophy and a Dada tells you that you are "too new", or "not senior enough", or "not smart enough" etc, then just inform that Wt that Baba's guideline is that, "As an Ananda Margii, it is my duty to perform all four sevas each and every day and that includes teaching others about Ananda Marga ideology, according to the level of my own knowledge base."

Wts / avadhutas cannot give any lame excuse and prohibit any margii, new or old, from guiding others on spiritual life and Ananda Marga ideals.

Dos & don'ts for guiding others

Now that it is clear that it is the duty of every Ananda Margii, family margiis and wholetimers, to perform service and teach others about the philosophy and ideals of Ananda Marga, there are a few easy points to keep in mind.

1) One should not teach others about the lessons of sadhana if one is not qualified. This applies both to margiis and Wts.

2) One should not teach aspects of Ananda Marga philosophy that they themselves are not adequately familiar with. If one does this then two negative results will arise. Firstly, one will spread faulty explanations and confuse others; and secondly, the person you are trying to teach will lose faith in you. This applies to all, i.e. Wts & margiis: If you are not qualified or informed on a particular topic then do not teach that subject. Rather, if you do, you will get exposed as the person you were trying to teach will tell everyone that you are bogus. To overcome this problem one must prepare oneself and in that process teach what you know, not more than that.

Remember in this day and age whatever topic you are teaching can easily be confirmed via the internet. And if they find out you were wrong on a point then your whole position is in question. For instance, one political leader running for prime minister of India spoke something that was historically wrong, so he had to apologise because everyone could easily verify this point. Earlier this was not the case, but now with technology it is so. In result, this candidate was shamed; indeed now every politician is very careful. Similarly for Ananda Margiis, first be properly versed on the topic and then teach it - not otherwise. This applies to all, i.e. Wts and margiis. If a Wt is telling something false to margiis, they will quickly be exposed. Those old days are done whereby there was no means for the people to investigate and get the facts.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

3) Naturally, each and every Ananda Margii knows something about Ananda Marga ideals. It may be even the most basic of principles or something complex; regardless, what you know you should teach those ideas to others. That is how society grows.

How this dogma started

In those days of old, what to speak of not allowing the common people to teach the philosophy, they would not even allow the common people to learn it. If general citizens came in contact with those teachings they would be tortured and shunned - i.e. scarred for life. That was the way those dogmatic religions operated - and still today that is their modus operandi.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "These [common] people were deprived of the right to study the Vedas. The Antyaja Shúdras, if they even heard the Vedic chants, or the controlling Vedic mantra aum, or the “Savitr Rk” mantra, would be committing a great sin and molten lead would be poured into their ears so that their hearing would be destroyed forever. Nor were women, however educated, allowed to hear such sacred chants." (4)

They feel that mantras or prayers can only be solemnized when they are recited by priests etc. According to bhagavad dharma, there is no 3rd person between the bhakta and God, but in such religions, the priest / mullah etc is the so-called intermediary. Here, the point is that, in the dogmatic religions, only the priest is able to pass on religious knowledge, not anyone else.

In the various religions, only select leaders are authorised to explain their religious texts etc. One must be a mullah, or priest, or reverend, or rabbi, or minister, or cleric, or pundit, or some other religious official. There is no scope for the common people to openly guide others about their holy books. One must be a recognised or ordained delegate of that religion.

Summary: call to action

Should we wait until we have been on the path 10 years before teaching Ananda Marga philosophy to others; or should we wait until we become a wholetimer before guiding others about the Ananda Vacanamrtam series of books? When can a general margii start teaching others about Ananda Marga philosophy? When should a margii begin teaching the guidelines of Ananda Marga ideology?

Through His guidelines of Sixteen Points, by His mission statement (Átmamokśárthaḿ jagaddhitáya ca), and by the Supreme Command, it is quite clear that every Ananda Margii should teach others about Ananda Marga ideals from the very beginning. To delay this is to go against Guru's teachings. No one should have any complex about this nor should this point be shrouded in confusion. All are to teach others about the principles of Ananda Marga.

Even a new margii can teach our kiirtan mantra to anyone. We can teach them to sing internally or externally.

Always watching me

“Tumi kato liila’ jano…” (Prabhat Samgiita #0311)

Purport:

Parama Purusa Baba, You know how to play a grand variety of cosmic liilas. You play so many types of divine dramas. To spiritually intoxicate my mind, You play a gamut of supreme plays with me. Sometimes You make me cry, and other times You make me laugh. Baba, You shower Your exquisite blessing in countless ways.

My nearest Entity,  Baba, there is nothing that can remain hidden from You. You know and see everything. In each action You exist; You are always there. Without Your grace nothing can happen. You are present in every work. Whatever I do, wherever I go, You are there - watching. Nothing can be done secretly. In Your unfathomable play - liila khela - the whole universe is dancing at Your feet.

Baba, You flood the world with Your smile and laughter, as well as with torrential tears of joy. You shower rays of happiness upon all, and side by side You witness the troubles and torments people undergo. My Supreme Guide, Baba, I love You, knowingly and unknowingly. Your songs of love flow throughout this cosmos.

Parama Purusa Baba, You know how to play a variety of liilas….

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #0311:

[1] Liila': In this universe there are innumerable events taking place. When we know the cause of a particular event then that is kriida. And when the cause is not known then it is liila. If the cause was initially not known, and later on becomes known, then that event becomes kriida. Thus as one's knowledge increases - and more and more events can be rationally explained - then for that person the scope of kriida is increased.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "There is a subtle difference between liilá and kriid́a. When the cause of an effect is easily discernible it is called kriid́a, but when the cause is unknown and only the effect is easily discernible it is called liilá." (1)

So-called saint

Ananda Marga Philosophy, “There is still another sentiment – human sentiment. Many persons were born in the past who shed copious tears for suffering humanity. But strangely enough, after their eloquent speeches were over, they sat down comfortably at a dinner table and treated themselves to a delicious meal of hilsa and kaimách fish – as if those fish had not suffered pain and death. This human sentiment has expressly violated the interests of non-human creatures, but its proponents have found nothing wrong with it.”
“Once I read in a certain book that a great saint used to live only on locusts dipped in honey. That saint did not seriously consider that those little locusts also had vital life force throbbing in them.” (1)

Quiz: What is the name of the "great" saint who used to live only on locusts dipped in honey??

ANSWER:

St John the Baptist

Now John wore a garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey.--Bible

Story: He cares for all His children + 5 more

    Baba

Story: He cares for all His children

    Namaskar,

As we all know, Sadguru Baba has blessed humanity in countless ways. The below story is just one of many wherein Baba has showered His grace and made the impossible a reality, transforming a seemingly unsolvable problem into a joyous solution.

    Baba enroute to DMC

One time during the 1960's, Baba was waiting in the railway station to catch the train. PA was there, as well as some local margiis.
    https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

While Baba was seated there, a small boy of 5 or 6 years of age approached Him. Baba noticed the young boy and said, "What is your name?"

There was no reply from the young boy so Baba repeated His question. The boy's parents - who were not margiis - were nearby, watching closely, and they said, "Our boy does not speak at all. Up till now in his life, he has not uttered even one word."

Baba replied, "Oh, your boy does not speak at all? Really? I think he does speak."

The parents did not say anything; they just shook their heads and watched.

    Baba showers His blessing

Then Baba graciously leaned forward and gently touched the young boy's throat, directly at the vishuddha cakra. Then Baba asked the boy again, "What is your name?"

Upon hearing the question, to everyone's utter amazement, the little boy responded. It was the first time in his entire life that he had spoken. No one had ever heard him speak before. Everyone present was astonished and in a state of utter disbelief and awe over what had just transpired. The boy's parents were shedding tears of joy. They could not believe that their young son, who had been unable to speak a single word, was now speaking. The margiis present were also amazed.
    https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

    Ignited a new bhajan

Those margiis present began singing the bhajan: "With God's grace even the dumb start speaking."

Here is that song in Hindi, "Andha' dekhe gu'nga' bole..."

The overall meaning of the song is: Parama Purusa can shower His causeless grace and grant sight to the blind and speech to the dumb; Parama Purusa is grace Personified, there is nothing that He cannot do. He can do everything - making the impossible a reality.

The above song is representative of the outlook of the general population. People and believers of various faiths think that God gives voice to the voiceless and enables those who are crippled to scale high mountains. Due to His grace, anything can happen. However, in response to this, Baba has said it only looks like those who are healthy and able-bodied are doing everything on their own power and ability. Without the grace of Parama Purusa, they will have no strength. Without His grace, no one can do anything. Nothing in this creation can even exist without His grace. So it is wrong to say that He only graces the infirm. Rather, He graces everyone, always.
    https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

    Baba loves & graces all

The above story stands as one glorious moment wherein Baba blessed one boy and granted him the ability to speak. Some may say it was a miracle - some may not. As Ananda Ma'rgiis, we do not think of miracles; all we know is that with His infinite and magnificent grace and love, Baba can do anything. This also shows that Baba is gracious upon margiis and non-margiis alike. All are His children, and He watches for the welfare and prosperity of everyone.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "All the microcosms are part and parcel of Parama Purus'a: all are His progeny, His dear children...He cannot want His sons and daughters to undergo pains and troubles; rather He wants them to progress physically, mentally, and spiritually." (1)

Beloved Baba can do anything and everything, including make the dumb speak, as in the case of the young boy in this story.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "It is said, “Mu'kam' karoti va'ca'lam' paungam' launghayate girim.” With the help of mundane objects, a dumb person will never become fully eloquent, and a lame person will never be able to climb a mountain. However, with the grace of Parama Purus'a, the dumb will speak and the lame will scale mountains. If one asks Parama Purus'a for strength one may get or may not get some. But one should not make any such demands. One should not ask, “Oh Parama Purus'a, please give me this and that.” By ideating on Him one may get everything. What is important is His grace which may come whether you ask for it or not. His grace is all important, and that is why it is said, “Mukam' karoti va'ca'lam' paungam' launghayate girim.” (2)

    Namaskar,
    In Him,
    Madhukar

Parama Purusa is omnipotent, by definition, because everything resides within Him, and this entire cosmological order is His thought projection. Those eight occult powers are obtainedby the power of cult. Yet, as Parama Purusa, all those powers are already within Him, intrinsically. He does not have to do anything to gain those powers. So occult powers have nothing to do with Parama Purusa. The occult powers are only related with unit beings who by their sadhana temporarily gain one or more of the occult powers via sadhana and His grace. But for Parama Purusa, inherently all those powers, and so much more, permanently reside within Him.
    https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

    Baba's divine vibration

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "Utilizing the vibrations created for eternal time by Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji through januspharsha and varabhaya mudras, take yourself and the entire universe ahead along the path of welfare. Omn Shanti!" (3)

Note: One time during the 1960's, Baba was waiting in the Buxar railway station to catch the train to Lucknow (UP) to hold DMC; i.e. Dharma Maha Cakra. That morning, all-knowing Baba completed His breakfast and was sitting in the waiting room of the Buxar railway station. PA was there, as well as some local margiis.

    Plagiary?

It is the accepted international standard and Baba's system not to copy another's work and publish it in your own way. Baba has given a very strict rule on plagiarism. Why is Baba against plagiarism or stealing someone's work? There are many reasons:

    1) It is against the code of asteya (non-stealing).

    2) Countless stories of bhaktas need to be published. But some do not want to do the hard work of compiling and writing these stories, so they just steal them from others. But new stories need to be told, otherwise so many unpublished stories of sadhakas will be lost and forgotten forever. So watch out for story thieves, and kindly help them not to steal by posting on social media in their own way. If you want to forward this story then attach the following yellow section with the story:

    Saturated with my love

"Paráń bhare barań kari, eso áji ámár ghare..." (Prabhat Samgiita #0438)

    Purport:

O’ my Parama Purusa, please come in my mental abode, my Guru Cakra. I want to receive You up to my heart’s full content. After getting You, I will gaze upon You to my full satisfaction - until my soul is satiated. Baba, by Your grace, I will hold both of Your lotus feet, and always keep You in my core.

O’ Parama Purusa, in hopes of making You mine, my own, I have arranged a basket filled with flowers and fruits to receive You. And it has been saturated with all my  love. In the corner of my mind, full of sweetness, I want to have You forever.

O’ Parama Purusa, Baba, today please sit in the lotus of my heart. I am calling You with shravana, manana, and niddidhyasana. This yearning has been hidden in the depths of my being for such a long time. All the while I have been waiting for You. Please fulfil that desire by coming to me. Kindly, fulfill my longing, which has been in the deep corner of my inner self since ages. …

O’ Parama Purusa, Baba, today, when You bless me that desire will be quenched forever….

    Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #0438

[1] Shravan, Manan, & Niddhidhyasana: Here below Ananda Marga ideology explains the special import of these three devotional practices.

Ananda  Marga ideology says, "To attain Him human beings have to take recourse to shravana (constantly hearing His name), manana (constantly ideating on Him) and nididya'sana (constantly meditating on Him). The Supreme Entity is Gurha, that is, He is lying hidden in the innermost recess of the human entity. To attain Him one must penetrate deep within oneself, and for that the development of an introversial outlook is essential." (1)

Meaning of donation to acarya’s family

    Namaskar,

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “The best service to the ácárya is to work for the comfort and benefit of one’s ácárya and his/her family.” (1)

    Right application of this teaching

Here is the meaning of the above guideline from Caryacarya:

    (a) The point about “service to one’s acarya” is only applicable if the family acarya is still on duty.

    (b) If a family acarya is doing extensive pracara work whereby his laokik family is lacking funds for their basic needs, then it is the duty of those initiated by that family acarya to come forward and help.

    (c) For example, if a family acarya was earning RS5000 per month to support his family, but then becomes so involved in his dharmic work that his monthly income is reduced to RS1000 per month, then the diiksa bhai of that family acarya should come to the aid of that family acarya’s family.

    (d) Not all margiis of the globe are to donate to the family of that family acarya - only those sadhakas who were initiated by that family acarya.

How some are misusing this teaching

Unfortunately, some opportunists are trying to misguide others about this teaching in the following ways:

    (a) Some are giving the false justification that, “As I am the grandson of a family acarya, who died 20 or 40 years ago, everyone should help me financially.”

    (b) If the family acarya died long back, and today his 50-year-old grandson is proclaiming that everyone should give him money because his grandfather was a family acarya, then that has no value. Rather, this is a deceptive and devious manipulation of the guideline from Caryacarya.

    (c) If the acarya is no longer active or died long back, then one should not continue to financially support that family acarya’s family for generations. Rather, those family members need to make their own way in this world, and not become a liability or leech on the rest of the society.

    (d) If a family acarya becomes defunct or died long back, it does not mean that all the relations and ensuing generations of that family acarya should be given a lifetime living stipend. Rather they should learn to stand up on their own two feet and become contributing, responsible members of society.

    (e) Remember, not all margiis of the globe are to donate to the family of that family acarya - only those sadhakas who were initiated by that family acarya. For someone today to stand on the podium and appeal for all Ananda Margiis of the sector to give him money because his grandfather was a family acarya, then that is a deceptive and devious manipulation of the guideline from Caryacarya.

    (f) The idea that one is privileged because their father or grandfather was a family acarya smacks of the supremacy of the caste system where people think they are better or more entitled due to their birth or family lineage etc. Countless brahmins suffer from this sort of defective outlook, i.e. psychic disease. In our Ananda Marga, we are to eradicate that type of caste dogma that one’s birth (family lineage) is the measure of one’s worth or privilege.

    Conclusion

For all these above reasons, no one should be moved or stirred by the proclamations of a few selfish people who feel they are deserving of big money donations because their father or grandfather was a family acarya long, long ago. Giving money to such persons means contravening Baba’s teaching of Caryacarya.

    In Him,
    Virat’a

    Spirituality is everything

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Without spiritual ideals true morality based on universal love cannot be awakened. Unless God is accepted as the creator of all, human fraternity is impossible since God’s authority as the universal father is denied. Only spiritual ideals and spiritual desires can lead humanity onto the path of well-being. Universalism, cosmic ideation and cosmic bliss, unlike the material objects composed of the five fundamental factors, are not limited. Therefore, humanity should be inspired to move on the path of spirituality, or else nothing worthwhile will be achieved.” (1)

    Uniqueness of this Veda

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Although the Rgveda is mainly concerned with hymns, it also contains various tales and anecdotes. While not all of these stories and tales carry equal spiritual value, they are representative of the cultural heritage of those ancient humans. They paint a portrait of the gradual advancement of human thinking and the structure of society. When considered from this point of view, the language, literature and expression of the Rgveda is of special value to the world." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “We can roughly say that civilization first started sprouting after the prehistoric age of the human race, that is, from the days of the first composition of the Rk Veda, about 15,000 years ago. A major change took place during the days of Lord Shiva towards the end of the Rk Vedian period (which lasted 10,000 years). (2)

Raising a hue & cry or just remain involved in mundane, constructive jobs

Please pay attention to the yellow highlighted words. In this below quote, Baba is warning us that top capitalists are mercilessly exploiting people in various ways. Those aware of this fact have the duty to tell others by word of mouth, writing letters, sending emails, printing newspapers, and writing essays or books, etc. There are all kinds of ways to educate society.

So long as the common mass is not aware about how they are getting exploited, they will never be able to recover. That is why our duty is to make them aware. If we ignore this and go on building roads and schools, and do and not tell about exploitation that will be a serious blunder. It is similar to a being busy in constructive works like furnishing a house, when that house itself is on fire. In that case decorating and furnishing that house will be foolish. Rather, when the house is burning there is just one thing to do - make a hue and cry and inform everyone.

Similarly in our Marga - when various types of exploitation are going on - then being busy in constructing buildings and roads is not enough. A hue and cry is needed. In that case, one should write letters or inform others about the injustices and exploitation in any of the various aforesaid ways.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Make people aware of how capitalists, in their singular or collective roles, exploit society and create unhealthy, artificial demands which not only poison the mind but encourage dangerous habits detrimental to psychic sanctity and expansion. The first and foremost duty of psycho-economics is to wage a tireless fight against all degenerating and dehumanizing economic trends in society.”
“The second branch of psycho-economy develops and enhances the psychic pabula of the individual and collective minds. This branch is virtually unknown today, but it will become an extremely important branch of economics in the future. It will ensure equilibrium and equipoise in all levels of the economy. It will find new and creative solutions to economic problems to nurture the maximum utilization of psychic and spiritual potentialities. Psycho-economics will add to the glaring glamour of economics.” (1)

How to make link with Cosmic Entity

Commonly people think of themselves as weak and isolated. That is because in that moment they do not have a connection with Parama Purusa in their mind. So they cannot draw divine energy from Parama Purusa. The moment one starts thinking about Him and makes a connection with Parama Purusa then they become very strong. This can be felt and tested when facing tough situations or when confronting someone strong than yourself - such as when surrounded by a bunch of thugs. Then certainly those negative, anti-social elements will be defeated and victory will be attained. The connection is very simple - just repeated your ista mantra and you will be linked with Parama Purusa.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "However little one's capacity might be, if one constantly remembers that Parama Purus'a is always with him, that they are in the closest contact with Parama Purus'a, they will be able to do everything. They are not as small as they think themselves to be. And as long as they remember this closest association with Him, they can do much more than ordinary human beings. When this idea becomes permanently established in their minds, they become great. This is why no one should be disappointed or depressed in any circumstances; let everyone constantly perform great deeds, remembering that the flow of their capacity is coming from Parama Purus'a, and thus they can do everything."
