A life based on bhakti has no parallel, and while His vibration is with us always, the sweet reminiscences of our time on this earth with Baba hold special value.
Remembrances full of bhakti
Who can forget those blissful days when bhaktas were seated at Lord Parama Purusa Baba's lotus feet and we were all singing with deep, deep bhakti. Such spiritually stirring remembrances can never leave me, nor do I feel those are days bygone. The mere recollection invites a whole new tidal wave of blissful feelings, by His grace.

While in His divine presence, Parama Purusa Baba especially blessed us with those bhajans charged with bhakti, kiirtana, and Prabhat Samgiita; they were and remain a tremendous boon for all bhaktas across our entire world. The remembrances of those who were there brings a unique snapshot of history as they depict the deeply loving scene of how our bhaktas used to sing in front of Baba and what type of vibration was created, by His krpa.
Bhaktas would congregate for general darshan or DMC etc, and all were wholly charged and saturated with divine love. Baba was just showering His infinite love incessantly. Whether one was there or not, still this same experience is available to all by His mercy. Omnipresent Parama Purusa Baba showers His ever-flowing love upon all who sing with sincere bhakti.
How special life was in Baba's presence, and today also margiis and workers who never had the opportunity to see Baba physically experience this same bliss. So our remembrances stand as a special record of opportunity of how things were those days - of the divine resonance of those days - plus new and old sadhakas alike can still experience His spiritual magnetic attraction. Baba's unfathomable care knows no bounds.
One should sincerely request His grace
When in His presence, it was His divine liila that sometimes He would shower His compassion whereby effortlessly a scene of hari pari manda was created, i.e. an environment ensconced in bhakti where all were spiritually, magnetically drawn to His exquisite self, by His grace. Getting a sweet glimpse of that occasion holds great historical value for all bhaktas, and reminds us that nowadays also that same spiritual experience is available to all sadhakas. Just one should sincerely request His krpa.

We know that just by remembering His sweet touch, then every sadhaka will naturally gravitate and run towards Him, as it will awaken and kindle one's spiritual yearning.
Today also, with Parama Purusa all-encompassing presence, everyone will get a surge of bhakti by sincerely singing kiirtan. Still today Baba is showering His unending grace so this is not a remembrance of the past but a veritable avenue for feeling His sweet touch in this present moment, and far into the future also.
That special quality of bhakti unique to songs
And in His discourses, Baba beautifully describes this phenomenon of singing with bhakti: In that case He transfers His cosmic nucleus to that very spot. That is the magical spiritual reaction that happens. And still to this very day, this is the case. Parama Purusa places His nucleus wherever the bhaktas sing His name.
So these days when we sing our Prabhat Samgiita or when we sing our kiirtan, then naturally, He graciously brings Himself to that very place and creates a spiritually charged environment. It is not that this only happened in the past and now those days are gone. Still today, this is the sweet result that occurs when bhaktas sincerely sing His name.

That blissful flow can descend even today
All in all, gathering with other bhaktas and singing and dancing kiirtana inculcates that divine resonance and touches the inner core of the heart. When in front of Baba, sadhakas would forget about all of life's difficulties and troubles, and with one pointed bhakti they would get swept up into His blissful flow. That unique vibration has been felt pervasively in Ananda Marga. And still that blissful feeling is available to all, by His kindness. So everyone should be vigilant to participate in all kinds of bhakti programs where people gather to sing kiirtana.

Nectar & the vishuddha chakra
Here is the spiritual science behind this expression: From the vishuddha cakra, nectar (amrta) emanates. This is part of the bhakti science of Ananda Marga. When the mind is elevated, then by Baba's grace a sweet vibration is created in the throat, which is controlled by the vishuddha cakra. Then all the words and sound waves emitted by the throat are very sweet and loving. That is what happens when one ideates on Him and sings with a lot of bhakti. It is like nectar. In contrast, if the mind is in a debased state, then poison (vis) is emitted. But, on occasions full of bhakti, when one sings with deep bhakti, then nectar (amrta) emanates.
And if you listen to any bhajan sung with sincere bhakti for the Supreme Entity, you will find this happening just like so many other times when bhaktas were singing in front of Baba, such as during His visits to Ananda Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, South America, Philippines, Tamil Nadu, Europe or wherever. By His mercy, by His showering of love, wherever He was He would attract bhaktas then naturally those bhaktas would sing with deep bhakti for the Supreme Entity.

Dry studio recordings
These days various artists often go into the studio to record kiirtans etc and sometimes their minds are more involved with the sound of their own voice or the quality of their music etc. Because of this the overall quality of bhakti is less. It is a common outcome, unfortunately.
Whereas when bhaktas gather en mass and sing His name then there are no feelings of self - only they are thinking of Him. And that makes those live kiirtans very loving and full of bhakti for Parama Purusa. And it is this spirit and vibration that is so readily captured on the bhajan (“Baba Teri Mahima…”) of that DMC in Mumbai in 1971. That is why I wanted to share this with you.
So when in the studio those recording artists must take special care to take a strong ideation when making a professional recording.

Vibration goes beyond language
Ours is a global community and bhajans are generally sung in one's mother tongue. Yet due to Baba's divine presence, the blissful waves and spiritual vibration touches all. Whether one is singing in Hindi, Tagalog, English, German, Oriya, or Spanish, the bhakti vibration shines forth. It is His grace. Plus, in many songs one will hear the bhaktas sing the name 'Baba', as that is often one of the lyrics of the song. So even if one does not understand the language of a particular bhajan, any bhakta will easily be able to soak up the bhakti- feeling of that scene.

Madbhakta' yatra ga'yante tatra tis't'ha'mi na'rada
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Where bhaktas sing my name, there alone I remain. I transfer my nucleus to that place... I transfer my nucleus to the place where my bhaktas sing my name. Why? Because in bhaktas there is upsurge (ucchava'sa) and emotion (a'vega). With the help of that emotion, I radiate vibrations in the universe." (1)
Hari Pari Mańd́ala

Ananda Marga ideology says, “In the scriptures and kiirtanas the word “Haripari mańd́ala” is often mentioned. You know that for a bhakta, the dearest entity is Parama Puruśa or Hari as He is the only entity in this universe which lasts for eternity. Parama Puruśa alone remains with humans until the end; all other entities are finite, limited. Only Hari and Harikathá [discussion about Parama Puruśa] are endless. That is why intelligent people should establish a relationship of deep love with the Infinite Entity.”
“Hari is an internal entity, residing in the innermost core of everyone’s heart. Be it the heart of a bird, a fool, a scholar, a good person or a bad person, Hari’s throne is there. He only considers one thing – whether that heart has love and bhakti. Suppose a certain person commits so many sins; rather, is totally immersed in the ocean of sin: Hari resides even in such a sinner’s heart and will reside there in the future, too. He will examine that heart to see how much love and bhakti there is.”
“Whenever the bhaktas of Hari assemble together they do not like to gossip, but prefer to do Hari kiirtana, and nothing else. Whoever comes within the circumference of that spiritual gathering will certainly feel an irresistible desire to participate in that spiritual dance. The sweet spiritual environment created by the kiirtana is called Hariparimańd́ala in the scriptures. Hari resides at its nucleus.”
“Those in the Hariparimańd́ala are by nature bhaktas. When they participate in the kiirtana they become even more [involved in] bhakti. Whenever Hariparimańd́ala is created, be it for five minutes, three hours or twenty-four hours, due to the intense collective bhakti, the environment becomes so sweet and blissful that it becomes highly congenial for spiritual ideation (dhyána). At that time Hari moves His nucleus there and becomes the focal point of dhyána, the object of ideation.”
“From the point of view bhakti, it is certainly Hariparimańd́ala, and from Hari’s point of view it is also Hariparimańd́ala. As these two viewpoints coincide at one point, every spiritual aspirant enjoys endless bliss. Thus it is said, “Bhaktih bhaktasya jiivanam”. Just as a fish cannot live without [[water, a human being cannot live without]]the earth, and a bird cannot live without the sky, a bhakta cannot live without bhakti. Without Hari the very existence of a bhakta is endangered. If bhaktas are estranged from Hari, or separated from bhakti, they become as miserable as a fish out of water.”
“The worst calamity that can befall a bhakta is to be separated from bhakti. Those who try to deprive people of bhakti, who tried in the past, and will try in the future, certainly invite their own destruction. Hari never wants to harm anyone, nor do His bhaktas. However, if an individual or a force tries to disturb the Hariparimańd́ala of the bhakta, or will try to do so in the future, they will certainly meet their destruction; it is a natural law. It is not at all necessary to harbour any thought of others’ destruction. Destruction comes as a matter of course.” (2)
Our duty
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “He has given you your organs. Utilize them for Him. With your voice sing His name, His praise, His kiirtana. With your mind think of Him. One who does not do this wastes one’s life. And where people have only human frame but not human mind, tell them this [aforesaid] message. Go to village after village, town after town. This is your duty." (3)
By Baba's grace, now as well as back then, when we sing and dance with full sincerity and bhakti, then He shifts nucleus to that very place and showers His fathomless love. So we should all be eager to do more and more kiirtan and Prabhat Samgiita and realise His special presence in our life.

Recipe for success - 3
Namaskar,
Every human being wants to be successful. Who does not want to be successful? Whether in the realm of art, law, medicine, schooling, business, literature, science, or architecture - or any other field or endeavor - everyone wants to be successful. Knowing how to be successful then is an important recipe.
Baba has graciously given us His special guidelines wherein He explains how the 'Seven Secrets of Success' apply not just to spiritual life, but to worldly life as well. Here we examine the third secret of success: gurupújanam.
Gurupújanam (Guru puja): In spiritual life, Baba guides us that this means surrendering to the will of the Guru. Then one can serve and attain Him. And in worldly life this point of Guru Puja has great importance: It means having respect or reverence for one's teacher. Yet, in the modern world, there are so many loopholes and so much rampant hypocrisy that students and citizens alike lose respect for their teachers and leaders. Either their teachers punish them unduly or their teachers preach some ideal such as abstinence or non-smoking, when they themselves are indulged in that. Likewise, various social leaders preach noble values yet they themselves are caught up in scandalous affairs. This is a daily occurrence, and this undermines one's ability to get success. Because one loses faith in their teacher or societal leader, in which case they cannot learn from them.
Baba has blessed us all with great teachings which lead us to success, including how to utilize the Seven Secrets of Success in our worldly endeavours. So we should pay heed to this doctrine not just in spiritual life but in all our worldly dealings as well.
Baba says, "You, boys and girls, should remember the points and do accordingly. It will help you in your all-around success." (Ananda Vacanamrtam - 14, Seven Secrets)

Link between dog & fox
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The Alsatian dogs are close relatives of foxes.”
“Although a fox belongs to the dog family, its relation with the dog is very remote. In spite of some similarity between a dog and a jackal in appearance, there is a wide gulf of difference in their natures.”
“The dog has been a companion of human beings since ancient times. History tells us that dogs have been of use and continue to be of use to people in different ways in their prosperity as well as in their adversity. In the scriptures, a dog has sometimes been shown respect by presenting it as a symbol of dharma. Of course, there is no dearth of people who are opposed to dogs. In northern India some people say: “Only one who is a dog himself maintains a dog.”” (1)
