Each and every margii knows the importance of practising sadhana on a daily basis so that we can move along the path of spirituality and reach our goal i.e, attain Parama Purusa. And even more fortunate are those who learn sadhana in childhood as the following story explains.

Baba story about a young sadhaka


Ananda Marga ideology says, "Once a child named Dhruva started doing sadhana and singing bhajanas at the early age of five. This scared the eminent rsis and munis. They thought that this young boy would surpass them in spiritual excellence. So, as devotees, they all implored Narayana to save them from being defeated and humiliated. Narayana sent Narada to resolve the issue. So Narada came to the boy Dhruva and tried to allure him with toys, sweets, a kingdom, and things of that sort. He inquired why the boy was so enthusiastic about sadhana and bhajanas at such an early age, especially when he had a whole lifetime at his disposal for spiritual pursuits. 

Dhruva replied,
Kaomara acaret prajinah dharman
Dhgavataniha Durlabham manusam janma tadapyadhruvamarthadam

"'O Narada! You are a sage, you know much more than I do. Yet I wish to mention, in order to clarify things, that we get a human form after numerous animal lives.' 'Sukrataer manavo bhutva.' This human life is attained through the medium of lots of clash and cohesion. Of all creatures' existence, this human existence is the most rare. But even rarer is the human body that has been perfected through sadhana..."    

"Dhruva further said, 'Narada, who knows what will happen tomorrow? You have become old and you got the opportunity to do sadhana and sing bhajanas at this age. But in my life, the sun may or may not rise tomorrow. Suppose I die tonight? So how can I wait till old age?'"

"Then Narada went away silently."

"'Dharman Bhagavataniha,' Dhruva said. Everyone should try to become established in Bhagavata Dharma in childhood." (1)

Sadhana: centerpiece of life


From this story, we can realize the importance of learning sadhana in childhood so that our whole lives can be infused with spirituality. As Dhruva says, why should we wait until old age to pursue spirituality as death can come at any time. So those who learn sadhana in childhood are truly blessed. And verily, whenever one enters onto the path of sadhana, they should make it the centerpiece of their life. And one should not delay in getting all the lessons of sadhana and practicing them diligently.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Human life is short. It is wise to get all the instructions regarding sádhaná as soon as possible.” (2)

Ista mantra & realization


In our AM sadhana system, each and every ista mantra has two parts, or two syllables, and is coordinated with one’s breathing. The first syllable is repeated during the inhalation, and the second is repeated during the exhalation. And in each and every Ista mantra, the second syllable, i.e. the exhalation, is related with Godhood or Brahma bhava-- not one's unit 'I’ feeling. During sadhana, one gains realization primarily on the exhalation. 

Ensconced in the Supreme


It is well known that people do not die while inhaling, but rather when exhaling. At the time of death, one performs their final exhalation and does not inhale again. In that case, no matter when death arrives, when one's final exhalation occurs, one is imbibed in ideation of the Supreme as they repeat the 2nd syllable of their Ista mantra. Therefore, at the time of death every Ananda Margii will certainly be ensconced in Brahma.

Conclusion

Sadhana, mantra japa (repetition), and breathing are key elements in the life of every sadhaka. We should be very particular to know the meaning of our mantra and repeat it during each and every breath. By sincere and regular sadhana, that ideation will remain with us through every respiration, day or night. Then one’s life is truly blessed. 

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Now this japa is adjusted to your breathing, inhalation and exhalation. So if you practise it properly what will happen? Even while sleeping, automatically this japa kriyá will go on in accordance with your respiration – in accordance with your inhalation and exhalation. So while asleep you can do this thing. This is called ajapájapa. That is, there is no special endeavour from your side – the japa goes on automatically. Thus during the night you can also do puńya. Kuru puńyam ahorátram – “For all the twenty-four hours you can do puńya.”" (3)

Note: In select circumstances, the mantra itself is repeated in reverse sequence in order to gain the proper ideation, i.e. so that the ideation of Brahmahood is linked with the 2nd syllable, upon exhalation. Importance of breathing


One of the most integral aspects of sadhana is breathing. 

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "One's life is determined on the basis of a few pulsations, and these pulsations depend on a specific number of inhalations and exhalations. The number of such inhalations and exhalations-- on an average, from twenty-one thousand to twenty-five thousand per day-- varies from person to person. The process of breathing has a great influence on the human mind and self, or soul." (4)

As Baba guides us, breathing is an intrinsic part of human life-- it is something we do 21,000 to 25,000 times per day, and this has a tremendous influence on our quality of mind and ability to dive deeper in sadhana.

You filled the gentle breeze with the intoxicating and aromatic fragrance of sandalwood. The sweet scent of sandalwood is even emanating from Your body. Your presence has transformed everything.

Now, because of You, the mystical sound of omnkara resonates incessantly in my mind and heart. Every iota of my  being is vibrated by that subtle and enchanting sound. With the octaves of the seven worlds, You made me dance to the rhythm and melody of the cosmos. It is Your grace.

O’ my Dearmost, my restless heart does not want to leave You ever, rather it wants more and more of Your magnetic closeness. I feel that You are an integral part of my existence. Without You, I cannot survive. O’ Liilá Puruśa, with the divine play of Your Liila, You smeared the nectar of love in my mind and fully captivated my entire being. O’ Supreme Entity, I belong to You and You alone…

In our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha, the term 'bhakti' is well-known and commonly used in our daily talks and interactions. Sadhakas say things like, “That person has a lot of bhakti”, or “Bhakti is the greatest attribution”, or “I only follow the path of bhakti” etc. At the same time, a few others mistakenly think, “I am an acarya so I must have a lot of bhakti”, while others contemplate, “I hold a high post so I have a lot of bhakti.” Let’s take a moment to reflect on what is real bhakti, especially since it is only bhakti that can lead us to our cherished Goal.

Bhakti or attachment


Baba guides us that bhakti means having the mind directed only towards God, and not towards any other object or desire.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Bhakti means to withdraw one’s attractions from all objects and channelize them towards Parama Purus'a. When the unit self is associated with the cosmic it is called “bhakti” or “devotion”, but when it is associated with the mundane it is called “attachment”. You must withdraw your mental propensities from all external objects – no matter what they might be – and channelize them only towards Parama Purus'a. Only when you direct them towards Him, can it be called bhakti. If you allow your mind to become fascinated by any other object, it is called “a'sakti” or “attachment”." (1)

So no external qualification or mundane desire has even one iota to do with bhakti. If anyone thinks, “I am an acarya so therefore I am a bhakta”, or if one thinks, “I organise many service projects so I must be a great bhakta”, this is all nothing but self-befoolery. Because using external things to build a case for one's internal amount of bhakti is meaningless.

The operative phrase in the above quote is, "only towards Parama Purus'a." If the mind is goaded only towards Parama Purusa, then it is bhakti. That is the real meaning of bhakti. If one's mind is only involved in serving and pleasing Parama Purusa. That means in the external sphere, we should engage in worldly activities for pleasing Him, and not out of our own unit desire for worldly prestige etc.

Bhakti & a'sakti cannot co-exist


As Baba points out, if the mind is separately or simultaneously involved in any other longing then it is known as a'sakti or attachment, i.e. the path of degradation.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "When the attraction is for the non-integral entity, for money, for family, for land, it is called ka'ma; when it is for integral entity it is called prema and the mental tendency during ka'ma i.e., the mental tendency during attraction for a non-integral entity is called a'sakti in Sam'skrta and the mental tendency during attraction for that Integral Entity is called bhakti. (2)

The basic equation is: the degree to which we are attracted by or infatuated with money, name, fame, respect, position, is the degree to which we are off the path of bhakti. Bhakti, then, is a very pure and internal desire to attain Parama Purusa. And for this tremendous honesty and love are needed. We may be able to masquerade ourselves in front of others so they think we are great bhaktas; but we cannot fool Parama Purusa in this way. He sees our innermost desire and knows how far we have pure bhakti or not.

The main thing we should keep in mind is that bhakti (love for God) and a'sakti (mundane longing) are mutually exclusive; they cannot co-exist. The degree to which we harbour one is the degree to which we are remiss in the other.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "The attachment for a finite thing is an expression of extroverted energy, whereas the attraction for the Infinite is an expression of the introverted energy. That is why these two can never co-exist." (3)

Bhakta: his son & love

Here Baba guides us that true bhaktas look upon one and all, even our intimate relations, as the expression of Parama Purusa. That means that Parama Purusa has come in various forms, including as our family members. 

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "Do you love your son? No, no you don’t love your son. You love Brahma in the form of your son. By loving your son as a son, you cannot love the Lord. Where there is the feeling of son, there is no Lord and where there is the Lord, there is no son." (4)

Those who are true bhakas look upon each and every entity as the manifestation of the Supreme Entity. 

All in all, there are three general grades of sadhakas. Those in the top most category love only Parama Purusa, and view all as Parama Purusa in various forms. Then one is truly established in bhakti. Second is when one loves Parama Purusa sometimes, and on other occasions harbours love towards mundane entities. In that case, bhakti is polluted. The lowest phase one prays for something mundane in their ritualistic worship of the Supreme. This crude approach is asakti and must be avoided entirely.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "If a man wants to become a devotee of the lord but in the mind of his mind, if he thinks that God will make him pass his examination – here the esana (longing) is not one but two...When something is demanded from God the esana becomes two. Hence the time is completely wasted...When the esana (longing) is not [only] for Paramatman but [also] for something else, it is known as asakti (attachment) and not bhakti." (5)

We should all keep the mind fully focused on Parama Purusa and not any second or third desire or goal.

Bhakti is the best path


Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Being merged in the constant thought of God is devotion. Devotion is not related to the chanting of hymns or ritualistic worship with different paraphernalia. (6)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "The meaning of the word bhakti is “attraction to the Supreme”. When the attraction is to something limited, it is called a'sakti, and when the attraction is to the Supreme, it is devotion, bhakti. There is no compromise, no meeting point, between a'sakti and bhakti, between attraction to the Supreme and attraction to the objects of the world. In a'sakti, the feeling is that I get the object. In bhakti, the feeling is that I merge myself in Him. Where there is no desire, there the Lord lives. The Lord and the desire for the world, like the sun and the night, cannot coexist." (7)

Conclusion


Bhakti is something purely internal and is not related with any external qualification like post or power. Bhakti is one’s heartfelt love for the Supreme Entity. And the degree to which that comprises one’s mental make-up is the degree to which they are a true bhakta. Conversely, those who harbour desires of worldly gains - whether that be money, name, or fame etc - are on the path of asakti. Bhakti and asaki cannot coexist. So every sadhaka should be keenly aware of what desire they are cultivating in the mind and ensure that their longing is goaded unto Parama Purusa, and not anything mundane.

Bhakti versus a'sakti

Ananda Marga ideology states, "In philosophical terms the attraction for finite objects is called a'sakti and the attraction for the infinite is Bhakti. Ra'ga or rakti means both the attraction for the infinite and attraction for the finite objects." (8)

Ananda Marga ideology says, "One may have attachment towards physical objects as well as towards Parama Purus'a. The attachment to physicality is called a'sakti or vis'aya'nurakti, while the deep attachment to Parama Purusa is called para'nurakti or bhakti." (9)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "The meaning of the word “para'nurakti” should be considered. Rakti denotes raga or attachment. Anurakti means maintaining attachment with or being attracted by a particular entity after having understood its meaning. Anurakti is of two kinds. The anurakti for the Supreme Brahma or Infinite Cosmic Consciousness is para'nurakti. The Anurakti for Brahma under the sway of prakrti or the anurakti for the crude manifestations is termed apara'nurakti. God is an object for para'nurakti. When the aspirant considers the Supreme Brahma to be his own, it is termed bhajana' or bhakti." (10)

How do everything & become bhakta


One should not get caught up in the misconception or dogma that, “To become a true bhakta I should give up my sons, or renounce my parents, or become some type of hermit etc.” Rather, we have been given various responsibilities, and they are to be managed. As we know, performing worldly duties is not antithetical to the path of bhakti. It is only when we get infatuated by those worldly expressions that it infringes on our bhakti experience. So that is what we must be careful about.

Sadguru Baba guides us that we must view all as the manifestation of Parama Purusa. That is the way to live in this world without sacrificing our spiritual longing for Him.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "The ascription of divinity to objects means the pursuit of the Infinite, leaving the finite behind. Are you feeding your son? No, no, you are feeding the son-like manifestation of Brahma. Are you tilling the field? No, no you are serving the finite manifestation of Brahma with your plough. Really speaking, the ascription of divinity to objects precludes their material enjoyment, as the objects then merge in the non-material Supreme Brahma." (11)

Seeing all as He means seeing all as an opportunity to do service, not satisfy worldly passions such as post, power, lust etc. Thinking of making more money, garnering huge respect, is asakti. Only by truly following brahmacarya, are we perfectly consonant with the path of bhakti.

Overflowing with exuberance

“Nandan van manthan kari, candan madhu ániáchi…” (Prabhat Samgiita #0320)

Purport: 

O’ Parama Purusa, after churning the forest garden of paradise, I have brought the nectar of sandalwood exclusively for You. I smeared and glazed it with the pollen of the parijat flower to enhance its fragrance and beauty. Baba, I am pouring and emptying the nectar of my heart for You. I love You so much. 

O lord, At that time, the sweet fragrance of the jasmine flower was saturating the humid breeze into the far distant sky. The whole atmosphere was ensconced in that wonderful aroma. Baba, my mental lotus was completely vibrated and overflowing with exuberance, blossoming in its full glory. Sitting alone amidst that spiritually intoxicating ambience, I have threaded a garland for You.

In that moment, the groves of palm trees were swaying between the light and shade, and scores of bumble-bees assembled. To wholeheartedly welcome You, swarms and swarms of bees were congregating and buzzing on that sandalwood and cuá, with one-pointed interest in You. Sitting amidst that ambience, fully ensconced in Your thought, I composed some songs for You.

Baba, Your divine presence vibrates every being and touches the innermost core of my heart…

Why religions are poisonous

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "To stifle the progress of humanity, the followers of these religions play on human sentiments and other weaknesses. They want to perpetuate the hold of the vested interests by infusing an inferiority complex into the human mind. While preaching their religious ideas, some claim that the social, economic and political systems were direct creations of God and hence destined to be observed in all ages and all times with equal veneration. They pronounce that those who refuse to follow this divine decree will be doomed to burn in the scorching heat of God’s wrath, or dammed to suffer eternal hell-fire. To deny people the scope of verifying the rationality of different scriptures they declare that such-and-such scriptures are infallible and so nobody has the right to question their veracity. If the philosophical texts contradict the scriptures, then their propounders will be declared as atheists." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Through nityánitya viveka, human beings become aware of the fleeting nature of transient objects. They observe that with change in time, place and person, corresponding changes occur in social, political, economic, and all other spheres of life take to which they have to adapt themselves. Those who are reluctant to adapt themselves to the changed circumstances are doomed to destruction. A religion or an “ism” is created in a certain age which itself is a product of the three factors of time, place and person. However, the religion does not recognize the necessity of adjustment with the change in social life. It refuses to realize that the old rules and regulations of the previous age are now only mere historical records, having lost their relevance in the present dynamic society." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology says, "So it is seen that in the absence of nityánitya viveka the propounders of religion want to thwart the intellectual progress of human society at large. They knowingly refuse to understand that any observation regarding the spatial, temporal and personal factors, from whatever person it might come, is bound to lose its relevance in a transformed situation." They should never be misguided 

“To love Parama Puruśa and the creation is the only Dharma of spiritual aspirants. They should never be misguided by any sentiment of caste, creed or language and they should never tolerate any sense of discrimination.” (Ananda Vanii #17)

Note 1: True Ananda Vaniis have a number whereas Fake Ananda Vaniis do not - just as a fake car license plate has no number. By this way, you can easily recognise a Fake Ananda Vanii.

History of human medicines: Liquid remedies

   Ananda Marga Shabda Cayanika states, "Through their experience, people found that in certain diseases the patient's vitality diminishes. In these cases, the medicines are effective when they have some alcoholic properties; so they fermented them to prepare different kinds of remedies. These medicines, which are prepared through fermentation, are called medicinal ásava (“elixirs”– ásava means alcohol, for example, wine). In cases where the alcoholic properties of the medicines were necessary, but where the medicine would have a contrary effect if the negative effects of the alcohol were not removed, they altered their qualities rather than keep them in the form of ásava. They gave the name “medicinal ariśt́a” to such medicines; for example, drákśáriśt́a, dasamuláriśt́a."
   "It was found in the case of certain medicinal herbs and plants that if they were boiled in water and their essences extracted, then their medicinal qualities were greater than in their raw state. This essence is called kváth; for example, catechu kváth, ashvagandhá kváth and various others. People began to use these kváthas as medicines. The kvátha that is produced by boiling different medicinal herbs and plants together is generally known as páṋcan in Bengali." (1)

When Tom saw a burglar break into and enter a neighbour’s house, then immediately Tom told his friend Harry to call the authorities. Tom thought that it was their duty to take action and stop the thief by alerting the police. But Harry was reluctant and replied, “Why bother calling the police - there is no need - God will do. It is His duty and He will take care of everything; we need not do anything.” This was Harry’s reply to the burglary of the neighbour’s house.

But some time later, Tom and Harry noticed that a thief was breaking into Harry's house. Harry saw this unfolding before his very eyes and cried out, “Call the police, that guy is trying to loot my home.” Then Tom mockingly responded, “There is no need to call the police, God will do.”

Bhaktas fight against exploitation

In the above examples, it is evident Harry is a cowardly and hypocritical person. Harry's whole approach is based on selfishness. When a thief tries to steal from someone else then Harry pays no mind and says, "God will do." But when a thief attempts to steal from Harry, then out of his own selfishness, Harry cries out, "Call the police, a thief is robbing my home.” Such is Harry's duplicitous behaviour.

Unfortunately, in our own AMPS, when problems arise, then some cowards raise the slogan, “Baba will do - so no need to worry about those issues.” But such persons are using the phrase - “Baba will do” - to camouflage and hide their real colour. They are cowards.

Fake bhakta is coward


But, as noted above, some pseudo-sadhakas do not have the requisite bhakti to surrender to the Supreme, just they hypocritically comment, “Parama Purusa will do.” To cover up their cowardly demeanour, they say, “No need to do anything, just sit still, God will do.” For them, this phrase - “Baba will do” - is an excuse or alibi for not doing anything at all. So their approach is not based on any true spiritual realisation - rather it is antithetical to spirituality and dharma. But if a thief were to try and rob them personally, then they would immediately take action. They would not remain idle and say, “God will do.” So their approach is not based on surrender but rather selfishness.

Guided by their neo-humanistic love, true bhaktas feel that all are part and parcel of one singular human family. So when bhaktas see unjust leaders exploiting and hurting the common people, immediately those bhaktas spring into action and oppose that wrongdoing. This is the intrinsic quality of every bhakta. As those bhaktas are ever-ensconced in the grand ideation of Parama Purusa, they will always get more strength and courage to maintain their dharmic campaign. By His grace, through their sadhana they gain greater and still greater energy, open the eyes of the common people, and wage a ceaseless fight against injustice - knocking down those exploiters and bringing welfare to all. By such qualities of courage and valour, bhaktas are easily recognisable.

True bhaktas are not goody-goodies


Here Baba again clearly differentiates between goody-goodies and the real dharmikas or bhaktas.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "We cannot call people 'good' if they cannot lead people of all walks of life towards welfare. We can call them 'goody-goodies' but not good people. Those who are truly good people will move bravely forward and provide inspiration and strength to those mute masses to fight against all kinds of obstacles, and give a clarion call to them to march ahead." (1)

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "The characteristic of good people is to fight against injustice, to firmly adhere to truth and righteousness, to protect the helpless and fight against all evil persons. Those who are merely simple and are of a meek and goody-goody nature are not good people." (2)


Conclusion

The true nature of bhaktas is to stand tall in the face of exploitation. Bhaktas will always be the first ones to awaken the common masses and point out the wrongs in society, exposing selfish exploiters. As Baba’s disciples, our duty is to wipe away all injustices from this earth and usher in that brilliant pure era of peace and vitality.

Ananda Vanii says, "Those who can dedicate their all to the thought of the Great and the inspiration of the Supreme are verily the most heroic. Indeed, they are the virtuous, and they alone are capable of taking human history from darkness to light." (3)

When your own person is dishonest it is more dangerous

Here is an English summary of Sadguru Baba’s Hindi teaching from EGD 25 November 1978 Mumbai:

If our own person, family member, or anyone deviates from the truth or is lacking sincerity, oppose them. Do not tolerate them. It does not matter if they are our own family member. If our own person is dishonest and insincere then they are more dangerous. Why? If a snake is living outside the house in the wild it is dangerous, but if that snake enters inside the house then it is more dangerous. Therefore they [our close persons] should be opposed more strongly.

In His above guideline Baba explains that bad elements in society are dangerous, but bad elements inside your house - inside your organisation - are more dangerous. Show of fake surrender in AMPS


When exploitation rears its ugly head in our AMPS, some hypocritically say, “Just remain quiet, there is no need to do anything, Baba will manage the situation and take care of everything.” This is how some pseudo and cowardly persons respond. Yet this is what is known as fake surrender or hypocrisy in prapatti vada, i.e. fake surrender theory. To hide and cover-up their cowardliness, they proclaim, “Let Baba do.” But if a criminal broke into that cowardly person's own house, then that same individual - motivated by their own selfishness - would immediately call for help. They would not sit idle and say, “God will do.” So their approach is not based on surrender but rather selfishness.

Whereas, there are some veritable sadhakas who internally realise that Parama Purusa really is doing everything and they feel this in their life all the 24hrs. So they have the right to say, “God will do.” Because with full surrender, they remain ever-ready to selflessly jump into action and use all their God given energy to do the needful and fight against exploitation, knowing that God is guiding and doing everything. This is proper surrender.

Pseudo-saints hailed as true saviours

The below quote discusses Indian politics during the 20th century and how one person was deemed as “sage” and presented as being a great bhakta and top spiritualist, when in reality he was just a tool or agent of the exploiters. Baba has exposed this pseudo-saint etc, but in the general society he was often hailed as a true saviour and God-realised soul. Yet the reality was that he was so attached to his reputation and prestige - and so fearful of the rulers of the day - that he was terrified of speaking out against the exploiters. By this way, what it means to be a real bhakta was misconstrued by the common people.

In this following passage, Baba exposes the character of such cowardly persons who led the people astray.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "During the struggle for independence, a great blunder was committed by Mahatma Gandhi. In order to show his innocence, he said that workers and party leaders were eager to become ministers, so they pressed him for provincial autonomy. But Mahatma Gandhi neither supported it nor opposed it. He committed a great blunder. What has happened in the country after this is the result of what Mahatma Gandhi did. At that time he should have said that we can neither split the country nor disintegrate it. As a result of the communal award, the country was trifurcated into Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. This was the result of the blunder of Mahatma Gandhi, and he did it under the pressure of his party leaders." (4)

And not just Gandhi, there are many who fall in this category. Just they were stooges and puppets of those exploiters. They refused to stand up and fight against injustices and exploitation. And in result, so many horrible misdeeds ensued. Thus we can recognise who is a fake and who is a true bhakta by how they respond to exploitation and injustice in society. Do they strongly and vocally oppose those wrongs, or are they meek and quiet and act as sidekicks of those exploiters.

Science of lymph: brain & testes 

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “After a due supply of lymph to the brain, the extra lymph comes in contact with the testes.” (1)

Note: Sadguru Baba’s revolutionary teaching about the delivery of lymph to the brain and then to the testes is supported by modern medical science. 

(a) The brain has its own specialized version of the lymphatic system that is called the glymphatic system. In contrast, the rest of the body has the traditional lymphatic system. 

(b) The glymphatic system transports essential nutrients like fats and sugars to the parts of the brain that need them the most. 

(c) The lymphatic system circulates clear lymphatic fluids that bring the needed nutrients to the testicular cells. 

(d) The lymphatic network drains excess interstitial fluid from the testes. Proper fluid drainage maintains the ideal pressure and microenvironment required for spermatogenesis (sperm production).

  Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Today the cinema seems to be very popular with people of all ages. As a result film technology will gradually rise to ever-greater heights of technical excellence. The opportunity provided by the cinema to establish good relations with people can be very well utilized for educational purposes.”
   “Seduced by the bestial instincts hidden in the secret recesses of their minds, people surrender to base propensities. But improvements in education and the social environment can help to bring this beast under control and make it obey their commands. To achieve this the first thing people have to do is to wage war against their animal propensities, which is no easy task. So cunning exploiters, by encouraging animality, are able to bring people under their sway.”
   “The cinema industry suffers from this malady. This industry is controlled by a handful of business persons who make films according to popular taste and demand. While ordinary people naturally run after those films which in their ideas, language or visual images cater to their base propensities, such ideas, language or images instantly distort the ideals of the idealist beyond recognition. It is quite in character for purely commercial film producers to exploit these human weaknesses to their own advantage, and this is exactly what is happening.” (1)

US is top in school killings by other kids


Typically, a country experiences a lot of violence during a civil war or in a failed state. The case of the US it is very different. Even during times of peace, per capita, the greatest number of crimes occur in the US on a daily basis. Children are also not spared. This is the curse of capitalism and wealth. 

Due to violent video games and gruesome movies, even small kids in the US are becoming more cruel. See the below article. An 8-year-old boy was harshly bullied and killed by other students in the school. The solution is that there should be restrictions on the production and distribution on violent movies and video games. Just as contraband and drugs are prohibited, in the same way no one should be allowed to watch these films. At the same time, the feeling of universal fraternity should be inculcated and taught from one’s childhood. Then they will look upon the next person as their family member. All human beings are the progeny of the same Cosmic Father. Without this teaching this problem cannot be solved. 

Ohio 8-year-old boy was killed by classmates

The detective said it appeared that the "primary agitator" hit one child in the stomach, sending him to the floor on hands and knees. The 8-year-old then approached the aggressor and tried to shake his hand but was pulled to the floor, the detective wrote.

The aggressor "appears to celebrate and rejoice in his behavior as (the boy) lay motionless. For many minutes, many students step over, point, mock, nudge, kick" the boy, the email said.” (NBC news)

Proper method of vaerágya


Ananda Marga ideology states, “How then in this manifested Universe, where there are multitudes of finite objects can we start a life based on Brahma? The answer is that you adopt Madhuvidyá. Instead of seeing the finite and superficial objects as finite look upon them as the finite expressions of the Infinite or the permanent. Then the attraction for Preya and love for Shreya shall all fuse into one."

"Do you love your son? It is perfectly right that you should, however, when the son dies, you will experience great pain. Is it not so? The son is Preya, a finite entity. He cannot live till eternity. He will depart and make you weep. But if you treat your son as the expression of Brahma in the form of your son, then you will never fear losing him because Brahma cannot be lost in any span of time. He is present around you in all the ten directions."

Ananda Marga ideology states, "O Human beings, in that state, no finite object can colour your mind. You will be beyond all colours or Varńátiita. Then you will be able to give proper treatment to any finite being that you may come in contact with. Give proper treatment to the expression of Brahma in the shape of your father by serving him and paying attention to his comforts. Give proper treatment to the expression of Brahma in the shape of the earth by cultivating it and increasing its fertility. If you give such proper treatment to the different objects, they will not be able to degrade your mind. This is called true Vaerágya." (1)

I don't want to say how many Wts  to follow rules regulation of wts. Please to see the page no 105 of Yoga sadhana (Hindi) of Baba Book.

Baba tells, "munda mudaye jata rakhaye mast fire jaisa Bhaesa Khalali upar khak lagaye man jaisa ka taisa'" (not writing meaning of proverb) 

Someone puts dress of saffron, does not mean that become monk. Baba tells us to be monk inside not by dress.

मैंने बार बार तुम्हें यहाॅं आकर धर्म की स्थापना करने के लिये पुकारा


प्रभात संगीत 3290 दुःखे क्लेशे  कातर होये, डेके छिलुम बारे बारे ...

परिचय-

इस गीत में परमपुरुष के आगमन के समय का चित्रण किया गया है जब पूरी मानवता अपार कष्टों के जाल में फंसी हुई थी। इस बीच कुछ अच्छे लोगों ने परिस्थितियों को सम्हालने का प्रयत्न किया परंतु इन दुष्ट राक्षसी प्रवृत्तियों से वे जीत न पाये। इस कारण वे उतावले होकर परमपुरुष से तत्काल आकर, इन दानवों  से मुक्त कराने और धर्मकी स्थापना करने के लिये की प्रार्थना करने लगे। इस दिव्य सहायता के लिये करुण पुकार सुनकर परमपुरुष तारक ब्रह्म के रूप में आये और प्रचंड मनोआत्मिक स्पंदन कर सभी समस्याओं का समाधान प्रस्तुत कर दिया। यह गीत इसी प्रकार की भावना से भरे भावों से संबंधित है।

 भावार्थ -

हे परमपुरुष! मानवता की दुर्दशा देखकर मैं अपार कष्टों की अनुभूति करते हुए असहाय था । मैंने बार बार तुम्हें यहाॅं आकर धर्म की स्थापना करने के लिये पुकारा, परंतु हे प्रभु ! तुमने तो ध्यान ही नहीं दिया। तुमने मेरी पुकार क्यों नहीं सुना ?

हे परमपुरुष! अपार कष्टों से रोती विलखती मानवता जोर जोर से कराह रही थी, अन्याय ,अत्याचार और प्रताड़ना से मेरे सुनहले सपने चूर चूर हो हये, मैं भावजड़ता, जातिवाद और मतवादों को दूर कर एक मानव समाज की रचना करना चाहता था, परंतु मानव के रूपमें वे दानव चारों ओर विध्वंश  कर हाहाकार मचाये थे, सच्चे लोगों को घेरकर हतोत्साहित किया जा राहा था। तब तुमने मेरी पुकार क्यों नहीं सुना ?

हे परमपुरुष बाबा! अंततः कृपापूर्वक तुम्हारा आगमन ‘रुद्र‘ रूप में हुआ और अपने ‘विशाण‘ की हुँकार से उत्पन्न आग की लपटों ने, सभी राक्षसी बलों को राख में मिला दिया। इस धरती पर तुमने भागवद् धर्म की स्थापना की। तुमने सभी पापियों को नष्ट कर मानवता को उन दुष्ट राक्षसों के हाथों नष्ट होने से बचा लिया, और भक्ति की प्रभावी आभा को चारों ओर फैला दिया। तुमने सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि को भक्ति भाव से आप्लावित कर दिया। लोगों ने  मानव जीवन के महत्व को अनुभव किया और जाना कि ये केवल भौतिक सुखों के लिये नहीं है। तुमने सभी की आॅंखें  खोल दीं, वे समझ गये कि यह जीवन परमपुरुष के लिये है। बाबा! तुम कितने कृपालु हो , तुम सबके रक्षक हो।
