Which samaj superior? + 3 more

Baba
Which samaj superior?

Namaskar,

Baba’s samaj system is the ideal way to build up our universal human family and greater global community. However, since 1990, various groups have come into the lead, simultaneously pushing others behind. And they justify their view by telling that their people or their samaj is more favoured by Baba than other samajas etc. This is their unfortunate tactic.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

All have equal standing

But we know that Baba is the Cosmic Father - the Supreme One. And He never favours the people of one area over another. Rather in front of Him everyone is of equal standing - regardless of their birth or community.

Discourses on the Mahábhárata states, “All human beings are the progeny of the Supreme Progenitor. Hence all are His children, hence all should live together – nay, will have to live together. Black or white, literate or illiterate, small or tall, all are the children of the same Father. Hence all will have to live together.” (1)

No one can rightly claim that Baba favours one group or one samaj over another, or that Baba is partial to a particular community. The proof of this is that wherever Baba would go He would sing the praises of that particular area and guide them on the path to move ahead. Those receiving that inspiration would understand that, "Just as Baba is encouraging us to advance, likewise He is infusing the spirit of progress within all." That is the spirit of the samaj system.

So Baba's samaj theory is a dynamic approach where all progress is in coordination with the development of others. No group, clan, or community can raise their head and say they are more blessed or more favoured by Parama Purusa than others. To do so is merely to expose how they themselves do not understand Prout and the samaj system.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Prout philosophy states, "PROUT advocates the formation of self-sufficient socio-economic units throughout the world. They will work to enhance the all-round welfare of the people in their respective areas and unite humanity on a common ideological base. The interests of all local people will be guaranteed and gain proper recognition. As each unit becomes strong and prosperous it will merge with other units. The formation of a world government will assist this process of integration. Socio-economic units will thus facilitate the comprehensive, multifarious liberation of humanity." (2)

Diseased people: "Baba favours our samaj over others"

As Proutists know, Baba's samaj theory recognises the specialties of all. In that regard, Baba appreciates and encourages all samajas. For example, in each and every place where Baba has visited, then invariably He praises that community and the qualities of their samaj. Because Baba wants to highlight the good things of a particular samaj in order to give them a boost of self-confidence so they can fight against exploitation and raise their standard. So Baba praises all samajas with the intention of removing their inferiority complex - thus enabling and empowering them to fight against exploitation.

Unfortunately, some samajas are operating in an opposite way. They are falsely telling to one and all that, "Baba favours Amara Bengali samaj above others.” This is what certain leaders of the Amara Bengali samaj are falsely propagating. They want to inject inferiority complexes within other samajas all around the globe in our Ananda Marga society. This type of approach goes directly against the spirit of the samaj system. They have brainwashed innocent people around the globe. In particular, it is the Amara Bengali samaj that salutes themselves in this way.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Yet, wherever Baba toured and visited various samajas He vehemently encouraged all and infused them about their greatness. Then those samajas would gain the requisite self-confidence to fight against exploiters. Baba inspires one and all in order to help society rid itself from any and all negative feelings like inferiority complex etc. Because Baba loves all and He encourages each and every community to overcome their current difficulties and struggles. Baba helps everyone recognise their inherent strength and talents. Toward this end, Baba has praised so many samajas so that each and every community could rise up and grow. Side by side, nobody should get confused and think that Baba was partial to one samaj over another.

Wherever Baba visits He showers His blessing

Here then are some of the many examples where Baba praises various samajas when He visits that particular area. In the following quote Baba is glorifying how Chattisgarh samaj will serve as one guiding light to the whole humanity.

Prout philosophy says, Chattisgarh "should have a very bright future. Let the people from other parts of the world come here and learn how far the people here have achieved progress, and in which ways they are going to bring about progress in other spheres of life. Let the light of Chattisgarh be ever effulgent, like a luminous star in human society, so that all may learn and be benefitted by it." (3)

Here below Baba is encouraging and reminding the Bhojpuri people of the greatness of their land so they will raise their fist against injustice.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Prout philosophy says, "From the economic point of view the soil of this [Bhojpur] area is extremely fertile...The [Bhojpuri] people are industrious, and the soil is fertile...If the land is not poor, why should the people be poor? There should not be poverty among the people at all in this area. So it is your bounden duty to make this beautiful fertile land free from exploitation." (4)

Baba also highlights the speciality of those people of the Ananda Nagar area. And here below Baba is praising Magahii samaj with the strength and courage to stand in the face of all opposition and exploitation.

Prout philosophy says, "That Magadha which has given birth to noble persons...will never perish. There is no power on earth that can destroy it." (5)

More how Baba blesses every samaj

By the following lines it is clear that when Baba visits any samaj then He praises not one but many aspects of the samaj. A case in point occurs here with regards to Mithiila samaj.

Prout philosophy says, "Mithiila is situated in the eastern part of India, at a different longitude, and as such it should and does have its own almanac...Thus we see that in all respects Mithila has its own specialities...This proves that Mithila has all along had its own script and alphabet." (6)

Prout philosophy continues, "The children of the present-day Mithila, should remember that even five or six thousand years ago there was a great civilisation at Mithila, and it was a pre-Aryan civilisation: That is, it existed even before the Aryans migrated to India. Thus you can easily understand how ancient was the civilisation of Mithila." (7)

Prout philosophy says, "The very land of Mithila is the land of Tantra." (8)

Prout philosophy adds, "The people of Mithila are very rational-minded and intellectual by disposition. There was no differentiation of caste among them even as far back as in the post Buddhist age." (9)

Baba concludes, "In fact it can be said that the Maethili language has the oldest history of all the Sam'skrt-derived languages in India...This language is at least 1200 to 1300 years old, and its literature is 900 years old." (10)

And here below Baba is highlighting particular attributes of the Pahari and Dogari samajas.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Prout philosophy  says, "Pa'ha'r'ii is a separate language, not merely a dialect; and Dogrii, too, is also a separate language, as I have told you previously." (11)

Similarly when Baba has visited overseas then He always praises and encourages those local samajas as well, such as in Venezuela, Fiesch, Manila and so many places. Baba has blessed all with strong inspiration within all the communities of the globe. This is one special approach that He has done everywhere. So none should think that Baba only favours one over others - there by leaving the rest behind.

In this piece, I am not mentioning all samajas; so this is not an exhaustive list; this is just a sampling. But internally all should know that Baba appreciates all samajas, whether He visited there or not.

Answer to Bengalee superiority complex

Here below, Baba guides us that if any community or individual has a greater degree of mixed blood they will be more intelligent than those with less-mixed blood. So those with a blood mixture of three main ethnic groups will be more intelligent than those with a blood mixture of two. And those with a blood mixture of five or six main and sub ethnic groups will be more intelligent than those with three etc. That is why Baba encourages revolutionary marriages, i.e. marital unions that are inter-caste and interracial etc.

Our Bengalee community is a mixture of three main ethnic groups. Around the world, there are so many communities that have an even greater mixture. For example in the US, all the races can be mixed in one child. There are millions of such people. The US population comes from all around the world. Not a single country is not represented. And they freely intermix and marry. That is why in the US there are people of all colours, shapes, and sizes with regards to their eyes, skin, nose, lips, height, chest, facial design, eyelids, hair, and body types etc, which you will not find in any other country.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Amara’ Bengali should not gloat about their

About the point of intelligence and the mixture of blood, the US is tops. So the Amara Bengali leaders should not gloat about their status on this matter. Rather they should mix with other ethnic groups and intermarry. Then they will be able to compete with other communities and achieve a greater blood diversity. Unfortunately some  Amara Bengali leaders are confused and think they are the best and unparalleled. That is why some in our Bengal suffer from a superiority complex.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “There were three main ethnic groups in India in those days: Austric, Mongolian, and Negroid. In [East] India they all mingled into one. The dark-complexioned non-Aryan Austrics were the original people of India, and thus there is Austric blood in most of the present population of India. The Bengalees, being a mixture of these three groups, evolved in a particular way and developed a particular psychology. They have developed certain morphological characteristics from which one can easily deduce that they are Bengali. Their physical appearance and nature are a result of a special type of blood mixture. Those groups which have mixed blood are generally very intelligent, and the Bengali people are no exception. Besides being intelligent, they have other marked psychological traits which characterize them as Bengalees: they are sports fanatics, even those who do not play any sport themselves, and they are equally mad for open-air theatre and established theatre. These psychological traits result from the integration of the different racial groups.” (12)

In comparison Bengalees are quite ordinary

Some Bengalees also brag that theirs is a mixture of three civilisations. Three big rivers join in the delta stage in Bengal. In the past, those rivers represented pathways of communication. Where there were more rivers, there was more communication; and, that civilisation was more developed. But that era of old is gone. Now communication and human interaction occur via plane travel and the internet. Knowledge is shared by these avenues. Areas by big international airports are more developed. Amara Bengalees should not gloat over being a mixture of three civlisations, when so many places are more mixed. In comparison, Bengal is quite ordinary.

Conclusion

Yet we also must recall and document that Baba visited so many samajas - indeed on His north India tour in 1984 Baba visited so many large and small samajas where He graciously held DMC etc. And always Baba was equally showering His grace and encouraging all. And in many of those regions, Baba delivered absolutely fascinating talks on the local history, language, geography, archeology etc. About this grand tour others have written postings and accounts in the past. Suffice to say here that so many angles and unknown histories were revealed by Baba.

But in an unjust manner those discourses given by Baba were never given their rightful place by Dada Sarvatmananda and never included in the Prout series of published books. Rather Amara Bengali leaders, most notably Dada Sarvatmananda, worked to ensure that even imaginary & made-up samaj discourses were included in the Prout Nutshell series. In this way they have tainted the history. In turn, those whose mind is colured by geo-sentiment believe and propagate that really Baba is more partial to Amara Bengali. Sadly, that is their psychic disease.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Ranjana’ Bose
(with input from Pranav Ghosh)

Dada Sarvatmananda and Dada Bhaskarananda are two prime examples of those who openly talk and spread the propaganda that Amara Bengali samaj is the top-most. When the mind is so riddled by geo-sentiment, this type of false notion gains traction in the mind. But that has nothing to do with Prout’s samaj system.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

~ In-depth study ~

Why their progress is checked forever

Neo-humanism states, “What is that geo-sentiment which inflicts the first blow on the inner asset of humans? It is to let one’s sentiment flow towards a particular territory. One does not consider whether what one is doing is right or wrong, logical or illogical. In this situation, sentiment is substituted for logic; and in the next phase, superstition is substituted for logic. All those religious, economic, political or social theories which are based on geo-sentiment, yield to superstition from their very inception. The so-called religions which have mouthed high-sounding ideals but are essentially motivated by geo-sentiment, become converted into reservoirs of superstition, into oceans of blind faith. They submerge humanity in a quagmire of superstitions, and people struggle in that filth for ages. Their progress is checked forever.”  (13)

Every samaj received His attention and it was made clear that no samaj was more favoured by Baba. There is no credence to the Amara Bengali sentiment that theirs is the favoured samaj.

Samaj theory: universal in spirit, regional in approach

Indeed the entire spirit of Baba's samaj theory encompasses the welfare of all - whether He has physically visited a place or not. Baba's overall guideline is that every samaj and community should grow.

Ananda Vanii says, "Encourage everyone to build their career in a nice way. Let none get the scope to think that their life has become useless." (14)

That is why the overall slogan of the our Proutistic samaj theory is, "Universal in spirit, regional in approach." (15)

Here Baba is guiding us not to accept the dogma that any particular samaj is better than the rest. Rather we are to directly oppose such a misguided idea.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Prout philosophy says, "A person who wants to promote others’ welfare, a person who wants to serve the entire humanity, must keep away from dogma. In addition to that, he or she will have to staunchly resist dogma. It is not enough to keep away from something which is considered a veritable sin, it is not enough to lodge only verbal protest against sin – one will have to wage an uncompromising fight against it." (16)

All are equally important

So there is no question of any land being high or low. All are are part of Parama Purusa's special creation; and He loves all equally. About this there should be no complex, no feelings of inferiority, no dogma. We should all live remembering that all samajas are great, all human beings are great, and that all are His progeny.

Prout philosophy says, "You must never encourage superiority complex, inferiority complex, fear complex, defeatist complex etc. You are the very children of Parama Purusa. Hence you are not inferior to anyone. You must not encourage any inferiority complex, for you are the members of the highest and noblest family. Because Your Father is the most revered Entity of this universe." (17)

Can you identify this religion

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "At one time people were told that this world is for human enjoyment only, so the existence of all the plants, of all the birds and animals, in the world is intended merely to provide objects of enjoyment for human beings. Their hopes and aspirations, their intense desire to live, their pains and pleasures, their affectionate family or community lives are simply without value. However much a baby goat may wish to live, the main consideration is how much meat that kid carries on its frame. This defective philosophy has made people ruthlessly violent – even more dangerous than blood-thirsty tigers. Tigers kill only to fill their stomachs, to preserve their physical existence; whereas human beings kill animals mostly out of greed. Generally people have resorted to hypocrisy to camouflage this instinct of greed; they have killed animals on the pretext of pleasing the gods, while actually their main motive in doing so was to please their own tongues. These are all the inevitable results of such defective philosophies." (1)

Answer: Baba is talking about the Semitic religions.

Lowly tactic of bogus gurus / teachers

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "There is a secret technique to raise this serpentine coil. Previously this technique was not clearly given. At that time some people thought it proper to keep it secret. If something harmful to individual or collective life is not given, that is good; but the useful things have to be given. People will be more attracted to do sádhaná."

"The first thing is that this kulakuńd́alinii rises slowly from the múládhára cakra to the sahasrára cakra in eight steps, it passes through eight cakras, and the sahasrára cakra is the ninth. Just below the sahasrára cakra is the guru cakra. When one meditates at the guru cakra, the kuńd́alinii takes one jump upwards, and the mind goes to the other side of the cakra [i.e., to the sahasrára.] This is the technique of sádhaná, but it has previously neither been explained nor written in books."

"The kulakuńd́alinii rises upward in eight jumps or phases, so with two syllables in a siddha mantra, the kuńd́alinii will jump four times. But a general, or publicly-given, siddha mantra will make the kulakuńd́alinii jump eight times or in eight phases. That is why such a siddha mantra has eight syllables. So you should understand that a proper kiirtana must have eight syllables, never seven or nine syllables." (1)

Note 1: The prevailing dogma in the past in India was that so-called gurus did not want to share all of their knowledge or reveal all of their techniques to their disciples. Those dogmatic gurus were thinking they should keep something 'special' for themselves, otherwise their prestige and own value will be lost. So they withheld certain key teachings and ultimately died with those special techniques.

In that case, their disciples only got 99% or so of what the guru had - not everything, not that last 1%. Gradually, then from one generation to the next, 1% kept getting withheld until finally everything was completely lost.

And now in places like India in the name of spirituality, only dogma is left. This is why the withholding of vital information is very negative. This applies to other fields as well such as medicine, law, chemistry, physics etc. Unfortunately, this same type of withholding of information occurs in many fields. All done by selfish people to "enhance" their own prestige. When, in truth, it undermines their greatness. This dogmatic and defective way must be stopped.

Note 2: Baba has given the idea in Namah Shivaya Shantaya that when one gets proper students who are eager and capable, then in that case tell them everything. Do not withhold any information or keep anything secret. That will be a disservice to the society.

Secret to overcoming degrading tendencies

Ananda Marga philosophy says, “If one stays away from objects of attraction, one has no chance of using them and they may thus gradually lose their attraction; while if one is near them one may be attracted towards them more.” (1)

Note: Reading negative articles, dirty books & literature, filthy magazines and watching lewd movies invites degeneration. By staying away from such degrading vices, one will step-by-step overcome that type of sensual attraction etc. And the mind will not be overwrought by those negative vrttis / degrading inclinations.

Father’s Day: invention of materialism + 2 more

Baba
Father’s Day: invention of materialism

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji and try to follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Namaskar,

Parents have a very big responsibility for their children. They have to care for the physical, mental, and spiritual development of their progeny and nourish them to grow in an all-round way - in three spheres. This is their parental duty. Devoid of this, the relation will not be treated as ideal. Especially for those parents who care only for the physical aspect, or only the physical and psychic development - and do not care about spiritual development of their progeny. Such parents cannot be looked upon as ideal guardians of their children.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Fragile, aged parents live frustrated, depressed life

Unfortunately, these days in materialistic countries some guardians and parents are not properly fulfilling their duty towards their progeny. In response, their progeny do not feel any obligation towards their parents or family. A percentage of the population falls in this category. So ultimately both progeny and parents reached a compromise. They decided that at least once in a year they will celebrate a particular day as Father's Day and a single day for Mother's Day etc. In this way their selfish interest became satisfied. Because one day is much easier than having to fulfill one’s duty on an ongoing, daily basis.

In an ideal society, it is the regular duty of the progeny to look after their parents; and, certainly, the parents are to look after their progeny. Now, however, some are obsessed with the self-centered philosophy of materialism. They have forgotten their respective roles - parents and their progeny. This is especially evident in materialistic countries. Children in their teenage years often leave the house to live elsewhere, and elderly parents are pushed away and neglected in their old age. Fragile parents are sent to retirement centers where they live a frustrated, depressed, and institutionalized existence. So on one side the children are suffering and on the other side the parents / elders are suffering.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

This self-centered philosophy or capitalistic bent of mind led to the birth of the Mother's Day / Father’s Day dogma and they feel satisfied: "Alright - one day will be Father's Day and one day will be Mother's Day. And then all my duties are over until next year."

Devious ploy of capitalists: dogma of Father's Day

Both "Mother's Day" and "Father's Day" were started by capitalists. Such capitalists want to sell their goods - for one or another reason. And they exploit the common people in a very indirect and cunning way. Businesses create the psychic hunger in the customer's mind that, "You need these products". Capitalists do this with even the most unnecessary items. In response, the innocent public feels that, "Yes it is very essential for me to have those things. I must purchase them." By this way, capitalists empty the pockets of the unassuming masses.

So the false holidays of Father's Day and Mother's Day are the capitalists' selfish inventions. The sole aim is for the common people to run out to the stores and buy more products - i.e. special commercially produced items to celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day. Here is Baba's guideline from His Prout discourse about economy and psycho-economy:

Prout philosophy states, "Capitalists, in their singular or collective roles, exploit society through their gigantic propaganda machinery, and create unhealthy, artificial demands which not only poison the mind but encourage dangerous habits detrimental to psychic sanctity and expansion." (1)

This type of mentality is the cause of the invention of this relatively new dogma, Father's Day and Mother's Day. Because, in this way, capitalists get a huge benefit. And although it started in the western materialistic areas, now it is spreading step by step around the globe and the so-called third world countries strive to emulate so-called first-world states. So the disease of this capitalistic venture is being passed on to other places around the globe.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga: sacred duty towards parents

As Ananda Margiis we aim to live according to the tantric vision where motherhood and fatherhood are honoured and respected. This intimate relation is maintained every moment due to ongoing love, care, and commitment. Only those who have a lesser degree of love between parent and child can embrace the yearly Mother's Day and Father's Day programs. We are to stand true to His tantric system and fully embrace our roles as mother and father, and not get pulled into the degrading ocean of materialistic values, where Mother's Day and Father's Day reign.

Great responsibility

Keeping this ideal in the forefront of one's mind, no one will get frustrated reading this letter. The aim is not to go against anyone's sentiment, nor attack anyone emotionally. Rather, our goal as Ananda Margiis is to uphold the flag of tantra. In certain of our materialistic countries the annual "Mother's Day" and "Father's Day" celebrations are going on in regular fashion. This year, so-called Mother's Day was on Sunday, 11 May, and Father's Day will be held on Sunday, 15 June -- though this may vary from country to country.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

At first glance, it may seem like "Mother's Day" and "Father's Day" are noble enterprises. But, upon further examination, we can see how they are the product of materialism / capitalism. So we should apply our vivek.

Every sadhaka has great responsibility toward their parents. According to Ananda Marga ideology, one’s duty towards their parents is quite clear. And the responsibility parents have for their children is of a similar nature. Ananda Marga has been given to build up one human society, and in that human society one healthy family is a key component. In that healthy family, all direct worldly relations should live together. That is one miniature form of society. In their happiness and sorrow, they will move collectively towards one goal - Parama Purusa. On that basis, Baba has made the aforementioned Caryacarya rule where every sadhaka has great responsibility toward their parents.

Conclusion

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Four kinds of debt are irredeemable – debt to father, debt to mother, debt to ácárya, and debt to guru (divine debt)....But however much service one renders, one will not redeem the four debts until Moks'a (salvation) is attained.” (2)

The central idea is that when something is not given importance on an everyday basis then a weekly, monthly, or yearly program is fixed. Just like everyday is not a holiday in government offices, so they take rest on Saturday and Sunday.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

But for things done on a regular or daily basis, then no special day is allotted for those engagements. Because they are performed day-in, day-out. In a similar way, those things which occur on a monthly basis are not also celebrated on a yearly basis. Rather, every month certain days are fixed. And for festivals that come once in a year then a yearly date is made. But service to mother and father is a regular daily affair.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Rainjita'
(Rachel Norwood)

~ In-depth study ~

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The human body develops over the course of some months in the mother's womb. Then after birth it continues to develop up until approximately the age of thirty-nine (in tropical countries)." (3)

Special bond between mother & child

We should embrace the tantric ideal of motherhood and think of the great bond that develops between mother and child. Firstly, the mother advances through pregnancy and nurtures the baby as her own, while in the womb. During the 40-week pregnancy, a mother develops tremendous emotional attachment and love for the child. With childbirth, the mother takes on the maternal responsibility of caring for the helpless babe each and every moment. As the babe grows through childhood, the mother is there every step of the way offering love, help, support, and care.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Indeed, a mother has an inherent and innate bond with her child. She always does her best for the child's well-being. Mothers always sacrifice for their children. And the child in turn feels an unmatched closeness with its mother. That is why when a child is emotionally hurt, or confused, it is the mother he goes to for answers. The child has implicit trust and faith in its mother, and the mother has a deep emotional link for her child.

A mother will do everything in her power to raise her child in the best possible way. No mother would ever neglect her child. Such is the bond. Even when the child has reached into young adulthood and a veritable adult, still the mother cares for and watches over her "child." Verily, there is a deeply intimate link between mother and child – and motherhood is honoured as one of the revered roles in life.

Baba did not call them mother

It is Baba's policy to never go against anyone's psychology, hence during His marriage blessings He would always speak to the newlywed couple in a particular manner. When the newly married husband and wife would come up onto the stage for His marriage blessing during DMC, then they would always offer a garland to Baba.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Baba would then give His blessing and return the garland back to the wife.

During this sweet and charming interaction, if the newlywed wife was Indian then Baba would address her as mother and say, "Take this mala mother and keep it with you...". In contrast, if the newlywed wife was not Indian then Baba would address her as “little girl” and say, "Take this mala little girl and keep it with you...".

Baba took this approach with thousands of newlyweds during hundreds of DMC's. Here the point is that Baba understood that some of the newly married wives from western countries etc, did not like to be called mother. So He called them "little girl". Actually, in materialistic places, even older women do not like to be called mother, while in those tantric cultures, even little girls are addressed as maa or mother.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Very often a doting father will take his little daughter on his lap and call her “mother”. But everyone knows that the child is his daughter, not his mother." (4)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "In the Vajraya'na Buddhist age, the idea first developed that the basic identity of a woman was neither “sister” nor “daughter” but “mother”. To support this concept, the Vajraya'na Buddhist Tantrics used to say that the person whom the newborn baby notices immediately after its birth is neither its sister, its wife nor its daughter, but its mother. So that on the wider canvas of this universe the identity of a woman, from first to last, was portrayed as a mother. She first appears as a young mother to a newborn and later when she attains maturity in life, she establishes her identity as the [grand] mother [of a large household]." (5)

Capitalists’ tool of psycho-economic exploitation

Psycho-economic exploitation is the latest form of dangerous and all-devouring capitalist exploitation. It is a special type of exploitation which first weakens and paralyses people psychologically in various ways, and then exploits them economically. Some of the methods of psycho-economic exploitation include, first, the suppression of the indigenous language and culture of local people; secondly, the extensive propagation of pseudo-culture, exemplified by pornographic literature which debases people’s mind and particularly undermines the vitality of the youth; thirdly, the imposition of numerous restrictions on women, forcing them to be economically dependent on men; fourthly, an unpsychological education system with frequent political interference by vested interests; fifthly, the negation of dharma in the name of secularism; sixthly, the balkanization of society into numerous castes and groups; seventhly, the damaging of society by the use of unnatural and harmful methods of birth control; and eighthly, placing the control of different mass media, such as newspapers, radio and television, in the hands of capitalists. Both intellectual exploitation and psycho-economic exploitation are great dangers to the human race today.” (6)

For the welfare of all

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart.

“Nútan prabháte tumi ele, ele aruń álote kare snán…” (Prabhat Samgiita #0353)

Purport:

My Parama Purusa, You have taken advent in the new dawn, bathed in crimson spiritual refulgence. It is Your causeless grace. You have reached here - foregoing the prestige of remaining as Nirguna Brahma - in order to liberate the world. You are on this earth as Mahasambhuti and living as an ordinary person. Ignoring respect or honour, You have come here, hiding among all as a regular human being. It is Your wish. Baba, You have come on this earth to emancipate all.

To the Garland of my Heart, my most dear, my most intimate One, how could You remain forgetful of me for so long. How could You ignore my cry and why did You not come soon? Tell me, please tell me. You are the jewel of my eye - "the apple of my eye." Can that jewel ever remain far away from me? No, He can’t, no He can’t. Now that You have come, my era of longing and pain is over. The insurmountable obstacles have vanished. Those melancholic and difficult tunes which I used to sing in Your yearning in the past are not needed any more. Parama Purusa, You are here before me. It is so blissful. You are so gracious.

The flower of the distant sky is no longer a blossom in that far away abode in the sky. Now He has come as a jewel on this earth. He is my most adorable Baba. He is the gem of this world and the most meaningful One. The blossom of the mind not only floats in the mental sphere, but He has come in human form before our very eyes. He smiles, He smiles always. You can touch and love him.

My Parama Purusa, by Your own plan, thinking of the welfare of all, and loving all equally, You have taken advent on this earth. It is Your causeless grace...

Medicine for current AMPS

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Today human beings, to whatever country they may belong, should, on the one side, propagate an anti-exploitation sentiment (exploitation does not mean exploitation in the economic sphere only, it includes all sorts of exploitation), and form strong nations in their respective countries; and, on the other side, preach the theory of one spiritual inheritance – that every living being is the child of the Supreme Entity, and that all the people of all nations belong to the same family. This will have to be explained to all, that there will be clash among different nations as long as national feelings exist. People may talk of disarmament, but military preparation will go on underground. And if people dedicate themselves to the welfare of the entire human race, their respective nations will also be benefited indirectly because their nations are not outside the universe! Along with the theory of spiritual inheritance, one Cosmic ideology will have to be propagated too, and that ideology is that one Supreme Entity – the Cosmic Entity – is the goal of all living beings. This spiritual sentiment will keep human beings united for all time to come. No other theory can save the human race.” (1)

Sadvipra recipe

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "It is meaningless to impart diikśá under five years of age, since at this stage the nerve cells of a human child are undeveloped. Consequently, at age of five, there is no disposition or propensity for intricate types of spiritual practices. But, in absences of initiation of five years of age, there is apprehension of the child going astray. Verily, all the human vices are acquired during the age of five to fifteen years. The child has a great inclination to imitate. It hears abusive words and learns them. The robbers sons turn to be robbers only on account of environmental influence. For this reason, if the child be initiated on attaining five years of age, it can develop into a perfect human being – it will be a perfect man." (1)

An issue for 7000 years

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The Sanskrit equivalent for marriage is viváha (vi – vah + ghaiṋ): it means, after the ceremony, the man and woman can no longer live as libertines or as irresponsible so-called family people. They have to discharge their full obligations as bharttá and kalatra, responsible husband and responsible wife.”

“Another Sanskrit equivalent for “woman” is nárii, which is feminine gender. But Shiva used the term kalatra, in the neuter; for to her husband a woman is a wife, but to her children and other members of the society, she is as dignified as her male counterpart. So by declaring a married lady to be kalatra, Shiva gave her special status, and addressed her in neuter terms.”

“The liberal meaning of the term viváha is “live one’s life in a new way with a special type of responsibility”. This is the underlying significance of the Shaeva system of marriage.”

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “In His life, Shiva Himself married with this commitment. We can say without the least hesitation that Shiva was the first person in this world to marry in the proper sense of the term..” (1)

Note: That which was common 7000 years ago has now again come into vogue: That same disease has become prevalent today. A huge percentage of people around the globe are leading libertine life - especially in the materialistic areas. They produce children and neglect to take any responsibility. They do not like to be bound in conjugal relations and shoulder the responsibility of helping the child. The ones who suffer the most are the children and the mother. Often such children wind up in foster care - mentally and physically scarred. It is a serious crisis - watch out. Where capitalism is growing that disease will spread. Our duty is to propagate this teaching - if we bring even one libertine onto the path of responsibility then at least to some small degree the problem is solved.
