HOW ANT ANALOGY WORKS

Namaskar,
In one of Parama Purusa's well-known and famous teachings, He states that if even an ant dies prematurely then the entire universe will become imbalanced.

There are some who wonder how can this be true. After all, countless ants in countries around the globe are getting killed each and every day. Then how does this theorem work? How can it be that the premature death of a single ant ruins the equilibrium of the entire cosmos? Wouldn't the universe be in a constant state of disarray - or be destroyed entirely? That is the question that some raise.

The solution to this conundrum is contained in a few key steps.

NOBODY HAS THE CAPACITY TO GO AGAINST COSMIC LAW

EVERYTHING DONE BY HIS APPROVAL - NO ONE DIES PREMATURELY

1. Nobody has the capacity to go against Cosmic law; it is impossible. All must obey the order of the Supreme. Nobody has the strength to do anything without His approval. Hence, it is not possible to kill an ant prematurely. Every ant that dies occurs by His approval - i.e. at the right time according to Cosmic law.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "The Operative Principle, although it has the potentiality to do something or to do anything and everything, cannot do anything without His approval, because He is the hub and all waves emanate from Him. His approval is a must in this respect. That is, if He does not like, not even a blade of grass can move. Each and every intelligent man and each and every spiritual aspirant should remember this fact." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Whatever Parama Puruśa does, He does for the good of humanity. Not a single blade of grass can move without His desire." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "From a mammoth to a blade of grass. So a mammoth cannot move without His grace, and a blade of grass also cannot move without His approval. And this shows that He maintains a link with each and every entity." (3)

This point alone is enough to solve the problem. Every action in this universe is calculated and witnessed by the Supreme. No one can act beyond His scope. All reside under His care. Thus no being, not even an ant, dies a premature death.

What follows then is further logic and reasoning to better understand Parama Purusa's guideline.

GRAVITY IS A UNIVERSAL CONSTANT

WITHOUT IT CREATION WOULD BE DESTROYED

2. The universal law of gravity is a constant. Gravity is always on. There is not a moment that passes by where gravity is not working. But, if such a time were to happen, if for a moment gravity would cease to function, the entire universe would become completely imbalanced. People would float up off of this planet into outer space and the entire planetary and solar systems would be in upheaval if all gravitational forces were removed from the universe.

The entire cosmos would be thrust into chaos because every other system is dependent upon gravity. There would be a huge domino effect. If gravity were to stop functioning, everything would be in a sheer state of disarray - everything would be destroyed in one second. But such an event never arises because gravity is a constant force. It is always in operation. Thus, nobody can defy the law of gravity; it is impossible. Hence, order is always maintained.

COSMIC LAW IS A UNIVERSAL CONSTANT

WITHOUT IT CREATION WOULD BE DESTROYED

3. Similarly, throughout this universe, the Divine will or Cosmic law is a constant force. It is never off. Everything is dependent upon it, just as everything on this earth is dependent upon the force of gravity. If for an instant, the Cosmic law would shut down, then the entire manifested universe would be finished. Because the existence and energy of each and every entity is wholly dependent on the Divine force, i.e. the will of Parama Purusa. If He does not give His approval then nothing can happen - nobody can do anything, nothing can exist. Thus everything is fully dependent upon the functioning of Cosmic law. And indeed Cosmic law is always operating - monitoring everything. By this way, the cosmological order is beautifully maintained such that not even a single ant dies prematurely.

PARAMA PURUSA WATCHES OVER EVERYTHING

NO ONE CAN DO ANYTHING WITHOUT HIS CONSENT

4. Here the central idea is that Parama Purusa watches over this entire universe always. His eyes are everywhere, in all directions, each and every moment. He ensures that nothing goes unnoticed and no one is uncared for. No one can do anything without His consent.

IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL AN ANT PREMATURELY

5. So when Parama Purusa states that if an ant dies prematurely then the universe will be imbalanced, He is not opening the door or possibility that an ant can be prematurely killed. Rather He is telling that He watches over everything - nothing happens without His approval, and no created being has the ability to overpower Cosmic law. It is impossible to prematurely kill an ant just as it is impossible to put the universe in a state of imbalance.

6. This then is the explanation for no ant ever dies a premature death and how the balance of the universe is never lost.

SUMMARY

WITHOUT HIS APPROVAL, NOTHING CAN HAPPEN

Again, if He does not give His approval then nothing can happen – nobody can do anything. Thus everything is fully dependent upon the functioning of Cosmic law. And indeed Cosmic law is always operating – monitoring everything. By this way, the cosmological order is beautifully maintained such that not even a single ant dies prematurely.

An ant can only die prematurely if Cosmic will becomes dysfunctional; but if Cosmic will becomes dysfunctional then the whole universe will collapse. Thus, an ant will never die prematurely because that would mean the destruction of the entire universe.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Trilocan

Note 1: IF THIS MATTER IS STILL UNCLEAR FOR YOU

THINK IN THIS WAY

Think in this way. You yourself have only come on this earth because of Cosmic will. Parama Purusa thought and you came into existence. You did not bring yourself here. And no matter how much you desire to stay here forever, you cannot. You are bound. Everything is under His control. That is also Cosmic will.

In this creation, everything big or small has the same existential value. To human beings, a particular entity like an ant may seem small and puny, but for Parama Purusa that ant is also His creation.

It is just like how onlookers may look towards a particular family and conclude that the infant is negligible or meaningless - as it does not do anything. But for the mother that is not the case - for her, the baby is very meaningful. Similarly, for Parama Purusa, each and every entity, even a tiny ant, has its special value.

The central idea is that everything happens according to Cosmic will. Just as your coming and going is controlled by the Supreme, similarly an ant comes and goes according to His will. Without His approval nothing happens - no one dies prematurely. If so, then the universe will be  destroyed; but still the universe is in tact because up till now not even an ant has not been killed prematurely. Accordingly, no other being will ever die prematurely either.

An ant can only die prematurely if Cosmic will becomes dysfunctional; but if Cosmic will becomes dysfunctional then the whole universe will collapse. Thus, an ant will never die prematurely because that would mean the destruction of the entire universe.

Note 2: THE GREAT EFFECT OF GRAVITY

IT IS FUNDAMENTAL TO THIS UNIVERSE

"From a cosmological perspective, gravitation causes dispersed matter to coalesce, and coalesced matter to remain intact, thus accounting for the existence of planets, stars, galaxies and most of the macroscopic objects in the universe. It is responsible for keeping the Earth and the other planets in their orbits around the Sun; for keeping the Moon in its orbit around the Earth; for the formation of tides; for natural convection, by which fluid flow occurs under the influence of a density gradient and gravity; for heating the interiors of forming stars and planets to very high temperatures; and for various other phenomena observed on Earth and throughout the universe." Unknown History

Parama Purusa Baba says, "In Puranic Hindu yuga in India when Buddhism and Shaeva religions got mixed, then one blended religion got formed and it got called as Nath dharma. It is most prevalent in entire eastern part of India. They named it the Nath religion because at the end of their Guru's name the 'Nath' title is there, i.e. Adinath Miin, Matsyendranath, Goraksanath, Rohininath, Chaorangiinath, etc." (AV-11, p.19)

Note: Even monks of the Nath religion and their followers do not know that the origin of Nath dharma was Buddhism and that those Buddhists accepted the Shiva cult. Means, after the eradication of Buddhism from India, followers of Lord Buddha accepted Shaeava religion. They continued some of those Buddhist dogmatic rituals. The result being that one type blending happened. Now followers of the Nath religions only know this much: That they are followers of Shiva. They are completely unaware about their past link with Buddhism. In eastern India there are hundreds of Nath temples. Even then, neither believers of the Hindu religious sect of Nath nor followers of Buddhism know this fact about their history.
