Fake thief? + 3 more

Baba

Fake thief?

Namaskar,

(A) Shrii PR Sarkar says, “The people who have committed some misdeeds driven by want (be that want of food or clothes or of physical or mental gratification) make society responsible for it. They want to convey to us that their want was created due to flaws in the social system, which is, however, substantially true.” (Human Society - 1, 1987 Edn, Justice, p.77)

And in the latter edition of the same book, it reads:

(B) The altered version of Shrii PR Sarkar’s teaching says, “Those who have committed crimes due to poverty (whether due to lack of food or clothing, or physical or mental factors), will blame society for their offences. They will claim that their poverty is the result of a defective social structure, and in most cases this allegation will be true.” (Human Society – 1, 2000 Edn, Justice)

Note: Here following are some observations about Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar’s above teaching.

1. This tragic scene which Shrii PR Sarkar is describing is happening throughout the globe. In “third-world” countries and in so-called advanced nations, often the common mass is denied getting their basic necessities– in which case, with no other option, they are pressured into committing crimes.
For example, if a person does not have food, even if they do not have a tendency towards theft, they might steal food due to severe pressure of circumstance. And the same can be said of so many other situations. If a person lacks a proper shelter on a cold, stormy night, they may break into a building to save themselves. So there are many ways in which this could take expression. There are innumerable circumstances where due to extreme need and want, a person resorts to crime.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
2. In turn, the “powers-that-be” wrongly blame that individual and charge / label them as a thief or criminal.
3. However, in His dharmic and revolutionary approach, Shrii PR Sarkar views the situation completely differently. He holds that the society is at fault for putting its own citizens in such a dire position wherein they cannot even get their minimum requirements.
4. We should pay heed to Shrii PR Sarkar’s guideline and also make it known that the real culprits are those who are hoarding all the material wealth and not allowing general society members to get their basic needs met.
5. Parama Purusa has given an enormous amount of wealth for maintaining the human society, but due to terrible and improper distribution, drastic inequalities have emerged, and so many problems have erupted around the globe.
6. Everyone should remember Prout’s unique approach that 100% of the wealth belongs to Parama Purusa. He is the owner. All can and have the right to utilise this wealth in a rational way, but He is the Creator and the Owner.

Scripture distortion in 2000 Edition

The teaching from the ‘Justice’ chapter of the book, “Human Society”, has been translated and published in two different ways - both of which are presented below.

(A) The yellow highlighted version from 1987 is more legitimate than the green highlighted version from 2000. Unfortunately, in his latest rendering (2000 edition) brother Jayanta of Suva sector ruined the book by retranslating them.

(B) In the green highlighted 2000 edition, the thieves referred to in the passage are said to blame the society: “Those who have committed crimes...blame society for their offences.” But that is wrong. Those thieves never openly state that society is at fault. Rather, a careful analysis of their actions - i.e. theft due to pressure of circumstance - reveals that society is at fault for those crimes. And it is the Author and Propounder of Prout Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar - not those thieves - who makes this revolutionary assessment and points out that society is to blame.

Due to Jayanta’s superficial understanding he could not manage the task of republishing the books. And the problem shown in the below green highlighted version is just the tip of the iceberg. Everywhere, throughout the entire text of Human Society (2000 Edn), there are countless mistakes. If you have the older 1987 edition, simply compare the two texts and you will find a stark difference.

* If you need a copy of the 1987 edition, let us know as we can provided an e-version as needed. - Eds

Insane approach to eating

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "One must have a balanced diet. “Whatever I get, that I will eat” – this must not be the policy of a sane being. This human body is a composite of protoplasmic cells, and these protoplasmic cells are made of the food we take in. If the food and drink is defective, then the protoplasmic cells will also become defective, and the human mind, which is the collective mind of so many protoplasmic minds, will also become defective. That is why támasik or static food has a negative influence on the human mind." (1)

Why important to protect the head during sadhana

Ananda Marga ideology, ““The demonstration further showed that while the samádhi experienced remains in the subconscious, sádhakas may manage to keep some control over their bodies; they may stand in the beginning and sit later on without help. But the unconscious helps only slightly and indirectly in the subconscious mind; therefore, once the subconscious fully gives way to the unconscious, the control is lost and the body falls. That is why sádhaná has to be performed sitting in a firm ásana (posture) and on a blanket or other protection, so that, should the body fall, there may be the least possible injury to the head.” (1)

Human but animal + 4 more

Baba

Human but animal

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji and try to follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Namaskar,

The following happens when someone first gets human life. They are not very developed and their mind is very close to that of wild animals. Such animals react spontaneously and do not have control over their propensities. When someone first gets human life their situation is similar. This letter explains this issue. So watch out. You may find that there are a few such people around you.

(Example A): Suppose Raju was walking down the street and one unjust police officer abused him, yet Raju knew that he had done no wrong. So Raju became very angry and wanted to smack the officer and yell at him; but instead Raju exercised restraint and refrained from hitting the officer or speaking rudely to him. Just Raju controlled himself and calmly walked away.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Below pt. animal and human are same

(Example B): A similar event happened to Tom. He too was harassed needlessly by an unjust police officer. But in response, Tom pushed and slapped the officer. In result, Tom was beaten, arrested, and put in jail.

(Example C): A goat wandered into the food market and grabbed a bunch of greens and quickly ate them. The shopkeeper saw this and gave that goat a beating.

So of the above three analogies, analogy (b) and analogy (c) are quite similar. In analogy (b), Tom reacted to external stimuli without thinking and took a beating. The policeman provoked Tom, and without using his vivek (sense of discrimination) Tom reacted and that officer roughed him up and took Tom into custody. And the goat also responded to external stimuli without thinking and in result that goat took a beating. Namely, the goat smelled and saw the fresh greens, ate them immediately and then the shopkeeper kicked and smacked the goat. In that case what is the difference between Tom and that goat. Both reacted blindly to external stimuli and suffered accordingly. The goat, being a goat, can be excused. Because after all a goat is an animal. But Tom is a human being so he should not behave like this and cannot be excused.

Question of greatness: Among the above three scenarios, who is considered to be great according to the lens of Ananda Marga philosophy?
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Who is great A, B, or C?

The answer is Raju from the first scenario described above. Why Raju? Let’s come & find out.

As we know there are many occasions in life where our patience and mental composure is disturbed due to adverse circumstances. What happens is that a person receives certain external stimuli via the sensory organs - i.e. ears, eyes, nose, skin, tongue etc. And that stimuli might be quite jarring, annoying, uncomfortable, and even threatening. In that situation, one might be very tempted to react instantly. But only weak-minded people impulsively react in a hasty, knee-jerk manner. The reason is that they lack the requisite control over their motor organs, i.e. arms, legs, mouth etc. So as soon as they receive information from their sensory organs, they react impetuously with their motor organs - without thinking. They lack proper control. These are the weakest kind of people. And that is exactly what happened in scenario (b) up above where Tom hit the unjust police officer, and in scenario (c) where the goat brainlessly ate the greens and got hit by the shopkeeper.

Although such persons have a human frame, they are very close to being an animal. The defining quality of a human being is for one to think and exercise control over their motor organs -  i.e. arms, legs, mouth etc. But some humans with an animal intellect just react spontaneously. That means their mind does not have control over their organs. Those persons will yell, kick, scream, punch, smack etc. Such persons are of weak mind. And in the course of their hasty reaction, they may say and do things that they are sorry about later on. Indeed, in such situations, weak persons often abuse and even harm others - only to repent afterwards. But only if the next fellow is not killed by you.

Animals in human form react impulsively

On the path of yoga and tantra, an aspirant has to pause and think before performing any action - especially in adverse conditions. One should always consider the most appropriate and effective way to handle the situation. And this can only be done by those whose mind has control over the motor organs. Those who exercise such restraint are above-average human beings.

In the face of adverse conditions, those who do not react hastily are better than others. Those who have developed that type of psychic composure to a high degree are great. The telling point is that one should not react blindly to external stimuli. Rather one should have control over the motor organs, use their brain, and think carefully. Then in that deliberate and courageous manner their response to that injustice will be effective and fruitful. The worst is not to use the brain and react quickly - only to cause more undue harm and regret it later. Those who act hastily are low, while those who exercise maximum restraint and have the courage to act in a thoughtful way are great.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Conclusion: knee jerk reaction is worst

In this busy world, people get bombarded by external stimuli through their various sensory organs. If amidst the onslaught of over-stimulation and sensory overload, one is able to process everything in a calm manner, and carefully decide what to do, then they are great. Whereas if one gets overrun by that excess external stimuli, and they react impulsively without thinking, then that person is quite primitive and very close to animal life. So when any incident occurs, one should be calm and use their vivek (sense of discrimination). Such persons are great human beings. Animals cannot do this - they always react hastily according to their instincts. And if a human also reacts impulsively then they are showing themselves as an animal. Whereas, those humans who employ their rational thinking to determine the best way to respond are great.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “A great person is one who has complete control over the externalization of thoughts. A thought will not always be expressed physically. One may have a desire to hit someone or a desire to steal, but never actually does it due to one’s self control. A person who has such control over the mind can externalize internal ideas more vigorously than a normal person can. You may have met people who never lose their temper unnecessarily, but utilize anger with the utmost control for benevolent reasons. This is because they have control over their minds.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Imagine a scoundrel is standing in front of you. The man is such a rogue that you feel like slapping him, but do not actually do it. It is only when you decide, “Let me slap that scoundrel,” that your hands actually strike him. ” (2)

Namaskar,
In Him,
Vishvamohan

You might have seen people sitting in high prestigious posts - either inside or outside AMPS - and they quickly react so they are like analogies (b) Tom and (c) goat. By their actions it is proven that they are of a very weak mind - close to animal and undeveloped. In contrast, Raju in scenario (a) has control over his various organs and he remains calm and composed.

Example of animal Wt

Here is a classic example of one animal Wt. In the WhatsApp forum there was discussion about how one Ananda Marga school got destroyed. By reading one comment, Wt Dharmapranananda could not control his temper, lost his rationality, and fired back with very foul street language which is usually used in red light areas by pimps etc. Dharmapranananda was using lewd, vulgar name calling to another Wt. On the basis of Baba’s above teaching, it is evident that Wt Dharmapranananda is sub-human. Dharmapranananda’s mind is very close to that of a wild animal. Domesticated animals learn to control their impulses by living around human beings. So Dharmapranananda is worse than even domestic pets, let alone human beings. In his practical life, Dharmapranananda drinks country liquor when he gets the opportunity.

~ In-depth study ~

Cowardliness vs control of mind

But this does not mean that all cowards who are too scared to act are therefore top-grade human beings. For instance, some people are completely intimidated by and fearful of their boss. In front of their boss they are scared and spineless, like a drenched cat. So if their boss treats them unfairly or abuses them, they will not react, protest or complain. They will just sit there and keep mum. And the reason is their own cowardliness. It has nothing to do with proper control over the motor organs etc. And the proof is that when that same coward gets irritated by his wife or domestic assistant etc, then he will rage like a lion and harshly abuse and scold them. That shows they have no psychic balance - just they keep mum when they are intimidated by someone. So the operating factor is fear. So really they are weak-minded cowards - nothing more. So there is a stark difference between cowardliness and control / restraint.

Cowards never protest against injustice in a meaningful way. Whereas courageous dharmikas who exercise restraint in life will protest strongly in a strategic and effective way to defeat the abusive party. This demands a calm, deliberate, decisive approach. Negative forces can never be defeated by a spontaneous, knee-jerk reaction.

So again, in the second scenario up above, the unjust policeman wrongly abused the Tom and Tom reacted impetuously and hit the unjust policeman. That was the wrong approach. The outcome was that Tom was arrested and the abusive officer was praised by his supervisors. Whereas in the first situation, the unjust police officer wrongly abused Raju and Raju calmly tolerated that injustice. But later Raju wrote a letter of protest to the police chief, organised community meetings, and raised awareness about police brutality, and that rogue office was suspended from duty. And the city administration gave compensation to Raju and other victims, and the police department issued a formal apology.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

This positive outcome happened because Raju exercised control over his motor organs; he did not slap the unjust police officer but instead staged a thoughtful, strategic protest. If Raju had been a coward then he would not have raised the issue with the chief of police. Standing up to those bad police authorities took courage.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Imagine a scoundrel is standing in front of you. The man is such a rogue that you feel like slapping him, but do not actually do it. It is only when you decide, “Let me slap that scoundrel,” that your hands actually strike him. When the inner urge to externalize the feeling becomes strong enough, your hands leap into action.” (3)

Ananda Vanii says, “Those who can maintain their restraint in spite of intense provocation are the real spiritual aspirants...” (4)

As spiritual aspirants, as travelers on the path of tantra, we might ask ourselves, “Who is great?” That’s to say, what is it that makes a person great. The above scenarios shed light on this key query. And the answer is that Raju is great because Raju exercised restraint and demonstrated control.

Fundamental point of tandava

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Tandava: As long as a dancer remains above the ground, he derives much benefit; when he touches the ground, then those benefits are assimilated by the body. That is why in the tandava dance there is much jumping, because jumping requires the practitioner to remain off the ground for a fairly long period of time." (1)

Fundamental point for everyone to know

Prout philosophy states, "None of the movable or immovable property of this universe belongs to any particular individual; everything is the common patrimony of all, and the Father of all is Brahma. All living beings can enjoy their rightful share of this property, like members of a joint family in the Dáyabhága system. As members of a joint family, human beings should safeguard this common property in a befitting manner and utilize it properly. They should also make proper arrangements so that everyone can enjoy it with equal rights, ensuring that all have the minimum requirements of life to enable them to live in a healthy body with a sound mind." Dharmic way to become incredibly powerful & more

Here Baba demonstrates that by doing sadhana properly and adhering to His tenants of 16 Points, then by His grace one's mental strength will increase.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "What is the best way to strengthen the mind? The best and proper way is to strictly observe the 16 Points. The more rigidly you follow the 16 Points, the more your mental strength will increase. It will increase so much that it will be more powerful than the collective mental strength of 100,000 people. In a psychic clash they will have to concede victory to you...So you must endeavour to develop your psychic strength - this is your bounden duty. The more rigidly you follow the 16 Points, the more psychic strength you will acquire. It will not take you long." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "If you follow Sixteen Points, your longevity will be greater." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology furthermore states, "Be firm on sixteen points. Unite all the righteous forces. All the tall talks of the evil forces will be silenced." (3)
