Origin story for children + 4 more

Origin story for children

Namaskar,

We must consider: When and how we should guide our children about our Ananda Marga creation theory.

Should we wait until our children reach a certain age when they can understand philosophy, grasp abstruse concepts of "Idea & Ideology", and comprehend challenging topics like jadasphota, shambhuliunga, sadrsha parin'a'ma etc?

Otherwise, when and how should we approach this topic with our kids.

After all, this is an everyday reality for most of us: What is the best way to guide our children. Because inevitably, either on the homefront, in school, or on the internet, this important topic of creation will be raised. And if we do not give a reply—or if our reply is not satisfactory to their ears—then our children will get the 'lesson' elsewhere.

Human originates in mother's womb?

If we don't teach our children from where they have come, then they are bound to learn from the general society that human beings are just bones, flesh, and blood. They will think that they just came from their mother's womb—nothing more.

So, teaching creation theory to our young ones and youths is paramount. Without that they will not have a base in life.

Based on Sadguru’s special guideline from His Patna discourse (Ananda Vacanamrtam (Pure) part 36, chapter 7), here is a summary of how to impart the creation theory in story form to our children. It proceeds and concludes as a very simple story that should be narrated in a colourful and personal manner.

A spiritual story for children

Parama Purusa was all alone. He was all by Himself. There was no one around. Naturally He wanted some companionship—someone to play with. After all, who likes to be alone—all the time? We all like to have family and friends around us; with good company we feel joyous. Similarly, Parama Purusa also wanted some company—someone to laugh and smile with.

But there was nothing. He wanted to create something; He wanted to create someone, so He would not be all alone. But how?

If you want to create any toy, then material is needed like wood, plastic, metal, or rubber. And with that material you can create whatever toy you like. So Parama Purusa was alone and there was no material by which He could create various things. So He gave one portion of His mind for that. By doing so, the needed material was created. And that process of creating material is called saincara.

Once having readied the material, He then created plants, animals, small and big birds, dogs, monkeys, chimpanzees, and, finally, human beings. In that way, He made this creation where everyone has mind—in some the mind is less developed and in others it is more developed. All though are part and parcel of His universal family. By this way, Parama Purusa was no longer alone and humans came into existence. This is called pratisaincara.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Using Baba's Patna discourse (AV-36 (Pure), chapter 7) is such a beautiful and wonderful way of explaining this created universe. Parama Purusa was all alone and to have someone to play with He set aside part of His mind and manifested this whole cosmological order through this cycle of brahmacakra, i.e. saincara & pratisaincara.

Such is the way of Parama Purusa. He is the Cosmic Father and He loves all and He is attracting and calling all the jiivas back to Him. With His divine attraction He pulls everyone. This is the natural process that is unfolding in this universe.

This is the way our Ananda Marga creation theory works. As we introduce children to this through story, they will be greatly benefited.

Answer of big question

Ultimately, by Baba's grace, this entire Ananda Marga creation theory gives children a huge lift in life. Because, with this teaching, with this outlook, in that tender age of early childhood development, our children will:

(1) Gain a clear conception of who they are & from where they have come: They will know they are the sons and daughters of Parama Purusa and realise they have come from Him. Having these answers set in their mind gives tremendous reassurance and confidence in life.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

(2) Understand what is their Goal in life: They will know that Parama Purusa is watching over them each and every moment. By this way, they will not run around searching "hither and thither" for meaning in life, but rather know that they already have a mission and a Goal.

(3) Know what is this universe: They will feel in their mind and heart that they live in a God-centered universe and that this entire cosmic expression is the manifestation of Parama Purusa, in various ways, shapes, and forms.

(4) Have an appreciation for their relationship with others: They will naturally feel that since Parama Purusa is their Father, then certainly all the other things which He has created—from mountains to hilltops and from oceans to ponds, from eagles to ants and from hippos to giraffes—are valued aspects of this creation—part of our family. They will feel that they are to care for those landscapes, animals, and plants since they are also the expression of Parama Purusa—Cosmic Entity. Plus our children will have the inherent idea that all their neighbors, classmates, friends, and all humans are part of the same cosmic family, since everyone has come from Him. In that case, when in a natural manner this entire Ananda Marga creation theory has been suffused in the tender, young minds of our children, then surely their life on this earth will be peaceful and blissful. Their journey will be smooth and dharmic as they will have the right inspiration to attain success in all the realms.

All come from Parama Purusa

Knowing our Ananda Marga creation theory, our children will easily realise their relation of love with Him and become inspired sadhakas who attain the height of human existence—life divine.

Namaskar,
At His lotus feet,
Shanti

Ananda Marga ideology says, "We have all come from Parama Puruśa – the Supreme Entity – and from the práńa-kendra, the nucleus of the universe – that is, Puruśottama. We have to return to the same place. It is like a boy who has played throughout the day away in the fields, and now that evening comes, returns home. Sádhaná is the process of returning home. The child has played outside for the whole day. As evening approaches, he thinks, ‘Father must have returned home. Let me also return home and sit next to him.’"  (1)

Inner workings of kleptomaniacs

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Another type of crime occurs occasionally. This is a temporary criminal urge, a special type of mental disease which suddenly appears in a certain type of environment and again subsides after a short time. Kleptomania is an example of this kind of mental disease. After committing a crime kleptomaniacs feel ashamed and are anxious to return the property that they have stolen to the owner. They have sudden fantasies about stealing, abducting people, becoming drunk or indulging in decadent activities. But analysis shows that they do not in fact have the slightest personal interest in such things.”

“Usually weak-minded people who have witnessed larceny, murder or any other crime, are deeply affected by their experience, and due to the ensuing extreme agitation that occurs in their minds, they deviate from the path of common sense. If the feeling of mental agitation recurs due to the influence of temporal, spatial or personal factors, they will immediately commit a crime.” (1)

Pseudo-criminal

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “If a person who is not actually a thief constantly thinks about stealing and about the various techniques that can be used to steal, it may happen that he or she will begin to talk in a way that will give people the impression that he or she is really a thief. After witnessing a brutal murder, sometimes such weak-minded people begin to think of themselves as criminals.” (2)

Unknown History

Parama Purusa Baba says, "In Puranic Hindu yuga in India when Buddhism and Shaeva religions got mixed, then one blended religion got formed and it got called as Nath dharma. It is most prevalent in entire eastern part of India. They named it the Nath religion because at the end of their Guru's name the 'Nath' title is there, i.e. Adinath Miin, Matsyendranath, Goraksanath, Rohininath, Chaorangiinath, etc." (AV-11, p.19)

Note: Even monks of the Nath religion and their followers do not know that the origin of Nath dharma was Buddhism and that those Buddhists accepted the Shiva cult. Means, after the eradication of Buddhism from India, followers of Lord Buddha accepted Shaeava religion. They continued some of those Buddhist dogmatic rituals. The result being that one type blending happened. Now followers of the Nath religions only know this much: That they are followers of Shiva. They are completely unaware about their past link with Buddhism. In eastern India there are hundreds of Nath temples. Even then, neither believers of the Hindu religious sect of Nath nor followers of Buddhism know this fact about their history.

Jobs to avoid + 3 more

Baba
Jobs to avoid

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji and try to follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Namaskar,

I recall how one of my friends Kripal was always complaining that he could not concentrate in sadhana and then after some time I saw him again and inquired about his sahana. He replied that his sadhana is very good these days. I was surprised to hear this and asked how he remedied the situation. Kripal told, “It was very easy. Earlier I was working in payday lending, and when I came to know this was one of the negative occupations then I quit my job and got a proper job; and, ever since then my sadhana has been better.”

Some confused people think that if they are not directly involved in negative occupations like loansharking, payday lending etc, and not directly involved in and harassing the common people, then it is ok. They feel it is fine to give money to a loansharking company to do such things, while they themselves remain in “safe territory.” Those persons do not think they will incur any bad samskara. But that is simply not true.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

All are involved

To get a better idea, let’s take a wide-angle view of the situation. In this modern era, everything is happening on a large scale. Various companies and agencies within the financial sector - like hedge funds and certain stock brokers - are doing this type of negative work. So if you deposit your money with them and you are gleaning the rewards of a high interest return with those who are loansharking and doing payday lending, then you are also 100% culpable, albeit indirectly.

It is just like if the mafia boss is sitting far away from the scene and ordering one of his hitman to murder someone. Then certainly the mafia boss is involved in that attack. Some dumb people might think that only the hitman or goondha is accountable. But that is not true - the big boss is also implicated as he ordered the hit.

The conclusive idea is that when a murder happens, then all those involved - directly or indirectly - are criminals, irrespective of how how remotely involved they are. Thousands of years ago, killers would choke people to death with their bare hands. Nowadays, people use advanced weapons like guns, rockets, missiles, and drones, etc to kill others. And in some cases, they may be sitting thousands of miles away from the attack scene. Even then they are wholly culpable for their sins.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

This same theory applies with investing in today’s ultra-capitalistic economy. If you are depositing monies in hedge funds that do loansharking, then you are also involved in that sin. In that case, your food is also untouchable. You will have to face the consequences from parama prakrti. The main guiding factor is that in these types of jobs the public is undeniably cheated, exploited, and harmed. They are preyed upon. So labeling such negative occupations as sinful is for the protection of the vulnerable people, i.e. the common public.

Conclusion: list of sinful jobs

Remember, these points were given by Lord Buddha 2500 years ago. Society has since advanced - times have changed. Now anti-social elements are moving about in civil dress as seemingly respectable citizens. When in reality their entire job is aimed at exploiting the unsuspecting masses. The need of the day is to enlist all such jobs of this type, and warn everyone.

For starters, here are a few: Porn industry, brothels, illegal wildlife trade, gambling, lottery, tobacco, illicit drugs, legal marijuana business, meat industry etc. Please help formulate this list. Verily, the list is so long these days. All should open their eyes and not deposit or invest money, directly or indirectly, in any field where the public is harmed. Otherwise one will have to face the consequences of prakrti. In that case, cheap money will be very costly.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga ideology states, “One must have a clean occupation, that is, one must not do anything antisocial, one must not encourage anything antisocial, anything that goes against collective interest. That is samyak ájiiva in physical sphere. One may earn money by selling wine. One may earn money by stealing. These are not samyak ájiiva. Your occupation should be neat and clean – not going against the interest of the society.” (1)

in Him,
Mayadhiish

Propagate the glories of the Supreme

"Áloker path cháŕibo ná ámi, áloker path cháŕibo ná..." (Prabhat Samgiita #0337)

Purport:

My Parama Purusa, by Your grace, I will not leave the path of sadhana, bhakti, or the path of refulgence. I will tread on the path which You have shown me. By Your mercy and guidance, I will mold myself according to Your desire and make my mind straight and simple. My thoughts, speech, and actions will be one, not three. I shall never bow down before human-shaped animals, to those sinful forces. By Your krpa, I will fight and destroy them.

Baba, the Supreme Entity, I shall move on the straight path, the road of satya, not the ways of duplicity or hypocrisy. I shall speak the plain satya - frankly, and deeply engage in Your thought, in Your sadhana. I will not extol myself in front of anyone, nor eulogize my own existence, nor propagate my own personality on any occasion. I will never promote myself or invite acclaim. My Lord, You have taught me to propagate the glories of the Supreme. I will sing the grandeur of Parama Purusa - not anyone else - and l will refrain from praising myself.

Parama Purusa, I have come on this earth to do Your work. My Lord, Your váńiis, Your teachings are the vital force of my life. They are my prana dharma and very important for me. I will meditate on my Guru and propagate His greatness. Baba, the Parama Purusa, whether sleeping, dreaming, or when awake and conscious, by Your sweet will I shall not recite, chant, or sing anything but Your holy name...

Europe is also banning veils

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Perhaps you know that in ancient India, there was no custom of using veils among the women. During the last part of the Pathan rule and in the early days of the Mughal period [16th-19th c.], the veil was forcibly imposed on the women of some aristocratic families in Burdwan, so that others could not see the ladies’ faces. Burdwan was the capital of Bengal.”
“Over a period of time, the use of the veil spread to other areas. Muslim rule was not firmly established in south India, so the veil was not introduced there. You will notice that even today the women of south India use garbhakas in the evenings.”
“I remember some years ago at Anandanagar I said that my daughters coming to Anandanagar need not cover their heads because it is the home of their father. Girls do not use veils at their parents’ house. I remember that it was the first time for the married women of north India to give up their veils. Many years have passed since then. The custom of using veils has disappeared from many urban areas of north India and is fast disappearing from the rural areas as well. That particular incident at Anandanagar set a healthy trend in this regard. This was a step forward in the direction of women’s emancipation [in north India]. An auspicious beginning indeed!” (1)

Note: Many countries in Europe have just passed and implemented laws banning veils.

Attached video: Converting Hindus into Muslims

Namaskar,

See how this speaker is saying how they should recruit Hindus into Muslims in order to gain a majority in India. If every Muslim converts five Hindus then they will capture the majority in India.

Ananda Marga philosophy is against any type of conversion. Ignorant people convert others for the wrong reasons. Those getting converted do not know what they are doing. This type of approach is not good as it brings chaos and unrest in the society.

In all the religions you have to lock up your thinking power and throw the key into the ocean. In Ananda Marga everything is logical.

Ananda Marga is a way of life and does not convert anybody. It is not a religion.

in Him,
Ramdeva

Higher post should not be entrusted to debased & corrupt persons

Please read Baba’s following teaching which gives a clear indication about the type of leadership needed in Ananda Marga. Specifically, can XYZ type of persons be the leader - whether that be on the village, regional, sectorial, or global level - or are special qualifications needed? If so what are those traits and characteristics required of a leader. All these answers and more are addressed in Guru’s below teaching.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “A rśi [sage] has said: Samamantreńa jáyate iti samájah [“Society is the collective movement of a group of individuals who have decided to move together towards a common goal”]. That is, whether people are pápii or tápii [sinners or victims], thieves, criminals, or characterless individuals, they are so only superficially; internally they are filled with the potential for purity. The principal object of the sadvipras is to explore and bring this potentiality into play. They will accord human value to everyone without exception. Those who have done hateful crimes must be punished, but sadvipras will never hate them, or put an end to them by depriving them of food, because sadvipras are humanists. The pandits puffed up with vainglory could turn their attention to their books instead of attending on the ailing non-Hindu Haridas, but Chaitanya Mahaprabhu found it  impossible to remain indifferent to him. He took Haridas in his arms and nursed him carefully, and thus showed respect to human value.”

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “However, when the question of social responsibility arises, it must be considered with great care. Irresponsible people cannot be entrusted with social responsibility, because those who shoulder social responsibility will have to lead humanity on the path of development, and correct the ways of sinners. If they themselves are of evil mentality, it will not be possible for them to discharge their social responsibility. It has been said: “The collective body of those who are engaged in the concerted effort to bridge the gap between the first expression of morality and establishment in universal humanism is called society.” So social responsibility should be entrusted to those who are capable of discharging it creditably. If moralism is the starting-point of the journey of society, then those who are at its helm must be moralists. And since society aims to establish universalism, those people must be universalists. And if the gap between moralism and universal humanism is to be bridged, spiritual sádhaná is a must, so those people must practise rigorous sádhaná. Their philosophy of life must be, “Morality is the base, sádhaná is the means, and life divine is the goal.””

“This great responsibility must never be entrusted to those who are themselves criminals. Unless and until such people correct themselves, they will not be given any social value, though in no way will they be denied human value. At present social value is given importance, but those who are selected to discharge social responsibility do not possess the aforesaid qualities. They have occupied their posts on the strength of their money or on the basis of patronage, but this has not resulted in any collective welfare. That is why there is an instruction in our social scripture:”

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Do not be misled by anyones tall talk. Judge merit by seeing the performance. Remember, whatever position one is in offers sufficient opportunity to work. One whose character is not in accordance with Yama-Niyama should not get opportunity [[to become]] a representative.… to [[vest]] an incompetent person with power means to push society towards destruction knowingly and deliberately.”

“The sadvipras will install qualified persons in power, and the social order which will be evolved by virtue of their leadership will give due importance to one and all. In this new society based on Neohumanism, everyone will find their life worth living. All will regain their lost positions of honour.” (1)
