Overthrowing vaeshyas & historical lessons

Namaskar,

Now that we are in the midst and nearing the climax of the vaeshyan era, before conducting any type of revolution, we should remember the lessons of the past. Here is an important sequence of teachings given by Baba about waging revolution.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Key guidelines for revolutionary action in vaeshyan era

#1: First Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar guides that a true revolutionary will have to have genuine love for humanity, and to look upon others with sincere sympathy.

Prout philosophy says, "Like any other problem, great or small, there is only one way to solve economic problems, and that is through genuine love for humanity. This love will give people guidance; it will show them what to do and what not to do. It is not necessary to study great numbers of books or to rely upon those who speculate with the future of the silent masses. The only essential requirement is to look upon humanity with genuine sympathy." (1)

#2: Next Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar warns that true revolutionaries should focus on transforming the human condition and not engage in violence for violence sake, disregarding the economic plight of the fallen.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy says, "Those who, on the other hand, believe in violence, but do not believe in changing human hearts through spiritual practices and spiritual education, argue that the capitalists have plundered the wealth of society for so long that the question of compensation does not even arise. Those who have genuine love for humanity, however, cannot accept either of those viewpoints." (2)

#3: Then Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar warns us that not all landowners are millionaires etc, many of them are physically weak, economically needy, and compromised in other ways, so they should be compensated for their losses as a result of any revolutionary action.

Prout philosophy says, "Not all those who own land or industry are healthy, able-bodied or young. Many of them are sick, invalids or elderly, and some are widows and minors. If all their property is forcibly confiscated without compensation, what situation will they be in? Furthermore, not all property owners are rich. Many are poor or belong to the lower middle class. Even if the policy of compensation or exchanging one property for another of similar value is not accepted, those who cherish genuine love for humanity will take a sympathetic view of the plight of those who find themselves in difficulty due to nationalization, and will act accordingly. A monthly pension or a lump sum should be allocated to old people, invalids, children and destitute women. Opportunities to earn a decent livelihood must be provided to all those, young or middle-aged, who are able-bodied and healthy, if they have no alternative means of support. Such employment opportunities should take into consideration their abilities as well as their needs." (3)

Horrors of French Revolution should not be repeated

A similar situation is happening now, as occurred in the pre-French Revolution era, whereby a minute portion of the population controls all the wealth and the masses are starving. This type of economic polarisation is occurring today. Should a similar type of revolution happen in this present era, then certain blunders must not be repeated.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Unfortunately, during the French Revolution, when the people revolted against the monarchy, all the exploiters and their kith and kin were mercilessly killed - including the king and queen, their advisors, the high priests, the noble class, as well as their elderly parents and young children. All suffered miserable torture during the bloody uprising.

Now, in this vaeshyan era, a similar mistake should not be repeated. When, due to a rise of social consciousness, the common people take aim at those capitalist exploiters, then it is imperative that they do not unduly harm or punish those ruling exploiters, their confidants, nor the elderly parents and / or young offspring of such exploiters. Just as patients suffer in different ways - physically or psychically etc - we should treat capitalists as patients who suffer from a psychic disease. Sadly, they goaded their infinite (psychic) desire toward finite (physical) things. We should help cure them of this ailment. That should be our aim - not to harm them.

Conclusion

All should be cared for and given scope to participate in the new social order. No one should be persecuted, banished, or killed. Rather, once rectified of their capitalistic tendencies, they should have the opportunity to pursue a proper social life. This type of humanitarian approach is essential.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Prout philosophy states, “We are to fight capitalism and not the capitalists. We are to wipe out this ism from human society because this ism is paralysing humanity. The capitalists are suffering from a sort of mental ailment, and it is our foremost duty to radically cure them by diverting their physical thirst towards psychic and spiritual pursuits.” (4)

In Him,
Sukhadeva

The above is our Prout policy as given in "Human Society - 1." If you are interested to learn more then read Prout in a Nutshell parts 1 - 21.

Cunning exploitative strategy

Prout philosophy states, “Psycho-economic exploitation is the latest form of dangerous and all-devouring capitalist exploitation. It is a special type of exploitation which first weakens and paralyses people psychologically in various ways, and then exploits them economically. Some of the methods of psycho-economic exploitation include, first, the suppression of the indigenous language and culture of local people; secondly, the extensive propagation of pseudo-culture, exemplified by pornographic literature which debases people’s mind and particularly undermines the vitality of the youth; thirdly, the imposition of numerous restrictions on women, forcing them to be economically dependent on men; fourthly, an unpsychological education system with frequent political interference by vested interests; fifthly, the negation of dharma in the name of secularism; sixthly, the balkanization of society into numerous castes and groups; seventhly, the damaging of society by the use of unnatural and harmful methods of birth control; and eighthly, placing the control of different mass media, such as newspapers, radio and television, in the hands of capitalists. Both intellectual exploitation and psycho-economic exploitation are great dangers to the human race today.” (5)

Humans: when tail disappeared

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "In that era people used to live in trees. They used to secure themselves to the tree or the tree branch with their tail so that they would not fall out of the tree while they were asleep. Later on, when human beings began to build temporary dwellings in the trees, the possibility of falling out diminished. Naturally, since the need for a tail diminished, the tail became smaller. Later still, when human beings learned to build permanent dwellings on the ground the need for a tail completely disappeared. Since there is no need for a tail now, there is no tail. The need for a tail disappeared some hundreds of thousands of years ago. There is, however, a truncated bone at the base of the backbone which is a carryover from that past time. It is present in the fetus while it is in its mother's womb. Thereafter the tail does not grow in proportion to the rest of the body. By the time the human child is born the tail is no longer outside the body. A somewhat similar thing happens with frogs. The tadpole has a tail but when it gets bigger it falls off. This all happens in the path of emanation." (1)

Beware of this type of desire

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "There are seven kinds of luminous bodies: yakśa, siddha, gandharva, kinnara, vidyádhara, Prakrtiliina and videhaliina. They are categorized according to their respective psychologies. Suppose there is a very elevated person who often ideates on the Supreme Consciousness, but who has some greed for wealth. He does not, however, express it openly to the Supreme, nor does he even think of it directly. He thinks indirectly, "Oh, since I am a devotee of the Supreme Consciousness, He will certainly give me enormous wealth and make me immensely rich." Those who harbour this sort of covert desire are reborn as yaks'as." (1)

Note: Yaksas are one type of degraded being - i.e. those unfortunate ones who cannot get human framework because they are under punishment. Only after extreme punishment, after exhausting so many negative samskaras, may they again get human life. Once they attain human form they will need to get tantric initiation, adhere to the code of yama and niyama, and do maximum sadhana. Then after much effort, only by His grace, may they get moksa. So theirs is a long and arduous journey as they must suffer for millions of years. That is why meditating on money is very bad.

Some sadhaka businessmen and money-minded sadhakas who are indulged day and night in money matters will suffer in this way. They will be degenerated into yaksas. After facing punishment for millions of years, then who knows on which planet they may get the opportunity to live human life and do proper work and service. But if they again indulge in money matters, they will become yaksas (degraded beings) and this cycle will be repeated. They will spin round and round in this torturous pattern.

That is why Baba warns us that when one has a human body then the goal must be Parama Purusa - not money.

External rituals cannot bring spiritual gain

Here Baba condemns the use of such dogmatic malas and rosary beads etc.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "I have said it before and I say it again, that Sádhaná means fight against Avidyá. This fight is internal, not external. External or ostentatious fight will achieve nothing. In such a fight one's entire capability culminates in the acrobatics of dressing and decorating of one's exterior with málá (a rosary or string of beads for saying prayers), tilaka (a conspicuous mark between the eyebrows with sandalwood-paste or vermilion, jholá (a little sack for the rosary) and candan-chápa (or the mark of sandalwood paste on the forehead, arms and chest). Instead, spiritual aspirants have to fight against their inner, base propensities, and when they will wear the crown of victory, they will then realize that there is absolutely no difference between them and Brahma – they have become Brahma Himself." Beauty industry harms females + 4 more

Baba
Beauty industry harms females

Namaskar,

In the past, people used to cure and treat their skin with oil. With the start and rise of industrialisation, the cosmetic industry came into existence. Initially, companies started making products to protect the skin from the cold and heat. And later on the cosmetics industry amped up its exploitative machinery. With sensual ads, newer and newer tips were given to enhance your “beauty” and make you look younger - all by application of their so-called products.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Nakedness is harmful for women & beneficial for corporations

Still those capitalists were not satisfied - rather their greed multiplied. With their devious propaganda machinery, they targeted the female population to expose more skin. To do this, the reigning cosmetics firms made an unholy alliance with the fashion industry. Indeed, if you go back 50 - 80 years or more, female clothing covered most or all of the body. And now female clothes have been reduced to almost nothing.

By this way both industries (cosmetics and fashion) exploited the general populace and grossed billions of dollars. The fashion industry saved money by using less raw materials to make scanty clothing that sold at exorbitant prices in the name of high fashion. As this continued, more skin got exposed. And by this way the cosmetic industry got a bumper crop. With so much skin exposed, people had to beautify those large areas of exposed skin like their entire leg, their entire arm front and back, as well as their shoulders, neck and upper back etc. So this is indeed a very large area. In the past only the face was beautified. But now there are far more exposed areas of the body and more products are needed to beautify those areas. So more skin care products were sold. And new products were created. Both the cosmetics and fashion industries became mega-rich, full of mega-corporations.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

The situation became even more degraded when child porn became a huge online business by antisocial elements. Then females felt the need to look even younger and more innocent, having less hair on the body. Indeed, those women who wear bikinis etc not only shave their underarms but their pubic area as well.

Females duped: tri-headed monster: beauty, fashion, & cosmetics

Sadly, the ignorant public wholly bought into this and did not realise they were getting exploited and cheated. With the baring of the body came the removal of joint hair. That became the standard for female beauty. Essentially, when joint hair was exposed by scanty clothing, women started removing their joint hair. Prior to that they were not removing their joint hair. And then it became pervasive - and if any woman did not shave, wax, or remove their bodily hair they were tagged as ugly, manly, grotesque, and even animalistic. And verily now if you go to the store in any materialistic country, the sheer number of so-called beauty, skin-care products is absolutely staggering and mind-numbing. And the irony is that all those chemicals in those products harmed the body, and removing the joint hair ruined the glandular system etc. So it was a double-loss. But the society had been duped so badly, they had no idea.

By and large, the whole concept of beauty has been hijacked by the cosmetics industry. And their sole goal is to earn maximum money. And the easiest way to lure the general society is to kindle their lower propensities. Degradation is easy, whereas elevating the mind towards higher ideals is quite difficult. So the tri-headed monster of the beauty, fashion, and cosmetics industries just pushed society deeper and deeper into degradation. Until finally, the vital force was completely squeezed from the common people and they became prime targets of exploitation.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Pawns for male satisfaction

To fulfil their greedy desires, those industry leaders bought film stars, athletes, pop artists, and social divas as their models and spokespersons etc. That was one more nail in the coffin for the common people who now had to spend and purchase their way in order to compete with impossibly “high” beauty standards etc. Indeed, those film stars, athletes, pop artists, and social divas all became co-conspirators in this race to exploit. It was all just a sham and the ones who suffered the most were females who became 100% pawns for male satisfaction. The fashion / beauty / cosmetics industries framed females in this way. And sadly, the society bought into it completely.

Removing joint hair terribly detrimental to the mind

Without hair in the joints, the perspiration spreads creating a particularly putrid odor. On this matter, one should not be swayed by pseudo-culture and underworld literature and values. If one is swayed by those forces and removes the joint hair, they will face various health problems and it will be terribly detrimental to the mind as well.

There are innumerable factors which affect the life and development of a sadhaka. And Sixteen Points is beautifully designed for maximum growth of the human being in all the realms: physical, psycho-physical, psychic, mental, emotional, psycho-spiritual, and spiritual. Keeping the joint hair is one of the Sixteen Points.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ignorant cut joint hair & harm their own health

So the above is a brief look at how the general society around the globe treats the hair of the body - i.e. joint hair. In and around the various countries there is a terrible misconception and wrong understanding about joint hair. In the west, in the modern era, most women have shaved all their bodily hair besides the head. Because the sex oriented capitalist moguls have imposed this idea that females are just objects of enjoyment and their main role in life is to please males. This is the prevailing misguided perspective. After being spoon-fed this misconception, females began shaving off most of their joint and body hair in order to increase their sex appeal. But ultimately, the sad fact is that they just end up ruining their glandular system and body chemistry. This is the tragedy. And in the world, various communities shave their pubic and underarm regions in order to keep themselves cool. But in truth the opposite effect happens. Instead of keeping cool, without joint hair, that body gets overheated in those areas, and the lymphatic glands get disturbed, depriving the body and mind of dozens of benefits. Sadly ignorant people who cut the joint hair undermine their own health and well-being.

The unique aspect about both the armpit and pubic regions is that they are enclosed areas - that's to say the air does not pass freely through those regions. Consequently, they build-up heat, and the heat gets trapped in both the armpit and pubic regions. In order to control that heat build-up and cool those areas, it is essential to let the joint hair grow in those places and apply oil after bathing. That is essential for the overall health of those regions around the joints including the skin, pores, glands, and sub-glands of those areas.

Conclusion

The tantric system of Ananda Marga teachings guides us not to cut the hair of the joints of the body. That bodily hair serves an integral purpose for one’s overall health and mental balance. In particular, it protects the glandular and lymphatic systems which have a very subtle effect on both body and mind. We should educate the common people about this and save them from falling prey to the depraving message of pseudo-culture which projects females as sex objects and pressures them to remove all bodily hair.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

In Him,
Ra’ga’tmika’ Devi

Here are two of Baba's fundamental mandates about joint hair and daily conduct:
(a) Sixteen Points states, "Never cut the hair of the joints of the body." (1)
(b) Caryacarya guides us, "Do not cut the hair of the joints of the body." (2)

Joint hair and rationality

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "If the testes ... there is proper-secretion of hormones, a youth develops the spirit of rationality. The pubic hair grows due to the activity of the testes. This is the physical effect. The development of rationality is the psychic effect. The nervous system will also be affected. If not hindered by the natural flow of the lymphatic glands, ...leads to the development of hair in the arm pits at the age of fifteen to seventeen in hot countries and seventeen to eighteen in cold countries. Along with this the feeling of rationality grows. For example, a boy may say, “No, father, do not ask me to do that. It is not good.”" (3)

Same benefits happens to female also after puberty

Ananda Marga philosophy teaches us, "The function of the lymph is to purify the blood and maintain beauty and glory of the body; and by getting into the glands it enables proper secretion of hormones. For the proper development of innate qualities adequate amount of lymph is necessary. The lymph rises up and gets into the brain thus strengthening it." (4)

Kindly look towards me

PS Intro: This following song is not a very common type of Prabhat Samgiita. In this song, the scene unfolds wherein Parama Purusa is sitting listlessly in the flower garden all by Himself, and the bhakta is trying in many ways to attract His attention. So Parama Purusa is just playing His liila because although He knows everything, here He is pretending as if He is unaware that the bhakta is close by. This type of liila is displayed in this following song.

"Tomáre dekhechi jabe cámpár vane takhan pápaŕi d́háká madhu chilo..." (Prabhat Samgiita #0531)

Purport:

O’ Parama Purusa, the day when I saw You in the campa’ flower garden, that time also the flower's honey vessels were covered by its petals. Underneath the flower petals, there was an accumulation of nectar. I looked toward You with my eyes full of great longing, expectation, and anticipation; but, that was all in vain because You did not respond to me in that hour. One thing is beyond my understanding: Why were You just sitting there listlessly in that flower garden - You did not seem to notice me at all.

O’ Supreme Entity, in various ways I tried to attract Your attention. When I came into the garden I intentionally placed my foot on some dry, crunchy leaves hoping that by that sound You would hear me and wonder, “Who has come, who is here.” Yet, alas, You did not pay any heed. Even though You were not looking towards me, still You were pulling my heart very strongly by the string of bhakti. In spite of Your playful indifference, in my heart the lamp of hope was still glittering. I was keeping the feeling alive within me that Your liila will change and You will kindly look towards me.

So again I tried to attract Your attention. This time my heart was filled with fear and shyness; I could not gather the courage to go directly in front of You. So I just continued moving from a distance with gentle steps looking towards with sincere longing and yearning. Slowly, slowly - from time to time -  I was staring at You with anxious and hopeful eyes, hoping that at least You will bless me by looking towards me and calling me closer to You. Alas, all my wishes and dreams were in vain. That day I understood how Your liila generates a blissful pain in my heart.

O’ Parama Purusa Baba, even then  I continued on with the idea that this liila will end soon, and You will look towards me. That moment the whole atmosphere was charged with the sweet aroma of all those blossoms in the garden. Baba, Your liila is unfathomable. Although You did not look towards me that time, but deep within my core I felt that You are more close than ever. Baba, You graciously pulled my entire existence towards You with the invisible flow of bhakti and tied me in the bond of Your supreme love...

Upside-down AMPS

WT Conduct Rules state: “Obedience is discipline and discipline is obedience.” (1)

One time, thieves wearing military uniforms infiltrated a military campus. And the commander of the thieves ordered all to attention. Those original military soldiers stood at attention while the thieves emptied their arsenal and cash etc. After the incident was reported, the real military leader arrived on the scene and found that all the troops were still standing in attention. Those military chiefs were shocked and questioned their troops about this. Those troops replied, “Look, our whole life we were trained to follow the order and maintain discipline. It was drilled into us to follow whatever our bosses say. We do not care which boss it is, but until we get the next order, how can we break our stance.”

Conclusion: In this story the commander thief is Rudrananda, and the military troops following the order are regular Wts. The thieves are looting everything, and Wts do not know if the commander is the saviour or destroyer of the military. This happens only in a blind kingdom. In ideal scenarios, this is laughable. In any civilised nation if the commander goes against the constitution then the military revolts - or even shoots their commander. In that case, they are protected by the constitution. But in AMPS, anti-social elements are controlling and obedient Wts are following mindlessly. They lost all their common sense. In following their so-called discipline, they are destroying the constitution of Ananda Marga. What nonsense is going on in the name of discipline.

Which term to use: bhakta or devotee

In various discourses Baba differentiates between bhaktas and devotees. In brief, bhaktas are only those who have love for God, who love Parama Purus'a. There is no other use or meaning of the term 'bhakta'. Whereas people can be devoted to all sorts of things etc. A wife may be devoted to her husband. Various pets may be very devoted to their master. So being devoted has various insinuations and meanings whereas the use of the term bhakta is very specific and pointed.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "'Well, we've grown quite old. Having reached such a ripe old age, if we eat without doing some kind of ritualistic worship, people will speak ill of us and criticize us. So we'd better follow the ritualistic formalities by chanting a few mantras'. This category of bhakta is called `sattvika bhakta.' They don't ask for any material thing no doubt, but they ask for liberation as they have reached the last stage of life. Parama Purusa may or may not grant liberation to these bhaktas. One thing which is sure is that they won't attain Him because they want liberation, but not Parama Purusa [moksa] Himself." (1)

Note: A great bhakta wants only Parama Purusa, not anything else.

Keep away from this type of mentality

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "How one person sings melodious songs, how another dances beautiful rhythmic dances, how another delivers wonderful discourses, etc. But we cannot see the entity who pulls the strings from behind and runs the show. And the funniest thing is this: the speaker, the singer, the dancer thinks that he or she is the agent, the doer, and takes the entire credit for the performance. People do not care to think of the entity that pulls the strings from behind, or if they are even more foolish, they think that others see them alone, not the entity who pulls the strings from behind." (1)

Note 1: In the world, many people are in awe by seeing the work of others. But those who feel this way are very shortsighted. They think with their own merit XYZ is doing. But the reality is that on the world’s stage whatever people do, their energy comes from Parama Purusa. Those who have spiritual eyes see that nobody is doing anything. Rather Parama Purusa is supplying the energy. So all credit goes to Parama Purusa. So they never get wonderstruck.

The worst among all are those who stand on the stage and brag about their own merits. They forget that if Parama Purusa does not give energy for even a millisecond they will cease to exist. Because of their extreme blindness, they glorify themselves up to the moon. Watch out for such ignorant people.

Note 2: Under the spell of avidya maya many persons think that all credit goes to them for their great deeds. The number of such persons is huge. But according to Baba's above guideline in the spiritual way of thinking they are fools. We should be careful and save ourselves from falling into this category of fools.
