Deadly: rallying around religion
Namaskar,
From time to time, during one crisis or another, various religious leaders come on one platform and vow to take a united stand and work amicably. By this show the public gets befooled. Their words sound good but ultimately the religions are a very dangerous rallying point for human society.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
Religions are inherently antagonistic towards others
Those working for the welfare of society know that rallying around the various religions is both poisonous and deadly. Each religion proclaims themselves superior and that the followers of their religion are the chosen ones, while others are not even human but creatures of hell - doomed forever.
For example, Muslims term Jews as pigs, and vice versa. The Christians think all non-Christians are heretics and vile - fit for hell fire. Every religion is antagonistic towards the other religions. They each preach unity within their own religion - and hatred without. In day to day living, blind adherents of a particular religion harbour enmity towards the followers of other religions.
Most surprisingly, those who are not dedicated followers of any of the religions think the various religions can be united and live in harmony. Those people do not follow a particular religion, do not study the scripture or any creed, nor do they listen to the words of those preachers. Yet somehow, they think those religions can bring peace and social justice. They live in the dark thinking that religious unity can bring welfare to society. This is just their ignorance.
Remember, as long as the various religions exist and their provincial teachings are preached - there will be blind believers of those poisonous ideas who spread hatred and venom between the various religions. Religion itself is the problem - not a rallying point for unity in times of crisis.

Ananda Marga is not like that. Our sermon is that the entire creation is of one Supreme Entity - all are kith and kin and the loving children of Parama Purusa - whether they are margiis or not. No religion thinks like this.
Conversion or a river of blood
Some religions forcibly bring others into their religion and kill those who refuse to join. Some religions preach that the only way to be saved is to join their religion so they perform conversions at the sword. The main point is that whenever religions are the leading force in society and rule with a powerful arm, there will be a river of blood.
Nowadays, there are regulsr religious riots and killings in Africa - especially between Christians and Muslims. And the Catholic church has been called out for their horrific role in the Rwanda genocide in the 90's. When those same religions ruled over Europe etc, they were extremely deadly and dangerous. Whenever and wherever religions get scope to grab the upper hand there is hell to pay in society. And then of course the there is siege and battle unfolding as we speak between Israel and the radical Hamas Muslim group.
Here below Sadguru warns us of the elitist, harmful sentiments associated with the various religions.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "In the middle ages some selfish people proclaimed to the backward masses, “I am the messenger of God. whatever I say is a revelation from god,” just to inject fear and terror into people's minds. Was it beneficial for humanity to have such doctrines imposed on them in this way?" (1)
Communal hatred and orgies of genocide
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Almost every religion has claimed that only its followers are God's chosen people and that the rest of humanity is cursed and bound by the chains of Satan. One religion has declared, “Our prophet is the only saviour. There is no escape from mundane sufferings except by taking refuge in him.” Another religion has declared, “I am the last prophet. Prayers must be said before God a specific number of times in a certain manner each day. Special animals must be sacrificed on particular days. These are the wishes of merciful God. Those who follow these injunctions will attain heaven on the Day of Judgement.” Yet another religion says, “Know ye, my son, thy God is the only God. All other gods are false gods.” Just imagine, all these religions preach universal fraternity, and yet this universal fraternity is kept within the confines of their own community. Humanity gasps for breath at such preposterous claims of universal fraternity."
"Carried away by the grandiose slogans of their respective religions, the followers of these religions have at different times whipped up a frenzy of communal hatred and indulged in orgies of genocide." (2)
And here Baba guides us that the various religions can never bring forth unity and peace in society.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Through such religions it is next to impossible to establish unity in the society. Religious differences should be minimized as much as possible, but it should be remembered that blind faith in a religion cannot be forcibly eliminated. To strike at any type of sentiment will only cause that sentiment to grow stronger." (3)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “How far is the unification of all religions possible? Ans.: – To seek infinite bliss is the only dharma of humanity. Humanity has but one dharma. Thus, the question of the unification of religions does not arise. The apparent dissimilarity between various religions arising due to differences in their ritualistic practices is not a spiritual difference. Whenever rituals dominate and efforts to attain bliss are feeble, whatever that may be, it is not spirituality.” (4)
Dharma (Ananda Marga) vs religion
Here is a poignant contrast on how our Ananda Marga is universal Dharma (Ananda Marga) whereas all those religions are based on their own limited platform.
(1A) Religion does not permit any scope of inquiry. The concepts in religion are purely theoretical not backed by experimental verification.
(1B) In Dharma (Ananda Marga) the theoretical concepts are derived out of experimental verification.
(2A) Religion postulates enhanced material enjoyment by placing God within an imaginary heaven.
(2B) The basic concept of Dharma (Ananda Marga) is that ‘HE’ exists and that HE is within us. The endeavor to search ‘HIM’ within is meditation and the culminating point of this endeavor is aham Brahmasmi (I am Brahma). Dharma leads one towards realization of the self.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
(3A) Religion involves parishram wherein action is guided without inspiration.
(3B) Dharma (Ananda Marga) is perfectly internal wherein the soul inspires the mind to act and the mind inspires the body to act. Action guided by the soul is shrama (free from extroversial tendency).
Dharma (Ananda Marga) vs religion - continued
(4A) Religion operates by creating fear in peoples minds of the fictitious concept of hell and alluring people towards the pleasures of heaven.
(4B) Dharma (Ananda Marga) operates by inspiring people with love for the supreme being. Anandam Brahmmano vidvan maa vibheti kutasc`na (Fear not, God is bliss only).Teaches explicitly not to fear
(5A) Religion claims that all of one's past sins can be washed away if one goes on a pilgrimage or bathes in a holy river etc. (which is irrational).
(5B) Dharma (Ananda Marga) says you have to undergo the requitals of your actions.
(6A) Religion believes that a dip in the holy river (Ganga, Yamuna). It means God is only in these rivers and not in other rivers. If so, why the fishes after living many days inside the holy rivers end up in the mouth of greedy people.
(6B) In Dharma (Ananda Marga), the river or tiirtha is the atma (soul). And a dip is going deep into ideation.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
(7A) Religion believes in physical strength (i.e., preponderance in numbers) and therefore, demands conversion.
(7B) Dharma (Ananda Marga) believes in spiritual strength and therefore, does not require conversion. Therefore, dharma is the only path to and Ananda Marga is the only dharma. The practice of Yama (control over external expressions) and Niyama (internal purification).
Ananda Marga ideology transforms everything into gold
Sadguru Baba says:
“Ananda Marga alone is dharma and all the rest are sectisms.” (5)
“A’nanda Ma’rga is that path of progress, and that is why A’nanda Ma’rga is the only alternative for the preservation of human existence and civilization.” (6)
“A correct spiritual ideology is the only solution to the problems confronting the world. From this perspective we can call Ananda Marga ideology the philosophers’ stone. Just as the philosophers’ stone is meant to transform everything into gold, Ananda Marga ideology can, most definitely, find a just and rational solution whenever it is applied to any problem.” (7)
“The books in Ananda Marga philosophy are all absolute knowledge. The proper mark of identity of absolute knowledge is that it must be universal, rational and psychological.” (8)
Namaskar,
in Him,
Candramohan
Religious discussion encouraged
Here below Baba guides us that we should engage in respectful discussions on the philosophical tenets of the various religions.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Read any so-called religious book: one will seldom find anything resembling tolerance of the religious beliefs of others...If necessary, different views can be compared and presented in philosophical books. The philosophical and psychological loopholes in an argument may be pointed out without being disrespectful.” (9)

Melody satiates the heart
"E gán ámár jiivaner ananda dhárá,anádi hote anantate..." (Prabhat Samgiita #4505)
Purport:
Parama Purusa, this unique mystical song and kiirtana, the tune and chant of my mantra, is the flow of bliss in my life. This composition features the ekta'ra' instrument of my heart, since eternity to infinity. It vibrates me spiritually always. It goes on and on giving me perennial inspiration.
All-pervading Entity, these mesmerizing lyrics will not bow down to any types of difficulties, obstacles, or hindrances and do not hurt anyone's mental feeling. Rather they love and help everyone. This melody satiates the heart and has infinite joy. It is so supremely intoxicating that the mind loses its identity in endless bliss and becomes one with that most charming Entity - i.e. Parama Purusa.
My Cosmic One Baba, this neo-humanistic song never surrenders at the altar of crudity and dogma and never praises any mortal beings. It never succumbs to superficial or materialistic values. Just it moves ahead along the path of Your perfect ideology. This musical piece is full of divine refulgence and only accepts that singular Polestar as the Parama Purusa; it believes only His greatness, His glory.
Baba, this exquisite sublime composition is the ocean of bliss. It saturates my whole being with that blissful, unique flow...
Note for Prabhat Samgiita #4505:
[1] Ekta'ra': Although it literally means a single string musical instrument, this term also symbolizes the grand idea how the sadhaka's mind is one-pointed towards Ista - Baba. Indeed no other ideas are coming in the sadhaka's mind. The bhakta is completely absorbed in His ideation and focused on Baba. Baba, is the goal of life. In this way the ekta'ra' term is moving.

About dharmacakra
Ananda Marga Philosophy states, “The indomitable mental force aroused as a result of collective Iishvara-Pranidhana will help you in solving any problem small or big on this earth. It is for this reason that you should always have a zeal to attend the weekly Dharmacakra regularly.” (A Guide To Human Conduct, last page)
Dharmacakra Means ‘Family Of Dharma’
Note 1: In His Encyclopedia – “Laghu Nirukta” – on page 191 Baba explains that one of the meanings of ‘cakra’ is family, society, collection, or body. Thus the real meaning of dharmacakra is ‘family of dharma’. Similarly Brahmacakra means ‘family of Brahma’. We all know that the family of creation is the entire family of Brahma.
Note 2: Baba is the Propounder of Ananda Marga philosophy and in that philosophy He has used various Sanskrit terms. To clarify the meaning of those terms Baba has given His own grammar books and encyclopedias etc. So those who want to learn AM philosophy indepthly should study Baba’s teachings on grammar also. Otherwise many concepts will remain beyond one’s grasp.

Some Die Of Starvation, And Some Die Due To Overeating
"Then there is disparity due to birth – disparity between people of higher caste and people of so-called lower caste. People of a particular country die of starvation, and people of another country die due to overeating due to voracity. It is a disparity – it is bad. It is a creation of selfish people, not of Parama Puruśa. The Renaissance movement will have to do something concrete in this respect also. All are equal, with equal glamour as human beings."
