In our human society, there is no dearth of so-called celebrities. In politics, Hollywood / Bollywood, big business, and sports etc, there are all kinds of so-called heroes who are famous throughout the globe. They are thought of as being great and magnificent. They are revered all over and receive huge attention. Yet hardly anyone knows the truly great personalities who come onto this earth, teach and guide humanity, and pioneer new fields of knowledge. They are mostly overlooked in their lifetime.

Why are self-engrossed stars embraced by the general public, whereas, selfless, well-wishers of humanity are overlooked by society. What is the reason behind this?  What is the cause of this condition. Why is it that those on the path of dharma are not wholly embraced and adored by the masses.


Judges are blind


The answer is that judges are blind. The common public is the judge, and it is well-proven that the common people are fools. Why is it so?

This is the nature of srsti cakra or creation. Parama Purusa has designed the cycle of brahmacakra whereby sadhana is the final phase before attaining moksa. There are a maximum number of people moving on this earth who are not on the path of sadhana because they directly came from animal life. So they are involved in their animalistic instincts. As Ananda Margiis, our role is to try and convince and guide them onto the path of sadhana. They may not listen and they may instead indulge in all kinds of lower and worldly propensities. This is the divine drama or liila of Parama Purusa. With this outlook, Ananda Margiis will never get frustrated because they understand that their duty is to raise the banner of dharma. That is the grand liila of Parama Purusa.

Sadhakas should not seek out the praise of the common people. The general population is of a lesser psychic standard. To gain their adulation, one will have to plunge themselves in all kinds of degrading behaviour.

In order to become an examiner one has to know more than the student. Then you can teach and evaluate that learner. In that vein, a dog cannot evaluate a human beings and determine who is great. That dog only understands food; they think those who provide food are the best. Likewise, the standard of the common mass is low and they cannot think beyond their level. If someone is just a little bit above the common standard then the general public adores them. Just as a dog salutes another dog that is a little bit bigger and stronger. But that same dog will not understand the greatness of a human being. That dog lacks the requisite ability. It is not their fault, just they are unable. 

In a similar way, the common human standard is very low, close to animals. For millions of years they were submerged in animal life so they still like to indulge in those animal propensities. That is why they get attracted to those who create degrading dances, dramas, and events that trigger their propensities. Then they prostrate to that person. They revere that individual as someone great. But if someone is truly very high then the general populace cannot fathom the greatness of that person. So they ignore that great personality. That is the reason why when Mahasambhuti comes the common public is oblivious. 


Conclusion


Baba has blessed us with eyes to see. We should not care about public opinion, rather we should look only towards Him. Then we will keep a balanced mind and be ready to carry out His orders and dharmic teachings. Focusing on Parama Purusa will lead one to greatness and the Goal. We are to serve and please Him. That will bring welfare to all. And while great sadhakas may not get the respect and praise of the common people at present, but when society gradually grows they will come to appreciate those contributions. It could take a few decades, a few centuries, or even longer till new values are embraced. Now people appreciate those pioneers of old, but at that time the people threw stones on them and treated them as unwanted. There are countless examples of this. Same is the case with true margiis and acaryas. In the due course everyone will pay heed to what those sadhakas have done on this earth, by His grace.

By the above discussion it is very clear that to become very famous you have to lower your standard and that is not good and bring yourself close to animals. Just a razor thin line above the common standard. That is the best way to gain prestige. That is why good people are not famous as they do not want to degenerate to become famous.

Rare to understand & follow dharma


Ananda Marga ideology states, "You should remember that those who are the actual pioneers, the real vanguard of the society, are always a microscopic minority, but it is they who are destined to be victorious. Those who once opposed, or are now opposing or will oppose in the future, will in the future admit: “Yes, we are now driving our vehicle safely and comfortably along the very path which that vanguard once opened by clearing the jungle.” This means that those who cleared the obstacles in the beginning will later be recognized as pioneers. The funny thing is this, that people do not give recognition at the time it is due. This is the natural law." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Suppose there is a virtuous discussion going on somewhere. If you invite two hundred people to this discussion, you will find that only sixty invitees have turned up, at the most. Out of these participants about ten or twelve people at most listen with patience and devotion to the talks; and out of these listeners, only some properly understand the subject discussed. Then again, out of this small group that has understood, only a very few may retain in their minds what they have understood. Lastly, only one or two persons of this last group may practice in their daily lives what they have learnt and understood. This is only due to the clash between vidyá and avidyá in the mind, and in this clash the triumph of avidyá or the extroversive force means running from the introversive bent of vidyá. It is because of the samskaras of animality that the introversive momentum is rare in the average human mind. The sensuous desires of avidyá continue to infiltrate into every thought process. Such a situation continues for a long time in a sádhaka’s life." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Among so many people in our human society, very few get the opportunity to acquire spiritual knowledge. And among these, a still smaller percentage get the chance to undergo practical training. Why? Because the science is rare, the aspirants are rarer, and the teachers are rarer still." (3)


Very few learn & embody dharmic ideals


Ananda Marga ideology states, “Even after getting human life, only a few get the opportunity to listen to dharmika discourses. Among those, only a few develop the desire to practise dharma sádhaná. And even among these, only a few actually grasp the spirit of sádhaná. Those rare ones who understand, perform sádhaná, and reach the goal are truly blessed. In the effort to perfect oneself, even if one faces obstacles and hindrances from one’s elders and near ones, one must ignore them. This is not a sin, not a crime." (4)

Yuktihiina vicáre tu dharmahánih prajáyate.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “If a child says something rational, it should be accepted, and if the Supreme Creator says something irrational, it should be totally rejected. It is undesirable to accept something just because it is written in the scriptures, because if irrational sayings are accepted and implemented, the decline of dharma will be the result.” (1)

Here is the way Tiljala Publication has published the below paragraph in the Yogic Treatments book. Pay special attention to the yellow highlighted terms.

Tiljala Publications wrote: "Taking excessive fatty and oily food and not undertaking a proportional amount of physical labour loads the human nervous system down with fat, and as a result it becomes impossible for the nerves to properly assist the heart. As a result the heart becomes weak. Fat accumulated in the nerves and blood vessels terribly hampers the blood circulation, and in order to maintain the circulation, the heart is forced to overwork. As a consequence the heart soon becomes weak." (1)

By reading the above, it is clear that the yellow highlighted terms in the above passage are incorrect. 


Corrected version

Here below are the suggested changes in bracketed bold red font to correct the blunders by Tiljala Publications.

"Taking excessive fatty and oily food and not undertaking a proportional amount of physical labour loads the human nervous system [circulatory system] down with fat, and as a result it becomes impossible for the nerves [arteries] to properly assist the heart. As a result the heart becomes weak. Fat accumulated in the nerves [arteries] and blood vessels terribly hampers the blood circulation, and in order to maintain the circulation, the heart is forced to overwork. As a consequence the heart soon becomes weak." (2)

Note: Anyone person, young or old, who has taken even the most basic level class in biology or human anatomy will easily realize that the way the Tiljala Publications presented this section is completely wrong. Sadguru Baba is the all-knowing Taraka Brahma, and it is our duty to ensure that His books are published with the highest accuracy and utmost integrity. Sadly, time and time again, Tiljala Publications proves that their work is flawed and clearly not up to the mark.

The first democratic state


Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The first written constitution was framed by the Licchavi Dynasty of Vaeshali (in northern Bihar) in ancient India over 2500 years ago. Prior to that, the words of the king were law and kings ruled according to the advice of their ministers. The first republican democracy was established by the Licchaviis. The Licchavi Republic comprised some portion of Muzzaffarpur, portions of Begusharai, Samastipur and Hajipur between the Gandaka and Kamala rivers, all in the present state of Bihar. It was the first democratic state and they had their own written constitution." (1)

Why industrial decentralization 

Prout philosophy states, "We cannot neglect even a single living being in this creation, nor can we ignore the smallest part of the universe. So, as far as possible, the industrial system should be organized according to the principle of decentralization. Industrial development in one part of the world cannot satisfactorily eradicate poverty or unemployment in another part. Therefore, in the industrial system, it is necessary to build up numerous self-sufficient units, at least for those industrial and agricultural commodities which are considered to be essential for maintaining life. Otherwise people will have to suffer tremendous hardships during war and other abnormal circumstances. With the development of transportation and communication, the size of these units can be expanded." (1)

अपनी अनोखी  लीला के भीतर  मनमाने ढंग से सबको नचाते रहते हो।

प्रभात संगीत  3291 तोमाके चिने ओथा दाय, ओत प्रोत भावे थाकिलेव, धरा नाही जाय ...

परिचय- तन्त्र में तीन रास्ते हैं ज्ञान , कर्म और भक्ति। यह गीत ज्ञानमार्गियों के लिये है अर्थात् जो ज्ञान का  अनुसरण करते हैं। जहाॅं कहीं भक्ति है वहीं परमात्मा हैं। ज्ञानी जो केवल अपनी बुद्धि और तर्क से ही परमपात्मा को पाना चाहते हैं, उन्हें धर्म का पथ क्षुरधार के समान लगता है परंतु साधकों के लिये वह फूल के समान है। चूंकि ईश्वर  को केवल भक्ति से ही पाया जा सकता है इसलिये वह तुम लोगों के साथ हैं, निश्चय  ही तुम्हारी जीत होगी। (आनन्द वचनामृतम भाग 1)

भावार्थ

हे परमपुरुष! तुम सदा ही सब के साथ रहते हो और तुम ओत - प्रोत योग के द्वारा सबके साथ जुड़े रहते  हो। परंतु फिर भी तुमको अनुभव कर पाना बड़ा कठिन है क्योंकि अविद्या माया बार बार पीछे की ओर खींच लेती है। हे  परमपुरुष! तुम सरलता से पकड़ में नहीं आते।

हे दिव्य सत्ता बाबा! तुम अँधेरे   और उजाले   दोनों स्थानों में रहते हो।  सभी जगहों  पर रहते हुए भी तुम छिपे रहते हो, दिखाई नहीं देते । तुम मन की वीणा की सुगंध में नहाये  रहते हो। तुम जीवन के राग ,लय और ताल में मगन  रहते हो। इस संसार  के  अलग अलग रूपों में तुम अपने को लाकर  व्यक्त करते हो फिर भी तुम हमारे मन की पहुंच से दूर ही  रहते हो। कोई भी तुम्हें तुम्हारी  कृपा के बिना प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता।

हे कृपालु बाबा! तुम अपनी इच्छा से सबको  हंसाते या रुलाते रहते हो। सब कुछ तुम्हारी इच्छा से ही होता है। बाबा! तुम अपनी दिव्य  इच्छा से उन्हें इस  विराट  नीले आकाश  में तैराते रहते हो। तुम सबसे बड़े नियंत्रक  हो और अपनी अनोखी  लीला के भीतर  मनमाने ढंग से सबको नचाते रहते हो।  तुम्हारी लीला को कोई भी नहीं जान सकता---
