Story: bhakta from Islam + 2 more

Baba
Story: bhakta from Islam

Namaskar,

Here is one beautiful story of how Baba attracts, protects, and saves all His bhaktas, regardless of their worldly status and qualification.

Back in the early 80′s there was a relatively poor, village farmer named Khush Mohammad, originally of Islamic background. The farmer – hereon referred to as ‘Kailash’ – lived in a Muslim community in Kashiya village (Padaraona) in Utter Pradesh (UP) India. But he was not satisfied and was in search of truth. Many margiis lived in the neighboring villages and Kailash would talk to them regularly.

Sometimes when he was out in the fields and working by himself, Kailash would hear a voice in his mind say, “My son come to Me.” He had no idea who was calling him or from where the voice came. It would only happen when he was alone.

Anubhuti in DMC

One day, while talking with family acarya Dharmendra Rao and some margiis, they encouraged Kailash to attend DMC. Kailash had met many margiis over the years and had developed respect for Ananda Marga. So, without even taking initiation, he decided that he would make the long journey to DMC at Ananda Nagar. It would be an adventure since he rarely left his village.

Upon his arrival at Ananda Nagar, Kailash became quite attracted by all that was going on. The scene was completely enchanting, and the crowd was huge. This was 1982. Up until that time he had not been initiated, even though he knew many margiis. While at DMC, he thought it would be good to learn Ananda Marga sadhana. Thus when he met one Dada, he took initiation. The acarya who initiated Kailash was Dada B.

Later on, inside the pandal, Kailash became very, very inspired; his mind and body became completely vibrated. Sadguru Baba was about to enter the pandal and everyone was raising the slogan, ‘Parama Pita Baba Ki– Jai!!’. It was being repeated again and again, resounding all around; the energy was coming to a climax. The pitch was feverish and the spiritual energy palpable. ‘Parama Pita Baba Ki– Jai!!’; ‘Parama Pita Baba Ki– Jai!!’; ‘Parama Pita Baba Ki– Jai!!’ Suddenly, Baba graciously entered onto the stage and took His special seat. The air was thick with His spiritual vibration.

With perfect composure and charm, Baba began and delivered His subject of discourse and when it drew to a close, He blessed everyone with His varabhaya mudra. In that auspicious moment, Kailash could see nothing but a bright, white effulgence all around. He nearly lost consciousness and felt divinely intoxicated. All he could think about was Baba.

That special bhava – subtle spiritual feeling – continued throughout that DMC and for a few months afterward. When Kailash returned to his village after that DMC, he was no longer the same person. He was often lost in divine bliss.

Left Islam & stopped his namaz

Kailash obviously had a very good samskara. Furthermore, at DMC, he had heard that Kalicharan was initiated at the burial ground. Since returning home, in the afternoons, Kailash would sit for sadhana for 3 or 4 hours in a forested area near his house; and, in the mid of the night, he went out for sadhana at the cemetery. By Baba’s grace, Kailash would easily slip into deep, sustained meditation for hours on end.

Here it should be noted that Kailash lived in a Muslim community as he himself was a born Muslim; and, those locals did not take kindly to Kailash’s new way of living. They became furious and concluded that he had rejected, left Islam, and stopped his Muslim prayar namaz, and converted to the Hindu religion.

They wrongly thought Ananda Marga was a Hindu cult because of various customs: the dress of the sannyasis, the Sanskrit names, the use of mantra, and the practice of sadhana. These Muslim villagers became completely irritated with Kailash for various other reasons as well. For instance, they could not tolerate his new diet whereby
Kailash was giving up all tamasik items, and his zeal for singing and dancing kiirtan. Plus they were put off by the dress of acaryas who came to see him. So these Muslim villagers now considered Kailash a Hindu; and, they became quite angry and disgusted with him.

This became a big problem as Kailash faced tremendous backlash and pressure from his native small, Islamic community. They were outraged by his new way of living and would regularly harass and heckle him. In their dogmatic minds there was nothing worse than the fact that Kailash left their Islamic faith for some Hindu cult. Thus those local Muslims began to stalk Kailash when he did his sadhana, especially at night.

Baba arranges special security

By Baba’s grace, ever since Kailash started doing his night sadhana, a team of dogs would follow him to his meditation place and patrol the entire area – keeping any and all intruders away. Those dogs would encircle and patrol a large section of land and ensure no one came close to Kailash during sadhana.

The strange thing is that these were not those ordinary, emaciated Indian street dogs, but rather healthy, well-manicured large dogs of around 150 pounds. They were breeds of dogs like big rottweilers and German shepherds. To this day, Kailash is unsure from where they came. Yet they accompanied him regularly in night sadhana.

Those dogs would come out from nowhere and follow him to the cemetery. Then they would watch over him while he did sadhana. They would encircle him from around 10 – 15 feet away and guard in all directions. They were fully alert and on the prowl. If they heard anyone coming, those massive dogs would immediately scare away any intruders. Hours later when Kailash finished his sadhana, those guard dogs would accompany Kailash out of the cemetery back home. Just when they reached the outskirts of the village, those dogs would take leave of him and disperse in different directions. Often Kailash tried to find those dogs but all his efforts were in vain. But when it was again time for night sadhana, invariably they would escort him to the cemetery and protect him.

The murder plot & how the tables turned

Those Islamic criminals, over time, realised that they could not get close enough to Kailash to kill him during cemetery sadhana. This only caused their fury to mount. Undeterred, they hatched a plot to murder him because Kailash had left Islam. Already they had applied every measure to scare and threaten him. So now they felt their only recourse was to kill him in some isolated place. But such an opportunity never rose. And the day arrived when they planned to kill Kailash in his home, but the police had already arrived and put Kailash in jail on false charges for a crime.

Three days passed, and then those same Muslim criminals who planned to kill Kailash were caught red-handed in a robbery and arrested in a neighbouring town. During police interrogation, those Islamic criminals admitted that they had committed another crime as well, i.e. the one which Kailash was arrested for. So the case against Kailash was dropped, and Kailash was released from jail.

So now all Kailash’s enemies were locked up in jail and Kailash was free. In desperation, and fearful of divine wrath, those attackers implored and pleaded with Kailash, “Pray to Allah for us. We hatched a conspiracy to kill you and now we are facing the consequences of that negative plot. So please pray for us.” Those attackers had become completely convinced that Kailash had some sort of divine power.

So see how in such a short time the tables completely turned - everything was different. Those enemies of Kailash who had hatched a plot to kill him were now in jail, and Kailash who had been falsely arrested was now free. Kailash could only think how gracious Baba is - no other thought was in His mind. With his newly found freedom, Kailash once again became regular in his night sadhana routine.

Baba is all-merciful

This all goes to show how special Baba’s grace is. He can bring anyone close if He wishes. All the religions are riddled with dogma, but this is especially the case with Islam. That is why there are so few margiis of Islamic background; and that is why it is so difficult to do pracara in those Islamic nations. They will threaten, abuse and even kill any fellow Muslims who feel inspired to try meditation or any such practice that is outside their dogmatic faith. Even then, on this occasion, Baba brought Kailash onto His very Lap.

Ananda Marga is universal. Baba only looks at a person’s heart and never differentiates between rich and poor or any other relative factor. Those with a sincere desire get His unconditional love and affection. Baba graces all.

Reflection: only bhakti is permanent

The above incident teaches us many things, but the main idea is that one’s sadhana and virtuous deeds carry over from one life to the next. Bhakti never evaporates; it is permanent. If one could not reach the Supreme Goal in one life then in the next life they will start off at that very level of spiritual progress. A sadhaka’s spiritual attainment is never lost. That was the case of Kailash. He entered this life with a high degree of bhakti due to the sadhana of his past life. That is why – despite so many external problems – he was able to quickly advance on the path of sadhana and get Taraka Brahma as the Guru. Because the attainment of bhakti is permanent and stays with a sadhaka from life to life.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

In contrast, all the skills and “progress” made in the physical and psychic realms are easily swept away. There is no guarantee one will have those talents and riches in their next life. If one is physically strong in one life then in the next life there is no rule that they will therefore be an Olympic champion, rather they may be physically handicapped. It could easily be like that. Similarly a billionaire could be reborn as a beggar; likewise an intellectual giant might be reborn as a fool. There just is no guarantee of anything in those relative spheres. Only in very rare cases is one reborn with those same talents to a high degree: We call such a person a genius. Again, this is extremely rare and not at all the norm.

Whereas one’s attainment in the spiritual realm is beyond time, space and person. The degree to which one has advanced on the path and reduced the radius with the Lord marks their permanent progress toward salvation. Whatever spiritual progress they made in one life, they will resume their journey from that very spot in their next life. In this way one will go on advancing towards their cherished goal, birth after birth, until they achieve the Supreme Rank and become one with Parama Purusa.

So bhakti is permanent; it carries over from one life to the next, while all other qualities are fleeting. Those with high bhakti in their previous birth will begin their next life with that same high level of bhakti. That is quite apparent in the above story about Kailash.

Namaskar,

In Him,
Amriteshwar Deva

Plagiary?

It is the accepted international standard and Baba's system not to copy another's work and publish it in your own way. Baba has given a very strict rule on plagiarism. Why is Baba against plagiarism or stealing someone's work? There are many reasons:

1) It is against the code of asteya (non-stealing).

2) Countless stories of bhaktas need to be published. But some do not want to do the hard work of compiling and writing these stories, so they just steal them from others. But new stories need to be told, otherwise so many unpublished stories of sadhakas will be lost and forgotten forever. So watch out for story thieves, and kindly help them not to steal by posting on social media in their own way. If you want to forward this story then attach the following yellow section with the story:

“Courtesy of unknown bhakta via Ananda Marga Universal (https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/)”

This will be treated as the standard protocol.

Your heart never melted

PS Intro: In the following song the bhakta is making a loving accusation to Parama Purusa. By Baba's grace such high feelings come when there is extreme intimacy and pure, one-pointed love-- bhakti for Ista. Then in that case the bhakta feels internally that he has the right to demand and place his accusation at Lord's feet. So the following song is the expression of deep love for Baba.

"Ekahno ki prabhu toma'y du're tha'ka' bha'lo dekha'y..." (Prabhat Samgiita #2332)

Purport:

Baba with deep longing in my heart I go on calling You. How can You feel good when You do not pay heed to my call. Do You think that this is appropriate. In beckoning You again and again my voice got hoarse until finally I completely lost my voice. But Your heart never melted.

O’ Parama Purusa Baba, on which dusty earth have You sent me-- thus pushing me far from You. Why have You forgotten me. Is this the definition of Your love. Should I believe that what You are doing is proper.

O’ Parama Purusa, Your liila is unfathomable; it is beyond my understanding. Why do You do like this. I do not have the proper language to express myself, but all these feelings which I am sharing with You come from deep within my heart.

O’ Parama Purusa, sometimes You make me cry & float in my tears; and sometimes You make me laugh when my heart is filled with Your longing. Baba, I do not know what to do. How long do I have to wait for Your heart to melt. Please come...

Death & donation

Ananda Marga ideology states, “When a person dies, the mind becomes dissociated from the body. Death is of many kinds. When the nerve cells stop working, the nerve fibres stop working, the heart stop working and the lungs stop working, death may be considered complete. But sometimes, though the nerve fibres stop working, the heart stops working, and the lungs stop working, the nerve cells continue to work. In such a case doctors might pronounce the person dead, but after two or three hours or even two or three days, the person may come back to life. Everyone’s nerve cells continue to function for at least some time after so-called death. In some such instances, as you have seen, I have saved persons from death.”
“So even after death the nerve cells of a person function. If the nerve cells stop functioning, it means the person has started the search for a new body. The person may or may not get the new body right away. The dissociated mind, along with its reactive momenta, leaves the old body in search of a new one. In accordance with its samskaras, its reactive momenta, the mind searches for and finds an appropriate medium for expression.” (1)

Here is the essence of Baba’s teaching.

When a human being looks to be dead, the nerve cells can still function for a few hours, or, in some cases, even days. In that condition the body could come back to life. During some demonstrations, Baba brought people back to life. Ultimately though, when the nerve cells stop functioning entirely, the person undergoes physical death, and the mind leaves the body immediately in search of a new body. The bodyless mind, along with its samskaras, leaves the old body and starts wandering in search of a new body. According to the nature of their samskaras, they get a new body with the help of the cosmic operative principle. It may happen almost instantaneously, while for others it could take years.

Comment #1: According to this discourse, when the nerve cells die then immediately the (bodyless) mind leaves the body with its samskaras in search of a new body. So it could happen that the old body is still not decayed and it is in the tomb, and the person got a new suitable body and reached in the mother’s womb immediately with the help of rajaguna of cosmic operative principle.

Comment #2: If you donated the body at the time of death and you immediately got a new body, then it could happen that your old limbs are used by someone and you are moving around as a child with a new body.

Most Misunderstood Point

Ananda Marga scripture says, "The more microcosms advance along the path of Pratisaincara, the more developed they become, and the more freedom they are granted to act independently. Of course they can only enjoy as much freedom as the Supreme Authority chooses to give them. The amount of suffering caused by reactive momenta depends upon how microcosms use or misuse this freedom. It serves no purpose whatsoever to blame the Supreme Entity for this suffering. After all, you have been given the freedom, the full liberty, to perform the original deeds as you think fit. Since every action contains a seed of reaction you will have to undergo the reactions of your actions. These seeds or reactive momenta are expressed through your non-original deeds (sam'skára múlaka) over which you have no control."
"A person is reborn in a physical structure and physical environment which are congenial for the expression of the unrequited sam'skáras. The Cosmic Mind directs the disembodied soul to that particular environment where it will get the maximum opportunity for the expression of its latent sam'skáras. That's why some people live miserable lives in squalid conditions and suffer from poor health while others lead joyful, healthy, and worry-free lives in a comfortable environment. Yet no matter what circumstances one finds oneself in, one must realize and accept that no situation is without hope. For one’s psychic expansion, one will have to keep one’s mind fixed on the Supreme Entity, one will have to advance towards that Absolute Entity while removing all obstacles from the path." (1)
