Unique marriage

Baba

Unique marriage

Please read below for more info Ananda Marga Academy of Light:

in Him,
Sudeva

The marriage of our children's home girl, Indrani, was solemnized at Virar Anandamarga School (Mumbai). Both the bride and bridegroom are visually impaired (blind). Ac Rupatiitananda Avt as priest solemnized the marriage and performed the ceremony.

    The bride's background:

Sister Indrani is visually impaired. She grew up in an Ananda Marga childrens' home in Chennai and in Mumbai. She passed M.A. and B.Ed. in V.I. from Mumbai. Afterward, she dedicated her life to Ananda Marga Academy of Light (AMAL), an institution given by Parama Purusa Baba.

She has opened AMAL at Bhuvaneshvar (Orissa) on her own. No AMPS group helped her. It is the lone / only AMAL institution in the world. By the grace of Baba, she got contributions from margiis across India (after seeing her selfless service), and she bought a land parcel in Bhuvaneshvar for the permanent establishment of Ananda Marga Academy of Light.

She has been teaching computer courses etc. to blind girls free of cost for the last two years.

Her bridegroom is also visually impaired (blind). He is a practicing Ananda Margii.

May Baba bless the couple for a happy married life. šŸ™

Note 1: Everyone is well aware that Baba's stated policy is that all of the boys and girls in our childrens' homes are to be goaded towards becoming Wts, not married people. It is most unfortunate that the Didis failed in this regard. Clearly, this sister would have made an excellent Wt.

Note 2: Unfortunately, those who coaxed her into marriage failed to keep Baba's below guideline at the forefront.

Baba says, "The need for marriage differs with individuals. That is why in the opinion of Ananda Marga every individual has complete freedom in matters of marriage. For example, marriage of those persons who suffer from some physical or mental disease, or who are not financially well off, or whose present circumstances are not favourable for marriage (i.e., where marriage can cause unhappiness), is not desirable. Those who are constantly engaged in the fulfilment of an ideal, or those who have to spend the greater part of their day in earning their livelihood or some mental occupations, should not marry, because they will not find it possible to fulfil their family commitments properly. The marriages of such people are harmful to the society in many cases." (Guide to Human Conduct, Brahmacarya)

According to Baba's above guideline, those who coaxed and cajoled Smt. Indrani to marry did terrible harm to her -- unknowingly. She is a veritable strong-minded, ideological bhakta who is now married to a pseudo-margii in a male-dominated society. Sadly, she has been robbed of her life - stripped of her independence and ideological dedication.

Specialty of AM schools + 3 more

Baba
Specialty of AM schools

Namaskar,

These days it is not easy to do pracara and inspire people to take initiation because they are in a vastly different flow of life. Society is crude and grossly materialistic, and that has an adverse effect on the populace. Also, the prevailing system of education does not address the development of the whole human personality. That is why Baba has given the neo-humanistic system of education.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Why neo-humanistic education is unparalleled

With the spread of the Ananda Marga system of primary education, so many will be ready to become margiis. Pracara will be comparatively effortless as most - in their early years - will have gained an appreciation for spirituality. They will be inclined in that way. And verily, this is the only avenue to create a big wave of new margiis on a mass level. When our primary schools are in every village then so many will be eager and ready for sadhana and our Ananda Marga way of life. A neo-humanistic primary school education will provide them the requisite groundwork for a life based on a spiritual ideal.

Now it is our duty to implement it. Failing that, people will just escape the trap of one deficient educational system, only to fall into another one. That is not the solution. It is just like abandoning one broken boat and jumping into another broken boat, thinking that will save you. But that other broken boat is not going to save your life.

In response to the problems of today’s educational system, other alternative, i.e. so-called progressive, schools are not the answer for a child’s entire growth. At present, they may seem more appealing or better financed than our Ananda Marga schools, but they are not the final solution. A neo-humanistic outlook paves the way for both individual and collective well-being. Students will cultivate a universal outlook, understand the purpose of life, as well as realise their inherent familial relationship with all beings and objects of this universe. Only schools led by Ananda Marga sadhakas and supported by sympathizers can truly lead humanity forward.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

First and foremost, our Ananda Marga outlook is grounded in this supreme truth: When the social system is not functioning and society needs a way to move forward, then Taraka Brahma comes in the form of Mahasambhuti. And He provides all kinds of guidelines in all spheres of life, like the system of neo-humanistic education.

We are fortunate and blessed to have access to His divine teachings. We should do all we can to implement and propagate these ideals.

When to instill values? In formative years

Here we have to remember that primary education is the best time, and the cream of the entire life, to teach anything. At that time, the mind of the child is ready to receive whatever you teach. They will eagerly embrace all kinds of ideas and teachings - and those guidelines will remain with them - in their heart and mind - through the course of their life. Children who attend our primary schools will thrive and grow.

If we fail to give proper neo-humanistic teachings then, their whole life will move in another direction, as they will never be able to pick up those points. Children need to be taught the fundamentals when they are young - when they will readily absorb and embrace all that is imparted to them. Whereas if you try to teach Ananda Marga ideals after one has already entered adolescence then the situation is completely different. Instead of following and learning, they will be argumentative and non-cooperative. By that time - by the age of 13 or so - already the window has been missed. Because in those pre-pubescent years, the child will absorb all that you teach them like a sponge.

That is why at least primary education must be done in a neo-humanistic manner. Thereafter, for college and higher education, one may attend other types of institutions if Ananda Marga universities are not available. But the cream of human development and learning – and setting a course for one’s life – is from 0 to 12 years of age. At that time, they learn quickly and they follow what they see and read. So that is the time to instill high ideals and great thoughts. If one’s primary education is done in a neo-humanistic way, then they will not be swayed or harmed by other institutions later in life.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

These primary schools will prepare students with a solid base to become margiis in the future. But the current style of education is detrimental as it utterly fails to introduce and goad kids towards the spiritual path. As our primary schools introduce kids to spirituality at an early age, they will be ripe to join Ananda Marga and their whole personality will blossom.

Why AM primary schools in every village

Every child who attends our Ananda Marga primary schools will have a proper outlook and follow a mode of living based on sadhana, service and sacrifice. They will have reverence for their teachers, parents, adults, and educators and they will adhere to what points they are taught. All these ideals and more are instilled early on – in primary school  education etc.

And creating a primary school is very easy. It does not demand a lot of resources. Each and every neighborhood must have an Ananda Marga primary school. This is where we should make a concerted effort. Not a lot of resources are needed, and those kids will turn into true Ananda Margiis or sympathizers. There are so many benefits.

And again, all that is needed to begin is one teacher who is a committed Ananda Margii. A non-margii cannot guide children in neo-humanistic education. The teacher or principal must be a margii in order to impart the proper values etc.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Whereas with a high school, a huge amount of resources are needed: money, teachers, supplies - all on a large scale. So it is a double-loss. Our valuable resources will be all tied to one institution and those students will develop their own worldly outlook independent of Ananda Marga. While in reporting itself, Baba condemned the idea of creating high schools, and if anyone did so then Baba would create the situation to close it. Instead He wants maximum primary schools.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "We must start primary schools throughout the entire world to create a spiritual urge amongst the little pupils. I am not in favour of starting colleges; I am in favour of starting primary schools. In the entire world we have got one degree college at Ananda Nagar and thousands of kindergarten schools. That is why it is desirable in the first phase to start many primary schools instead of colleges. Merely opening high schools and colleges without a proper system of education will not serve the purpose. Rather, thousands of kindergarten and primary schools must be started with this new system of education, to create a spiritual urge amongst children throughout the entire world." (1)

Conclusion

Ananda Marga’s unique system of neo-humanistic education is the solution to the present problems of today’s humanity. The Ananda Marga system of primary school education, along with sadhana, will lead to the proper growth and progress of human beings.

“A thirst for knowledge”

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The thirst for knowledge will have to be awakened among students, and reverence, devotion, orderliness and discipline will have to be taught as well.” (2)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “So as I was saying, it will not do to impart education through intimidation. A thirst for knowledge must be awakened, and, to quench that thirst, proper education must be given. Only then will education be worthwhile and develop the body, mind and ideals of the student.” (3)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Education must awaken the thirst for knowledge in the students’ minds. The students themselves will create environmental pressure by persistent demands for answers to queries like: What is the answer? Is it correct? The longing, “I wish to know…I wish to understand and assimilate the entire universe” should be created. Such a thirst for knowledge should be created in the minds of students…So a tremendous thirst for knowledge must be awakened in the students’ minds. They will constantly pry their teachers, their parents and their neighbours with questions like: Why is this so? What is that? Why does that happen? Why does this not happen? etc. They are ready to assimilate the entire universe.” (4)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “How many teachers try to awaken a genuine thirst for knowledge in their students?” (5)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Students go to school and sit for examinations in order to pass. Examiners should bear this fact in mind. They should not adopt the rigid position that “Only such-and-such percentage of students will be allowed to pass.” Examiners should take into account only the range of knowledge and the extent of the thirst for knowledge the students possess.” (6)

Lack method for training child’s mind

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Children are by nature most inclined towards play, so a thirst for knowledge will have to be awakened in children through the medium of play – children should be educated through play methods. Children are also by nature inclined to listen to fantasies and stories. Through stories children can easily be taught the history and geography of various countries, and they may also be taught the initial lessons of how to practise universalism in their lives. Children love play and stories almost equally, so in their case the two should be equally utilized.” (7)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The mental outlook of children has already been moulded in a particular fashion by the influence of their family environment before they start school. No matter what or how much they learn at school, it is extremely difficult for them to free themselves from the influence of their family. Drawing on what they have learned in the family, the immature minds of children begin to learn about the world and understand it, and to receive ideas and master language so that they can express those ideas. Unhesitatingly they adopt their elders’ way of looking at the world. Hence the primary responsibility for acquainting children with the world lies with their parents or guardians. Children will become assets of society in the future to the extent that their parents or guardians discharge their duties properly.”
“I have no hesitation in saying that today’s adults have not yet developed a scientific method of training children’s minds. Even most so-called educated and refined people, let alone average adults, are either ignorant about or indifferent to the education of their children. Their ignorance may be pardoned, but how can we forgive their indifference? The family into which a child has been born will naturally have to bear the primary responsibility for the physical, mental and spiritual development of that child.” (8)

Desperate state of mind

"Sukhe ele na'ko, shoke sa'ntvana' dite ele..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3091)

Purport:

My Parama Purusa, when I was feeling happy and content, You did not come. Those days I was singing my own glory and did not even think to call You. So You did not appear before me. But when I lost all that joy and become drowned in my sorrows of self-pity, wallowing and overwhelmed by various problems, then You immediately came and consoled me. In that desperate moment, You compassionately relieved me of my grief. In the past I did not ever feel that You are mine. In this life I was always suffering from the vanity and ego of my own I-feeling. Those days I was thinking that, “I am everything.” Due to my arrogance, I did not accept You as the Supreme One or embrace You as that most loving Entity who can solve all my problems. I could not surrender at Your feet. Baba, even then, by Your mercy, You came deep inside my heart and became mine. Now I understand that You are ever-merciful and remain with me always.

Parama Purusa, those days when I was burdened by that severe agony, I did not outrightly tell You about my problems. I remained silent and refused to express my pain to You. As You are ever-present as the eternal shelter in my heart, with Your infinite kindness You fully understood the desperate state of my mind. You knew my sorrow and instantly poured Your endless sweetness and love.

My Supreme Guide, due to my pride and narcissism I could not recognise You or feel the immense karun’a’ and how You were showering causeless grace on me. Just I thought that it was due to my own qualities that everything was happening. In those happy times I could not see You. Only did I begin to perceive You in my times of distress. Baba, in my state of terrible trials and tribulations, when the mountain of misery started falling on my head, all my friends left me. I was all alone. In my good days, they were along with me, but when I became lost in my own misery all those companions disappeared. You are the exact opposite. When I was sunk in woe then You immediately came and removed all my torments and troubles. Baba, You bathed me in Your infinite love. Filling my I-feeling with Your bliss, You surrounded me each and every second.

Baba, You are love Personified. You have done everything for me. I surrender at Your altar...

Q & A on immortality

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "Ya'jinavalkya asked, 'What would you like?'" "Maetreyii replied: 'Yena'ham' na'mrtasya'm' tena'ham' kim kurya'm'" "'What will I do with things which will not remain with me permanently? Of what use are the objects which will not establish me in immortality?...'Please give me that thing which will remain with me permanently, which I'll be able to preserve forever, which will establish me in immortality. I don't want anything else.'" "Then Ya'jinavalkya gave her a number of instructions, upon which a major part of Raja Yoga is based'." (1)

Note: As described in the above teaching, worldly things do not remain very long. That is why ideal people goad their mind towards Parama Purusa. Being Parama Purusa and Guru, Baba has given us the path. On this point, we are extremely fortunate. Now our main duty is to follow His ideological teachings, i.e the path to Supreme fulfillment.

Fundamental base of Prout

Prout philosophy states, “The universe is the thought projection of Brahma, so the ownership of the universe lies with the Supreme Entity...Everything is the common patrimony of all, and the Father of all is Brahma…We must not forget, even for a single moment, that the entire animate world is a vast joint family. Nature has not assigned any portion of this property to any particular individual. Private ownership has been created by selfish opportunists, as the loopholes in this system provide them with ample scope for self-aggrandizement through exploitation. When the entire wealth of the universe is the common patrimony of all living beings, can the system in which some roll in luxury, while others, deprived of a morsel of food, shrivel up and starve to death bit by bit, be said to have the support of dharma?” (1)

Note: So long as one does not feel this above teaching in the inner core of their heart then their understanding of Prout remains nothing but a dream. Only when this teaching is deeply embedded in one’s mind will a person be able to strongly oppose economic injustice.

We shall have to remain ever vigilant

"In the transitional period of civilization, honesty in individual life is a prime necessity. We shall have to remain ever vigilant that the darkness of petty self-interest may not shroud this supreme human treasure. With the very extinction of honesty, civilization too will not survive; the long sƔdhanƔ of the human race will go in vain, and all intellectual achievements will become meaningless. Book knowledge that cannot be utilized in life has no value." (Ananda Vanii #7)

Note 1: True Ananda Vaniis have a number whereas Fake Ananda Vaniis do not - just as a fake car license plate has no number. By this way, you can easily recognise a Fake Ananda Vanii.

History of medicine - 7

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Different kinds of metals and non-metals have been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. Gold, silver, tin and mercury especially have been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes. The famous Ayurvedic medicine makaradhvaja is prepared from a combination of mercury and sulphide. There is no dearth of medicines produced from calcium in homeopathy, allopathy, Unani, Ayurveda, whatever system it may be. Medicines produced from the conch shell, which have generated excitement since ancient times, are actually nothing but calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate and calcium hydroxide."
"The value of the principle shama samaįøæ shamayati [similia similibus curantue – “like cures like”)] has been understood by human beings since the age of the MahĆ”bhĆ”rata, but it was Mahatma Hahnemann who brought it to the scientific level through his system of homeopathy. People realized the value of this principle during the MahĆ”bhĆ”rata age from the poison treatment of the poisoned Bhiima. There were considerable advances in Ayurveda in poison research, especially with snake, scorpion, spider and hornet poisons. Within Ayurveda, members of the royal family of Cochin in the state of Kerala were pioneers in this. At one time there was a good deal of individual research into poison treatments. My maternal grandfather, the late Dr. U. M. Basu (allopath) conducted research into the medicinal use of scorpion poison, but he died before his research findings could be properly documented. The science of allopathy does not seem to have made much progress in these treatments, but there are endless opportunities for making progress in this respect." (1)

Spirituality: asking for His help + 2 more

Baba
Spirituality: asking for His help

Namaskar,

For a spiritual aspirant, sadhana is the main endeavour in life.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Human life is for sĆ”dhanĆ”.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Human life is for spiritual sĆ”dhanĆ” only. There is not, there cannot be, any other motive; there cannot be any other intention; there cannot be any other desideratum.” (2)

Steps to take when sadhana is difficult

However, the path of sadhana is not linear, but rather systaltic. That means there are times when one is making great strides in sadhana, by His grace. And there are periods when sadhana is elusive, and it is hard to cultivate any spiritual flow. Here are steps one may take if the mind is dry and they are having difficulty in sadhana.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

(a) Half-bath: This automatically invigorates both body and mind and brings new prana (energy) to one’s existence. So half-bath is a physical practice that helps shake off any staticity and enables one to sit for sadhana with new vigour.

(b) Prabhat Samgiita: This treasure of songs given by Sadguru Baba is a unique tool for cultivating bhakti. Because Baba’s compositions of Prabhat Samgiita express the heartfelt feeling and yearning of the sadhaka. So select a song wherein the meaning best reflects your personal feeling. Then play that song and sing along with full ideation. That will boost the mind and generate a feeling of closeness with Parama Purusa.

(c) Kiirtana: By chanting and dancing kiirtan, with the only feeling being “You are mine & mine alone”, one is surrendering to Parama Purusa and calling Him near. This helps elevate the mind and brings a spiritual flow. In various discourses, Baba guides us how kiirtana is the great tool for overcoming various afflictions and going close to Parama Purusa

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Kiirtana helps a devotee to accelerate the speed towards the hub of the Universe....Just as food and sleep are essential for human beings, similarly kiirtana, the most essential aid for sadhana, should also be done whenever there is opportunity and time.” (3)

(d) Guru is the closest Entity: One should remember that, “He is with me now and He is my permanent Bandhu.” If a sadhaka does not share their happiness and sorrows with Him, then whom are they going to tell. So just request Guru for help. If you put forth your request again and again then surely He will be gracious on you. It is just like if a small child asks its mother over and over again for something, then the mother cannot resist and will satisfy the child’s wish. Similarly, if one asks Parama Purusa again and again for help in sadhana, then He is bound to fulfill Your request.

I do not have strength in my knees - please provide me

Here following is a brief English summary or gist of Baba’s Hindi teaching from DMC 31 May 1987:

Sa'dhana' does not provide us with anything. All sa'dhana' does is facilitate the grace of Parama Purusa. So one is to ask for the power to fight against his/her mental defects from Parama Purusa. One should earnestly say, 'Parama Purusa, I would like to march towards You but I do not have strength in my knees. Please provide me with the requisite energy and I'll walk towards You.' (English Summary)

(e) Effort: The sadhka’s duty in sadhana is to try. That is what the word sadhana literally means: That one should put forth the proper effort and try. Seeing a sadhaka’s sustained engagement in sadhana, Guru becomes pleased and showers His blessing. One should not give in to the tendency that one should stop or avoid sadhana if one’s meditation is not good. Rather one should always put forth the proper effort. One should persevere and then surely sadhana will be better, by His grace.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Sadguru Baba is all-powerful. He can grant mukti and moksa even to those who do not do sadhana. But that would be partiality. So He has created the rule that all have to do sadhana. So one has to try and then He will shower His blessing by seeing your efforts. It is just like if an infant tries repeatedly tries to stand up again and again, then by seeing the situation mother will come over and help the child stand. But if the child does not try to stand up then the mother may not help. Same is the case with Parama Purusa and with the sadhaka. If He sees that a sadhaka is sincerely practicing sadhana and making a concerted effort, then He will be drawn to quickly come and help the sadhaka.

(f) Bhakti: The overall point is that a personal connection or link is needed, i.e. bhakti. That is the equivalent of placing moisture in the soil. If one has good seeds and rich soil, but those seeds will not germinate without water. Similarly, even if the sadhana system and mantra are proper but if there is no affection towards the Goal, then sadhana will not give any yield. Whereas when there is a loving feeling in the heart then sadhana will bloom and blossom in your life, by His grace.

Conclusion

(g) Guru’s blessing: When sadhana is difficult then an aspirant should repeatedly try the aforementioned processes. When one receives His blessing then sadhana will flow every easily and it will be very blissful. One will feel like they are just floating peacefully down a gentle stream in springtime, when all the wildflowers are blooming and the air is very aromatic. This is not just theory. He really comes and helps in sadhana. There is more truth to this than the existence of the sun and moon.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Now by dint of sĆ”dhanĆ”, one is to arouse and exalt that sleeping divinity. That SvayambhĆŗliuṋga becomes one with ShambhĆŗliuṋga. But for this one requires divine help. And I know one is sure to get divine help. And I know further that one is getting divine help. And I know still further that in future, for infinite time and infinite space, one will be getting this divine favour. And you are all sĆ”dhakas. You will certainly attain that supreme stance and enjoy that divine blessedness. You are sure to enjoy it, my sons and my daughters.” (4)

Give me strength to do sadhana

Here following is an English summary or gist of the Hindi teaching from DMC 31 May 1987:

The first stage is getting over the small 'I'. After getting above the small 'I' to some extent, in the second stage, humans should fight against their mental defects. For example, if one is afflicted by some kind of superiority complex, or inferiority complex, one has to combat that.  Some may be afflicted with attachment (moha). So, all these mental defects one is to fight against in the second stage. Humans may possess some will power to fight against these defects but that alone is not enough. One needs to constantly make endeavor to overcome the mental defects. This requires additional strength or power. This power comes from Parama Purusa's grace alone. Sa'dhana' does not provide us with anything. All sa'dhana' does is facilitate the grace of Parama Purusa. So, one is to ask for the power to fight against his/her mental defects from Parama Purusa. One should earnestly say, 'Parama Purusa, I would like to march towards You but I do not have strength in my knees. Please provide me energy and I'll walk towards You.' (English Summary)

Special thing to ideate during kiirtana

Here following is an English summary or gist of the Bangla teaching of the MGD 10 December 1978 Calcutta:

This bhava samadhi is the highest stage of the bliss of kiirtana. Both those who sing kiirtana and those who listen to kiirtana should ideate that, “Parama Pursua is mine and mine alone, and does not belong to anyone else.” If one sings or listens with this feeling they will have the highest realisation of kiirtana. (English Summary)

Parama Purusa thinks about me too

Here following is an English summary or gist of the Bangla teaching of MGD 17 December 1978 Calcutta:

With one brain how can you compete with Parama Purusa. Better is to tell Him that, “Parama Purusa, You have innumerable brains. Think for me too and solve my problems. With one brain how much can I do.” By this way, one should surrender unto Him. (English Summary)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “If people do kiirtana with distinct expression of the mantra, their mouths become pure, their tongues become pure, their ears become pure, their whole bodies become pure - and when so many parts of the body become pure, the Ć”tmĆ” (self) also becomes pure.” (5)

Warmth of my life

"Priyo ƔmƔr, priyatamo tumi mor..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3261)

Purport:

My Parama Purusa, You are dear to me, You are my Dearmost. Even when I am in cimmerian darkness - during storms and cyclones, tornadoes, in my  miseries, my terrible days - You remain always with me, and keep me safe. My Citcor, You remain by my side and care for me; I am never alone.

Baba, You are Alakhanirainjan; Parama Purusa You are blemishless, pure, and vipad bhainjan, the destroyer of all calamities and all-powerful. You are my prÔńer spandana, the pulsation of my heart warmth of my life, and the citi bodhĆ”injana - collyrium of Brahma jina’na. Parama Purusa, Your beauty and infinite, spiritual charm satiates my heart.

Baba, You protect me from all sorts of dangers and calamities and remain as the abode of bliss. Those who attain You will be fearful of whom - they will fear no one. By Your mercy, those who bind You with the thread of their love and bhakti, even their obstacles are removed. They can overcome all hurdles, cross the ocean of bhavasagara - the sea of sam’ska’ra, and get moks’a. No impediment can halt their forward march.

Baba, Parama Purusa, Omnipotent Entity, please shower Your karuna on me...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #3261:

[1] Citta-cor / Chit-chor / Citcor: In His role as 'Citcor', Parama Purusa is the Thief or Stealer of the bhakta’s mind. How does He steal the mind? He captivates their mind and attracts the bhakta by His exquisite spiritual charm - whereby the sadhaka cannot think of anything or anyone else. The sadhaka has lost control of his own mind: It incessantly and unknowingly rushes towards Parama Purusa. The One who makes this happen is Citcor - the Stealer of the mind.

And to some degree this happens in the mundane realm as well, though it is degenerating and not long-lasting. There are numerous worldly examples where a person's mind is stolen. For instance, if they lost money, if they are infatuated with mundane attraction, if they are anxious about something - in all such cases when the person's mind runs again and again in that direction. So to some degree their mind has been stolen. The person's mind is no longer their own - they do not have control over it. Over and over, their mind is thinking of something - yet that something is not eternal but rather short-lived. So the effect is degenerating. Because their I-feeling has become attached to something mundane. In the real sense that is not citcor, but rather a reflection of a reflection of the stage of citcor.

The Entity that causes someone to lose control of their mind is Citcor - the stealer of the mind. And this is a deeply spiritual state. In the sphere of bhakti, only Parama Purusa is Citcor. The sadhaka thinks of Him, unknowingly. Always the mind is goaded in that direction. Even if the bhakta intentionally tries not to think in this way, still his mind becomes ensconced in the thought of the Supreme, i.e. Parama Purusa. This is an elevating experience and has a wholly beneficial result.

Ultimately, when this condition climaxes, in that culminating state the unit mind - the jiiva'tma - becomes one with Supreme Consciousness.

Lastly, another name of Citcor is Makhan Cor (Butter Thief).

A number of dogmatic worshipers think that Lord Krsna is a butter-thief and they portray Lord Krsna as a small child who has stolen butter whereby the child Krsna is eating a lot of saturated fat. The sages tried to teach the common people with analogies but due to a very low standard the people took it in a literal way until finally it became an entrenched dogma. They do not like to hear the real truth of the matter.

[2] Alakhanirainjan: ('Alakh' means 'invisible'; 'nir' means 'no'; 'ainjan' means 'black spot'.)  Of the infinite attributions of Parama Purusa, one of which is that He is invisible and blemishless - totally pure and perfect. That is why He is known as Alakhanirainjan. Because in this world unit beings are bound by their past actions, by their samskaras; and this creates a black mark in their mind. But being Alakhanirainjan, being both invisible and blemishless, Parama Purusa is totally beyond the realm of sense perception and beyond the realm of samskara. His mind never gets stained. He remains eternally pure and spotless.

Copying communism

Ananda Marga philosophy: "Question – Why is everything in the communist countries done under the dark veil of the iron curtain?"

"Answer – Because they are conscious of the inherent defects and loopholes in their system and they do not want the world to know what they are doing." (1)

Note: A similar thing is going on in Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha these days. To hide their hypocrisy group leaders do like this.

Cannot serve if concerned about your reputation

Ananda Marga teachings guide us, “When for age after age society spins in the murky eddies of evil and vice, when individual and collective knavery masquerades as intelligence, when hypocrisy, bribery and fraud are the yardsticks for measuring the ability to lead – it is then that the genuine followers of BhĆ”ratii [the goddess of learning] must struggle on in spite of constant humiliation. Only taunts and insults will be their fate. Those who are afraid of these insults are incapable of offering anything really lasting to humanity. How can people who lack moral strength, under whose feet the soil is not hard and strong, invite anyone into a cool, refreshing shelter and impart happiness to them? It may be possible to drag oneself through life by sucking the blood of others like social parasites, but this will not bring fulfilment to either sĆ”hityikas or their readers.”
“The artist or sĆ”hityika who assumes the responsibility of leading humanity along the path to light from the caverns of darkness will have to heed the road signs on that path. It is not possible to guide others with mere cheap, superficial knowledge, like a half-baked pandit who reads a half-a-dozen books and then spouts a few mouthfuls of grandiloquence, and who has obtained a doctorate by plagiarizing others’ works. Rather it is necessary for the sĆ”hityika or artist to have a keen and vigorous insight, without which all their endeavours will prove fruitless. Merely juggling words or depicting defects in society will not satisfy the hunger of the human mind – and such creations of art are indeed valueless for social progress as well. One must know the path, and one must also know how to move on it. If those who have not comprehended what the form of society will be, allow the trends of the past that have shaped the present to proceed unchecked, they can never lead society to the path of perfection. They will in fact thrust society into darkness in the name of social reform; they will encourage license in the name of freedom. Instead of modelling a woman after the ideal of a goddess, they will mould the image of the goddess after the ideal of a harlot.” (1)
