Pújá: closed eyes or open + 2 more

Baba
Pújá: closed eyes or open

Namaskar,

One very significant point surrounding our practice of guru pújá is whether it should be done with the eyes open or closed. And there are clear-cut guidelines about this. As guru pújá is part of our Ananda Marga sadhana system it is based on vibration, not any mundane quality. There are key times when keeping the eyes open or closed best enhances the quality of one’s guru pújá.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Since the majority of the time, most Ananda Margiis are doing sadhana alone in the privacy of their own home, here first is a suggestion how to do Guru Pújá in this circumstance.

Way to do guru pújá when alone

When alone in your own private space it is recommended to do guru pújá with the eyes open, gazing intently on Baba's photo. Because in guru pújá the ideation is that Baba is seated directly in front of you, facing you. In that case, using a clear photo as an ideational tool is a very helpful way for the practice of guru pújá. In this instance, looking at the photo with the eyes open can be quite good for cultivating bhakti.

Here we must remember that when the eyes are closed, one needs a pointed mind to clearly visualise Parama Purusa Baba. He is the Divine Entity and visualising Him demands deep concentration. It is not the same as visualizing a normal human being. To see Him, one must have a very pointed mind, and His divine grace. When the mind is not in that highly spiritual and pin-pointed state, a photo is very helpful for doing guru pújá. When alone in the room one can keep the eyes open and look at Baba's photo.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

By this way one will develop the ingrained habit of seeing Baba perfectly when doing guru pújá. In those circumstances - outlined below - where one has to do guru pújá with the eyes closed, then the mind will be properly trained and one will be able to see Him when doing guru pújá.

If no photo available

When one does not have a photo available, then it is best to do guru pújá with the eyes closed, even if one is alone. Because in guru pújá one must always envision Him sitting in front of you. So when there is no photo available, the eyes have to be kept closed.

The above scenarios represent a few of the many possible circumstances regarding the practice of our guru pújá. The basic rule though is to only do open-eyed guru pújá when in the privacy of your own room or at your own personal and private meditation place.

Conclusion

We all know that guru pújá is a highly personal affair and intimate experience between a sadhaka and Guru. It is a time to be extremely close with Baba and surrender everything at His lotus feet. The entire success of guru pújá depends upon generating the right feeling of bhakti, combined with a pointed mind. Keeping the eyes open or close has a big effect. Every sadhaka should know exactly under which circumstances one can do guru pújá with the eyes open and when guru pújá should be done with the eyes closed. Knowing this, one can have the very special closeness which makes guru pújá such a beautiful and personal experience that enables one to progress on the path. The ultimate goal of guru pújá is to establish that inner link with Him and surrender everything unto Him. So one should take the approach, eyes open or closed, that best supports that ideal.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Trinetra

~ In-depth study ~

One key element in tantra is the Guru-disciple relation. When the Guru-disciple relation is properly established, everything in life will be successful. This is the guarantee. So the Guru-disciple relation holds tremendous import in the practice of tantra.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "As the practical aspect is the most important factor in Tantra, the greatest emphasis is placed on the Preceptor-disciple relationship." (1)

And certainly one key aspect of our tantric system that cultivates and deepens our relation with Baba is our practice of guru pújá. So the practice of our guru pújá is highly significant; we should make our practice perfect in all aspects, by His grace.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

How to prevent rushing guru pújá

Here it should be noted that if guru pújá is done in a rushed or hasty manner, then the whole thing is spoiled, regardless of whether one's eyes are open or closed. So just as we approach our shuddhis and mantra japa in a deliberate and poised manner, similarly we should take a balanced approach in the practice of guru pújá; it should not be rushed. The way to prevent this from happening on the collective level is to do call and response style guru pújá when in a collective forum.

And one way to ensure that guru pújá is not done in a rushed way, especially when done individually is to chant the mantra out loud. When alone with a clear Baba photo, one should all chant guru pújá out loud, keeping the eyes open, gazing intently at Him. This is something for each and every sadhaka to know about.

Side by side, one should ensure to start their sadhana early so there is no need to rush through guru pújá in order to finish on time. While doing any of our sadhana practices such as guru pújá, one should cultivate and heighten their spiritual flow and love for Baba.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "Divine bliss is easily attainable to those who base their sa'dhana' on love." (2)

Recitation of guru pújá

As is commonly known, guru pújá is the offering of one's mental colours to Guru. Here colours refers to one's problems, difficulties, challenges, etc. Those colours represent the way in which the mind is stained, and those are offered to Baba, and He graciously accepts them. So this entire process of guru pújá is known as varnarghyadan, i.e. offering of colours.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Offer Him the colours of different objects which have dyed the mind. When this practice of offering your own colours -- your own attachments, becomes natural and easy, you will then merge in Him.  Then you will have no need for any colour, for you will become colourless -- you will go beyond the reach of any colour. Your unit-ego will become one with the Cosmic Ego. Whichever way you look you will see only Him in His ever-surging glory." (3)

Here following is our guru pújá shloka that is chanted 3 times, offering the colour of your mind to Guru after the completion of each round.

(Note: New sadhakas who have not yet memorised guru pújá should write it down or record it and learn it by heart, i.e. from memory.)

    Akhańd́a mańd́alákáram vyáptam yena carácaram
Tadpadaḿ darshitam yena tasmae Shrii Gurave namah

    Ajiṋánatimirándhasya jiṋánáinjana shalákayá
Cakśurunmilitam yena tasmae Shrii Gurave namah

Gurur Brahmá Gurur Viśńu, Gurur Devo Maheshvara
Gurureva Parama Brahma tasmae Shrii Gurave namah

After three rounds of guru pújá, then the pranama mantra is recited one time:

    Tava dravyam Jagatguro tubhyameva samarpaye

Ananda Marga ideology teaches us, "“Tava” means “Your”. “Dravyaḿ” means “that which takes a definite form”. The spiritual aspirant says, “Tava dravyaḿ Jagatguro Tubhyameva samarpaye” – “Your article is being offered to You, is being offered at Your altar.” Why “Tava dravyaḿ”? Suppose a spiritual aspirant has a red flower and is offering it. Why should he say, “Tava dravyaḿ”? The dravyaḿ is being offered by the aspirant, so why “Tava”, “Your”? It is His because in this universe of ours human beings cannot create the original stuff. They have not got the dexterity to create something original. They can create physical mixtures and chemical compounds, but not the original stuff. Everything of mine, along with my mind, is offered at Your altar. Please oblige and accept it.” (4)

This is followed by one's final offering and full surrender in sastaunga pranama (full prostration) to Guru.

It is part of astaunga yoga

As we know astaunga yoga is the 8 limbs of yoga: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and samadhi. The practice of guru pújá - or the offering of one mental colour - is the 5th limb of astaunga yoga known as pratyahara.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Next Baba describes the derivation and meaning of the term Guru.

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "In Sanskrit, gu means “darkness” and ru means “dispeller”. So guru means “one who removes the darkness from the mind”. The darkness of the mind must be dispelled. There should not be a festival of lights outside while one’s own house remains in darkness. There should also be illumination inside one’s own house, and this is the enlightenment of the mind, of the soul." (5)

Only Brahma is the Guru

Here below is Baba's definition of Guru from Ananda Sutram.

Brahmaeva gururekah náparah.
Only Brahma is the guru, no one else.

Ananda Sutram states, “Purport: Brahma alone is the guru. Brahma alone directs the units to the path of emancipation through the media of different receptacles or bodies. No one except Brahma conforms to the real significance of the word “guru”." (6)

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty." (7)

How concept of Guru is misunderstood

In tantra, as demonstrated above, only Brahma is the Guru, and for the bhakta Guru is everything. As Guru, Parama Purusa Baba watches over every atom and entity of this universe, in all the realms. Indeed, this universe is His creation and it is His thought projection. Guru is the Divine Entity and the Creator of all.

Yet, nowadays in many countries where materialism has taken root, the term Guru is used in a very ordinary and mundane way. If there is a computer repair shop with 5 technicians and one technician is better or more knowledgeable than the other four, then they will call that top technician the "Computer Guru." Needless to say, this is a complete misuse and abuse of the term Guru. Yet there are many such examples: The auto-mechanic guru, the basketball guru, the Wall Street guru etc. In all such cases, they refer to the top person as the guru. But this is entirely wrong.

Further Reading: Criteria of Guru

Here below are some key aspects from Sadguru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji Baba's discourse, "The Criteria of a Guru."

In order to be an ideal guru in the spiritual sphere, one must be throughly conversant with the minutest details of sádhaná, every aspect of sádhaná, important or unimportant. The guru must not only learn those things, but must also possess the capacity to teach those practices to others. Otherwise he should not be treated as a guru. The Mahákaola alone has this capacity, no one else. Kaolas are those who by dint of sádhaná have successfully elevated their microcosmic stance and established it in the Macrocosmic one; but a Mahákaola is one who is a kaola, certainly, but at the same time possesses the capacity to help others as well to get to that exalted kaola position. In the past Lord Shiva was one such Mahákaola. Lord Krśńa was another. To be a guru one must be a Mahákaola.

One must possess knowledge regarding sádhaná, not only thorough knowledge of the shástras [scriptures]. And in order to gain thorough scriptural knowledge, one must know as many important languages as are necessary for the purpose. That is to say, it is not enough that a guru acquire the necessary qualifications to be able to teach sádhaná (that is, impart lessons on the practical cult); he must possess adequate knowledge of theory also. That is, in order to know the inner secret of sádhaná, he must possess thorough and authentic scriptural knowledge; then only should he be accepted as a perfect guru in the spiritual sphere...

A spiritual guru must be well-acquainted with all the processes of sádhaná, must have the capacity to convince others, must possess complete knowledge of the scriptures, must know many languages, and must have comprehensive knowledge and intellect, plus some extra qualifications. What are those qualifications? Nigrahánugrahe shakto gururityabhidhiiyate – “the guru must possess the capacity both to punish, and to love, or bless, his disciples.” Punishment alone, without love, is not good. Love and punishment should go together, and the degree of punishment should never exceed the degree of love. Then only can one be called a real spiritual guru.

I have already said that a guru must be an authority on all subjects in all the three strata:

As a spiritual guru, he must be thoroughly versed in spiritual science – both the theory and the practice. He must know how Parama Puruśa associates Himself with jiivas [unit beings]; and he must know how jiivas associate themselves with Parama Puruśa (they associate themselves just as the Ganges merges into the Bay of Bengal). Otherwise, how can he teach this science to others? And who knows this science? Only Parama Puruśa knows it, because He Himself has created everything...

After the spiritual sphere comes the psychic sphere, which is cruder than the former. That is, the guru must be aware of the nature of the human mind – what it is made of, how it should be elevated step by step from crude to subtle, how all the unit minds can march together in unison towards the goal – in a word, he must know both the theoretical and the applied sides of psychology. He must know a thousand times more than is written in books. He must assimilate everything through his own refined intellect. And then only can he teach others perfectly. That shows that he must be not only a spiritual guru, but also a guru in the psychic world. There is a sense of want in the human mind. One who can remove the sense of want is a guru. In order to qualify as a guru, one must have the power to remove psychic wants.

As in the spiritual sphere, so also in the psychic sphere, a guru must be learned. He should be well-versed in the humanities; in fact, in all branches of human knowledge. In order to be a spiritual guru, it will be sufficient that he have mastery over scriptural treatises; but to be a guru in the psychic sphere, he must be well-versed in all branches of human knowledge. A limited knowledge of a few scriptures will not do. And simultaneously, he must be conversant with the style in which the human mind functions, as also in the method to control and guide it properly.

Next comes the physical world. The followers, the disciples, of the guru, are men and women of flesh and blood having physical structures. They have their sorrows and miseries, their tears and smiles. This is their life. They have their problem of food and clothing; they have their pleasures and pains, their tears of pain and tears of joy; they become elated in happy circumstances and depressed when things go wrong. It is the duty of a guru to provide his followers with the wherewithal for their progress. This is what an ideal guru is to do in the physical sphere. As a guru in the physical world, he will have to teach mankind such techniques as will solve their worldly problems – problems of food, clothing, education and medical treatment. A guru must see to it that their mundane problems are solved.

So in order to be a guru, one must come onto this earth with the highest qualifications in the spiritual field, and with the greatest capacity to face the mountainous obstacles in the physical world. To shoulder the responsibility of a guru is not child’s play. (8)

He cannot keep Himself away

Intro to PS: This following song is unique in its own special way. Here Parama Purusa has come in a very person yet disguised fashion, and is talking to the bhakta and asking him questions. Indeed, Parama Purusa is addressing the bhakta using indirect language - talking to the bhakta while referring to Himself in the third person. So the bhakta is unaware that the Entity addressing him is actually Parama Purusa. That is the unique aspect of this song. No one should get confused and think that in this song one bhakta is addressing another sadhaka. Rather, it should be clear to all that this song depicts the special dialogue between the Lord and His bhakta, whereby the Lord Parama Purusa is keeping His identity hidden.

"Carańe áj kiser dvidhá, shayan keno kánt́á bhará..." (Prabhat Samgiita #0627)

Purport:

Bhakta, for whom are you weeping for? In this state of dilemma, even your walking has gotten affected. In these late hours of midnight, you do not have an ounce of rest in your eyes, and remain shedding tears on the bed in someone's pinning. It is as though your bed is filled with thorns, one restless night after another.

In whose bhakti do you have such spiritual intoxication; why are your eyes showering tears. The One whom you have prema for, has He forgotten you? Is that why you are in such a melancholic state of bhakti. Because of this, all these intimate spiritual feelings have saturated your heart. Is that why you are wakeful.

Sadhaka, your situation is like one person floating in tears due to the loss of the most precious jewel of his heart. You should understand that in this highest bhakti these feelings are quite natural. Go on serving and immerse yourself completely in that very work of sadhana, service, and sacrifice - which He desires. For whom you have bhakti, go on acting according to His direction.

Bhakta, in whose memory is your heart so restless, such that your eyes cannot sleep on this lonely night. To whom you want, He cannot keep Himself away - because true cosmic love is mutual. He will have to come to you...

Meaning of: “work while dying” + 3 more

Baba
Meaning of: “work while dying”

Namaskar,

In various discourses Baba guides us, "Die while working, and work even while dying." This guideline contains two key teachings - both of which are firmly rooted in bhakti.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Without sadhana one can’t do real karma

While some certainly understand Baba's guideline, a few remain confused. Some think that in order to follow the tenet - "Die while working, and work even while dying" - they should do relief work or their designated social service project incessantly. They work 24 / 7 for their project, even skipping their food and sadhana etc. Naturally one will die prematurely due to this approach. Unfortunately, they think they are following the guideline: "Die while working, and work even while dying."

Tragically, this has happened with many Wts and even some margiis. But if one studies our Ananda Marga philosophy, it is very evident what Baba means by His teaching: "Die while working, and work even while dying." Baba does not want us to destroy our human frame by drowning ourselves in work, disregarding our daily routine of 16 Points.

Others wrongly conclude that if one was busy doing work when they died then it automatically means they were following this tenet. However, if a non-margii employee dies in an industrial accident on the job-site, that does not mean that they were adhering to this tenet. That person was working to pay their bills, and for their own self-satisfaction. In that case, one is just involved in their own I-feeling and not thinking of Parama Purusa.

Whereas true karma yoga means doing with the feeling that Parama Purusa is the real Doer and, “I am just a tool in His hands to serve His creation.” This type of selfless endeavour imbibed with Cosmic ideation is real karma yoga. Without sadhana, one can never cultivate such an outlook. Thus merely dying on a job-site does not qualify oneself in following this tenet. And this applies to every Ananda Margii as well.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

So this teaching is often misunderstood whereby the outcome is very tragic. To avoid such miseries and demise, this matter should be crystal-clear in the mind. Failing that, some degenerate due to their misunderstanding while others meet their demise far too soon.

Pitfalls of dry karma yoga

Unfortunately, some misunderstand Baba's above mandate and this leads to their downfall. For instance:

(a) Some think that "work while dying" means skipping all one's dharmic practices - asanas, dances, fasting, food, and sadhana - and plunging oneself in social service activities until the body is destroyed. For example, a Dada running a children's home may just think about doing relief, relief, relief and die in that way. This misguided vision leads to so many problems including frustration, ill health, anxiety, and desperation. Some even leave the path of Ananda Marga because they have forgotten their real purpose in life.

(b) Others think that "work while dying" means that, “With my own strength I am serving poor people etc.” This leads to ego and arrogance as one has forgotten bhúmadrśt́i, or cosmic outlook. By this narrow perspective, they are just involved in promoting their own petty greatness and glory. Verily they are moving away from Parama Purusa; their mind is in a state of contraction as it wraps more tightly around their own unit I-feeling. Such is their degeneration. They have wholly forgotten they are serving with His strength and that one is serving Him in the form of this manifested world. This type of self-engrossed mindset is not the path of true karma yoga. Real karma yoga means being immersed in bhakti thinking, "I am doing anything and everything with the energy being provided by Parama Purusa."

Unfortunately, you may have seen some in our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha bragging: "I have done this or that, I am very great, I have built this jagrti and I have published this book etc." This type of expression is the work of a degenerated mind puffed up with vanity.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

(c) Some hold the misnomer that all work and all actions are karma yoga. Following this tenet they remain busy all the 24hrs in all kinds of worldly, mundane engagements, and overlook their sadhana in the name of doing karma yoga. In that case their work engagement only leads to bondage. True karma yoga actually begins when one feels that, "He is the Doer, I am just fulfilling my role in His liila." For this idea to enter the mind, all kinds of spiritual practices are needed. Then one's service will lead to liberation.

"Work while dying" means

So we should always remember that Baba's formula for adhering to the path of karma yoga - i.e. "die while working" - entails two conditions. First one should think that, "Parama Purusa has blessed me by giving me strength to serve: It is His strength not mine." And secondly one must ideate that "I am serving Parama Purusa in the form of this manifested universe - I am serving Narayana." And all along one must be strict in sadhana and all dharmic practices.

These are the prerequisite factors for adhering to Baba's teaching, "Die while working", and following the path of true karma yoga. And by this way one will garner more and more bhakti, by His grace.

When Baba says, "Work while dying", then some misunderstand what this means. They wonder, “How is it possible to work when the body is sick, old, and decrepit. How can one do work when they are on their deathbed.” But the answer is that at this point one's chief work is sadhana. We should remember that sadhana is also work. In various discourses, Baba says that sadhana itself is karma yoga. When infirmed, one may not be able to render disaster relief work to the society, however a sadhaka will be able to ideate on Him and do sadhana. That is how to pay heed to the teaching, "Work while dying."
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Conclusion

Here again is Sadguru Baba's teaching: "Die while working and work while dying."

(#1) As Ananda Margiis, our preference is not to go and live in a retirement home and lie there listlessly etc. So long as we have energy then we will serve. And when we have lived our life to the fullest and have no energy left then we will remain in bed and do sadhana. That is the formula and how it works.

(#2) One day each and every person will complete their life and leave their body. And if you remember Parama Purusa then you will become one with Him. So one should go on doing sadhana. That is the main work. Hence, the formula of true karma yoga encompasses all kinds of spiritual practices.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

(#3) Remember Baba's teaching is: "Die while working, and work even while dying." The first part of this teaching guides us to do social service and sadhana for as long as we can. And the latter half guides us that when we are on our deathbed we should complete our karma yoga by doing sadhana, and leave the body singing His name.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Paramit

~ In-depth study ~

Differentiate between true & fake sadhakas

The main work of one who is taking their last breaths on this earth is to do sadhana and ideate on Parama Purusa. That will be, "Work while dying." Because sadhana is the greatest service to Parama Purusa. Sadhana is the greatest karma. All are aware that lazy persons cannot do sadhana - because sadhana is the most difficult endeavour.

Unfortunately, some cannot manage their meditation practice, and in turn they hide their weakness by mocking, discouraging, and maligning sincere sadhakas. Externally they brag about their own greatness that, "I do sadhana all night long in the cemetery - every night." But such proclamations are just empty words.

In contrast, those who do sadhana understand in the core of their heart that they should never brag about themselves. They cannot praise themselves. Whereas fake sadhakas are always looking for an opportunity to heighten their own image.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Distinguishing the gold from the mud - i.e. the sincere sadhakas from the tall-talkers, is very simple. Sincere sadhakas never openly brag about the greatness of their sadhana or how they sat in the remote cemetery all night long - night after night. No true sadhaka can gloat in this manner. But hypocrites always brag about their sadhana to boost their own prestige. Yet intelligent bhaktas know that a true sadhaka cannot brag about themselves. So if someone is singing the praises of their greatness in sadhana, then you know that person is fake.

Human body in only for doing sadhana

Here below Baba gives the answer to those who suffer from the dogma that they should submerge themselves in work and neglect their dharmic duties like sadhana, health, and hygiene. Over the years, many Wts have prematurely ruined their bodies due to neglect. They suffered from the misunderstanding that they should work and grind themselves to death. However, Baba's teaching is entirely different. One should diligently maintain the body in order to live 100 years, all the while thinking of and serving Him. So there should not be any confusion about this. It is a defective approach to neglect one’s existence and prematurely leave this earth by 35 or 40 years of age. That is not the dharmic approach.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga ideology states,“Why do you want to live for a hundred years? To do more and more work. You want to live long because you hope to do more and more work in this life – being goaded by this desire, you wish to live a long life. So in the psychic sphere one must always remember that one has a mission in life, and just to materialize that life, for proper practication of that mission, one is to remain in this world; otherwise one must not remain here, one should retire from life as early as possible.
“Once I said, “It is good to die working, but still better to work even while dying.” So one should always bear in mind, “I am alive in this world for the fulfilment of my mission. This is the reason I am eating, dressing, sleeping. Apart from this, I have no worth.” And if one ever lives a life without a mission, then in that case, no endeavour in the psychic sphere will bring success. If you do not want to work, if you do not want to serve the world, you will become a burden on the world. It would be better to leave the world than to live as a burden on it. Human life should be enriched with intense activity.” (1)

Without spiritual practice one is unable serve society

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Above the mental sphere there is the spiritual sphere. In the spiritual world, it is not enough to think (as in the psychic sphere) only of one's mission, because the purpose of a mission is service in the external world. Whatever might be one's [specific] mission in the objective or expressed world, fundamentally one's mission is to promote the welfare of the world. But when the movement is internal, that is, when the movement is from mind to spirit, then a mission of no importance, because you are withdrawing your entire existence towards supreme fulfilment. You may be active in your mission to promote the welfare of the world – jagaddhitáya – but that is not enough.”
“Why do you undertake a mission? Átmamokśarthaḿ jagaddhitáya ca [“For Self-realization and for the welfare of the universe”]. You certainly undertake it in order to promote the welfare of the world. Along with this you have to take up another mission, and that is to bring about your own spiritual salvation. If one does not try for one’s own salvation, if one does not do spiritual practice, one can never serve society. It will be totally impossible.” (2)

Shining moon

"A'mi toma'y cinini priyo, tumi a'ma'y sab diyecho…" (Prabhat Samgiita #3856)

Purport:

Parama Purusa, my Dearmost, for so long I could not recognise how sweet and caring You are. Even then, You showered Your grace, bestowed everything upon me, and drenched me in Your divine compassion. There is nothing that You have not done. All the good things in my life are because of You. Today, by Your ahetuki krpa', I understand that You are so merciful and love me immensely. Now I realise that You are love personified and have given me infinite blessings. Baba, I want to surrender my everything at Your altar. Please accept my sastaunga pranam.

Baba, You fill the flowers with honey and place the shining moon in the sky. You are the ocean of the nectar of divine love. As the Entity who is the embodiment of prema, You have made my mind merge into Yours.

Baba, You are the top of the seven lokas: bhú, bhuvah, svah, maha, jana, tapah and satya. You have spread yourself in all animate and inanimate objects, eternally  dancing with ankle bells in the vast universe amongst the moon, stars, galaxies, and everywhere.

Notes for Prabhat Samgitta #3856:

[1] Ahetuki Krpa: In the pandal during DMC when one Dada was on stage reading his purport of Prabhat Samgiita #228, then Sadguru Baba graciously corrected that Dada's definition of ahetuki krpa in front of everybody to make the matter clear to one and all.

Baba says, "In this universe of ours everything is causal; everything is hetuki. Everything is causal. Only three entities are non-causal, are of non-causal character. One is transmutation of non-attributional entity into attributional faculty. And second is creation of this universe. And the third one is the krpa of Parama Purusa. Parama Purusa is not to explain for His conduct when He does his krpa or where He attracts anybody towards Him. So these three entities - three items - are of non-causal character. The ahetuki krpa, that is non-causal blessing or non-causal gratitude." (4 June 1990 MGD)

How to be mentally free

Here Baba supplies us with the special formula for keeping mental balance and not succumbing to any type of superiority complex.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "People must always bear in mind that 'Whatever I have acquired is all by the grace of Parama Purus'a. If He decides that I should not possess wealth [or any other quality etc], He will take it away at any moment He wishes.' So no one should feel pride about anything under any circumstances." (1)

Note: By seeing everything as Baba's fathomless grace then we will not get puffed up with vanity and instead will be able to maintain mental balance at all times.

H group inflates the number

Namaskar,

One of Rudrananda's favorite gimmicks is to puff up and hyperinflate the numbers of DMS attendees. Indeed, all the groups like to do this in order to brag about their popularity and so-called success. But now they are caught in their own web of deceit because in this era of covid every participant can easily see the exact number of attendees. So the organisers cannot openly lie by guess-estimating and padding the numbers of the crowd size like they used to do with outdoor DMS gatherings. But even then look what happened. Less than 200 people were online for the NY DMS and then Rudrananda's stooges paid money to put an article in Indian newspapers that thousands and thousands attended their DMS. But that is a blatant lie and falsehood because any who attended can easily see the exact number at any given time - and always it was a small, small fraction of what they are claiming. i.e. less than 2% or 3% of what they are claiming.

in Him,
Govinda

Just a figure of mythology, not history

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Many of you are aware of the fact that Ramchandra was not an historical figure, but a fictional one: he was an imaginary character to represent an ideal king. Maharśi Valmiki was the first person to give proper expression to that character. But the poet Tulsidas tried still harder, in the Mughal period, not very long ago, to accomplish this through the Rámacaritamánasa, written in the Avadhii language. The Rámacaritamánasa is not the complete Rámáyańa. Tulsidas described the character of Rama as he thought Rama should be; he delineated the character of Rama as he conceived of Rama in his own mind. Tulsidas was a truthful person. He did not name his book the Tulasiidásii Rámáyańa, he named it Rámacaritamánasa [“The Life of Rama As Conceived by Tulsidas”].” (1)

Criando niños margiis + PS #0622 (español)

Baba

Criando niños margiis

Namaskar,

Haciendo margiis a nivel masivo

(Prabhat Samgiita #0622)

Significado:

O' Parama Purusa, si Tú quieres dejarme, si Tú quieres irte, yo no diré nada. No me opondré a Tu partida. No me importará.
