Baba
Namaskar,
Some feel uncomfortable using their Saḿskrta names in public. Yet those Saḿskrta names give deep meaning and spiritual value to their life. We all know that Baba's unique system of Saḿskrta names is one key aspect of the universal culture of our Ananda Marga and integral to the formation of one human society.
Baba's story in DMC
(1) During His tour of Berlin Sector, Baba Himself was emphasizing the importance of Saḿskrta names. Time and again, He beautifully explained the meaning of various names and, on multiple occasions, He also corrected the then PA Dada ji's pronunciation of Saḿskrta names. This all shows how Baba was very particular on this point, and one beautiful scene also comes to mind.
At one DMC, we held our usual kaoshikii and tandava contests and, when Dada ji called out the names of the participants, he announced the name of one sister, Ama'vati. Immediately, Baba pointed out that this name meant “darkness” or “new moon”; and, then and there, in front of one and all, Baba graciously told that her name should be Jyotismati, meaning “divine effulgence”. And, in that special way, that sister took on this new name. Certainly this was Baba's blessing on her. Here, the overall idea is that clearly Baba was ensuring every sadhaka has a proper Saḿskrta name.

Infusion of spirituality
Here are some of the well known facts about Saḿskrta.
(2) The AM system of Saḿskrta names has a beautiful and deep spiritual significance. These Saḿskrta names have a proper spiritual meaning and that is why Baba has implemented this system in AM. Baba is always encouraging the use of Saḿskrta names because they make human existence glorified and meaningful. Human life is an ideological flow-- so ideology should be reflected in each and every action.
So Saḿskrta names carry a special vibration and import. Whereas legal names etc from most other languages, especially from many European countries, do not have any meaning—or they may even carry some dogmatic meaning.

Point of unity
(3) Every Ananda Margii knows that Baba has created a beautiful system to form one human society. In that system, we will all have common names using the commonality of the Saḿskrta language. Baba has beautifully explained in His grammar books, and in so many other discourses, that Saḿskrta links to most of the world’s languages. The overall sense is that Saḿskrta names provide a social spark and a beautiful spiritual link.
(4) So Saḿskrta is a unifying language for the entire world. Saḿskrta has a relationship with most languages because they have their roots in Saḿskrta. So the common language for naming can only be done through Saḿskrta. Due to its unique connection with nearly every language base, Saḿskrta unifies humanity and serves as a tool for forming one human society.
(5) Naturally then Saḿskrta should be treated as one's own. Today, most of the major languages have Saḿskrta roots in one form or another. So Saḿskrta stands as a common bond that unites all people.

Baba's distinct style
(6) In His Ananda Vacanamrtam series, Baba has given several discourses explaining Saḿskrta names.
(7) When Baba initiated new avadhutas, He always gave new names and explained the meaning of those names. This further demonstrates how Baba places much importance on the Saḿskrta language and that it is the ideal language for naming.
(8) Our spiritual names have deep significance, and, as Saḿskrta is such a concentrated language, even small words contain a very detailed and elaborate meaning.
(9) Furthermore, using Saḿskrta names is Baba’s beautiful blessing on humanity, and we should be strict in following His dharmic guidelines and system on the use of Saḿskrta names.
Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "At the time of initiation or shortly afterwards, those who do not have a Saḿskrta name should be given one...The Saḿskrta name should be used in all worldly dealings." (2)
Conclusion
Here's is Baba's blessing that in each and every sphere of life we have the opportunity to implement dharma in the society.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "In this entire universe, the wind is blowing in our favour. It is the most opportune time to do something for the present and future humanity. At this critical juncture one moment of time has the value of 100 years. Utilise the present position -- utilise the situation." (3)
Namaskar,
In Him,
Ba’ba’shiis’a
We should be courageous
(10) So all margiis should feel proud to use their Saḿskrta name. However, those who lack basic courage or suffer from laja (shyness), often just give their mundane name when introducing themselves-- or when writing etc. And good family margiis always give their children a Saḿskrta name, and that is their real name which is used in all legal matters. In this way, we are moving forward at a very fast speed in making one human society where all are moving in the same direction, i.e. towards Parama Purusa.
Saḿskrta names bring beauty & charm
(11) The use of Saḿskrta names is very important. It is a key ingredient in life, and, without that, life is lackluster. It is just like whatever recipe you make, if there is a lack of salt, it becomes tasteless. Likewise for those margiis not using a Saḿskrta name, their personality is devoid of charm. By not using or writing the Saḿskrta name, that exposes the whole identity that this person is a new margii. Those who are bhaktas easily understand all these points. But due to lack of bhakti and / or materialistic tendencies, some feel shy to use their Saḿskrta names.

Cause of not using
(12) Baba says in SS part III that those who are not established on the path of spirituality are shy to practice in front of others. So usually those who do not have deep devotion, feel shy to reveal themselves as Ananda Margiis and they feel shy to tell others that they are vegetarian and most of the time they do not like to tell or use their own Saḿskrta name. Or the Saḿskrta names of others. But this is only because of their weakness of the mind and lack of proper moral strength. In Subhasita Samgraha part 3, Baba explains that those who suffer from such a weakness of mind due to materialism or other negative philosophies get these psychic complexes.
Ananda Marga ideology says, "Those who are reared in the cradle of materialistic ideologies, feel shy or ashamed at first to sit in meditation in the presence of others." (1)
Likewise, those who do not like to use their own Saḿskrta name in public is the expression of a new sadhaka, as evidenced by the above teaching.
Following our dharma
(13) Baba's beautiful ideas about Saḿskrta should be propagated more and more. By that way, along with sadhana, new and old sadhakas will easily cultivate the requisite courage to use their Saḿskrta name for all realms of life. That shyness to use their Saḿskrta name will fade away. So this is another reason why Baba's teachings related with Saḿskrta should be highlighted and explained.

Universality of Saḿskrta
These following interesting and unique points given by Baba all point towards the universality of the Saḿskrta language and how most of the various local languages from around the globe find their roots and origin in the Saḿskrta.
Ananda Marga philosophy states: "In Saḿskrta the word 'duhitr' is derived by adding trn' to the verbal root duh-- in Latin, duhitar; in modern English, 'daughter'. Since the word 'duhitr' contains the letter 'ha', the English 'daughter' is also spelled with an 'h', however over time its pronunciation has been lost. From this it can clearly be deduced that both English and Saḿskrta are Vedic languages, hence the many similarities between the two. For example, the word "night" is naktram' in Vedic and noctrum in old Latin. The Latin adjective is 'nocturnal'." (4)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Silik in Arabic means 'fine fibre'. The fine fibres that came to Bengal from China were given the Saḿskrta name ciina'm'shuka. This cinna'm'shuka was given the Farsi name resham and the Arabic name silk. Arab merchants used to export this cinna'm'shuka to the markets of Europe. When they were heard saying the Arabic word in Europe, cinna'm'shuka became 'silk' with the help of a little fault pronunciation." (5)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The proper eating and digesting of the surplus food in the appendix is called romanthana in Saḿskrta … In good English we call it "rumination" and in spoken English "chewing the cud." (6)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The word jina'na (knowledge) is derived from the Saḿskrta root verb jina' (to know).... The verb jina' was changed into keno in old Latin language. In Saḿskrta the pronunciation is jina', in Bengali jina, in the Rgvedic language jina, in Old Latin keno, and in Modern English "know"-- as the original spelling of the word was "kenow", we still spell the word with a "k" at the beginning without actually pronouncing it." (YP) Baba says, "Vedic Saḿskrta is a language about 15,000 years old... in Saḿskrta each and every word is created from a root verb." (7)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Sam'skrta is a classical subject as well as an ancient language. It is the mother of all the mother languages of South Asia and Southeast Asia." (8)
Ananda Marga philosophy says. "There is a very close relationship between Vedic and all other classical languages of the world. If Vedic is properly nourished and encouraged it will encourage the unity of the world and a cordial relationship amongst human beings will develop." (9)
Ananda Marga philosophy explains, "Latin is the daughter of Vedic and so is Sam'skrta. If Sam'skrta is used human unity will be encouraged and human beings will move closer together. See how sweet the link is between Vedic, Sam'skrta and the other classical languages of the world? So you should encourage the study of Sam'skrta." (10)
Hence it is clear that Saḿskrta is one unifying force and that is linked with all languages of the globe. Hence every person has the right to call Saḿskrta as their own.
Nowadays, when the world is moving deeper and deeper into crisis, more and more margiis and acaryas will have a greater role to play in the general society. People are looking for answers and directions about which way to go. They see that politicians are trustless, various disasters are on the rise, and psychic tension is increasing. As a means of finding some calm in all this chaos, many are turning to yoga, which is experiencing a world-wide boom. So, from many angles, the common society is reaching out for answers, and, by Baba's grace, we can provide them with the proper path.

My entire being
"A'mi bhule gechi sei dine ks'an' yabe toma're dekechi anupam..." (Prabhat Samgiita #1147)
Purport:
My Parama Purusa, I have forgotten the time and day when I first saw You, but the sweet memory and the spiritual vibration are still resonating in my mind. My most Dear, You are anupam - the Incomparable One. Even now when I think about You, that nectar of grace is ever-present.
From the vibration that is emanating from the vast blue sky, the omkara sound resounds and floats in the air. I became lost in that form and attraction. That divine ecstasy permeates my whole existence and overpowers my entire being with that supreme love.
Baba, the infinite kindness and sweet aroma which You showered on the animate entities of this dusty earth You also bestowed eternally in my mind. By listening to the melody of the song which You sang, even the most filthy became perfectly pure.
Baba, my Beloved, I forgot that very special moment when You blessed me with Your blissful prema. But when I think about You, that love becomes alive and my whole self gets vibrated; it saturates my heart. Baba You are so gracious; Your love is unforgettable...
