Bad vs good unity
Namaskar,
In numerous discourses Sadguru Baba stresses the importance of working collectively and remaining united.
Ananda Marga Caryacarya guides us, "The unity of A'nanda Ma'rgiis should not be allowed to be jeopardised for any reason. Unity should be maintained even at the risk of your life." (1)
WT conduct rules state, "Always remain united and organised. Solve all problems big and small in a united way. Advise every Ananda Margii to remain united at all times." (2)
Ananda Vanii says, "Human Society is one and indivisible, don't try to divide it. Each and every individual should be looked upon as the manifestation of the Cosmic Entity." (3)
Cannot do great works individually
All margiis know that Baba emphasizes how the only way great things can be accomplished is by remaining united. And that unity means the unity of moralists, i.e. those committed to the ideals of neo-humanism. A black pact made in the dark of the night between factional forces and criminal elements is not the unity Baba is talking about. Yet, since 1991, that is all there has been.

So unity is important because alone, one may be able to solve small, individual problems, but manifesting great works on a grand scale is far beyond one's individual capacity. A strong collective effort is needed. That demands a methodical, organised approach and leadership based on the ideals of neo-humanism.
Human beings have the intellectual capacity to proceed in this collective manner. And Baba guides us to work unitedly and collectively. His discourses on samgacchadhavam and related topics stress this point of proper collective movement. In addition, in 1990, Baba took oaths from so many workers and margiis who pledged to Him that they would work in a coordinated, cooperative manner based on unity.
Pigs don't move together
In one general darshan (4), Baba makes a unique distinction and comparison. In that discourse, Baba explains how pigs do not have the requisite intellect to work unitedly. When pigs move, they all run in different directions. They do not have the capacity to move together. They cannot make a leader and proceed in an organised way. They all move and run according to their own whim. That is what happens when any farmer lets a bunch of pigs out of their barn.
Baba then goes on to say that human beings have the required intellect to work collectively in an organised fashion. That is part of being human. So those in human framework who fail to work cooperatively and instead engage in acts that go against the collective movement are no different from pigs. Such people are animals like pigs, or even worse. That is the graphic comparison that Baba makes.
Baba emphasizes that humans should never move like pigs, hither, and thither. Tragically, those involved in group oriented feuds, clannish battles, and factional struggles are by definition not working in a collective manner.

Unity based on ideology
We have to take a hard look at those involved in group-oriented activities and those fighting for their own group interest - instead of universal well-being. We have to see if they are the cause for why things in AMPS are going against Baba's directive of unity and working together.
In the samgacchadhvam mantra, in His Ananda Vaniis, in Caryacarya, and in the 1990 oaths - as well as so many other occasions, Baba has highlighted that we must work together. That is ideal human activity. By the various actions of group leaders etc, we must evaluate if such persons are following human behaviour or something else which Baba has described above. You the reader must contemplate this on your own.
Now is the time for all good people to rally together around the saffron flag and be vigilant. Remember, those dominated by group or clan allegiances openly speak of universality, but we will not be befooled. They have made such promises time and again since 1990. But always they return to their factional agenda. Now is the moment for neo-humanists to unite. And verily, most in our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha have this inclination. All that is left then is to act in a coordinated, cooperative manner to manifest sentient unity, based on universalism.

Black pact vs unity of moralists
Let us never forget, the unity which Baba advocates is the unity of good people, i.e. neo-humanists - not that of thieves, groupists, and criminals. Moralists of the world must unite and stand together raising the flag of dharma, i.e. Ananda Marga ideology. This is the type of unity that is so desperately needed on this earth.
Unfortunately, thus far we have only witnessed the unity of selfish, greedy, and wicked people. And that has wreaked havoc on this planet. The large masses of innocent people have been besieged and tortured at the hands of these exploiters. Sadly, the wrong type of unity based on a black pact has been achieved - not sentient unity.
Now is the time for this all to change: Moralists of the world must unite - those wishing to establish the ideals of neo-humanism in our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha must rally together. There is no other way.
Conclusion
Most margiis and field workers are deeply interested in working collectively for the upliftment of humanity. And by Baba's grace it will not be long before our Marga society is a perfect reflection of samgacchadhvam spirit.

The collectivity is not outside you – your future is inseparably connected with the collective fortune. Spiritual sentiment will keep humans united
Prout philosophy teaches us, "One Cosmic ideology will have to be propagated and that ideology is that one Supreme Entity - the Cosmic Entity - Who is the goal of all living beings. This spiritual sentiment will keep human beings united for all time to come. No other theory can save the human race." (6)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Unity among the members of any society or social structure is absolutely necessary otherwise the structure will start disintegrating. Lack of unity among the members of society because of too much self-interest in the individual members, the formation of groups for economic or social advantage...not only brings about the downfall of society but also completely wipes it off from the face of the earth." (7)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Those who indulged in vain criticism and slandering instead of trying to remove the factors dividing the human race, created even more problems for society. That's why there is more disunity than unity in the human society today." (8)
Unity: ideal of Brahma will be everlasting
Ananda Vanii states, "The marching together of all in unison is termed as the society..." (9)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The entire society of A'nanda Ma'rga is founded on a common ideal, the goal of becoming one with Brahma...the unity in a society founded on the ideal of Brahma will be everlasting." (10)
Ananda Marga teachings state, "The following ensures unity in society - a common ideal, a casteless society, collective social functions and no capital punishment." (11)
Remain disunited is something unnatural
Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "The only way to establish universalism is to bring about mental expansion through spiritual practice. The inculcation of the spiritual outlook will not only strengthen the boundaries between nations but will lead to the establishment of a universal state, a global nation, with a common thread of unity and aspiration. That nation will be known as the human nation." (12)
WT conduct rules state, "We are all the children of the same Father, we are all members of the same family. By fighting against all kinds of evil forces, we will establish the glory of our Father and the glory of our family." (13)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Continuously inspire and encourage the common bonds of unity and thus strengthen humanity. Only then will the human society become one and indivisible. Only then will it be worthy of being called a 'human society'." (14)
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Remaining together is natural for you, and to remain disunited is something unnatural. You know well that unnaturality is not tolerated by Prakrti. Unnaturality is ultimately destroyed. So it is natural for human beings to live together and to make a great Universe. By not doing so, and by mutual fight, all will be destroyed. This is the law of Prakrti. Hence, united you will have to remain, this is your duty. So that the people of the world may remain united, it is your duty to bring the Mahavishva as soon as possible." (15)

How the mighty exploit & the exploited suffer
Following is a concentrated review which gives a picture of the past and present exploitation going on across the planet. It is obvious, both in the European Union and the US, that technologically advanced areas / countries are exploiting the “backwards” provinces or “backwards” countries. That is why downtrodden areas (province or country) are frustrated and depressed. Because they see what the wealthy exploiters are doing.
Take the case of the US. The eastern and western coasts of the US are extremely rich while the rural middle part of the country is comparatively poor and depressed. In the economic arena, the coastal cities are the victors and the rural areas are the losers. This same formula works in India or any so-called developing or developed country. That is why many wish to leave the European Union, and that is why the economic situation of those in the central, rural areas of the US are in terrible despair. This is a world-wide phenomena. Please pay special attention to the yellow highlighted lines below.
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Motivated by socio-sentiment, one social group tries to forcibly dominate another group, with the intention that “We will utilize the exploited group or their land” – here the group is more important than the land – “as a source of raw materials. The finished products will be manufactured within our area, and then we will utilize the exploited country as the market for our goods.””
“What can the financially-handicapped groups do in this situation? They are forced to enslave themselves to the powerful countries or groups because of their fear complex born of their impotence or poverty. And what is the outcome of such slavery?”
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “In the next phase, the exploited painfully find themselves reduced to the position of suppliers of raw materials and purchasers of finished products. They are economically ruined. Such things happen as a result of both psycho-economic exploitation and politico-economic exploitation. Intelligent people should analyse this carefully.”
“When this exploitation is perpetrated by the application of brute force, it is politico-economic exploitation; but when it is done not through brute force but through the application of cunning intellectual strategy, it is primarily psycho-economic exploitation”
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Now, whatever may be the nature of this psycho-economic or politico-economic exploitation, its inevitable outcome is that the exploiters not only exploit the people directly or indirectly, but also govern them. This makes the exploitation easier for the rulers.” (1)

How to perfect the kośas
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "The paincakośas shall have to be perfected, but how is it possible? They can be consummated only through the practice of yama and niyama [and the various lessons of sadhana]. The annamaya kośa is perfected through asanas (physical postures). Yama and niyama sádhana perfect the kámamaya kośa. The manomaya Kośa is perfected through pránáyáma. Through pratyáhára the atimánasa kośa is perfected. The vijinánmaya kośa is perfected through dhárańá and the hirańmaya kośa through dhyána. Only dhyána samádhi gives access to the soul. Pious persons are those who are earnest in their efforts to perfect the paincakośa. Human existence consists of the five kośas and spiritual practice is eightfold. This spiritual practice is Dharma. That which does not provide for the explanation of the paincakośa is not Dharma, but sectism." (1)
Ananda Marga ideology says, "The loka above this where the hiran'maya kos'a (subtle causal mind) is established is what we call devarloka (satya loka). When sa'dhakas merge their petty I-feeling from the realm of the devarloka (where this I-feeling is not very much evident) -- into the bearing of the Great, they establish themselves fully in Sagun'a Brahma (Qualified Consciousness -- the collectivity of Parama'tman, Macrocosm and Microcosm). In this loka, if the whole of the I-feeling (asmita) is shattered and merged in Purus'a, the unit attains total identification with Nirgun'a Brahma (Unqualified or Objectless Consciousness). This loka is the satyaloka -- this indeed is the Brahmaloka. The one who is established in this loka is alone the Brahman'a (Bra'hmin')." (2)

How capitalists manipulate education
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The system of education prevailing today was formulated or evolved long ago, mainly with a view to suit the needs of the capitalist class. For the last three to four thousand years, the same type of education is being imparted. The main purpose behind this sort of educational system is to create persons with a slavish mentality to fulfill need of those capitalist exploiters. This sort of education is fundamentally defective. It is certain that this type of education which serves the capitalists' interests is not at all suitable. This sort of education creates obstacles in the evolution of humanity. We have to thoroughly revamp the entire educational system. A new educational system must evolve to produce sadvipras." (1)
Note: Those who are bragging about the standard of their education should know what type and what category of knowledge they have. In this regard, we should ponder Sadguru Baba's above guideline.
