Samaj & groupism + 6 more

Baba

Samaj & groupism

Namaskar,

Here is one special feature of our samaj system that should always be kept in mind: The samaj movement is based 100% on universalism, not groupism. So one must remember that while encouraging local sentiments, universalism should not be forgotten. Otherwise it will turn into groupism.

It is just like driving on a mountainous road. If you are careful and follow the rules then you will reach your destination safely. But if you lose sight of where you are going, then you will crash, and your life will be destroyed.

A lack of universality in any samaj movement can turn into a groupist agenda. That is why the Propounder of Prout and the samaj system, Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar emphasizes that our samaj movements must be based on the slogan, "universal in spirit but regional in approach." (1)

Loss of universality turns into groupism

A similar idea of universality has been expressed in His book, "To The Patriots." The unity of a country should be strengthened on the point of cosmic fraternity and universal brotherhood. This is the Proutistic guideline. Devoid of this, any semblance of unity will just be national sentiment, i.e. nationalism, which is a limited and narrow-minded outlook.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Same is the case with samaj. Devoid of incorporating universal values, the samaj just becomes one group based on self-interest. It is not a samaj in the true sense of the term. Because the Proutistic samaj system is based on universalism. That is an integral component. There is no scope to equate a samaj with any type of groupism or factionalism etc. Prout's samaj's system has nothing to do with groupism.

Rather the Prout samaj system can be likened to one flower garden where so many varieties of flowers get scope to blossom. And each one has its own independent beauty, yet collectively they can be wreathed together to form one colourful garland. So there is no question of one flower being superior to another, or more valuable than another. Because all have their own unique, intrinsic quality; and, when joined together they collectively form one garland. And this same type of unity is preached by our samaj theory: Every samaj can develop in a manner that is complementary to the growth of other samajas. And together all samajas can form one beautiful human society.

Samaj is based on Prout and neo-humanism

Neo-humanism aims to root out narrow sentiments and establish universal ideals, love for all; and, the Proutistic samaj theory moves in the very same direction. The samaj movement and guidelines of neo-humanism are complementary. They are not antithetical to one another. Rather the two work together in perfect harmony and balance - like two wings of a bird.

Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar states, "The relationship amongst PROUT, Neo-Humanism and spirituality may be likened to the bird of Tantra...[where] Spirituality is like the Tantric bird, and one wing is PROUT and the other wing is Neo-Humanism. And the bird is flying along the path of beatitude towards the Supreme Entity." (2)

And as discussed above, one key aspect of Prout is the samaj system, which is one special program that provides for the all-round development and growth of all downtrodden peoples and neglected areas. Without this there is no other way to build up one human society.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Conclusion

The samaj system removes psychic diseases like inferiority and superiority complexes. And when people overcome these psychic diseases, their mind becomes balanced. In that case, there is no scope for them to develop any complex about their samaj. Rather they will think that all samajas are great, and every samaj should get scope to grow and flourish. They will adopt a more universal stance, thinking that, “All belong to Parama Purusa and all lands are my land, not just one particular area.” So, in this way, the samaj movements are universal in spirit and dynamic, and lead one forward along the path of dharma and universal welfare. A lack of universality in any samaj movement can turn into a groupist agenda.

Criteria for the formation of samajas

Prout philosophy states, "Socio-economic units [samajas] should be formed on the basis of factors such as common economic problems; uniform economic potentialities; ethnic similarities; common geographical features; and people’s sentimental legacy, which arises out of common socio-cultural ties like language and cultural expression. Each socio-economic unit will be completely free to chalk out its own economic plan and the methods of its implementation." (3)

All want freedom

Everybody wants freedom in all spheres: physical, psychic, and spiritual. We all know that spiritual freedom is not possible on the collective level because of the divine rule that all cannot be granted salvation at the same time; but, collective freedom in the social realm is possible. To give this practical shape, Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar has given the samaj system, or socio-economic units.

In the below quote Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar is highlighting the important and invaluable role the samaj system has in creating a proper human society that is free of exploitation.

Prout philosophy states, "Human beings want freedom both as individuals and as members of society and to ensure this freedom they will fight against all types of oppression...collective freedom can only be ensured if there is comprehensive unbarred expression in the different spheres of life...For this to develop properly it is our duty to create a congenial atmosphere, a suitable socioeconomic environment." (4)

We should always remember this following guideline. Because positive movements like the samaj system always deserve our support and negative trends like groupism should always be tossed aside.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar states, "Those sentiments which are conducive to human unity should be encouraged, rejecting the sentiments which create a rift in human society." (5)

Only You are mine

"Tumi ácho ámio áchi, ár keu nei e tribhuvane..."  (Prabhat Samgiita #2027)

Purport:

Parama Purusa, In this entire universe - throughout this tribhuvan - only You and I exist. There is nothing else in this whole universe. I love You so much. You have brought me here in this life. Baba, with Your love and compassion, You are helping me, always keeping me under Your wings. By Your divine grace, I always receive Your tender love and care - both in times of great joy, as well as in times of intense suffering. Always, in each and every circumstance, I feel Your sweet and loving presence. In our closeness only You and I remain. In this whole universe there is none besides You.

Parama Purusa, by Your mercy I receive Your blissful touch in the refulgence of the dawn. Prabhu, Your charming smile gets expressed in the blossom of the lily and in the flowering of the lotus. In the dry, burning desert You are the soothing balm. In that unbearable heat, You provide a cool oasis and lush verdant leaves. In my gloomy days, You are my hope. O' Supreme Entity, You are ever gracious on me and saturate my dreams with Your eternal presence.

Baba, Parama Purusa, in the form and fragrance of the tender flowers, You dance and emanate in the vast blue sky. You always manifest Your ever-blissful Self in each and every cell of my being - as well as in the most distant corner of my mind everywhere. Your magnanimous, illuminating smile shines like a blissful, fixed lightning bolt throughout my entire existence - inside my mind, as well as in each and every pore of this vast, infinite cosmos, and also in every mind in the universe.

Baba, You are that most effulgent and loving Personality - I offer myself at Your altar...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #2027:

Tribhuvan / triloka: The prefix "Tri" means 'three' and the term "bhuvan" means 'world'. And here Ananda Marga ideology further clarifies what He exactly means by tribhuvan, or the three worlds:

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Tribhuvana means the expressed world, the psychic world and the astral world or, you may say, Causal World." (1)

This following section about triloka is from general darshan of 16 July 1980 in Patna. The two excerpts cited below define what the three lokas are and where they exist.

What are the three lokas

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The Supreme cognitive faculty is the subjectivity. And the second compartment of His Cosmic Mind takes the form of this moving world, of this animated or inanimated world. Everything resides, everything is created, everything is maintained, everything is nourished, and everything undergoes final metamorphosis within the vast objectivated mind, that is within the second mental counterpart of the Supreme Entity...”

“Now, what's the meaning of triloka, tribhuvana ? You have got a physical body made of so many elements, so many compounds. And we say it is [the] quinquelemental universe, composed of five fundamental factors...”

“And you exist in this realm of physicalities. This is one bhuvana. And, the subtler portion of the physical structure of living beings, when that subtler portion gets powdered down, is metamorphosed into ectoplasm, it becomes the mind. You have got a mind. And as all of you know, you are not the mind. You are the owner of the mind. So, your second existence is the mental world. Second world...”

“Your "I" is concentrated round your ego. And that pinnacled ego touches the astral stratum. So, that astral stratum is the third world. One physical world, another mental world, and another that subtle astral world. So, there are three worlds.” (2)

Where three lokas exist

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Both for microcosm and Macrocosm. In case of Macrocosm, all these three worlds lie within the second compartment of the [Cosmic] mind. First compartment is the cognitive mind. And second compartment is the "done mind", objectivated mind, mind that can be seen, that can be realized, that can be enjoyed singularly. So, these are the three bhuvanas, three worlds.” (3)

Why sadhakas leave the path of tantra

Ananda Marga ideology says, "It is a fact that the force of Avidyá disturbs a spiritualist more than it disturbs an ordinary person. Various situations arise in life such as material difficulties, family unrest, abundant wealth, tremendous reputation, acute financial distress, or extreme humiliation. Sádhakas will have to bravely confront these mundane situations as a test. They must never think in terms of retreat – it would be fatal, for the Avidyá force would stab them as soon as their backs were turned. In all circumstances one must continue the process of sádhaná to gradually enhance one's latent psychic and spiritual power.” (1)

Note: In this world, if you do bad things, then vidya maya will come and try and disturb you. If a new thief tries to commit a robbery, the vidya create fear in your mind that you will be arrested and sentenced to jail. And if you do good things, then avidya maya will come and disturb you more fiercely. If you do sadhana then avidya maya will become furious and attack you in one or more of the below mentioned ways:
  • material difficulties
  • family unrest
  • abundant wealth
  • tremendous reputation
  • acute financial distress
  • extreme humiliation
The work of avidya is not limited to the above listed points. There are numerous ways in which it can attack you. Avidya maya wants that you should give up your sadhana. That is why we see that in the aforesaid situation, 99% margiis run from the field of battle and avidya maya stabs them in the back, i.e. they leave their sadhana. Verily they are defeated by avidya maya.

So the only way is to fight back. If a sadhaka gets a lot of money or prestige, or undergoes acute financial distress, then they should be vigilant and pointedly understand that this is the trap of avidya maya. And they should be more strict in Sixteen Points. But we see before our very eyes that so many sadhakas after facing the above situations become pseudo-margiis or leave the path of Ananda Marga entirely. If you watch carefully, you will see that various people get the Sadguru and the path of tantra only to run away due to material difficulties, family unrest, abundant wealth, tremendous reputation, acute financial distress, or extreme humiliation, as well as other related reasons.

How to use 2nd lesson

Ananda Marga ideology states, “How then in this manifested Universe, where there are multitudes of finite objects can we start a life based on Brahma? The answer is that you adopt Madhuvidyá. Instead of seeing the finite and superficial objects as finite look upon them as the finite expressions of the Infinite or the permanent. Then the attraction for Preya and love for Shreya shall all fuse into one."

"Do you love your son? It is perfectly right that you should, however, when the son dies, you will experience great pain. Is it not so? The son is Preya, a finite entity. He cannot live till eternity. He will depart and make you weep. But if you treat your son as the expression of Brahma in the form of your son, then you will never fear losing him because Brahma cannot be lost in any span of time. He is present around you in all the ten directions."

Ananda Marga ideology states, "O Human beings, in that state, no finite object can colour your mind. You will be beyond all colours or Varńátiita. Then you will be able to give proper treatment to any finite being that you may come in contact with. Give proper treatment to the expression of Brahma in the shape of your father by serving him and paying attention to his comforts. Give proper treatment to the expression of Brahma in the shape of the earth by cultivating it and increasing its fertility. If you give such proper treatment to the different objects, they will not be able to degrade your mind. This is  called true Vaerágya." (1)

Religion makes animals + 5 more

Baba

Religion makes animals

Namaskar,

The most detrimental aspect of religion is that people stop using their brain. In any era, or country or place where religion is very dominant, people are forced to blindly follow dogmatic edicts and keep away from rational analysis. In that way, they degrade themselves to near animals.

This is not just limited to religious affairs but in all spheres of life those believers become accustomed to blindly following certain politicians and radio show hosts. A leader declares: "Vote for this candidate", "support this proposition", "buy this product", and the people respond - blindly. Their habit to passively follow and obey - without using their brain or rational intellect - applies to social, political, and economic life as well. Verily that habit of not using their brain in other spheres of life is the byproduct of religion.

Everyone knows that the rational intellect is the unique quality of being human yet the religions mostly force people not to use their intellect; those religions stifle the entire method of free inquiry and open discussion. If we gradually encourage logic and reasoning, especially with youths, then gradually the hateful religions will be a relic of the past.

The rate at which religion is fading now is staggering; it is on a big downturn. Now is the moment to raise the slogan of intellectual freedom and rational thinking. Then we can get success because religion does not allow logic and reasoning. That is why we should establish educational and neo-humanistic institutions around the globe to teach others to use their brain and cultivate rational thinking.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Unquestioned authority cause of destruction

One should use their analytical mind and powers of discrimination to see if there is an obvious flaw in that authority’s perspective. And if such a process of questioning is not allowed then that becomes the cause of untold human suffering and destruction. Followers of all the major religions treat their scripture as an unquestionable authoritative voice. So questioning that scripture with logic and reasoning is not allowed. That is why those religious doctrines are deadly.

For example, in Hinduism, one example is the Ramayana. It is seen as an authority on Ram’s birthplace so many were killed. Yet Ram is imaginary; Ram never took birth on this earth. And there is no logic supporting the Ramayana. Yet those blind followers of fought to the death over the place of Ram’s supposed birth.

The Koran / Quran that proclaims that if you kill non-Muslims you will go to heaven and be surrounded by seventy two virgin females which you can have as slaves. Or you can marry those seventy two virgin females as your wife and enjoy in this way for eternity etc. But you will only get this if you kill non-Muslims.

So an authority can become deadly when it is faulty and where logic and reasoning are not allowed. Of all such cases, religion / religious scripture is the worst. With all its injunctions, so many are senselessly butchered and killed on a daily basis at the hands of religious edicts etc. So much suffering occurs - war, murder, and terrorist activities wreak havoc in the name of religious injunctions. The toll on humanity is severe.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Religious scripture itself is poisonous

Often we find that political leaders do not have the courage to tell the truth. They do not want to proclaim that the cause is a defective religious scripture. Instead they place the blame on the misinterpretation of scripture, not the scripture itself. We see this regularly with Islam and terrorism. Politicians lay claim that the scripture is not at fault but rather the radical or extreme interpretation of that scripture is the problem. But that leaves the door open. In that case youths pick up the scripture and see that there is no problem with the scriptural interpretation. Those radicals are following the letter and spirit of those religious texts. In result those youths may join in and engage in those terrorist activities.

In another outlook, moderates, the media, and intellectuals tell people not to follow the scripture literally, but to read it metaphorically. But this sermon does not work. Those who are the real followers of a religion will abide by a literal rendering of that scripture - only.

Only those with an open, rational mind can see that indeed the scripture itself is at fault. When the scripture expresses so much hatred towards others / outsiders, branding them as heathens and demons etc, then how can one read that as metaphor and build a unified humanity. It just cannot work. So one has to have the courage to poignantly state that the religious scripture itself is poisonous - not merely the interpretation of that scripture. Until people’s eyes are opened to the fact that religious scriptures are in fact deadly, this problem will linger on.

Questioning the Islamic code means inviting death

If we look at the history of Christianity, after the renaissance various thinkers, scientists, and writers exposed the religious hypocrisy of Christianity and the public became more educated on various issues. They began to use their brain - and not just blindly follow the church. Some left the church completely while others no longer viewed the church as their ultimate authority.

But both Islam and Judaism have a long way to go in this realm. Still a renaissance has not come in Islam and if anyone tries to start one then they will be immediately killed. This happened both in Pakistan and Bangladesh where a state governor was killed by his bodyguard (Pakistan) and a liberal professor was knifed in public (Bangladesh). Both were questioning the Islamic religious code and they subsequently met their death.

Deadly teaching of religion

~ Courtesy of AlJihadAnAbsentObligation ~
"There are three types of Shuhadah, Shaheed in Quran:

Quran orders #1:

“The first one is a person who went forth in the path of Allah (Jihad). His intention was not to fight or to be Shaheed, he joined solely to increase the number of the Muslims. If this person dies or is killed (in the path of Allah) all his sins will be  forgiven, he will be safe from the punishment of the grave, he will be safe from the fear of the day of Judgement and he will be wed to hoorain (women of Jannah), he will wear the clothes of honour, and a crown symbolising honour and eternal life in Jannah will be placed on his head. “

Quran orders  #2:

“The second type of Shaheed is a man who set out for Jihaad, with his wealth and life with the intention of reward. His intention was to kill the unbelievers and not to be killed. If he is killed or dies he will be in the grade of Ibraheem Alaihissalam, which is the honoured grade, in front of the King (Allah) who has power over all. “

Quran orders #3:

“The third type of Shaheed is he who set out for Jihaad, with his life and wealth intending reward and he is determined to kill or to be killed. If he is killed or dies he will come on the Day of Judgement with his sword on his shoulders when the people will be crawling on their knees.”

Quran orders #4:

“If a person is appointed to look after the goods of the Mujahideen from the orders of the Amir, has reward is not less than the person who is on the front line slaughtering kafirs (unbelievers). But if the Mujahid has assumed a position disobeying the Amir or not with his sole pleasure, then there is no reward for him, infact it will be a cause of sin. This is why it is a requirement for the Mujahideen to be obedient to the Amir and not to be sinners by doing what they wish.” (Courtesy of AlJihadAnAbsentObligation)

Religion causes disharmony & dissension in human society

Sadguru Baba’s chief teaching is that if an authority is a dogmatic scripture then it creates a huge disaster.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The third source of knowledge, ágama or authoritative documents, can provide real knowledge to human beings. However, if it is not based on spiritual realization, if it is a mere interpolation arising out of the fertile brain of an opportunist Vipra or intellectual, it can never bring real knowledge to people, but will sow seeds of disharmony and dissension in the human society. For instance, the scripture of a certain community states that the earth is fixed and the sun in moving around it. This assertion is of course absolutely wrong scientifically. If an erudite scientist points out this mistake, the orthodox followers of the scriptures will brand him or her an atheist. The scriptures of other communities proclaim that only the followers of their religion are the favourite children of God and others are damned heathens. To kill them is not at all a sin, rather one will attain a permanent place in heaven after their death. Such scriptures are very detrimental to human society.” (1)

And here below Baba furthermore points out the cruelty of religions like Islam.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Humanity, in its all-out quest for this aesthetic science, attained spirituality. One must acknowledge this. Herein lies the excellence of aesthetic science. For this reason, I have given my whole-hearted and explicit support for nandana vijiṋána. You know that there are certain religions which do not encourage aesthetic pursuits. You will notice that in those religions inertia, inferiority complexes and a sense of violence are predominant.” (2)

Conclusion

Depending upon an authority is deadly when logical debate and rational discussion are not allowed. And when an authoritative voice is based on faith it is poisonous. Only Ananda Marga is dharma. In Ananda Marga logic, reasoning, debate, and rational discussions are embraced. In contrast, the various Semitic faiths - like Christianity and Islam etc - and Hinduism are religions - not dharma. Religion and dharma are not the same thing.

The conclusion is that the religions are very detrimental to human society as they block human progress and turns humans into animals. Animals do not have rational intellect but humans do but they are not allowed to use it under the umbrella of religion. That is why those religions are inimical to human beings. The most harmful aspect of religion is that they do not allow logic, reasoning, or analysis. Rather they impose their outdated and rotten dogmas. This letter explains how the various religions do this.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

After 1990 AMPS fell in that same dungeon. There are so many dogmas where open discussion and logic and reasoning are not allowed - and a link to that letter has been appended below. Similarly, in religion, free and open discussions are not allowed; they impose their dogma. Rationality separates humans and animals. Due to rationality, humans are humans; animals do not have this. Religions bar rational thinking. That is why how and why religion turns humans into animals.

Famous persecuted scientists

Rhazes (865-925): Muhammad ibn Zakariyā Rāzī or Rhazes was a medical pioneer from Baghdad who lived between 860 and 932 AD. He was responsible for introducing western teachings, rational thought and the works of Hippocrates and Galen to the Arabic world. One of his books, Continens Liber, was a compendium of everything known about medicine. The book made him famous, but offended a Muslim priest who ordered the doctor to be beaten over the head with his own manuscript, which caused him to go blind, preventing him from future practice.

Michael Servetus (1511-1553): Servetus was a Spanish physician credited with discovering pulmonary circulation. He wrote a book, which outlined his discovery along with his ideas about reforming Christianity — it was deemed to be heretical. He escaped from Spain and the Catholic Inquisition but came up against the Protestant Inquisition in Switzerland, who held him in equal disregard. Under orders from John Calvin, Servetus was arrested, tortured and burned at the stake on the shores of Lake Geneva – copies of his book were accompanied for good measure.

Galileo
(1564-1642): The Italian astronomer and physicist Galileo Galilei was trialled and convicted in 1633 for publishing his evidence that supported the Copernican theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun. His research was instantly criticized by the Catholic Church for going against the established scripture that places Earth and not the Sun at the center of the universe. Galileo was found “vehemently suspect of heresy” for his heliocentric views and was required to “abjure, curse and detest” his opinions. He was sentenced to house arrest, where he remained for the rest of his life and his offending texts were banned. (Courtesy of Wired)

You are my soul

“Tumi ámár átmá, maner ádhár, priya sarvádhár..." (Prabhat Samgiita #4588)

Purport:

My Supreme One, You are my soul, the base of my mind, and my entire existence. You are my absolute foundation. Everything is depending upon You and revolving around You. In life as well as in death, You are existing all the time. In my daily existence, You are my Guide, and after my death also You remain with me eternally.

Parama Purusa, in the daytime, the sun rises and sets according to Your command. And in the nighttime the moon ascends and descends by Your order. All the galaxies and celestial bodies like the Milky Way, nebulae, and stars move according to Your wish. In the universe, You control every single expression.

Baba, the first time I experienced You and realised Your exquisite refulgence in my life, I lost myself completely. Parama Purusa, with Your supreme resplendence, please remove all my samskaras and stains, and make my life successful. Baba, You are my Soul of souls, Heart of hearts - You are my everything. I surrender myself completely unto You...

Impotency: cause and solution

These days around the globe in so-called advanced countries impotency is on the rise. In western countries, impotency is not very uncommon. Proof of this is that adoption agencies are earning a lot of money; they bring children from very poor areas like Africa, parts of Asia, free of cost and sell them to Euro-American countries for thousands of dollars. But the main problem is that impotency & infertility are on the rise. Here Baba gives the causes as well as the solutions.

Baba says, "If excessive waste of semen occurs due to the bad habit of masturbation during adolescence or youth, or due to lack of restraint in married life, the seminal fluid becomes thin and the symptoms of seminal weakness appear. This is also a kind of sexual debility, and it is called seminal infertility."

"A serious lack of sexual restraint will make the nerves of the pelvis and genitals weak or damaged...This is called genital impotency."

"As I have already said, impotency and infertility, in most cases if not all, are diseases of over-indulgence; so one should keep control over their thoughts and actions. The male should stay away from feminine company as long as the disease is not fully cured." (1)

Note 1: Those who suffer from this should take it very, very seriously. And others must understand so that they can help educate and serve the suffering masses. Looking around there are so many people who do not know these beautiful rules of Baba and they invite danger.

Note 2: Because of this the population is decreasing amongst certain communities.

Very first thing to know

Prout philosophy states, "None of the movable or immovable property of this universe belongs to any particular individual; everything is the common patrimony of all, and the Father of all is Brahma. All living beings can enjoy their rightful share of this property, like members of a joint family in the Dáyabhága(2) system. As members of a joint family, human beings should safeguard this common property in a befitting manner and utilize it properly. They should also make proper arrangements so that everyone can enjoy it with equal rights, ensuring that all have the minimum requirements of life to enable them to live in a healthy body with a sound mind." Are people too preoccupied with themselves

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Where people are guided more by ahaḿtattva [doer “I”, ego], they     say: “I am doing, I am giving. This was done by me, that was done by me,” and so on. [The higher faculty of mahattattva, pure “I” feeling, is not affected by any sense of ego or vanity.] Though people at this stage are moving on the path of sádhaná, still there is some defect in them. Their minds do not inspire the lives of others, their minds do not touch the minds of others. They do not reach the sweetness of others' “I” feelings, for they are too preoccupied with themselves. Their approach is defective; their path is not the path of Neohumanism." (1)
