Islam: Why there is so much killing and bloodshed -3

Note: A link to part one  & two has been appended below.

Namaskar,
"Still, Mecca at the time was a remarkably tolerant society. Muhammad was allowed to attack the local customs for thirteen years, even though the town's economy depended on the annual pilgrimage attended by visiting pagans, whose religion he actively disparaged.

Muhammad "marry" Abu Bakr's 6-year-old daughter

At first, Muhammad was only successful with friends and family. After thirteen years, “the street preacher” could boast of only about a hundred determined followers, who called themselves Muslims. Outside of his wife, his first convert was his young cousin Ali (who would later become his son-in-law and the fourth caliph of Islam). Another early convert was Abu Bakr, a wealthy merchant whose money and credulous acceptance of Muhammad can be credited with the survival of the fledgling cult. (Muhammad would later "marry" Abu Bakr's 6-year-old daughter). He would have sex with her when she turned 9 and was still prepubescent.

Muhammad recognize the local gods in addition to Allah

Relations with the Meccans turned particularly sour after an episode known as "e Satanic Verses" in which Muhammad agreed to recognize the local gods in addition to Allah. This delighted the Meccans, who generously extended their welcome. But Muhammad soon changed his mind after his own people began to lose faith in him. He claimed that Satan had spoken through him, and he rescinded recognition of the Meccan gods (Tabari 1192, Quran 22:52 & 53:19-26).

The locals intensified their mockery of Muslims and made life particularly difficult for some of them. Although Muslims today often use the word "persecution" to describe this ordeal (justifiably, in some cases), it is important to note that the earliest and most reliable biographers (Ibn Ishaq and al-Tabari) record the death of only one Muslim during this period, an older woman who died from stress.

Muslims became violent

This fact is a source of embarrassment to modern apologists, who do not like admitting that Muslims were the first to become violent at Mecca and that Muhammad was the first to resort to militancy... and at a later time, when it was entirely unnecessary.

Muhammad's search for political alliance led him to make a treaty of war against the Meccans with the people of Medina, another Arab town far to the north (Ibn Ishaq 299-301). This was the last straw for the Meccans, who finally decided to capture Muhammad and put him to death.

Although this sounds harsh against Western standards, it is important to note the contrast between the Meccan reaction and that of Muhammad when he had the opportunity to deal with perceived treachery in Medina at a later date on the part of those who hadn't even harmed anyone.

Muhammad slaughtered an entire tribe of Jewish

The Meccans limited their deadly aggression to Muhammad himself. This is quite clear from the episode in which Muhammad escapes his home by using his son-in-law, Ali, to trick his would-be assassins into thinking that they had him trapped (Ibn Ishaq 326). No harm was done to Ali or his wife, both of whom subsequently remained in the city for several days to complete the transfer of Muhammad's family business to Medina.

Compare this to the episode of the Banu Qurayza Jews, in which Muhammad slaughtered an entire tribe of Jewish people based on their leader having switched loyalties in a conflict in which none of them even participated.

The year that Muhammad fled Mecca for Medina was 622, which marks the beginning of the Muslim calendar." (1)

In spite of having You very close, it is still
not possible for me to fully realise You

Note: Only those bhaktas who feel a devotional vibration in their heart can understand this song in the depths of their core.

"Toma'ke ka'che peyeo cena' da'y..." (Prabhat Samgiita 2288)

Purport:

O' Parama Purusa, You are mine - You are very close to me. Often I think that I have understood You completely; but when I contemplate more deeply I understand that I know not. in spite of having You very close, it is still not possible for me to fully realise You. O' Divine Entity, You are my very intimate and closest One: Your mind can’t be understood. You smile softly and say You love me. Yet when I long for You and yearn to have You in a more intimate way, You are not coming that close. Then I think that I do not properly understand Your mind - Your desire. Otherwise surely You would come deep into the depths of my heart. Baba, O' my Dearmost, Alas, I do not know how to satisfy You completely. [1]

O' my Lord, just when I think I have completely understood You, and just when I think I have truly come to know You, i.e. Your desires and Your inner plans, then with Your divine liila You shower even more of Your divine love and I become restless to get You more and more close. I feel so much love for You in my heart that my eyes constantly rain and shower tears when I think of You. It is Your grace.

O' Parama Purusa Baba, due to Your infinite compassion I have understood that only You are the Essence. You alone are the Cosmic Nucleus of this vast universe. By Your grace I have forgotten all those transitory expressions; they can’t give me permanent shelter. I no longer run after the ephemeral things of this mundane world. Your divine liila is not easy to understand. I understand that Your liila cannot be understood. [2] Now I only say and sing: "O’ Forgiver of the mistakes, O' Lord please forgive me for my lapses, wrongdoing and negative deeds. Please shower Your causeless grace on me."

Baba, You can only be attained through surrender and love. O' Lord please grace me; please fill me with Your divine compassion...

Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #2288:

[1] To understand You fully, the unit mind must lose its individual identity. As long as one is cognizant of their own unit existence, then You cannot be realised.

[2] "Toma'r liila'y ha'r ma'niya'chi": This phrase from the third stanza of the above Prabhat Samgiita is neatly represented by these below teachings.

"Surrender yourself to His will. Shake off your load of self-conceit. Lighten the burden of your life and float yourself on the waves of His will. It is He who is teaching you the sa'dhana' in the guise of a Guru (preceptor); it is He who is strengthening your knowledge and faith in the guise of a philosopher. You are plundering His mercy in everything day and night. Go on working as a machine, leaving the doership to Him. How little can your poor intellect comprehend or analyse His unfathomable sport (liila')! So, instead of trying to comprehend or analyse keep the bearing of that inscrutable juggler aglow before your eyes." (1)

"Parama Puruśa is beyond the scope of relativity. Why is He making the world dance? Why has He made Paramarasa-Samudra? The answer to this cannot be known in the world of causality. Why Paramátmá has done something has no answer because He is beyond the scope of causality. Hence that which is non-causal, that which is beyond the scope of causality is Liilá. Whatever Paramátmá does is Liilá, but what Jiiva does is Kriidá. The wise will do Kriidá in such a way as to adjust their waves with the waves of Liilá. They will not try to know why Liilámaya has done an action. They will simply try to know Liilámaya Himself. If you cannot know the cause of a trifling thing like dancing, how can you know the cause of the action of Liilámaya? Jiiva has a very small brain and a very small cranium. It is not possible for it to know the action of Liilámaya. Suppose someone is an MA in 20 subjects. If he or she is asked suddenly to appear in the MA examination, he will not pass – he will have to read again, then he will have to appear. This proves that the Jiiva fails even to succeed in its own Kriidá. So how can it understand the cause of the Liilá of Liilámaya? It cannot. The best approach is to love Him, is to join His party. If there is true love the Master Magician will certainly make you understand everything because the more the members of His party know, the more convenient it is for Him." (2)

Future humans will disconnect their limbs

Prout philosophy states, "Compared to mechanical babes, biological babes will be perfect. Ova and spermatozoa, both being chemical compounds, can be created in a laboratory. Embryos, created by the fusion of spermatozoa and ova, can also be developed in a laboratory. Babes created by such a method will be called biological babes. The entire body, including the brain, can be created, but it is beyond the scope of human endeavour to create mind. As in the natural evolution of human beings, nature will put a bodiless mind into the embryo of the laboratory babes. This explains why a laboratory babe will not be free from saḿskáras or the reactions to past actions. With the development of medical science, laboratory babes can be given a long life in comparison to normal human beings."

"It may be possible for future humans to disconnect their limbs and move anywhere freely with their brain only. The different parts of the body of a biological babe can be replaced, but the brain cannot be replaced, for it is a brain with a particular set of saḿskáras, and hence replacement of the brain would mean replacement of the personality. The brain is a collection of nerve cells, the totality of which is the personality. It is not possible to change the brain without changing the nerve cells and consequently the personality." (1)

Innermost golden cavity of

“That very irresistible aspiration which leads human beings towards their goal with tremendous speed, also builds all sorts of social structures and generates newer social consciousness. With all sincerity in thought, words and deeds you have to build that aspiration, you have to awaken the cognitive faculty latent in the innermost golden cavity of every microcosmic mind. For you have to work to bring about the well-being of every entity; no benevolent individual can neglect anyone.” (Ananda Vanii #63)

Dogma: attaining salvation by fasting

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Some people consider it propitious to have a holy dip in the Ganges on certain auspicious days. Other people think that by standing knee-deep in water in the winter season they will attain virtue. It is sheer nonsense to expect emancipation in this way. These are merely physical actions which do not guarantee emancipation. However, they may bring emancipation in one way – one may contract a virulent typhoid fever or pneumonia and expire! Na muktirtapanáddhomádupavásah shataerapi. There are some people who die after fasting for thirty or forty days. The members of their community think that they have attained salvation thereby, but one cannot attain salvation by fasting in this way.” (1)

On organisational unity

Namaskar
Baba has told to follow yama-niyama, without this sadhana is impossible, & Baba says margiis have to follow 16pts strictly. Yama-niyama and 16pts are common for all the margis, whoever post top to Bottom holding in Marga, has to follow strictly.

Those who will follow it will develop deepest love and respect with Baba and His organization. They will like to be united, will never cry for their power post and prestige. Such margiis will never be disunited because their goal and mission is same.

Humans make mistakes and rectify them for their life improvement. Individually improve oneself to be united.

Islam: Why is there so much killing and bloodshed - 2

Note: A link to part one has been appended below in section 5.

"Islam was created both from these crude pagan practices and from the basic theological elements of Christianity and Judaism as Muhammad [often erroneously] understood them (his inaccurate interpretation of Christianity, for example, is often attributed to an early experience with fringe cults in the Palestinian region, then known as Syria).

Muhammad was born around 570 AD to a widowed mother who died just six years later. He grew up poor and orphaned on the margins of society, which was controlled by tribal chiefs and trading merchants. He worked for his uncle, Abu Talib, as a camel herder. Although his uncle had some standing in the community, Muhammad himself did not rise above his lowly station until he was 25, when he met and married a wealthy widow, Khadija, who was 15 years older.

Tales from Judaism, Christianity, and paganism brought into

His wife's trading business not only nurtured Muhammad's natural talents of persuasion, but it also gave the successful salesman an opportunity to travel and acquire knowledge that was not as accessible to the local population. He would later use this to his advantage by incorporating the stories that he had come across into his "revelations" from Allah, particularly the tales from the earlier religions, Judaism and Christianity.

Having attained a comfortable lifestyle and the idle time that wealth affords, Muhammad would wander off occasionally for periods of meditation and contemplation. It is quite likely that he was experiencing the symptoms of a midlife crisis, including a desire for personal accomplishment and meaning.

One day, at the age of 40, he told his wife that he had been visited by the angel Gabriel in a dream. Thus began a series of "revelations" which lasted almost until his death 23 years later. The Qur’an is a collection of words that Muhammad attributed to Allah. The Hadith is a collection of narrations of the life and deeds of Muhammad. The Sira is his recorded biography. The Sunnah is said to be Muhammad's way of life, on which Islamic law (Sharia) is based.

Self-proclaimed prophet began attacking others religion

With his wife’s influence and support, Muhammad proclaimed himself a prophet in same "lineage" as that of Abraham and Jesus, and began trying to convert those around him to his new religion. He narrated the Quran to those who believed him, telling them that it was the word of Allah (heard only by himself, of course).

Muhammad's Quran did not contain a single original moral value and it contributed only one new idea to world religion - that Muhammad is Allah's prophet. In fact, Muhammad's "Allah" seemed oddly preoccupied with making sure Muslims knew to obey Muhammad's every earthly wish, as this mandate is repeated at least twenty times in the narration of the Quran.

Combining all 300 of their pagan idols under the name “Allah”

In the beginning, Muhammad did his best to compromise his teachings with the predominant beliefs of the community’s elders, such as combining all 300 of their idols under the name “Allah.” His amalgamation of Judeo-Christian theology and pagan tradition grew more sophisticated over time. He also used his "revelations from Allah" to repeatedly affirm his own position. Even if he did not remember the Biblical stories correctly, for example, each one was conspicuously modified to incorporate a common theme: "Believe in the Messenger (Muhammad) or suffer the consequences."

According to early Muslim historians, the Meccans did not mind Muhammad practicing his religion, nor did they feel threatened by his promotion of it. This changed only after the self-proclaimed prophet began attacking their religion, including the customs and ancestors of the people (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 167). This was enough to stir up the resentment of the influential leaders of Mecca, who then mocked his humble background against his pretentious claims. (See also MYTH: Muhammad was Persecuted for Preaching Islam)" (1)

Q & A with Dr Ravi Batra

Question to Dr Batra:

Some have written that your economic prediction for the depression of 1990 was wrong. Kindly tell us what is your reply to those people?

Reply from Dr Batra:

Thanks for your email. The book called The Great Depression of 1990 had two parts: one was the theory that depressions are caused by extreme wealth concentration. That part was hotly disputed, but few deny today that extreme inequality causes massive poverty. So the theory part of that book is accepted by most people.

The second part of that book was the forecast that a global depression would start in 1990. This prediction turned out to be wrong but not completely. First Japan did go into depression; second the United States faced a steep recession in 1990; my forecast for America turned out to be partly wrong, because I did not foresee the role of China in supporting the US economy. China, once America's sworn enemy, loaned almost $3 trillion to the US government, and this prevented the depression. If someone lends so much money, even a beggar can become a billionaire.

In my subsequent books, I took China's role into account, so that my forecasting record has jumped to over 90% accuracy. 95% of my forecasts made in The New Golden Age, written in 2006, have been accurate, and other forecasts are materializing right now.

The enclosed article in Fort Worth Weekly examines my overall forecasting record.

New Book by Ravi Batra Highlights Economic Trends and Reforms for 2016
Press Release:  – Wed, Jan 6, 2016 19:39 GMT
DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - Jan 6, 2016) - Ravi Batra, author of End Unemployment Now: How to Eliminate Joblessness, Debt and Poverty Despite Congress, has made a career out of making accurate forecasts. He claims an over 90 percent success rate in his predictions that seem to be borne out by what he has written in the past. For instance, in two books penned in 1978 and 1980, he foresaw the fall of Soviet communism before the end of the century, a forecast that earned him the medal of the Italian Senate in 1990.
In another book published in 2006 and noted for its predictive accuracy, The New Golden Age: The Coming Revolution against Political Corruption and Economic Chaos, he made forecasts for the next 10 years. He prophesied a very deep recession starting in 2007, along with a lingering malaise and stagnation at least till 2016. The title of this book says it all. He also foresaw the Bush and Obama bailouts along with a giant increase in federal debt. Regarding oil, he predicted a continuing bubble that would crash after 2012. It seems everything he said or wrote in 2006 has come true.
What is in store for us in 2016? That is where his new book, End Unemployment Now, comes in. "2016 is going to be a year of the climax," says Batra, an economics professor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. "It will be a year in which a revolution begins against the rule of money, leading to economic reforms by 2018. After that a golden age starts and is in place around the end the decade."
End Unemployment Now (www.ravibatra.com) explains the reason behind what is now known as The Great Recession and offers a variety of reforms. "The main cause of our troubles is monopoly capitalism, which is a system dominated by giant companies that charge high prices, pay low wages and extract huge productivity from employees," says Batra. "As a result, supply rises faster than demand and generates layoffs. So the solution lies in breaking up the behemoths and returning to free markets, where small firms engage in price and quality competition."
However, politicians are beholden to wealthy corporations and will not permit such reforms, at least until the revolution. Batra says there are existing laws that any U.S. president can use to quickly eradicate poverty and joblessness, making Congress irrelevant to the restoration of prosperity. For instance, the president can ask the FDIC to create what is known as a "bridge bank" that would compete with large banks. This step could trim interest rates on credit cards by as much as 66 percent, he says. "Using The FDIC alone can cut poverty in half in just a week," an outlandish claim that, according to Batra, "depends on the president acting courageously like the FDR and not worry about the political fallout."
If recent financial turmoil is any indication, we may do well to pay heed to Batra's words.
About Ravi BatraDr. Ravi Batra, a professor of economics at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, is the author of five international bestsellers. His latest book is "End Unemployment Now: How to Eliminate Joblessness, Debt and Poverty Despite Congress" (www.ravibatra.com). Batra received the Pratima and Navin Doshi Award for his contributions to economic analysis. In 1990, the Italian prime minister awarded him a Medal of the Italian Senate for writing a book that correctly predicted the downfall of Soviet communism, 15 years before it happened.

2016 Will Be a Tumultuous Year
by
©Ravi Batra

I have written many books in my life and some of them made a variety of forecasts. For instance in a book published at the end of 2006, I pinpointed the year in which a major recession would start in the United States and then engulf the world. Some of my words in The New Golden Age were:
The economy will steadily get worse with home prices falling and layoffs rising…(p.173)
The housing bubble appears to be a major event, which once had a lot of momentum but is now beginning to recede. It is likely to burst in 2008, give or take a year. The burst could start in 2007 and continue till 2009. (p.175)
The economy could still face a steep recession because of rising oil prices, but avoid the calamity of a depression. Unemployment could rise to the level of 10 percent or more. (p.179)
The rest is history. The housing bubble punctured in mid-2007, whereas, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the so-called Great Recession began in December 2007 and ended in July 2009. In addition the stock markets crashed between October 2007 and March 2009, while unemployment rose to 10% by the end of 2010.
About oil, my forecast was that “the current bubble could go on till 2011 and then crash in 2012.” (p. 175.) This forecast was off slightly, because the oil price began to collapse in 2014, and continues to crash. However, remember that all these forecasts were made in 2006.
Now the question is: what is in store for us in 2016. Given that poverty in the United States is the worst in more than 50 years, a large swath of Americans—even the poor around the world – looks forward to a major change in society; they see how money has corrupted politics and economic policy; they feel hopeless and wish to God that some one would put an end to the rule of money. It is in this spirit, I have written a poem, which ends with a message of hope in 2016. (I started writing this poem in 2010 and completed it last December.)

God’s Washer Man Plan: A New Year Message
When righteousness dies and sin prevails
God makes a plan to end travails
Leaders rise to destroy greed and cruelty
To restore honesty and end poverty
The wicked tremble as crowds roar
You will not grab our wealth any more
The corrupt are put to slander and shame
Economists helping them get the blame
O Big Business, heed the clarion call
For God is about to make you fall
Our Father is now well enraged
His washer man plan is taking shape
A washer man slams clothes on jagged rocks
To cleanse them of dirt and dross
God has lifted rich CEOs to a new height
To slam them down in a terrible blight
They will now pay for stealing from the poor
And go to jail, it is crystal clear
This will end the rule of acquisitors
While sanity, humanity and people will be victors
Watch the world dance in celebration
As tyrants face humiliation
The oligarchs are arrogant and mean
Worry not, God’s plan will start in 2016

You are transcendental, You are beyond everything - Is that why You come secretly?

PS Intro: This Prabhat Samgiita depicts the  madhura bhava - where the bhakta has a most intimate and loving relation with Parama Purusa with the closest proximity.

Ananda Marga Philosophy states, "One of the many bhávas is madhura bháva. Madhura bháva is a very exalted bháva, for this bháva fills the mind with sweetness and bliss and leads the aspirant to the closest proximity of the Lord. To a person who is predominantly a devotee of the Lord, everything tastes sweet, there is nothing bitter in the creation of Parama Puruśa. He is attracting you through the ectoplasmic world, binding you through the bonds of love." (1)

"Tomáy ámáy gopan dekhá,hobe priyo maner końe..." (Prabhat Samgiita #2129)

Purport:

O’ Parama Purusa, O’ my dearmost, our intimate meeting, our sharing of the heart, will happen in the remote corner of my mind.  You will grace me by coming. There I will talk with You - I will whisper my inner feeling to You. Nobody will know and nobody will see – and also nobody will understand  about this intimate relation of ours.

O’ Divine One, You will arrive in my most anticipated, overflowing heart with the softness of flowers. Adorned by garlands, You will graciously take Your seat. In the sweet atmosphere of that illuminating moon-lit, full moon night, we'll be together in the madhuban (abode of nectar) of my mind.

O’ my dearmost Baba, whatever little I understand about You and whatever little I know of You, I know that You are the Infinite Entity, who is beyond words and language. You can't be held by thinking or the mastery of knowledge. You are above such limited expression. Nobody can sing Your glory with their own voice. You are transcendental. You are beyond everything. Is that why You come secretly?

Baba, O’ Parama Purusa, I will see You in the madhuban of my heart, in the sweet and divinely vibrated place deep in the recesses of my mind. Please shower Your causeless grace by giving me parabhakti...

Petty people have left behind only scornful mirth and derisive laughter

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "In the annals of human history, many truths and falsehoods have been recorded. Attempts have been made to belittle the importance of great personalities, to erase them from the pages of history, and often small and insignificant people have been magnified and presented as great. But none of these attempts has been successful. Everything is written on the pages of eternal time exactly as it happened; the selfish and vain efforts of petty people have left behind only scornful mirth and derisive laughter on the vast canvas of eternal time." (1)

In the above quote Baba is guiding us that anti-social elements or bad people highlight themselves and distort history. But in due course they get exposed and their real status is reveald amongst and put in the garbage.

That is what has happened here. Following examples demonstrate that in at last two scenarios Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s name has been removed. Below is the related news and comment courtesy of zeenews-India & Indian Express.

News - Govt removes Indira, Rajiv Gandhi's names from 'Hindi Diwas' awards

"As per reports, the awards in question are - 'Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Puraskar' and 'Rajiv Gandhi Rashtriya Gyan-Vigyan Maulik Pustak Lekhan Puraskar'. These will now be known as 'Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar' and 'Rajbhasha Gaurav Puraskar', respectively.
The awards are given by the Ministry of Home Affairs each year on 'Hindi Diwas' for progressive use of the language." (2)

Comment: We are living in a democracy , not monarchy. Independent India emerged because of the sacrifice & dedication of many freedom fighters not because of any royal family-- so due credits goes to the real hero's - the way NDA named it now. Congrats !! (3)

News - Stamps with Indira, Rajiv Gandhi discontinued

"Two stamps featuring Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, launched by the Department of Posts (DoP) in December 2008 as part of its series titled Builders of Modern India, have been discontinued, an RTI query by The Indian Express has revealed. The government now plans to introduce stamps under a new series featuring Deendayal Upadhyaya, Jayaprakash Narayan, Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Ram Manohar Lohia in the coming months." (4)

Example: wrong things published in
Ananda Marga philosophy book

Namaskar,
In our Ananda Marga books there are so many errors and flaws made by Tiljala Publication. Here is one example: Read the below and pay particular attention to the words in red. This is how they printed it in the actual book.

"Let me try to explain the nature of the mutual relationship between the microcosm and universal rhythms with a simple analogy. Suppose a young boy is flying a kite high in the sky. It seems the kite has an apparent link with someone on earth, but that is not the fact. The kite has a link with the spindle in the hands of the boy through a thin thread. The kite flies at a certain altitude according to the sweet will of the boy. The microcosm and universal rhythm also are linked by an invisible spiritual bond in exactly the same way. That’s why it is said that microcosms are only granted "dominion status"; whereas a complete independence is vested with the universal rhythm." (1)

The publishers should have printed the paragraph like this (see below)- please pay particular attention to the words in blue:

"Let me try to explain the nature of the mutual relationship between the microcosm and universal rhythms with a simple analogy. Suppose a young boy is flying a kite high in the sky. It seems the kite has no an apparent link with someone on earth, but that is not the fact. The kite has a link with the spindle in the hands of the boy through a thin thread. The kite flies at a certain altitude according to the sweet will of the boy. The microcosm and universal rhythm also are linked by an invisible spiritual bond in exactly the same way. That’s why it is said that microcosms are only granted "dominion status"; whereas a complete independence is vested with the universal rhythm."

This dominion state means that humans are not fully free but somewhat free. In other discourses, Baba has given the analogy of a cow or goat tied on a 100’ rope. That cow or goat has freedom to go wherever it wishes within that dominion of 100'. The cow does not have the ability to go beyond the length of that rope. So it has freedom up to a certain point - not beyond. That is what is meant by dominion state.

The mistake made in the above paragraph is quite clear. The publishers wrote, "It seems like the kite has an apparent link with someone on earth." This is completely wrong. It should be, "It seems like the kite has no an apparent link with someone on earth."

If still this is not clear then write us. Those who apply themselves will easily understand.

in Him,
Pradiip

O’ Parama Purusa, You graced me in my meditation
and then with disdain You left me

"Ámáre phele gele, dhuláy avahele, e jeno jhará phule, karile hatádar,..." (Prabha Samgiita #4815)

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart.

Purport:

O’ Parama Purusa, You graced me in my dhyana and then disappeared. With disdain, derision== You left me, leaving me lying there, alone in the dust. You discarded me as if I am just like one wilted flower, this way You ignored me.

O’ my Lord, I was at the altar - at the crown - day and night, always. I was very close to you. And now I have fallen to the ground, covered in the dust. I am all alone.

O’ my Dearmost, You graced me, You were in my heart and You were in my mind - satiating my existence.  O’ the Supreme One, O’ the great ocean of infinite qualities and attributions, You shall remain in my meditation and dhyana forever. You are so gracious.

O’ Parama Purusa Baba, I do not seek anything transitory from You. And even if you give me something mundane, I will not accept it. Those things will not remain forever. O’ my Lord, I have only one singular longing: Please grace me by smiling in my dhyana sadhana O’ Manohar [1].

O’ Parama Purusa You graced me by coming in my dhyana...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #4815

[1] Manohar: Literally means the mind has been stolen. When Parama Purusa blesses the bhakta by coming very close, then the bhakta’s mind becomes suffused with the thought of Parama Purusa. The sadhaka can think of no other. Only the thought of Parama Purusa is coming in the mind - again and again. In that state, the bhakta’s mind is no longer their own. Their mind is constantly engaged in the thought of Parama Purusa. Hence it is said, the mind has been stolen, i.e. manohar.

The complete seeds of welfare are embedded in Sixteen Points

“The very import of the history of human welfare is the history of struggle and strife. Even the sweet gospels of peace could not be preached in an environment of peace and composure. Devils did not allow the apostle of peace to work peacefully – that is why I say that peace is the outcome of fight. This endeavour at the well-being of the human race concerns everyone – it is yours, mine and ours. We may afford to ignore our rights, but we must not forget our responsibilities. Forgetting the responsibility implies the humiliation of the human race. In order to march ahead on the road of human welfare, we will have to strengthen ourselves in all the arena of life. The complete seeds of welfare in all the spheres – physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual – are embedded in the sixteen points. Hence be firm on the sixteen points.” (Ananda Vanii #45)

********************************************
Prout: mischief-mongers who create language disputes must read this

"The problem of language is affecting the human society like a chronic disease. Ignorance of the proper meaning of different languages has made the confusion worse. Language is a medium of expression. There are six stages in the process of expression. The seed of expression is called Parashakti and lies in the Muládhára Cakra (or basic plexus). In the Svádhisthána Cakra (or fluidal plexus), a person mentally visualises the expression. The mental vision of one's expression is called Pashyanti Shakti. In the Mańipura Cakra (or solar plexus) this mental vision is transformed into mental sound which is called Madhyamá Shakti. The person now wants to express that feeling. This endeavour to express the feeling is called Dyotamáná Shakti. It works between the navel area and the throat. In the vocal cord it transforms an idea into language. This is called Vaekharii Shakti. After Vaekharii it is transformed into actual spoken language and is termed Shrutigocará. Thus linguistic differences are manifest only in the sixth stage of expression. In the first five stages there is no distinction or variation in the expression. A great deal of inter-community conflict could be checked if linguists and the mischief-mongers who create language disputes knew this fundamental fact. In essence, it is ignorance that brings untold miseries to humanity. It is a great folly on the part of prakrti to create so many languages, but diversity is the law of nature." (1)

Borne in mind that hindrances are beneficial to human beings - Ananda Vanii #4

“The purport of Dharma Sádhaná is to look upon every person, every object of this universe as one integral entity. To jeopardize the unity of the human race by creating factions is not the purpose of Dharma. Those who encourage vested interests survive on the mental weaknesses of people and their dissensions, and that is why they are scared of the spread of the ideals of Dharma and exhibit their intolerance towards it in all sorts of immoral ways, such as abuse, false propaganda and lies. People must not be cowed by this, they have got to march ahead. It is to be borne in mind that hindrances are beneficial to human beings on the path of righteousness and to continue to fight against them is what is sádhaná.”

Note: The above is one of Baba’s original Ananda Vaniis. These original and true Ananda Vaniis are unique, eternal guidelines that stand as complete discourses in and of themselves. They are unlike Fake Ananda Vaniis which are fabricated by most of the groups - H, B etc.

Prout: which language is the best?

“In the past undeveloped persons used to express their thoughts through gestures and postures. A time will come when there will be no language. With the advancement of science human beings may again adopt new types of postures and gestures, and they may think of using the energy saved by minimizing the use of spoken language for higher pursuits.

Intelligent people will evolve a common world language and will not be guided by false, narrow sentiments. Like all other mundane property, languages are the common property of the Cosmic Father. We should love all these languages, hate none, and adopt one of these languages as the world language. As all languages are our common property, we should not oppose the existence of other languages. We should not brand any language as foreign or national.

In the present system the English language deserves to be the world language because it is scientific and widely spoken. It would be a great folly for any government to deny this fact. With the change of time future generations may select any other language as the world language. Thus we should adopt a common lingua franca for the mutual exchange of ideas. For this purpose English may be accepted as the world lingua franca for some time more. We should however feel that all the languages of the world are our own languages. No language should be treated as indigenous, foreign or national, and nobody should treat the world language as a foreign language and discourage its propagation.” (1)

Who accuse whom for their own evil deeds

Ananda Marga scripture says, ”People often hold Parama Purusa responsible for calamities that befall them, but in fact they alone are responsible, as the suffering of fate is only reaction of their own previous actions. How can Parama Purusa be responsible? Human beings themselves are answerable for their fate as it is their actions alone which create it. They alone will have to bear the consequences of all their actions. No one else can substitute for them. Their good deeds beget good result, while bad ones beget bad results, and they will have to experience both without exception. This is the law of Prakrti and no one can change this law.” (1)

This topic is very hard for some people to understand - indeed it seems it is almost impossible for them to grasp. In their mind, they cannot think that they should not blame Parama Purusa - i.e. they cannot think that Parama Purusa does not give tests to harass His devotees.

I know one person who lost his faith in his Guru and he was blaming that Guru is the cause He destroyed my mind. I was shocked to hear this.

Those who know a little about Ananda Marga philosophy know that one must face the consequences of their bad deeds and that brings about all kinds of problems. But those who are 3rd class devotees never realise.

Some go to such an extent that they wrote an entire book blaming Parama Purusa for “giving tests and misdirecting my mind and in result I commit wrongs and sins.” Those who blame Parama Purusa in this way unfortunately suffer from dry sadhana.

Who is worse: God-fearing worshipers or atheists

Namaskar,

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The word “godly” and “god-fearing” do not have the same meaning. Behind godliness is a soul-stirring sentiment – an ardent zeal to realize one’s true Self; and the reason behind the fear of God is the important attempt to escape from the consequential suffering of one’s misdeeds. Yet the latter is still superior to the atheists, because at least for fear of divine punishment they refrain from sinful acts. The greatest advantage of the theists is that they do not endure the pangs of internal clash. But no matter how brazenly sceptics indulge in tall talks or sharpen the edge of their verbal weapons to win in an argument, there is always a fight going on in their minds. Reading a few pages of a book or listening to the eloquences of a few speakers, they seek to violate their own nature. With their fragmental external knowledge they try to struggle against the indivisible Supreme Entity, and in the end, being defeated, the say, “If He does exist, then why can’t we find Him?” Yet all the while their inner selves lament within them.” (1)

Note: There are three key and important points from the above teaching.

(1) The religions preach that one must be God-fearing otherwise God will punish and destroy you. They think that is the best possible relationship one can have with the Divine, i.e to be God-fearing. According to Ananda Marga philosophy, fear is worst type of relation with God. If one fears Him they will not like to go close to Him. In which case, one can never become one with that Divine Entity. So it is very obvious that by this religious formula, no one can reach the Supreme One.

(2) The teachings of Ananda Marga are the topmost: Ananda Marga preaches that one should cultivate love for the Divine Entity. By that way, the devotee wishes to go close to Him and ultimately becomes one with Him, by His grace.

(3) The status of atheists is worse than followers of the dogmatic religions. Religious adherents refrain from doing bad due to fear of the Lord. But atheists have two problems. First, they do not have any genuine, dharmic rules in their life. Secondly, such atheists perpetually suffer from existential issues. With their logic they say they do not believe in God and try to disprove His existence, yet their heart tells them otherwise. Then their logical mind retorts, “If God exists then why can I not see Him?” So they live in a perpetual dilemma - always in limbo. That is why Baba says that no one is an atheist. All in all, their condition is pathetic as they live in perpetual crisis and misery.

in Him,
Mayatiita

Please be gracious, remaining forgetful about You,
my whole life is getting wasted

"Tomáre bhúle bhesechi akúle,karuńá karo he krpá nidhán,..."  (Prabhat Samgiita 2206)

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart.

Purport:

O' Parama Purusa, O' Baba, remaining forgetful about You, my whole existence is floating aimlessly without a Goal or destination. Sometimes I think this mundane thing is my goal. Other times I think that mundane thing is my goal. By this way, my life is getting wasted. O' karuńá-Personified, merciful, ever-gracious One, please be gracious and bestow Your karuńá [1] upon me. Please save me  from avidya maya. My days pass in meaningless pursuits - various vicious, negative works. I remain oblivious about the gift which You have graciously bestowed upon me. You have given me a human body & mind but I could not use these precious gifts of Yours, to do sadhana.

Baba, You have graciously sent me to do Your work - sadhana, seva, sacrifice - and fulfill Your desire, follow Your command, execute Your task, serve everyone, and fill this world with colour and beauty. You have given me the duty to bring happiness in the life of all living beings, after wiping away their tears, and fill everyone's life with bliss.

Baba, still some time is remaining in my life. If You shower a wee-bit of Your cosmic grace on me then what cannot happen. Everything is possible. My only request is that You bless me with Your varabhaya mudra - with that strength I can go on completing all Your allotted tasks. And I can go on singing Your song and spreading Your glory always - and continue serving all with the ideation of Narayana.

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #2206:

[1] Karun'a': This is when one is pained by seeing another's suffering and feels, "I should help them.” This type of empathetic feeling is karun'a'. For example, suppose you saw one beggar who is suffering. By seeing his pitiful situation then you felt in your heart that, "I should help him and remove his suffering. This very feeling of the heart towards that suffering beggar is the expression of karuna'.

Similarly, suppose a bhakta is suffering and unable to move ahead in the physical, psychic, or spiritual realm. In such circumstances, Parama Purusa cannot bear to watch His bhaktas go through so much suffering. When devotees are helpless and trying hard to move ahead on their forward journey and they face all kinds of obstacles, complexes, bondages, and suffering due to their own samskaras - and the situation arises where they can no longer move ahead - seeing this unbearable scene, Parama Purusa feels He must rescue them immediately from their suffering. With His deep empathy and mercy, Parama Purusa removes their suffering, so that once again they can move ahead in all realms of life. This entire liila is called His karun'a'.

Difference Between Krpa' & Karun'a'

In the case of karun'a', Parama Purusa is moved by a bhakta's suffering and comes forward to save that bhakta from their suffering. With krpa' (grace), the bhakta is not suffering but even then Parama Purusa is bestowing His blessing.

It is just like if a baby is sick and with great empathy a neighbor selflessly gives that infant more attention without expecting anything in return. That neighbor just lovingly places the sick baby on her lap in a very special way and serves the baby. That is karuna. Because the neighbor is moved and motivated into action by seeing the sick child's suffering. In contrast, if that same baby is not sick, and the neighbor just wishes to bring the baby on her lap to serve the baby, then that is krpa.

Similarly, when out of empathy Parama Purusa lovingly comes to the aid of His suffering devotee to relieve them of their spiritual strife, that is His karuna; and, if that same devotee is not suffering devotionally, yet Baba still bestows His blessing, that is His krpa.

So there is a distinct difference between krpa (grace) and karuna (compassion).

When Parama Purusa showers His karuna He helps that suffering person and relieves them of their pain and agony - in all spheres of life.

Inspire those who are liars and criminals to lead honest lives - Ananda Vanii #8

“Those who can maintain their restraint in spite of intense provocation are the real spiritual aspirants. They alone have overcome anger. Inspire those who are liars and criminals to live honest lives by pointing out their defects. This is the only spiritual approach to punish wrongdoers. Supreme truth is ever resplendent and can never be tarnished by false propaganda.”
