Seeing Him: special tips + 4 more

Baba
Seeing Him: special tips

Namaskar,

It is the duty of every sincere margii to do Guru sakash upon waking. In the practice of Guru Sakash, it is explained that one should see Guru in varabhaya mudra. And for that, the pratikrti [photo] has been given.

Those who remain 24 hours in manan, shravan, nidhidhyasana, pranayama, mantra japa etc, then, for them, visualization is very easy and blissful. But for others it is not easy. This following process is for those who in the deep core of their heart want to visualize Him with sincerity and bhakti.

This below section is not for all. This is for those who feel that Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji is Sadguru, the Supreme Entity, Parama Purusa. This below guideline is useless for those who do not have this type of feeling.

Process to enhance Guru sakash & related lessons

1. One should place Baba's (varabhaya mudra) photo before them.

2. Then they should keep their eyes open, gaze at the photo intently, and mentally extend their hand (not physical hand) and hold His feet mentally, and start serving Him mentally. Mentally, they should go on repeating His name “Baba’ (all the while keeping their eyes open and gazing at His feet or photo with open eyes.) Ask His grace - beseeching Him mentally. And do only those things which feel very natural. During this point #2, the eyes are open the entire time.

3. Then they may close their eyes and try to do all of point #2 in the mind, i.e. with the eyes closed.

4. If point #3 does not work they should go back to point #2.

5. Repeat the process (i.e. points #2 and #3) again & again.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Early in the morning one should meditate on the Guru in Vara'bhaya Mudra … and address Him with your most loving and affectionate epithet..." (1)

So the idea is to sweetly call Him using your most loving and affectionate epithet, and that is the term ‘Baba’. Verily, as sadhakas and bhaktas, we affectionately address Him as ‘Baba’. That is why all Ananda Margiis emphatically raise the slogan: “Parama Pita Baba Kii - Jai!!”

Baba is ever-gracious; certainly, you will feel His grace.

Instructions for Guru sakash

Here below is that special section of the discourse where Baba speaks specifically about Guru Sakash and how to ideate upon Him.

Pra'tah shirasi shuukle'abje dvinetram' dvibhujam' gurum'...

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Early in the morning one should meditate on the Guru in Vara'bhaya Mudra with two hands and two eyes seated on a white lotus in Guru cakra, and address Him with your most loving and affectionate epithet..." (2)

Note: The photo should be medium size, i.e. 10” X 12”  at least or larger - not just a small postcard version. The larger the photo the greater the clarity.

Your dance

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart.

"Esecho tumi esecho, bhuvan bhariyá esecho, yugántarer gláni sariye diye,
áloker dhárá enecho..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3289)

Purport:

MyParama Purusa, Baba, You have come and have filled the entire world with bhakti. After removing ages and ages worth of agonies, You brought the flow of divine refulgence.

Baba, no one will remain in the dark any longer. You are the embodiment of these avenues: karma, knowledge, dhyana, and bhakti. You are the ocean of love, immeasurable, and infinite - ever ensconced in the fountain of love and affection.

Baba, Parama Purusa, the creation, preservation, and withdrawal is held within You. Guńátiita, the three gunas - sattva, rajah, tamah - are within You; Kálátiita, You go on performing Your cosmic liila with the time-factor. You dance according to the rhythm of Your divine liila’...

Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #3289:

[#1] Gun'a'tiita: One of the infinite characteristics of Parama Purusa is that He is beyond the gun'as, beyond all the binding principles like sa'ttvagun'a, rajogun'a, and tamogun'a.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Why is He beyond the scope of all attributions [binding principles]? There are two reasons. One is that He is the creator of everything, so He is the creator of qualifications also, attributions also. So how can He be within the binding scope of those principles, of those qualifications? And certainly He is beyond the reach of these qualifications. In Sam'skrta, qualification or attribution is called “gun'a”, and He is called “Gun'a'tiita”, that is, beyond the bondage of any gun'a." (1)

[#2] Kalatiita: Time is the psychic measurement of motivity of action. The entity who is beyond time is Kalatiita; time is not eternal - time is limited. Only Parama Purusa is infinite. Parama Purusa precedes time factor - He was present before there was time. Or we can say that before creation there was no time but there was Parama Purusa. That is why He is beyond time, i.e. Kalatiita.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "Time is the mental measurement of the motivity of action. Where there is no action or where there is no mind to measure, there cannot be any time either. If there were no earth, or if the earth had not revolved around the sun, or if there were no developed living beings to measure the movement of the earth around the sun, then there would have been no days, months or years. We could not have measured them, and thus there would have been no time either. Hence the existence of time depends on two factors: the motivity of action and the instrument to measure this motivity of action...what we call Eternity is a collection of numerous fragments of time." (2)

[#3] What is time

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Time is not an eternal factor. Because what is time? It is mental reckoning of the motivity of action. This mental reckoning of the motivity of action [means that] where there is no action, there cannot be any time. The earth moves around the sun; that is how we get the solar year, the solar month, the solar day. The moon moves round the earth; that is how we get the lunar month, the lunar year, the lunar [day]. And the solar year or lunar year, the solar day or lunar day, are mental reckonings of their movements. Wherever there is no action, the possibility of measurement does not arise. And where there is action but no personal entity, no personal factor to measure the motivity, there cannot be any time. So the time factor is a relative factor; there cannot be eternal time. Time cannot be the absolute factor." (3)

Path of AM

Ananda Marga Shabda Cayanika states, “The common people, let alone the master artists, know that sound is not emitted if the strings are loosened too much and the soft and delicate strings snap if they are tightened too much. Human life is also like this. If one practises too much austerity (in some cases, if one makes a parade of austerity), tender human sensitivities snap and break into smithereens’ the soft, delicate parts of the mind get charred and petrified. On the other hand, if life is made akin to a loose string, the nobler yearnings of life will never be fulfilled. In other words, that kind of life degenerates into the life of an animal characterized only by bathing, eating and sleeping. Hence one must never allow the string of life to be loose. But also the string of life should not be left to snap due to excessive strain. The ideal course of life is neither left-oriented nor right-oriented. This kind of life will be conspicuous by the absence of strife, mayhem or horror of the leftists and of toleration of injustices by the rightists in their loose, careless and sloppy life. It is this ideal course that will usher in a life worth yearning for a super-human existence, divinely exquisite and shining brightly on the banner of gold.” (1)

Note: In the above quote Baba is explaining how Ananda Marga is the middle path. The rule of Ananda Marga is neither the lazy way of praying to nature or idol worship like the loose path, nor is it the path of extreme penance like standing on one leg for 20 years or sitting on a burning fire like avidya tantrikas. Ananda Marga is the ideal path. We follow 16 Points very strictly.

One should know that Ananda Marga is the middle path. Strictly following 16 points is the middle path. In His above teaching, Baba is referring to (a) avidya tantrikas who are very extreme in their penance and (b) idol worshippers. The middle point is Ananda Marga. Sadhakas should be very strict in 16 points. That is what is being taught in the above guideline.

How to elevate needy communities

Prout philosophy states, “In capitalism or democracy the state is theoretically for the welfare of the majority, but in practice it is the rule of the minority of vaeshyas. Other groups of people are forced to become second grade citizens.”

“The Proutistic social order follows the principle sarva jana hitáya – that is, PROUT is for the welfare of all. Nobody is suppressed or oppressed. PROUT supports the rule of sadvipras. Only sadvipras can guarantee the all-round welfare of all groups of people because sadvipras represent the interests of all classes in society.”

“Until PROUT is established, however, special efforts should be made to protect the interests of backward classes. For example, tribal people are among the most deprived of the backward classes. In Tripura and many parts of India, and in other countries of the world as well, tribal people are poor and illiterate. Special steps should be taken immediately to enhance their socio-economic development. Such steps should include the removal of all educational inequalities; the widespread establishment of cottage industries; proper agricultural facilities, especially irrigation water; self-reliance in energy production, such as electricity; increased communication facilities, such as telephones; and better transportation infrastructure, such as railways.” (1)
